Once you have told your friend that you like them, the relationship will feel different and irrespective of whether or not he accepts you as a love interest, more often than not it will be difficult to "turn back time" to how it was prior. I recommend you analyse the personality. Is he the kind of person to take things seriously, does he have a problem with homosexuals, what kinds of people does he associate himself with or have as role models (perhaps a way for you to know his "type"?) and is he trust worthy? Most teens still haven't got a mature way of thinking therefore serious topics about education, life, relationships, friendships fall on deaf ears. A lot of the teens I have been friends with and known made fun of people, the "serious folk" and/or exploited vulnerabilities in people. Even I have done it in the past at least once. * If he doesn't take things seriously then you will have difficulties expressing your feelings. * If he isn't trustworthy and the result to your confession is less than desirable, he may tell others. Everything lies on how you execute the confession and if you do it. I am NOT trying to discourage you but I would rather you pick a choice with the best outcome FOR YOU than make a risk that could leave you hurting. I didn't want to sound like the person with scars everywhere and each one has a story of its own lol I need to follow my own advice more often though! Now days we all have to be careful... At the same time any moment we do not take to express out feelings towards someone is an opportunity we lose to be with someone we truly like (love comes with time... crushes and infatuation come in the moment).
