A Demon's Way w/ クローバー (Clover)

Hiroki grins a bit as he thinks of wanting to see Masaki jealous. It was a bit devious but fun in its own way for him. Ignoring this thought for now he heard noises. 'So how many butlers or maids do you have? Curious as these people will give me information on my Masaki that I don't know about yet." he said

"I don't have maids." Masaki said. "Only butlers. I have 10 servants total, 8 butlers and 2 personal chefs."

One of the butlers walked up to Masaki. He was rather young, looking somewhere in his early 30s. He had dark blue hair that was combed back neatly, and he wore a suit and tie.

"Good day, my prince. How are you?" the young man bowed.

"Good day, Kojiro." Masaki said. "I'm doing well. I'd like to introduce all of you to my boyfriend later, so please attend lunch with us."

"Of course, sir." he said. "Your meal will be ready promptly."

Kojiro bowed and walked off to the kitchen to consult the head chef.

"So that's ten staff members in all? Interesting indeed." he said smiling. Hiroki stared at the boy with a curious gaze. He didn't say anything as Masaki was planning to introduce him later. He then felt his stomach growl. "The wait for breakfast better be worth it."

"Oh, it will." Masaki said, winking. He opened the door to the dining room and 6 of the servants were already seated.

"Good day, my prince." they all said with a bow.

"Hello, my friends." Masaki said, motioning for them to sit. He sat at the head of the table, and he motioned for Hiroki to sit next to him.

"Are preparations for breakfast complete, Kenichi?" he asked.

"Yes, my prince." a brown-haired man stood. "The breakfast buffet is ready."

"All right, but why are only six of you here?" Masaki asked.

"Kai and Yukito went to help out the chefs, sir." Kenichi responded. "A buffet is really hard to put together."

Masaki thought for a moment then nodded.

"Very well. I'll pay them extra this month. Let's eat." he said, the servants getting up as the prince did.

Hiroki looked at those sitting by the table. He then sat beside Masaki. He looked at the food and couldn't wait to begin eating. Surprisingly he was hungrier than he had expected. He noticed how everyone spoke to Masaki with utmost respect. It was impressive.

Masaki looked over to Hiroki.

"Since you're our guest, would you like me to get your food for you?" he asked. He tried not to sound condescending, but he couldn't help but spoil the other demon a little. After all, the spoiling was a part of being royalty.

"No its fine. I wouldn't want you to do something you aren't use to." he said looking at him. So far Hiroki could tell Masaki was easily spoiled so serving him sounded odd. He didn't mind doing things for himself. Its always been like that for him. "Just tell me where to start and I'll go from there."

"It's a buffet, silly! Start from wherever you feel like!" Masaki smiled. "I really like the eggs florentine most. You should try it if you want a place to start!"

Masaki left Hiroki to go enjoy the buffet. He picked his favorite dish first and got some home fries and a savory crepe on the side. Though he wouldn't admit it, food was one of his greatest loves other than other people's company.

Hiroki felt silly for asking such a thing now. He then leans forwards slightly and began piling a little of everything onto his plate. Once he felt satisfied he sat down and started to eat. He was hungry and wasn't about to stop til he felt full. That often took a while since he could go days and moths without eating and be completely fine.

Masaki returned with one plate of eggs florentine and another of a couple other things. That was usually what he'd do when the cooks made breakfast buffets, so there was plenty of eggs florentine to go around. He sat back down at the head of the table, seeing Hiroki already munching away. He smiled and started eating as well. In between servings of eggs florentine, he stopped to talk.

"Do you like it?" he asked.

Hiroki glanced over to Masaki as the other asked. "Yeah. It's rather delicious and very filling. It's been a while since I could eat like this. If living in a palace means meals like this, I'd marry you today." he said only half teasing. He was seriously enjoying the meal. It was the first meals he's ever really enjoyed

Masaki giggled a little and blushed.

"I'm glad you like it, but I'm not the one you should thank for the food. Thank my chefs. Speaking of which..." he made a loud, whistling noise from his headset, which signaled his servants to come to him. All 8 butlers stood from their seats, and the cooks came from the kitchen.

"Gentlemen, I have a very special person I want to welcome to the household." he said. "This is Hiroki Kaname. Please treat him with the same respect you would give me."

"Yes, my prince." the employees said in unison, bowing together.

"I am Seiji, the head butler." the red-haired man immediately next to Hiroki said. He was about 6 feet tall and wore a tuxedo.

"My name is Matsu." the next man over said.

"Kojiro." the third one said.

"Kai." the fourth said.

"Yukito." the fifth said.

"Sato." the sixth said.

"Renji." the seventh said.

"Akihito." the eighth said.

"I'm Yoshiharu, the head cook." the ninth said.

"I'm Kamio, Yoshiharu's little brother and sous chef." the tenth said.

"Please make yourself at home." they all said before sitting.

Hiroki glanced at Masaki before realizing that made sense. Before he could ask where the chef was, Masaki called them all to order. As they greeted him and introduced themselves he smiled a bit. "Thank you but seriously no need to be so formal with me. I am not use to such a thing." he said as they had sat down. "Uh, Yoshiharu was it? Thank you for the meal. Its the best"

"Of course, Hiroki!" the chef smiled. "My brother and I only strive for the best!"

Masaki smiled as he continued to eat. After a while, his eating slowed and then halted.

"That was a great meal." he said.

Hiroki continued to eat even after Masaki stopped. He eventually stopped himself and sighs. "That was good. So now what should we do Masaki?" he asked him curiously. He didn't mind what it was they did. Although he wanted to make time to go outside into the garden.

"I'm not sure." Masaki said. "Do you want to take a walk in the woods? There's a nice lake out in the forest where we can swim."

He felt a little embarrassed asking the question since he usually didn't wear a swimsuit when he went to the lake. Though the lake was a public space, nobody was ever around when Masaki went, so it almost felt private to him.

Hiroki glanced over to the boy. "Sure that sounds like it could be fun. A swim with you." he said with a small smile. He was interested in seeing the other swim with him. He often had this advantage where he lived. So this was a chance to most likely learn something new about Masaki.

"Then we'll leave in ten minutes." Masaki said. "Seiji, make sure the buffet is cleaned up by the time we return."

"Yes, sir." the red-haired butler said, turning to inform the other servants that their master was leaving for a while.

"We'll take the same forest path we did yesterday." he said, walking over to the garden door.

Hiroki looked at him with a faint smile. He then followed Masaki back outside neat the garden. "These flowers sure do entice me so.... You are lucky I don't live here. I'd cause so much more trouble if I did." he mutters looking at a few of the flowers. He didn't say what he said as a joke. It was true that flowers did seem to be a thing of his but there was a reason.

"Why?" Masaki asked. "You're not much trouble now. Don't act like I'm not enjoying having you around."

Masaki led his friend out of the garden and back to the forest trail. He arrived at a two way junction. As he thought about what Hiroki said, Masaki didn't want to believe that his friend living with him would be anything but enjoyable.

"If we went left, we'd be at the restaurant, but..." he turned to the right path. "Let's go down the right path this time."

He started walking down the right path.

Hiroki looked at Masaki before following him. "You have a garden filled with flowers. I just wouldn't want to cause trouble around your palace. You don't know this yet but the glow in the flowers that surround me around not just a light. They are the souls of those who I have taken life from. Its more like they haunt me. Surprisingly they attach to the flowers. The more flowers the more glow. I wouldn't want that so I wouldn't plan on living with you any time soon." he said

Masaki looked sad. Almost hurt, but not quite since he knew it wasn't his fault. However, he was still scared of being alone again after Hiroki's warmth lulled him to sleep last night.

"Then... You'll want to leave after today, huh?" he said, a tear rolling down his face.

Hiroki was staring up at the sky. "Yeah I do plan to head back to my place. You can come with me if you want. It's not as fancy as here but it's warm." he said glancing at the other. "Masaki! Are you crying!?"
