This month theme shall be ''Soaked by the Sun''.

YaoiOtaku decided to open a thread for people

that love music and love to write poems,

or simply song lyrics.

Giving chance to show your feelings

about the current theme and in general - how do you interpret it.

We have picked a certain song,

based on its melody you have to write down

either a poem or a song lyrics.

Of course,it's up to you how you name it,as long as you mention once

'Soaked by the Sun' in the content.

HYPOTHETICAL

I would pick the rose

that fulls of thorns

I clench onto your throat

until your breath no more

I used to looked at you

when you glued to my heart

stare at you like silent angel

with a smile that I used to see

if only I could ask the moon

to hum a tune for those night

and let the clear light sing

so the heart would not break

but the Sun stood on you

soaked by the Sun rays

to create a shadow of you

and revealed your dark side

the day clamped my voice

as those cold whispers left

and fade from the light

without a smudge of hint

as if the stars mock

when the heart appeal

that it hold by the tears

but still beats over a half.

FINAL FALL

We stand on this torn battlefield alone

Battered and bleeding as our hearts beat away

Armor dinged and halfway torn off

We face our final moment together as one

You reach your hands out to hold on to me

We spread our wings out and ascend to the sky

Tears begin welling up in my eyes

As we take our destined last and final flight

Above the clouds we are away from the earth

The smell of blood leaves my nose

I hold onto you your body tight

Taking in the sound of your heartbeat

Drawing our blades from the sheaths at our sides

We slowly push away from each other

Silver and glistening covered in death

You swing at my head with great fury

Trying to impale your beautifully exposed chest

Rolling teardrops wash my face

Flying back and away from the warrior I see

Wishing that this was all just a dream

Before a blink can be executed by my eyes

We are face to face again

Grabbing my helmet and pulling it off

You give me your last delicious kiss

Smiling at me like the first time we met

Arm raised in the air

Bracing for your deadly blow

I close my eyes and let out a sigh

Taking your blade and sticking it into yourself

I open my eyes and see you die

Falling fast to the ground below

You're beautifully soaked by the sun

You Listened To Them

How many times I thought about moving on

Don't look back, achieve my dreams

How many times I tried to forget the past

But it all reminded me of those times

Even you

I remember clearly of how we were

Two happy young people that didn't care about what others thought

Now that I think this way, I wish you were here

Just to tell me why

This have happened

We walked hand in hand down the road of the world

Understanding and exploring life

We promise never to listen to others

We were so right about it

Then why did you do this?

You were my sun

Lighting up my life with your smile

And then you looked backward

You heard people and felt fear

Oh, love, I'm scared too

Then you abandoned me

Shouting that I was a freak

That you were already saved

But I don't

I was humiliated by my love

Who preferred to hear the world

I was soaked by the sun

My own sun

I'd like to try, too!

Voyage into Infinity

(starts at 00:08)

Slowly, majestically rising, gathering speed,

Aiming higher, soaring into the heavens on our uncertain voyage into the universe

Our shuttle breaks through the early morning clouds as our searching eyes meet over the control panels,

Exosphere, Thermosphere, Mesosphere- we’re leaving the familiar atmosphere behind, pushing further as our ship rattles

My heartbeat increases as perspiration drips when I see your fear

Stratosphere, Troposphere- the earth falls away and suddenly we’ve left the earth behind.

We slow down once you choke the thrusters and I feel my body rise

Only the resistance of my belt holds me back against the seat as our proud ship turns, suspended in space

You take my hand and we glance out the cockpit at the dramatic sight that presents itself below,

The glorious earth, glowing luminously green, brown and blue, beckons us back down to it,

Will we ever see it again? Shall we ever return?

“We’re in this together,” you whisper as you squeeze my hand, seeming to understand my angst.

Our ship continues to turn and then, we are soaked by the sun,

The blinding light of its powerful, harmful, yet splendiferous rays caress over our faces

So breathtakingly beautiful resting against the black void of space, it restores my faith in our mission.

I remove my helmet to smile at you and leaving my harness, I float into your arms and hold you in vulnerable vacuum

So small and insignificant in comparison to the cosmos, in that moment I know that to you, I am everything

I want to pause, want to freeze this moment in stillness, but you break it with a kiss and gently push me back.

My ears begin to throb as we receive commands from several thousand kilometers below,

Now everything must go fast and my pulse begins to race

No mistakes can be made now as my fingers fly over the computer screen before me,

Altitude, oxygen level, heat shield, delta wings – the countdown to terra incognita has begun

Something tightens in my chest as my heart becomes heavy

Why couldn’t we have had more time on earth to get to know each other before we were plunged into this dangerous adventure?

We veer and once more sunlight hits my face and I close my eyes against the impending doom,

For some seconds, all noise disappears and there is only heat, but then the countdown reaches three,

Nodding as we check our final coordinates, we strap ourselves in and lean backwards, preparing for the forceful punch,

Covering my mouthpiece when the countdown reaches two, I tell you again how much I love you and your eyes tear up,

With a constricted throat, I take a last look at the friendly sun and bid it and my former life farewell,

Punching in the red button when we reach the one, we are propelled away from planet earth into secretive, seductive, sinister and silent space.

Time to Leave

I wake up cold and stiff, unable to move an inch.

The darkness makes me tired and unwilling to even flinch.

How are we supposed to work if our bodies won't move?

What we need is the sun, Mr. Winter, not you.

No, not you, we don't need your breeze,

your breath, or your wholehearted gift. Just leave.

What we need is the sun, its gaze and its praise.

Go off where you go and leave with your craze.

Old Man Winter, listen to me this once,

we only want to be soaked by the sun.

Don't you dare say no to us,

we who lived through the cold of your days,

beg you to finally stay away.

We want the feeling of the sun, on our skin,

and the heat of the light. Just let the sun win.

Please, good sir, we don't mind the sweat.

But we do no longer want to fret

as we look out the window in the morn

at the new day that we scorn.

So let us bask in the sun as you depart.

We won't even call you a stupid, old fart.

Old Man Winter, listen to me this once,

we only want to be soaked by the sun.

Don't you dare say no to us,

we who live through the cold of your days.

It's time for you to admit that you,

really need to stay away.

When you leave, we will all feel free.

The rays would come down and pick us up.

It'll wrap around like a big hug,

stinging us all as it pulls us in

to the big warm arms of the season called spring.

I would feel the sun engulf my being

as you once and for all leave us until next year.
