"Grounded, huh? Well, that shouldn't be a problem at all. So, you accept?"

Mugen smirked and Haruto gulped, hoping that he wouldn't do anything scary to him. He nodded and agreed just in time the nurse returned to the infirmary.

"Oh, you kids are still here?" she said, turning to look at Haruto. "You may go now, Ushuzima-kun. I'll just check up Muritaka-kun for awhile." She smiled. Haruto glanced at Mugen and then bowed at her, hurriedly leaving the room.

When Haruto went back to his classroom, Takashi immediately was all over him, asking if Mugen was okay. Akira looked at him with an irritated look on his face but said nothing. Haruto thoughtlessly nodded at Takashi, his thoughts somewhere else.

He couldn't concentrate in class. The fact that Mugen smirked meant he had something in mind. Well, anyone who smirked really has something in mind but his smirk was more sly and more...sinister; it made Haruto shiver all over. His thoughts wandered to what may happen tomorrow when he comes over for dinner. Will his father be nice? Would Mugen's mother be there, too? Haruto gritted his teeth.

Why am I so worked up?

He ruffled his hair in exasperation, not noticing Akira who watched him, wondering what was wrong.

Mugen felt pleased with himself when Haruto agreed to come with him. He felt like he'd finally made some progress, even if it was just a little bit. Before they had time to talk about anything else, the nurse came back, apologizing for being late, saying the board meeting had over-run.

"Oh, you kids are still here?" she said, turning to look at Haruto. "You may go now, Ushuzima-kun. I'll just check up Muritaka-kun for awhile."

Mugen watched Haruto get up and leave the room. The glance didn't pass his notice, yes, he was definitely making progress. The nurse didn't do that much, seeing as Mugen was feeling better now anyways. The only pressing injury was the angry red mark on his forehead, but she said it would fade within the next two days or so, so it wouldn't be much of an issue. She offered to give Mugen a white bandage to cover it, but Mugen refused, thinking it would look even more noticeable if he tried to cover it. Eventually, he was sent out, just in time for fifth session.

When he walked into the classroom, note in hand, he saw Iwata look at him. His look gave everything away. He really wanted to know what had happened. In the gap between sessions, Iwata finally asked him the prime question.

"Dude, what the hell happened to your face?"

"I got hit in the face with a football fired by some stupid kid named Takeshi."

Iwata's eyes widened at that.

"Oh? You mean Takeshi of the pawn army? Anyway, looks like we all have injuries now~" Iwata grinned.

"Yeah, yeah."

"Also, what happened in the infirmary?"

"What?" Mugen turned, shocked. Had Iwata seen through him?

"Dude, everyone already knows you got the ass to help you into the infirmary. They also know he didn't come back until after lunch had ended. So~"

Mugen breathed a sigh of relief. He'd started to get worried then.He decided to tell Iwata what had happened, seeing as he was helping in his conquest anyway.

When he had finished, Iwata squeled like a school-girl, which cuased everyone to look at him and then look away again after a few seconds.

"Dude, that is so cute!"

"I wouldn't call it cute."

"But it is. So, how are you going to do it?"

"Do what?"

"Get him away from his security guards."

"What?"

Security guards. Is that what Haruto meant by 'grounded'?

"Yeah. They've been sitting it that old tree house all day. Looks kinda funny. They look like professionals though. So, how are you going to do it?"

Mugen didn't answer. He had absolutely no idea how he was going to smuggle Haruto past professional body guards. Iwata gave him a sly smile.

"Do you need help?"

Mugen, stubbonly, didn't answer.

"Come on~ You know you wanna..."

"Fine..."

"Yay!" Iwata shouted, causing everyone to look at him again.

This is going to be interesting... and probably not in the fun way.

It was the afternoon break when Akira decided to ask Haruto up front.

"What happened in the infirmary?"

Haruto, who had been revising History materials, looked up in surprise. "What?"

"The infirmary."

"Oh, uhm...well, Mugen asked me to come over for dinner."

Akira was, well, shocked. Haruto told him that he said yes and all the other details they had discussed. The taller of the two frowned and mentally retaliated for a reason he didn't understand.

"You sure you would be okay?" Haruto nodded.

"How can he get you past your bodyguards?" He blinked when Akira asked. How did he know? The other must have probably read his expression and he said, "It's kind of like the talk of the town now." Haruto groaned, rolling his eyes.

"I actually...don't know how we'll do it..."

Akira sighed. "I'd accompany you two."

Haruto widened his eyes and shook his head. No, not with what he did Iwata and Hawada. He didn't think Mugen would be so keen about letting him go after what happened. "Uhm, I don't think that's such a good idea."

"But I insist."

Haruto could not say anything. He thought that arguing with Akira was exhausting; he never expected for the guy to be so stubborn. He just shrugged and replied, "Fine. Suit yourself."

When classes finished, he slowly walked across the courtyard to the gate. His bodyguards suddenly leapt from the Void and in front of him, causing him to let out a manly shriek. "Holy -- you, two, gave me a fright!"

"Sorry Bocchan!" they said simultaneously, bowing so low (about 90 degrees). Haruto rolled his eyes.

"Let's go," he said, tossing his school bag at Leo and just accepted his fate for the day, entrusting his life into the hands of these two.

(I double posted by accident.)

The rest of the day passed uneventfully. Mugen's head still throbbed once every little while, but it was tolerable. Anyway, his mind was already focused on how the hell he was going to sneak Haruto past and away from his body guards tomorrow. Iwata had decided to give him a hand, but Mugen didn't know how much that wold help him, if at all.

As the final lesson ended, the two boys walked out of the classroom and started looking for Tsuna, to try and get his help. Tsuna was still getting his stuff when he saw the two of them outside his classroom door.

He noticed Mugen first.

"What happened?" he asked, tone as monotone as always but with a small hint of concern.

"Stupid football fanatics. Anyway-"

"Anyway!" Iwata shouted, cutting Mugen off "Tsuna, we need your help with Mugen's date."

Tsuna paused,

"Prince?"

"Yeah! Mugen here asked him over to his house for dinner as thank-you for something yesterday!" Iwata turned to Mugen, grinning. "You sly little dog you." He then turned back to Tsuna. "Problem is, the ass has securtiy guards and we have no idea how to get him away from them. So, could you help us out?"

Mugen took back the conversation from there.

"I can probably figure it out myself... but any help you could provide would be nice."

Tsuna didn't respond for a few moments. He seemed to be thinking. Finally, after a prolonged silence, he spoke.

"Sure..."

"Thanks Tsuna!" Iwata shouted.

After that, the three left the campus grounds together, just in time to see Haruto walking off with two men.

"Those them, Iwata?"

"Yeah! They look like they've come straight out of a bad spy movie, so they gotta be the real deal."

Mugen sighed and massaged his temple. This was definitely going to be a headache.

Tsuna split from them at the exit, saying goodbye and that he'd try and help anyway he could. As Iwata and Mugen walked home, they tried to come up with some ideas. Or, at least, Iwata did anyway.

"How about we set off a smoke bomb and leave like ninjas?"

"One, where would we get the bomb and two, that's stupid."

"Ok, so how about we set up an awesome diversion?"

"How?"

"Fine. What about we do that and go out the back way?"

"Ugh."

This continued for the entire walk back, until Mugen got to his house. He said goodbye to Iwata and then walked inside. His dad was in the kitchen cooking while Sakura sat on the couch in the living room, Fionna laying by her side as she watched some children's program. Mugen sighed and sat next to her, massaging his temple.

"Moo-Moo?" Sakura said, looking at him with cutely oblivious eyes. He smiled at her and lefted her up, playing with her for a bit before they were called in for dinner.

His dad chuckled when he saw the mark on his forehead.

"You get yourself into a fight now? What an irresponsible son i have raised."

"It was an accident..."

"Anyway, how did it go, did you ask him."

"Yeah."

"And did he accept?"

"Yeah, but-"

"Great, so we'll be having someone over tomorrow!"

Mugen didn't have time to tell his dad about the body-guards and so left it. After dinner, he felt drained and went up to sleep, stripping himself before falling onto his bed and sighing. Tomorrow was going to be a busy day. He just hoped it didn't all lead to nothing.

(ooh~ it's okay ^^)

Haruto's ride home surprisingly lifted his spirits up. His bodyguards were like children -- especially Kim -- and had pestered him throughout the ride. He forgot what it felt like having siblings so it had been a refreshing feeling. Haruto realized that if this kept up, it would not be so bad. Apparently, his father had chosen teddy bears. Large yet softies.

This was probably the effect of staying in the Void for too long.

When they got home though, the two men returned to their professional selves and accompanied him even up to his room. Haruto had instructed his butler to bring him his dinner upstairs; his was not in the mood to deal with his parents right now even though he knew that both were surprisingly home early. So, he had finished his meal in his room. But he wasn't alone. Haruto had secretly let his bodyguards in and listened to them talk about their childhood experiences.

Haruto didn't have any schoolwork to be done so he decided to doze off early. The events of today had drained him of his energy. And the thought of being in the same room as Mugen totally unnerved him even though he shouldn't have been. He dozed off while listening to Leo and Kim quarrel over some 2D idol who had huge breasts.

Haruto woke up the next day feeling unusually panic stricken.

I shouldn't worry about what would happen later.

But then he remembered that he had bodyguards so he kind of worried all the more.

He didn't eat breakfast at home. Instead, he had asked one of the maids to make him 3 sandwiches. She was quite shocked but followed anyway, bringing back 3 club sandwiches packed in a microwavable container. He ate on the ride to school and gave the other two to Leo and Kim who were both perplexed.

"Bocchan..."

"Just eat," he said, smiling. Kanda must have been surprised because they almost hit a biker along the way.

Getting off and walking to school, Haruto thought that if he'd be extra nice to his bodyguards today, they'd be lenient and would actually lower their guards.

Mugen awoke the next day, refreshed and ready to begin his new challange. He got dressed quickly, almost running downstairs to get breakfast. His haste didn't pass his father's notice.

"You are certainly eager today. Looking forward to having Haruto over?"

Mugen ignored the question and just began eating his food, leaving his father to chuckle. He was certainly eager, but ti wasn't really for having Haruto over. Well, it was partially that. What Mugen was finding more interesting right now was how he was going to get Haruto away from his security guards. He'd woken up part-way through the night and kept himself awake thinking of scenarios where he could get Haruto away and hopefully make the other boy like him even more.

He left home shortly after, not even waiting for Iwata as he rushed down the streets and to the campus. He felt he needed to get there early today, to scope out the situation and hopefully come up with a plan of action. Haruto must have arrrived, he thought, as the body guards were already up in the tree-house. They seemed to be conversing about something, though Mugen was too far away to hear exactly what. He started walking incredibly slowly into the campus, taking as much time as he could to observe the two men who were meant to make sure that Haruto wasn't taken away by anyone, especially by people like him.

They both seemed quite muscular and lean, which was to be expected from their career choice. From their body language and facial expressions, they also seemed to be friends with one another.

Mugen sighed. He couldn't really see anything else about the men that could help him, such as a possible injury or weakness.

Well... i suppose they are body-guards. The wouldn't be much good if they couldn't protect themselves.

Mugen walked into the school-building, still thinking to himself. Maybe he should ask Haruto and see if he knew a possible way to get past them? No. If Haruto knew a way past them, he wouldn't have even bothered saying he was grounded in the first place. Then maybe one of his friends? Tsuna's words repeated in Mugen's head.

Be aware of Akira.

Akira, that was another question that Mugen needed to answer. What was his angle? When the fight had occured two days ago, Mugen hadn't been in the proper state to think about Akira's involvement. But now, it was starting to bother him. Did he like Haruto, in which case he would be an obstacle to overcome? Or simply a very protective friend? Either way, he would be an issue and Mugen knew it.

"I just hope he doesn't mess this up somehow." he mumbled to himself as he continued to roam the halls, moving to keep himself thinking before the first bell rang for homeroom.

Haruto knew Akira had been watching him. From when he entered the classroom up until lunch - which was now - and it made Haruto a little bit curious and a tad bit irritated. Which is weird because normal people would be crept out, not all the more curious. Sighing, he set down his chopsticks and lazily looked at the other guy. "Hey, what's the matter?"

Akira was roused from his thoughts and he blinked. "Uhh...well. Just thinking...are you sure of this?"

Haruto tilted his head slightly. He wondered why Akira had asked him that question. "Why?"

"I don't know...maybe...when your father finds out...he wouldn't ground you anymore but put you on house arrest or something."

It was logical. Haruto knew that too but he shrugged. Nevertheless, he'd want to go. He wanted to break free for once. He knew that he would disappoint his bodyguards but they'd understand if he'd just explain himself...right after everything. "I know," he said, "but I still want to go."

Akira never said a word but he frowned and sighed. Haruto went back to eating his katsudon.

Haruto spent the rest of the day formulating ways to get past his guards. He thought about climbing over the back wall but the fact that it was close to the guards' cabin made him drop that idea. Other than that, he thought that nothing more would work. He sighed.

When class was over, he waited in his homeroom with Akira. He actually didn't know where to wait, anyway. He figured Mugen would pick him up but he isn't really sure. He still waited nevertheless.
