Everything that he assumed was obvious was he prepared for. Maybe that was why he was so calm when the human seemed to get more uneasy for every second that passed. Maybe that was why he didn't give the other one an answer when he asked his questions. And maybe that was why he didn't react when he noticed the shaky breath the mortal drew.

After a couple of minutes they entered a different part of the town. A more dark part of it. The streets were filled with black bags and garbage and the buildings were old and shabby. But even so it looked like people actually lived here. He could feel the presence of humans. But also other creatures that maybe just not wanted to be noticed. He could also feel some weak stray souls here and there. But for the moment those small things wasn't something that he was interested in and neither was the dog it who continued walking over the pavement. Crossed between the black bags and seemed to without a second thought walked further in.

Soon they turned left and suddenly they were walking down stone stairs in an stale and very narrow alley. And after having turned left and right some more they finally reached a door. And the dog stopped right in front of it.

"Good boy" the demon said while vaguely grinning.

He took the final steps forward, placed his hand on the handle. But waited for some seconds.

"You can wait here if you want".

And then he opened. Only to immediately get a gun pressed against his forehead. Quickly he dodged to the right, grabbed the person's wrist and twisted it until the person started to scream of pain and was forced to release the weapon.

"Not a really polite way to welcome guests" He let go of the wrist and observed the other one with an amused glance in his eyes.

The human-a small woman with black long wavy hair-swore under her breath, staggered backwards and stared at him with widened eyes. And then she whispered the word, very quiet and filled with something that could be identified as hate.

"A demon".

The blonde one let out a light chuckle and then stepped inside only to settle down on the closest chair that he could find.

"That's right, and I need your help healer".

She laughed, very loudly and then crossed her arms over her chest with a smirk on her face.

"Why would I help a demon? And who are they?" She pointed at Benny and Jay, somewhat curious but still with a hostile feeling in everything she said and did.

Jay jumped back when he saw the gun. The golden eyes widened as he stared at the scene in front of him with disbelief. He wanted to jump in and do something, but... Guns. He really had no idea if he could even protect himself, so he wasn't even starting about others. When Masato freed himself, Jay let out a breath he didn't even realize was holding in. Benny also seemed somewhat relieved when the gun was not against the demon's head anymore.

The red head watched carefully as the two had a small chat, then tilted his head when the woman pointed at him. "A human and a dog, if you can't see." He mumbled out and took a few steps closer, so that he was now standing next to Masato. "So... You're like, a healer?" Jay asked while tilting his head to one side.

Masato couldn't resist to let out a soft chuckle when the human came with a pretty much arrogant answer. Something that made the healer to look slightly unpleasant. She hadn't been prepared for that response.

"Yeah, I'm a healer" The woman snarled back at Jay and the demon tried his best to hide the smile on his lips.

He cleared his troath, tried to get their attention and end this little conversation. And when the woman finally let her gaze rest on him he replied with a rather friendly look in his eyes. But sadly enough, he would need more than that to earn her 'help'. The blonde drew a sigh and then stood up. Carefully he began to unbutton the shirt to take it off and show the wound on the side of his body. Only to get a shocking surprise. It had been stitched together. So that was the reason why he had been in the hospital. The healer raised one of her eyebrows and then turned her back to both of them.

"It looks fine to me".

It could clearly be heard that she sounded a little contented. But too bad for her. He wasn't just a simple newborn and this wasn't okay at all. And he knew that she saw that.

"But it isn't fine, I'm pretty sure that I've been poisoned. And I think some kind of tracker has been set in there. And if you don't do anything against it maybe they'll come and visit you right here and now".

Rather quickly she turned around and took some steps closer to him while observing the stitched wound with her brown eyes. And then she suddenly grabbed his arm and dragged him over to the table in the middle of the room. She instructed him to lay down there and without a word he jumped up on the table and did as she had ordered him.

"Close the door Jay" He softly said to the human.

Jay didn't dare to do anything more as the woman inspected the demon's wound. He knew that the demon really didn't want to go to the hospital... He just hoped the other wouldn't be angry. The red head swallowed a bit nervously as he looked at the other two with his eyes widening the slightest bit. Tracker? Someone will come?... Are they the ones he'd mentioned before? Jay couldn't help but ask himself all of those questions.

The tall male followed the healer and the demon inside, closing the door as he was told to. "Can I help out in any way?" He asked while looking at the woman. If she told him he should just stay put and not do anything... Man, that would be more than boring. But that was what usually happened in everything he watched or read, so he really didn't have his hopes up too high.

While the healer prepared the things she would need for the whole thing the demon couldn't help but look back at the thing that started this. The tear of blood. An old powerful relic that the demons had found on earth a decade ago. And under many years they had studied it to later find out that it held more meaning than they had thought. The tear of blood was something that they could use to take over the human world. The world that both angels and demons looked over. And with the human world in their hands it would be easy to start a war against the angels. So it wasn't that strange that he had stolen it. Because he knew that if they started a war, then everything would fall apart and the balance would be ruined. It wasn't worth it. They were so stupid. For being so old they've should understood the outcome of it all. And yet they were unable to see it. But he could. He who was a simple youngster in their eyes. It was ridiculous. They were blinded by the desire after power.

A cold hand was placed on his chest and he lightly winced unprepared for the unexpected touch. Then she stretched out something to Jay.

"Hold this against his chest" She said with a calm voice.

The blonde rolled his gaze over to the other side where the male stood. Examined his face with his eyes as he noticed that in the exact moment that the little steel thing was placed on his chest again he could feel a burning pain flooding through his body. He let out a surprised gasp and immediately drilled down his nails in the wooden table that his body laid on. And then it all disappeard. He couldn't feel a thing. But he saw that she began to undo the stitches, and he saw that the steel thing was still placed on his chest. But he couldn't feel it. It was strange. And even so, somewhat scary. Unaware of it he had reached out to the male and grabbed a little bit of his shirt between his fingers. And he didn't know why but the earlier uneasiness that he had felt suddenly just went away.

Jay nodded as he took the weird metalic thing into his hands. For a few seconds he just stared at it, then gently pressed it against Masato's chest. The pain that he saw in the demon's eyes momentarely made his wil falter and he was about to move the steel piece away, but... The pain disappeared from Masato's eyes. It was as if it was just... Gone. The red head looked at the healer with a bit of worry in his eyes. "What is this thing?" He asked curiously as he continued to hold it against the other's chest.

Jay let out a slightly shaky breath when he noticed the woman beginning to undo the stitches. How could she do it so... Casually? Really, it seemed like it was something she was used to. No disgust in her face, no panick, just... Concentrarion. Jay was somewhat overwhelmed by the calmness that was radiating from the woman.

In the corner of his eyes he could see the thin thread and the silver needle in her hand. Healers had existed since a long time ago. But they had actually been found pretty recently. For eighty-five years ago the demons couldn't depend on anything else but their ability to fastly regenerate. But it wasn't always they could be saved. Just because they were demons it didn't mean they couldn't die. Often. More often than you could imagine, many demons died of wounds that didn't heal on that time. Now it was different though. But just because they had the healers, it didn't mean that they were friends or companions or anything like that. The healers had always been an independent and strong race. Even though they originated from the humans. They lived a little longer than a human, they were a little stronger than a human and of course had special healing abilities. A healthy healer could atleast become 200 hundred years old. Which were nothing when compared to a demon but under those 200 years, one had surely been through a lot.

"It's taking away his ability to feel anything" The woman simply answered when all the stitches was undone.

Carefully she took up a little bit of cloth, soaked it in the water that was in the little bowl in front of her and then began to clean the wound.

"It doesn't look good. Not good at all little demon. Do you know what kind of poison it is?".

He drew a deep sigh, looked on his right side where the woman stood and let some seconds pass. The blonde was pretty sure that they didn't use any normal poison on their weapons so near the chambers in the castle but he could always ask anyway.

"What colour is it?".

The woman looked down and frowned slightly.

"It's blue, light blue actually".

At first he didn't have a clue of what it was. Then it suddenly just came up in his head. Just like that. Aufurm Eutirm. Not a really wellknown poison but he was sure that he had heard it somewhere before. He just didn't know where he had heard it.

"It's Aufurm Eutirm. Do you recognize the name?".

Obviously he didn't have to say anymore because suddenly the woman had disappeard between the piles of books. Probably searching for it in one of her books.

Jay was absolutely confused by now. So the demon was poisoned? What did they call it? Aufurm... Eh, whatever, he wouldn't need it in his life anyway. The human sighed softly as he continued to hold the weird piecef metal to the demon's chest. His golden eyes trailed over the smaller body for the milionth time as the red head bit his lip once again. Really, he couldn't believe someone like this could be a demon. Sure, he saw the wings and horns, and even the weir pupils... But it was so hard to believe. Like it was all a dream.. And Jay was secretly hoping for it to end.

It took a while before the woman returned, with a small book in her right hand and a bottle in her other. Concentrated, she stared down in the book with her brown eyes. Completely engulfed in what she was reading. Then, very hastily and sudden she closed the book and let it drop to the floor before filling the bottle with water and once again, she disappeard behind the messy piles of things that were scattered on the floor and piled up in tall mountains that almost reached the ceiling. Some minutes passed and the water in the bottle had changed into a light green colour. And in the green water he could distinguish a small jewel shard that gleamed and sparkled. So she had decided that the best way was to suck the poison out? Well, she was the one who knew most of them about things like this so he assumed that he didn't have any choice but to let her do her job.

Slowly she started to pour the green water in the bowl and thereafter the jewel shard fell into the bowl. Before she took it up she put on gloves on her hands then she brought the jewel shard so close to the wound as she could. Slowly the light blue poison began to be absorbed by the shard. The whole thing only took some seconds and in the corner of his eyes he could see how the healer closely examined the now light blue shard.

"How strange, it went faster than I expected it to. Anyway, you were a lucky one. This poison can make your body numb or even so, kill you. But it seemed like your body wasn't so affected by it".

He didn't say anything to answer her curiosity, instead he simply pushed away the metal rod from his chest. And directly his ability to feel came back. With a shaky breath he sat up on the table and then got off it to grab his shirt that hanged on an chair. Completely unfased by it all. And as he began to put his shirt on (which was more difficult than it had been to take it off), his wound slowly started to heal.

"I don't really get it. You were supposed to be dead or atleast numb by now with that poison in your body" the woman stared at him but he didn't turn around to meet her eyes.

The last thing he needed was the woman and her question like words. It was clearly that she wanted to now. Otherwise she wouldn't have said anything.

"I mean, this is actually a really strong and rare poison. I don't think you can just go out and take a random plant to make this. Which makes me wonder how you got in contact with this".

The woman continued to talk and he got more and more annoyed for every second that passed. The shirt didn't want to cooperate and the questions got more and more. With a irritated sigh he hastly turned around to the male and held out an edge of his shirt to him.

"Do this you so that we can get out of here".

Jay's golden eyes showed a hint of worry as the demon pushed away the steel piece from his chest. The tall male lightly bit his lip as while watching Masato sitting up with a shaky breath. Slowly, the red head put the metal thing away, sighing softly to himself. His eybrows raised as he listened to the onversation between the blond and the healer. Rare poison? Was that why he so suddenly appeared on the street right in front of Jay?

The younger male chewed on his lip a bit nervously before realizing that the other asked him to help him with the shirt. Jay seemed to be lost in his thoughts before crouching down in front of the other and buttoning up the buttons. His fingers worked a bit slowly as he couldn't really keep his mind on one thing at the moment. It was still a lot to take in for him, especially since he was just a simple human.

Benny let out a small whimper as he nudged his head against his master's legs and looked up, its tongue showing as the dog had its mouth opened. With a soft smile, the red head leaned down and gently patted its head before letting out a soft hum. "So, what are we-... No, what am I supposed to do now?" He asked while turning back to the demon. Was he supposed to act as if nothing happened?

Masato let his gaze only be swept over the other one's fiery red pileum when he crouched down and slowly began to buttoning up the buttons. Somehow he seemed a little..absent-minded? Maybe it was too much for him to take in. But it wasn't like he was forced to listen to their conversation or what he said about the other world. That was Jay's own choice if he wanted to know it or not. And from his own experience, a human was a very curious creature. Wether they admitted it or not they were all the same. Things that came in the way.

Impatiently, he glanced down on the steady hands that worked their way up. And he suddenly found himself wondering what the male was thinking at this moment. But instead of breaking himself into his mind to read his thought he simply shaked his head. Like he was saying it was wrong. Humans too had things that were private. And that would be their thoughts. He had no permission to look at them. Especially not for something so trivial like this time. The blonde quietly sighed and drew his left hand through his light honey coloured hair while he somewhat ashamed for the thing he was going to do, looked away.

When the human was finished he gently patted the dogs head before speaking. What he was supposed to do? That was a really good question. His plans had been to erase his memories but he couldn't do it here. And he didn't know why but he didn't want to do it anywhere else either. Maybe it was because the human himself wanted to remember it. Or it based on something entirely different.

"You choose yourself" He turned away, he didn't want to see those orange warm eyes that the other male possesed.

Lightly he shrugged his shoulders, let his hands sink down in his pockets as he began moving to the door.

"I can either erase everything of this from your memory or you can let it be. I'll disappear anyway so it doesn't really matter".

It felt nedlessly hard to say the words but they came out in the end.

Jay raised his eyebrows and sighed softly before turning to walk out. "I'll just leave them... You're disappearing, so you don't need me anymore, right? I at least want to keep this much to remember something." The red head said quietly, a small hint of pain in his voice. "If you plan on disappearing, just do it then... No matter what I say, you'll leave anyway." The red head said a bit sadly as he turned back to the demon and smiled. "I just hope I can see you sometime again."

Really, Masato managed to become something that Jay was used to in such short time. How come so little time was needed to grow close to someone you barely knew? All that the red head knew was the other's name and what he was. He didn't know why was he here, on Earth - the words that Masato was doing the human race 'a favor' didn't really convince the man - he didn't know how old the other was, why was he wounded and so on...

There was so much more he wanted to know, but that was probably never going to happen. This was good-bye... Though a small part of him still hoped that it wasn't the end. He was still hoping for some kind of a miracle to happen.

A soft sigh and then that familiar voice. It hadn't been such a long time since they met but he felt strangely used to the human. Which didn't make anything better when Jay once again told him he wanted to keep his memories about this. Maybe he himself had thought that it would be easier to move on if the other one didn't remember anything? And with move on he didn't mean it in any other way than move on as in 'stop worrying that they would get something out of him'. After all he knew what he was. He knew his name. And he knew how he looked. Atleast he was pretty sure it was in that way everything was displayed before his eyes. That however, didn't stop him from lightly embrace his underlip with his front teeth.

"Yeah" he simply answered the other one on his first sentence.

The blonde one noticed the small sign of pain that hid behind the other one's words. But didn't care to give the fact more attention. Somewhat uncomfortable with the situationen, he started to unnoticeable rove with his gaze. But that didn't make the smile on Jay's lips go away. Something like seeing him again wasn't that likely to happen. And Masato had a feeling that the human knew that when he said it. Even so it didn't stop him. The demon forced himself to weakly smile back and after having let some short seconds pass he spoke.

"Maybe I'll come and visit you one day" he made a paus and looked down at Benny who was beside the human "and you too".

"Demons has an tendency to return to places or people they find interesting. Keep looking and maybe we'll meet..someday".

His heart felt heavy, but he couldn't figure out the reason why. It would probably stop soon anyway so he ignored it. And slowly he began to disintegrate as he once again for the last time met Jay's warm, kind orange coloured eyes.

"Goodbye then..".

Jay's breathing hitched slightly and he nodded faintly as the demon talked. Why was he growing so close to a demon? Out of everything he could've chosen... The red head bit his lip and turned around as the words of a soft 'good-bye' reached his ears. The red head only bit his lip harder and walked out, into the streets. The tall male kept Benny's leash in one hand as he lightly rubbed his neck and sighed softly. It was kind of hard to imagine his life without Masato in it...

Once the man got home, he let Benny go, yet the dog stayed still, clearly ready to attack someone... Cautiously, the red head stepped inside, yet, before he could even see what was happening, something hit him in the head. Hard. Hard enough for him to pass out, that is. Little did he know - the ones that attacked him were the demons who were chasing after Masato. They probably thought that Jay was like some shortcut to him.

When Jay finally woke up, the first thing he noticed was the fact that he was sitting on a chair with his legs and hands tied up. The tall male let out a soft groan and lightly tugged at the ropes, yet failed to do anything. Slowly, his honey-colored eyes opened and he realized that whatever this was, it definitely wasn't good. After all, what good could possibly happen in a dark, cold underground chamber who-knows-where?

A heavy feeling rested on his shoulders and this feeling of guilt drowned over him. Even though he hadn't done anything bad. He had done what was best for the human. What was best for the humanity's survival to be more accurate. Masato knew that if he had stayed there longer then they would've probably already found him by this time. Or maybe they had. But then the one they would target wouldn't be him. No, it would be Jay. They were probably already aware of that he and the human had spent some time together. And they would also go straight to the conclusion that the human was maybe some kind of weak spot or something they could lure him with. Suddenly he found himself wondering if he should turn back. But what good would that do? He would only disturb the peace in his life. As he had done all the time they had been together. But even so, the thought of Jay being there. Unprotected and unable to defend himself if they would come made his stomach turn upside down. This was ridiculous. When did he start to care about his safety? When did he get so attached to the human that he had began to worry about him coming in their hands? He sighed and shaked his head there he stood in the alley, on his way up the stone steps that he had encountered before on his way to the healer. In the end his worry won him over and he decided to leave one last thing in the human's hands that would protect him from getting into harm's way. A necklace that he had gotten from his mother. One of the few things that he had left of her and that reminded him that she had been in an part of his life.

It didn't take him long to navigate to the other one's apartment. It was imprinted in his memory like many other things. Like a normal person he walked up the stairs but when he finally stood there in front of the door he noticed something. He couldn't feel Jay's energy. Only Benny. And if the little part of Jay that he had got to known these last days were correct then he would never leave his dog home, alone. One thing more that catched his attention were the fact that the dog was barking. Loudly as he called for help. Without a second thought he opened the door rushed in. Empty. Benny was the only present living being in this apartment. *Don't tell me...*. That was the first thing he thought when he searched through Jay's home in the hunt after some kind of clues. And after a long while he found a little note sitting on the doors to the closet. -We got him, if you want to rescue him then go through the portal-. He swallowed the lump of anger that had appeared in his troath then he opened the closet. And indeed as he had suspected a purple portal stone could be find on the shelf in the closet. He grabbed it and took it down and just stared at it for a couple of seconds. Was he really gonna do this? Well, it was kinda his fault that Jay had gotten into this from the beginning so it was his responsibility to ensure that he didn't get hurt. But it was also Jay's own fault for being so overly kind and taking a complete stranger into his home. But that didn't stop the demon from activating the portal stone and then step into the world that was on the other side of the purple swirl.

Suddenly he found himself standing outside a house. But not just some random house. No, it was his house. His home for the first 50 years of his life. With long and determined steps he took himself to the wide open door. And he knew that they were waiting for him since they didn't attemp to hide their energy.

"Where is he?" He asked very with a very cold and hateful tone on his voice when he finally took the step over the threshold.

A deep, amused laughter answered him. And the blonde's face suddenly became very blank. That voice didn't belong to anyone else but someone he had knewn for a long time. And his hands began to tremble when he realised it.

"Kanato".

It was nothing more than an weak whisper that made the dark blue haired man that appeared in front of him smile. But it wasn't a benevolently smile, no it was more rather like a grin. A grin, hungry for revenge. He drew a quivering breath and stumbled backwards. But the door was closed and tightly locked.

"What do you want?" He threateningly hissed at Kanato that sunk down on a chair beside the stairs that led to the upper floor.

"You know, what everyone wants. Power...and of course revenge".

Masato moved along the wall while he continued to stare on the other one. He could feel Jay's energy from here. But it was so strange. Outside he had felt more presence than one. But the only one now, that was Kanato, himself and Jay. Maybe he had been tricked? Or did Kanato perhaps work with 'them'. No, that was impossible. Not after everything that they had done against him.

"The usual then?" Masato said while still observing the man, very carefully and with a glance of hate in the different coloured eyes.

Kanato softly chuckled and drew his right hand through his hair. His purple eyes seemed to glow even though it wasn't even dark inside the house.

"Let him go" The blonde started.

And even though he wanted to sound so steady as possible on his voice it was shaky. Kanato lifted himself up from his sitting position and suddenly he wasn't more than just a few metres away from himself. Almost automatically his body reacted to this by making the horns and the tail appear.

"You can take him this time brother, but remember I'll keep an eye on you. And when it's most unlikely I'll destroy you".

He clenched his teeth, then he got the answer sent to his mind. The basement. Masato didn't even look back when he passed the older one to continue his journey down.

"Jay!".

Jay couldn't see. He couldn't breathe. He felt as if he was being suffocated. His glasses were tossed on the ground next to his feet, the glass shatered. The red head's breathing was weak, blood was flowing out of various wounds as he tried to keep himself awake... But why was he doing it? Masato was gone, no one else would ever realize he could be kept captive...

The golden-eyed male screamed out in pain when he felt the same knife slowly - painfully slowly - cutting into his upper left arm. Jay's eyes were open as he bit his lip hard enough to make it bleed, his hands clenching into fists in an attempt... Of doing something, but what? He didn't know himself. He hadn't given up completely. Not yet... But there really wasn't so much left.

The reason for his injuries was very simple - the demon who was in charge of making sure he didn't run away by any chance got bored. So, he found the perfect way of passing time, his boss never told him not to hurt Jay... Just to keep him alive, after all. Who cared if there were a few broken bones or some blood spilled? He was just a human, anyway. None of the demons would've cared if he was hurt here or there a bit.

Jay took in a sharp breath as the knife was pulled out just as slowly as before. The demon had a huge smirk on his face while observing the red head. "You humans are weak..." He hissed out and snickered before moving the knife to one of the golden eyes. Immediately, fear showed in them. No... No! He didn't want to be blind! A pained scream tore the human's throat as the knife slid from the corner of his eye to his jawline. Right now he looked as if a truck had driven over him.

And then suddenly, the knife wasn't there anymore. Neither was the demon. Jay took in sharp breaths, feeling pain in his chest each time he did - at least two ribs were broken for sure. He opened his eyes to see what happened, but his vision was blurry both from the blood and because he didn't have his glasses on. The red head lightly tugged at the ropes that were tying his wrists to the chair and hissed in pain. Dammit, how many bones did that demon break?!?

Jay thought he heard his name. Did he really? He was half-asleep, after all... Maybe he was imagining, especially because the voice sounded like Masato's... And he was gone.

His heart sunk to the bottom of his body when he saw it. The body, drenched in blood and decorated by cuts. Something that made his stomach turn upside down in pure anger. He could feel how it pulsated through his veins. Like poison. And with a shaky breath he quickly teleported to the human's side, gently embracing the pale cheeks with his hands.

"I'm here now" He softly whispered as he freed the other one from the chains.

Masato knew that it this wasn't Kanato's work. But for letting something like this happen. It was unforgivable. Demons are strictly prohibited to take innocent humans to the underworld. And with innocent humans they meant those who hadn't done anything to deserve to be there. This law mostly existed because of the angels. If they could take whoever they wanted to hell then it would've been war between the angels and the demons for a long time ago.

The blonde clenched his teeth when he let his different coloured eyes examine Jay's body in an attempt to not let his feelings rule his actions. And then he swept his arms around the seemingly older one and buried his own face in the fiery red hair.

"I'll get you out of here. I promise".

Jay winced in pain when he felt the hands on his cheeks. The cut that went from his eye to his jawline was stinging so much... The red head's breathing hitched as he was freed from the chains. But what was the point of it? He couldn't move... He didn't want to move. The tall male felt a single tear rolling down his uninjured cheek as he tried breathing, yet it became more and more shallow each second.

"Ma... Sato...?" He managed to whisper out when he felt something buried in his hair. A weak smile appeared on the human's face as he closed his eyes and exhaled slowly. So he was here... The one he'd saved was now saving him... It was kind of funny when you actually thought about it. The golden eyed male weakly raised one hand and gently put it on the demon's shoulder. "...Can you take me home?.." He asked slowly, unable to talk fast nor loudly. He was weak...

His name, so softly but weakly spoken. He had never heard anyone say it in that way. Even though it was just a combination of letters it somehow felt so emotionally. Slowly his fingers grabbed the other one's clothes. Still trying to surpress his feelings. Masato could clearly feel the human's heartbeats against his own body. They were slow, but terrified and filled with pain. That was also Jay's voice and moves. He could feel the light weigh of the other one's hand who was placed on his shoulder and he couldn't make himself do anything else but giving him a slight nod to answer on his request. That was the least he could do for him. Take him home where he belonged.

The blonde let his left hand embrace the purple portal stone, holding it up in front of him and just after a couple of seconds it started to glow and then the familiar swirl appeared. He heaved himself up from the floor still holding the taller one in an determined grip when he thereafter staggered forward. In in the portal and then they suddenly were in Jay's apartment. Quietly he dragged the other one to the bed with the dog closely behind him. Carefully he let down the body on the soft bed and then let his gaze be swept over him. What was he supposed to do now? The healer was far too far away and he didn't want to leave him again. Not now when he was aware of the fact that the human had already been tangled in in his business. Then he remembered. The bottle with the pink liquid that he had gotten from his mother. A drink that could heal. Quickly he stretched out his hand and imagined the bottle's form and the liquid. And suddenly he stood there, holding it with his hand. The boy sat down beside the human, then took off the cork. He didn't know if it would work. And he didn't know if it was completely safe for the other one to drink it. But he couldn't stand seeing the human in this condition. Not when he knew that this was his fault.

The demon leaned forward and took a small sip from the pink liquid and then pressed his lips against Jay's. They were warm and soft and he wanted it to stay like this forever, but even so he parted the other one's lips to let the liquid be passed over. In in his mouth and then down his troath. And after he had seen that the human had swallowed it he distanced himself from him. And waited. Waited for something to happen.

Jay groaned out in pain as he was dragged towards the bed. It felt like his body was on fire... The red head's eyes rolled up and he closed them, trying to focus on anything else but the pain that he was feeling. One of his legs was bent out weirdly - it was clearly broken. It hurt... Everything hurt so much...

Then it slowly began disappearing and the human realized he could feel the demon's lips on his own... He didn't even think about pushing the other away. It felt too good to do so... The golden-eyed male was kind of dissatisfied when he couldn't feel the soft lips on his own. Instead, a horrible taste filled his mouth, but Jay forced himself to swallow it. This was probably medicine... If it was from Masato, it had to be good, at least the human hoped so.

For a while nothing happened, but then the golden eyes shot open and Jay screamed out in pain once again. The pain increased. He breathed heavily, searching for something - anything to grip on... And the first thing he'd found was the demon's hand. The red head tightly gripped onto it as his back arched up in agony. The human felt like not only his wounds, but all his insides were burning as well. Was this helping him or just making it worse? He couldn't tell himself.

A shrill painful scream that cut through the air like a knife and a pair of golden coloured eyes. Widened to max. And the only thing his face displayed was pure pain. Masato slightly parted his lips of shock. Then he closed his mouth. Panicking wouldn't help anything. But he couldn't avoid feeling uneasy since the other one seemed to be suffering. Maybe it was just a part of the healing? Maybe this whole reaction was normal. He drew a deep breath, felt how his hand was hardly squeezed by Jay but he didn't say a word. And not even one feeling was seen in his eyes or on his face expression when he quietly observed the human, twisting in agony. He couldn't do anything else but to expect that it all would end. And it did. After a horrifying minute the human finally sunk down on the bed. Heavily breathing. His body was covered in sweat and the blonde could clearly hear his fast heartbeats.

"God.." Masato mumbled and threw a hasty glance over Jay's face.

At first it had seemed like it did more bad than good but why would his mother give him a fake drink? That was the only thought that had prevented him from having sucked out the liquid from the other one. And now he was glad that he hadn't done that. Because now he wasn't hurt anymore. But even so. Would he also react this way if he himself took a sip from it? Masato swung the bottle back and forth, making the pink liquid ripple.

The demon stood up from his sitting position, placed the bottle on the bedside table and walked out in the kitchen. He took a glas, filled it with water and then returned to the human. With a gentle glimpse in his eyes he stretched the water filled glas toward Jay.

"Drink it".

Jay let out a weak chuckle when he heard what the demon said. It was ironic... A demon mentioning God... Kind of funny when you thought about it. The red head breathed out heavily and kept his eyes closed, unable to move any more... Well, more like he didn't want to. The pain that he was feeling just a minute ago... It seemed like it was just waiting for a chance to return again. The red head slowly let go off the demon's hand when he felt the other trying to stand up. He understood that the demon walked out, but... Was he coming back? The thought of Masato leaving and really not coming back this time... Jay wasn't sure he could take it.

The red head slowly opened his eyes as he stared at the ceiling, trying to catch his breath. The demon's voice caught his attention and he weakly turned his head to him before letting out a soft smile. "Can you help me sit up first?.." He asked while trying to lift himself up and failing. It felt like all strength left him... But the pain seemed to be gone. Did his wounds really heal or did the medicine just make him numb? This he couldn't say for sure.

It was a faint smile and seven softly spoken words that the human replied him with when he stretched out the glas. From what he saw the wounds was healed but what did he know? There was surely some damaged areas inside of the body too. The question was: Had the drink healed them too? The blonde placed the glas on the bedside table where the bottle already stood and then he gently grabbed Jay's hand, dragging him slowly up in an sitting position without even a slightest effort.

"How do you feel?" He asked when he once again let his hand embrace the glas.

Thoroughly he let his different coloured eyes examine the other one for the third time. What if the drink didn't work? What if it only surpressed the pain? Would Jay go back to his earlier state then? But why wouldn't it work? Even though it was hard to believe, humans and demons were pretty alike each other body wise. So it should work. Then he let his thoughts flow in an another direction.

Kanato. How in the whole world had he managed to break out of the hell prison? Was he working together with 'them'? How long would it take for him to regain all his powers? It was surely just a matter of time before he would come to take him. Nothing had changed with his energy since that day. That day when he had killed their mother. Or that was at least how Kanato saw it. He had always been hated by Kanato.

Ever since he was born he had been hated by everyone. Everyone besides his mother. And the only person who had loved him, he had killed. He had killed her by existing.

With a shaky, quiet breath he returned to reality. Escaped from the pictures showing her bloody body and her lifeless eyes. His bright emerald and ocean blue eyes smarted and an unoticable lonely tear traveled down his cheek as he calmed his heart. He had seen it so many times, but it still evoked same painful feeling that he couldn't explain.

A soft groan left the red head's mouth as he was dragged up into a sitting position. His chest ached and a few coughs left his body as he covered his mouth up with his hand and let out a shaky sigh as he tried to lean back against the pillows comfortably. Slowly, he reached out and took the glass with a small, weak smile on his face, drinking down the clear liquid in it. "Mmh? I... I think I'm good. I don't feel pain anymore..." But I can still feel the demon breaking my bones. "I think I'll be alright, thanks." I don't want you to leave again. Stay here and let's forget about everything that happened.

The red head sighed and closed his eyes for a few moments, the turned to Masato, wanting to ask if he was going to leave... But a tear caught his attention instead. His golden eyes widened slightly and he bit his lip before quickly setting the glass aside and pulling the demon closer, hugging him gently. He didn't care that his body ached like hell... Why was Masato crying? Jay gently rubbed the other's back as he closed his eyes, holding the small body close to himself. "What's wrong?"

He himself hadn't noticed the lonely tear that had escaped until he slowly let his fingers wander over his cheek. A small thin line of moisture leapt from his eyes and down. The feeling was so familiar and yet so foreign. Was he going to cry now? In front of the human? He clenched his teeth, tried to wipe all evidence. But suddenly a couple of strong arms embraced him and he was pressed against something incredibly warm. It had been so long ago someone had held him like this. The last one had been her. That woman and her sleek arms that had gently surrounded his body in an benevolent hug.

His breaths were quivering and even though he had restrained his heartbeats just a second ago they once again got out of control. And he was drowned in his own feelings. The seemingly younger one clung to the human. Bringing himself closer and then let his forehead rest on the other male's shoulder. Then a short moment later he started crying. Loudly like a kid. The tears streamed down his cheeks uncontrollably at the same time as he tried to surpress it all. But he couldn't. Her golden coloured hair that fell in beautiful curls. Her kind purple eyes that always were filled with love and her soft voice that called out his name. "Masato". He couldn't help but continue to cry when he saw this. When he once again heard her voice in his head. For so many years he had kept these memories locked away. Because he was weak. He hadn't the strength to let these memories flow through his mind. Because he didn't want to be reminded of that he had been the cause of her death.

It took a while for the loudly cry to peter out in muffled sobs but he still didn't let go of the human. What would he do if Jay saw him. A crying demon? That was just outright pathetic. He was pathetic. Letting himself be swept away by the human's warmth and kindness like this. And he was supposed to be a demon? Someone who took human souls and sent them to hell to rot? It didn't make any sense. Why was he the only one that was different from everyone else? It was unfair. So incredibly unfair. And he who cried in the embrace of a human called himself demon?

Suddenly it became quiet. After he had stopped sobbing, a long silence had replaced it. And he found himself wanting to stay like this a little longer. And when a little longer had passed, he was already sound asleep in the human's arms.
