Bio: Ritsuya had know his best friend since they were in diapers and had been thick as thieves ever since, even though Ritsuya was the shy type he always seem to have a lot of attention that he didn't want. The only attention that ever mattered though was that of his best friend, though sadly he noticed he barely got that attention much in high school as his friend had grown into the handsome kind of guy that everyone wanted to date.

Sitting on the roof Ritsuya looked down at the sports team practicing their games after school as he was waiting for his best friend to show up. He checked his watch seeing it was getting late but he promised him that he'd wait for him. Brushing some dark locks from his eyes Ritsu sighed as he leaned against the fence wondering what he was doing with his life. He had love letters in his locker almost every day but he always rejected them as he couldn't help but to hope for the person he was interested in to give him a chance.

 

"What do they have that I don't have? Why won't he look at me like that? Are we just too close?" He whispered to himself as he watched one of the soccer players hit a goal and see the team cheering. Shaking his head Ritsuya began to pace again to try and pass the time and keep himself entertained awaiting for the male's arrival.

Iza had held his friend to his heart for years. The red head was willing to give anything up for the smaller male. He never pictured himself anywhere else in life, but with the other by his side. A friendship he was sure would last forever. At least that it what he would try to keep. Forever and ever!

 

Iza plunged to the ground once more before jumping to his feet and grabbing at his bookbag. The timing was not on the teen's side today. Finally he had gotten done with the exercise that his gym teacher had force him to do, even after participating in ever activity when others didn't. Guess being a volunteer didn't help the fact that he had been fifteen minutes late for class. Rushing through the halls, the rooftop being his main priority, Iza halted to catch his breath when the stairway came into view. Walking up the flight of stairs, grabbing a hold of his friend's waist after dashing through the door, the older teen smiled a silly face-splitting smile.

 

"Sorry I'm late." Averting his attention to the soccer team as he heard more cheers. He had so badly wanted to join the team, but refused to after learning he wouldn't have much time for his best friend any longer. "So, should we leave for a drink?" Yet another smile breaking through.

As Ritsuya continued to pace he didn't even notice when the door had opened and almost leaped out of his skin when he heard Iza's voice right in his ear. Blushing deeply he glanced at the male as he blushed deeply at being so close to him but then huffed turning his head away. "Hmp! Was you with your lover again?" He mumbled but then slowly smiled seeing that silly looking smile as Ritsu simply couldn't be mad at him forever as he leaned into the warm embrace only to break out of his thoughts and move from the male. "Drinks? Well I suppose you can make it up to me with treating for for drinks and snacks Iza-kun."

 

Grabbing his own bag he began to walk with his friend to one of their favorite places to hang out after school as he sat down at the table looking over the menu softly humming. "So how is you and what's his face? I didn't see you with your lover today, any reason why?" He curiously asked his best friend as he glanced at him over the edge of the menu.

The red head glanced up from the menu and shrugged slightly to the other across the table. Iza hadn't seen his boyfriend today either, and he was getting a little worried since the teen didn't return his calls. "Um, the last time I remembered was when he told me he wasn't feeling so well. Comes to think that he was sick the other day we went out for dinner, but that was four days ago. I....I hadn't seen him at school today....have you?" Strangely darken red eyes glancing from the menu to his friend and back.

 

Small steps caught his attention as a waiter stood at the table to take their order. "Have you two figured what you want on the menu?" The casual talking was another reason that Iza loved coming to this place. The people didn't act like trained robots under surveillance all day; albeit it could be bad sometimes when a waiter or waitress was having an off day.

 

Iza nodded and began to hand the man the menu. "I would like to have spinach soup. I think I'm catching a cold. Oh, and please...with extra cheese." Giving a small smile for a thanks.

Looking to his friend the male lightly shrugged and licked his lips, "Well I did see him with the class president earlier, they were alone and seemed to be in deep conversation in the conference room around lunch time." The teen pondered lightly as he looked to the waiter and hummed for a moment, "I'll have a iced chai tea latte and a chocolate chocolate chip muffin with a slice of strawberry cake." He happily chirped then looked worried at Iza as he leaned over gently placing his hand against the other male's forehead. "I told you to wear a jacket more often, it's about to be winter Iza-kun!" He softly scolded as he shook his head thinking that maybe he should just knit him a sweater and maybe his best friend would be tempted enough to wear it.

 

"Hey Iza-kun...why are you going out with that guy? Just curious tis all..." The boy softly asked his best friend as he played with the corner of his cloth napkin while they waited for their order to be filled.

The older student glanced up, giving a small genuine smile to his friend. "He...he makes me feel like I'm worth something ya'know. Like...I'm actually a man?" A laugh breaking through after the sentence. "That's cheesy and all but it's true." Pressing his elbow to the table as he laid his chin upon his arms. "Oh, and don't worry about me I'm fine. Well except for the part that my boyfriend was at school today, yet I didn't even see him." A frown present as he drew unconsciously on the table with his finger.

 

Red orbs met his friends as he gave yet another smile, head tilting to the side as the shaggy red locks moved along, seeming to defy gravity. "Why is it that you don't have a boyfriend? I already know that you play for the same team. You're as feminine as they get." Laughing as he held up a finger, gesturing for the other to give him a minute to finish. "Plus, I even have witness guys shove love letters into your locker....so you can't say you don't get any." A brow raised as he waited for an answer, now lowering his finger.

"Do you think he's cheating?" He half joked as he blushed seeing those red orbs staring at his own soft purple ones as he wanted so bad to look away but couldn't. Hearing the question had caught Ritsuya off guard as he was about to protest but instantly held his tongue as those smooth fingers touched his pink lips. True Ritsuya knew he had admirers but none of them were Iza, and once he was allowed to talk the teen continued to play with the corner of his napkin. "W-Well...its just...I already have someone I have liked for a really really long time but...he doesn't see me like that. He's such an oblivious idiot but I can't help but feel so in love with him, he's really sweet, athletic, and a total goofball but he just doesn't seem to notice my feelings for him and I don't want to ruin anything."

 

Looking at the table Ritsuya had wanted to tell Iza his feelings on so many occasions but he could never have the guts to do so. He even wrote Iza at least a hundred love letters and poems but he would always lose his nerve when he got to his locker the next day and instead tear them up. "I want to tell him how I feel but he's dating someone right now so there would be no point in doing that."

Iza stared to his friend with sorrow. So it seemed that the dark haired teen had his heart set out for one person and one person only. That was sweet, but it would only waste away Ritsuya's life waiting for that special someone. Reaching over to push the hair out of the other's face, the red head's expression venturing on confusion for a moment. "It's sweet that you're waiting for that special someone, but....you should move on just for the moment. If so, that person will become less important to you and you'll have love for someone else. I mean...if I wasn't y'know...your friend and all I would be lucky to date you- that's if I wanted to. Not that I will since you aren't my type- no, I mean you are my type just...." Sighing as he made a complete fool of himself.

 

"What I'm trying to say is that anyone would be lucky to have you, and if he can't see that then he really is an idiot." Giving a smile to the other, although it couldn't hide the distraught he was having. Especially over the saying that his lover could be cheating on him.

As those gentle fingers brushed his hair from his eyes Ritsuya simply smiled to his best friend as he was kind of relieved he didn't catch on about who he was talking to and at the same time felt a little disappointed, it was bittersweet. Sighing the teen shook his head lightly as he gently placed his hand in Iza's just holding it against his face, "I know Iza-kun but I just can't...I've loved him for so long...for years that no one else can hold a candle to him. Maybe some day I'll confess my true feelings but till then just seeing him happy with someone is enough." He knew his best friend was trying to help and had a big heart but he was still so oblivious to what was sitting right in front of him. Hearing the male saying he would date him his cheeks flushed a dark tint of red as he laughed at how silly Iza was talking, it was too cute. "Hehehehe oh Iza-kun you're so silly sometimes, you always make me laugh! If we did date I'm sure I'd be the happiest person in the world...I do love guys with a nice tan and a muscular body just like yours." Leaning over the table Ritsuya softly kissed his best friend's forehead as he gently smiled sitting back down, "Thanks Iza-kun..."

 

Smiling gently Ritsuya had to turn away to try and hide his smile and blush at being able to give the other a little kiss and in public no less. "Don't tell your boyfriend I kissed you, I'm sure he'd have a cow." The teen laughed as he wondered where their waiter had gone as he closed his eyes leaning his head back just to relax himself.

Iza couldn't help the small genuine smile that escape from him. He was glad that he had succeeded in cheering his friend up. The red head grabbed at the other's hand and held it lightly between his own and shook his head at the mention of his boyfriend. "Uh, yeah I won't. Can...we please not talk about him at the moment. I came here to enjoy myself with my best friend....not to worry whether or not my love is cheating on me." A sad expression clouding his expression now. If that was truly happening the muscular teen didn't know how he would react.

 

On a better note, Iza smiled after remembering what his friend had said. "Oh, so you like muscular guys huh? Like me...wow. How about this guy you like...is he as muscular as I am. I get it...you like to be manhandled since you're so small.....right?" Teasing his friend with a raise of his brow.

Nodding Ritsuya agreed with the other as it was his time to spend with Iza and his alone, he want all of the red head's attention on him. Smiling softly he then blushed and quickly shook his head at the accusation, "T-That's not true! I just find h-his muscle mass to be sexy...he had the exact same mass and body type as you." He bit his bottom lip as he imagined Iza playing a little rough with him as he had to quickly push those thoughts from his mind as fast as they had appeared. The last thing he wanted was for Iza to see him having a boner in public and that boner being the cause of the man sitting right across from him.

 

"A-and what about you!? You said I was your type so you like cute small guys like me? Or is it my feminine looks you like?" It was Ritsuya's turn to smirk as he softly teased the other boy as he poked at Iza's cheek giggling and gently tugged on it as he made a kiss face. "Does widdle Iza-kun had a widdle crushie wushie on me?" He teased the male evne more before letting him go and laughed at the look on the boy's face, it was priceless. "Just kidding!"

The older teen blushed as he averted his eyes before standing to get closer to his best friend. "Don't you...ok, it's true. I do love small, cute, feminine guys as you. That's why I have an attraction for my boyfriend. So what...is that a sin?" Folding his arms with a fake mad expression, giving a snarl to the other. The red head gave a raise of his brow to the smaller male.

 

The waiter came back, giving a small smile and apologizing to the other. I apologize sirs. I..have your meals with your drinks. I really do apologize." Staring to the smaller male with a small wink to Ritsuya. Iza gave a small nudge to his friend before giving a small nod. The waiter soon left, giving the other their space once more.

Watching Iza the young boy just couldn't take him seriously when he was fake mad, it was simply adorable as he was trying not to laugh and lightly pouted at Iza as he was about to tell the male to cut it out but then jumped as the waiter had returned with their order. Looking at the male Ritsuya's cheeks lightly flushed seeing the attention he was giving him as he couldn't believe the guy would flirt with him right in the open. As soon as he left the teen had felt the nudge and gazed over at his best friend with a shy look on his face, "W-What? It's not what you think he was just being polite." The boy quickly dismissed the behavior as he reached for the tea sipping on the straw enjoying the sweet taste.

 

Ritsuya couldn't deny that he was indeed flattered by the gesture but he made it clear to himself that if it wasn't Iza it was no one at all. Taking a soft nibble of his muffin he broke off another piece and offered it to his friend. "I dunno if I even want to try dating someone else, all I can think about is that one guy and when I try to think of someone else it just doesn't feel right..."

At that statement the red head scoffed, taking a drink of water. Setting the glass down after a swallow or two, the older teen frowned lightly. "Ah, I bet this guy isn't all that great. He couldn't be if he doesn't notice you. Don't you think so?" Once again having a small frown present on his face. Ritsuya needed to move on already. It sort of angered the red head to see his friend unhappy with no lover because of this certain person. Iza doubted that the male could be that special. People had many crushes right? So why was his friends only set on this one person?

 

"Tell me how this guy looks. Is he even that charming?" Knowing that he could possible narrow it down to see who his friend liked if he knew how the other looked. It was surely something he wanted to know. Maybe he could even go as far as helping his friend get the student. It couldn't be too hard right?

"W-Well it's not that he doesn't notice me it's just he doesn't seem all that interested in being more than friends with me..." He lightly smiled as he continued to eat his sweets as he didn't want to tell Iza too much information otherwise the male would eventually connect the dots and see who it really was. "Well you know him pretty well...but that's all I'm telling, lets talk about something else for now okay Iza-kun?" The boy nervously laughed wanting nothing more than to change the subject as fast as possible. "H-Hey! Did you want to see some kind of movie this weekend? Maybe we can both go if you don't already have date set up."

 

Twirling his fork lightly between his fingers Ritsuya had eaten all his cake and now was practically watching every move his friend made. "Think we have time for the arcade? I still want that rematch in air hockey!" Laughing Ritsuya poked his friend's cheek before his cell phone ran, "Oh excuse me for a second!" Getting up the teen walked away toward the restrooms to answer his phone.

 

Meanwhile a couple had walked into the cafe as it was none other than Iza's boyfriend clinging to the arm of their class president giggling like a happy little school girl as he didn't even notice Iza was there. "P-President-san you're too funny! Are we still going to the movies tomorrow?"

The red head squinted his eyes at the statements that his friend had given. --No more than friends, huh? Plus....I know him well? This situation was turning gears in Iza's brain until a scream to change the subject interrupted his thinking. A frown was present on the older teen's face. "No we won't change the subject!" Watching as his friend talked over him about the movies and air hockey. "HEY L-" Before he could speak his mind, his best friend's phone rang. Ritsuya had to take it, leaving the table after excusing himself.

 

Huffing lightly, the teen placed his face into his hand before hearing a familiar voice. Glancing up, the red head noticed his lover attached to the arms of the class president, asking the male if their date was still secured. The red head watched the two for a while longer before slowly standing and approaching Jess, the boyfriend. "Hey, um...what movies? Plus, I didn't see you in school today, yet you have on your uniform." Watching his boyfriend with a small frown, completely ignoring the other student.

Jumping Jess looked to see his boyfriend there as he looked between him and the class president for a few moments then sighed. "Give me a minute." He spoke to the male sending him off to get their drinks leaving him alone with Iza as JEss rubbed the bridge of his nose trying to think of what to even say to the man. "Iza-san there is no easy way to say this but...I think its best for us to see other people." Being blunt the boy looked up to his now ex-boyfriend as he almost seemed to have a bored expression on his face. "Its just that, I don't feel like you take me serious enough in it at all, you're always talking about what's his face, urm...Ritsuya. Yeah Ritsuya-kun. You spent more time with him than you did with me and I can't take it anymore, you don't even seem like you're in love with me but instead it seems like you are with Ristuya-san. No matter how much you deny it you always looked at that boy the way I wished you had looked at me, I can't bare to see that every day anymore. I'm sorry but I've found someone else, maybe now you can see just how infatuated you are with Ritsuya-san and just hook up with him already." With that Jess brushed passed Iza to go join his new boyfriend on the other side of the establishment not sparing a second glance at Iza.

 

Ritsuya had never been happy to hear his mother call him at such a time to remind him to pick up some stuff from the store on the way home as he finally hung up and then headed back out to go and join his best friend for the rest of their outing. Just as he stepped out he noticed Jess walking pass him to go join another boy at a table as it made him blink a little confused. Turning he noticed Iza was standing up looking as if he had been frozen on the spot, 'What the...?' Carefully approaching his best friend the teen smiled placing his hand on the man's back, "Iza-kun? Was that Jess-san just now?"

That was harsh, harsh enough to make the older teen think that it had to be a dream. Although it seemed all to real when that petit body brushed pass him to get to the class president, someone that Iza thought was good for the students. That all changed with the thoughts of the teen enjoying s the action of natching other's lovers from underneath their noses, albeit he could blame the president. It wasn't as if the other had forced his boyfriend to date him, Jess was more than willing. The worst part was that his lover didn't even have the decency to break up with him first before dating the other, it had to be seen.

 

Tears leaked from his reddish tinted orbs as a hand was placed on his back. Shaking his head, the red head grabbed onto his friend's arm and pushed pass the president and Jess, although Iza stopped to whisper to the teen who was now his ex. "You are mistaken. I love you...and I always will." Finally pulling Ritsuya outside the building. Glancing into the other's eyes, Iza shook his head. "He broke up with me."

Jumping completely startled at the sudden grip to his wrist Ritsuya had to move quickly otherwise he would have fell to the ground face first as Iza seemed to be in a hurry. As he continued to follow the male out the door he hard those words that seemed to break his own heart, pushing his own feeling to the side he needed to know what was going on with his best friend. Once they were outside he didn't have a chance to ask before he heard the male speaking of what was wrong. Blinking Ristuya opened then closed his mouth a few times before pulling Iza into a hug as he rubbed the male's back to soothe him, even though people stared as they walked past Ritsuya held him tighter. "Come on lets go to my place, I'll made your favorite since mom is going to be having the late shift tonight." After telling Iza to wait he managed to go back inside grabbing their bags then leaving out the building as he lead Iza to his home not too far from town.

 

Sitting on his bed Ritsuya offered Iza some pudding as he couldn't believe Jess broke it off with Iza and in such a bitchy way. "I'm sorry about Jess Iza-kun...he was an asshole for doing that to you, you're a really great passionate guy." The teen pointed out as he ate a spoonful of pudding crossing his legs as he watched his saddened best friend, it tore him up inside to see Iza like this. "If I were you I'd get revenge on that creep, date some really cute guy and rub it in his face that he had missed the best thing that could have ever happened to him. To show him what kind of a man you really are, sweet, passionate, strong, brave, and noble." Nodding confidently Ritsuya continued to eat his pudding as he slightly listened to the tv playing in the background in his room.

The tears had dried by the time that the two was at Ritsuya's house; all that was left was a saddened expression that the red head couldn't shake to easily. The older teen smiled at his friend, he could tell that the other was trying his absolute hardest to cheer him up, so he would at least try himself. Iza was never known to be the gloomy one of the two, actually, neither of them were. They were always so cheerful and hyper. The older teen wouldn't change that, not even now....or at least he'd try.

A laugh tore through the air as Iza shook his head at his best friend. "A guy that's cuter than Jess? As if that possible. There is no one else. That's a terrible idea. As if there is someo- wait....Ritsuya-chan...you...um..." Blsuhing slightly at the idea that suddenly dashed into his head. "Well, you're the only one that I can see that's...well actually as beautiful as Jess. I...um...well you can replace him. You are my type after all." Giving a playful wink to his friend. The red head meant exactly what he was saying, but didn't want to make anything too awkward. It was true that Iza always thought Ritsuya was sex on legs, but since the two was friends for so long he had never registered it sexually until now. This would be awkward that was for sure.

Hearing the other Ritsuya did his best to not let it ruin his mood as he continued to eat his treat but then the food was almost spat from his mouth as he turned wide eyes to look at Iza. 'D-Did he? Is he serious!?' Blushing deeply at the red head's words he never knew Iza thought like that about him as he didn't think he would seem that attractive or cute in the male's eyes, he always thought Iza was simply joking when he called him cute on occasion. Biting his bottom lip the teen looked to his lap as he noticed his pudding cup was empty thus preventing him from busying his mouth with something other than talking as he then sighed. "I...well is that really a good idea Iza-kun?" He lightly asked unsure of this but he was the one to suggest such a thing in the first place.

 

Brushing some of his black hair from his eyes this was a bittersweet moment he had been waiting for, this could mean going on 'dates' with Iza as a couple and kissing in front of everyone, holding hands, hugging, the pros was a very long list that was in his favor. On the other hand this was all for getting back at Jess, this was just a game and none of it would be Iza's true feelings about him.

 

After coming to terms Ritsuya nodded his head and couldn't help but feel the blush staying proudly on his cheeks, "W-Well if you really think I'd be a good candidate for the job then I'll do it, but remember I've never gone out with anyone before so I'll try my best not to embarrass you."

Iza smiled at the other, pushing a strand of hair from his friend's face. "Yeah?" Sounding a bit excited that the other agreed to do so. A chuckle was given when his friend said to not have had a boyfriend before, and that he would try his best not to embarrass him. "I want you to act just as you do now. If you are shy it's all the more cute. Jess was rather bold but....your so much more shy than he is. I...think it's cute." Smiling to Ritsuya with a raise of the brow.

 

"We shouldn't move too fast though, but it wouldn't be such a unbelievable statement when others say we're together. Me and you have been friends forever. Some people had asked me why haven't we done this before." Leaning closer to his friend with an amusing look. "I'm going to be your very first kiss...right? Are you sure that it won't disappoint you seeing as the love of your life is who you're waiting on....right?"

Nodding his head Ritsuya was sure he'd faint at the way Iza was talking to him, it made his heart flutter when the male called him cute as he bit his bottom lip and nodded his head at the other pointing out that it would be his first kiss. 'If only you knew...' Rubbing the back of his head the teen had to figure out how to do this as he softly sighed, "I would enver be disappointed, as long as its you I-I wouldn't mind giving you first kiss. It's better than me bumping noses like an idiot with someone else and completely embarrassing myself." Gazing into those beautiful red orbs Ritsuya had a soft shy smile gracing his pink lips as he moved a little closer to the other.

 

"Will you teach me then Iza-kun? Since you're so experienced it would make more sense t-to practice on each other so it can look more believable in public don't you think? I don't mind giving my first kiss to you..." He reasoned as he waited for the other's response.

Iza couldn't help the stare he was giving his friend. The other was actually willing to give him his first kiss, and he seemed pretty ready at the moment. The red head couldn't just teach his friend like that could he? Would it be right? Sighing slightly, the teen leaned closer and slowly captured the other's lips with his own. Teeth coming into play as it slowly nibbled at the bottom lip of Ritsuya's. The petit boy was actually delectable. Who ever knew that his friend would have such soft, kissable lips.

 

Pulling away from the dark haired boy, the older student stared into the strangely purplish orbs of his best friend's. "Um...". Embarrassed from the small kiss himself. "Uh...there. That was your first kiss. We can practice more when this isn't so...awkward between us." Not knowing what expression to wear.

Ritsuya was sure Iza could hear his heart racing, hell the whole neighborhood could probably hear it as he could smell the other's scent. 'I always loved his scent...' The young teen pondered as he softly smiled awaiting for the red head to make his decision. His thoughts were interrupted when he felt something so hot a smooth against his lips for a moment he thought he was having another one of those wet dreams but it turned out to be nothing but reality. Blushing deeply Ritsuya shivered as he kissed the male back slowly, jumping a little startled he felt as his bottom lip was nibbled but didn't feel afraid of Iza hurting him. "Mmmm..." Softly purring the little kiss ended faster than he had wanted but all in all Ritsuya swore he could die happy right then and there.

 

As he noticed the awkwardness of his best friend he too felt just a tad bit awkward but didn't let that ruin his moment of happiness. "Thank you Iza-kun...urm I guess maybe I should go an make us dinner for now then?" The dark haired boy didn't know what to say himself, he was a little speechless as the kiss did in fact feel really good as he could still feel some tingling on his lips. "It felt really good Iza-sempai...thank you." Quickly Ritsuya rushed from the room not wanting to see the look on the red head's face at his choice of words. Rushing down the stairs he made his way into the kitchen and then pulled his hair back with a red headband he kept near his apron.
