ukemextreme
Takashi stared at his roommate then down at his textbook. "I thought you were...oh nevermind." He sat beside Hatomi and clapped a little. "Wow, you're studying...why so sudden? And class is...okay as usual," he patted the other's head even though he knew too well that he didn't like it and stood up to get himself a drink. Remalade
Hatomi glared at him before turning back to his book. "My professor said that if I pass the test tomorrow, I'll pass the class for the semester. With that, I won't have to bother much with this shitty class for the rest of the year." he informed, his own words giving him the determination to study. If he passed this test, he would be able to skip as many classes as he wanted. Well, even more than he already did.
ukemextreme
Takashi blinked and returned to the living room, peering down at his book. "What's that? Need any help?" he asked, flopping down on the floor just beside the table, eyes still on his roommate's textbook. He peered up at him and saw how determined Hatomi was and smiled a little. "Come on...let me teach you some shortcuts if you'd like."
Remalade
"Algebra, as usual." Hatomi looked up at the offer. Well, it would be nice to have some help. "yeah, can you show a shortcut for problem 4?" he asked, his eyes trained on his roommate as he waited for him to explain. He scooted a bit closer to Takashi, passing the textbook to him as well. ukemextreme
Takashi quickly looked through his bag for his glasses and wore it before squinting at the problem. It was a little simple for him -- maybe because he's already in higher Math subjects. He borrowed Hatomi's pen and scribbled down on a piece of paper the formula before showing Hatomi how it's done. "So, you have to find the x's and the y's but since you have 2 variables, you have to use systems," he explained, showing Hatomi a little diagram and went on to showing him the shortcut. "You try it on...number 6 then." Takashi scooted closer, an arm behind Hatomi as he leaned close to watch how the blonde solves the problem, his face almost a few inches away. Remalade
Hatomi noticed his close proximity but didn't pull away, his face reddened slightly as he listened to Takashi's instructions. He watched how his roommate had used the formula, then tried to apply it to the other problem. His eyebrows scrunched together as he tried to solve the problem. A few seconds later, he pointed to the solution for the system. "Is this right?" he asked, unsure even though his answer was actually correct. ukemextreme
Takashi watched as Hatomi did his work. His roommate wasn't even bad at this. Takashi chuckled softly and nodded, ruffling the other's hair. "You're pretty good at this," he commented, making a small smiley besides Hatomi's answer, "that is, if you try hard." He snickered and scooted away stretching a little.
Remalade
Hatomi laughed at his little smiley face. He felt like a little kid getting a gold star sticker. He stuck his tongue out at Takashi before going back to his work. He noticed his roommate scooting away, but he bit his lip to keep from saying something. Honestly, he had kind of liked Takashi sitting so close to him. Not wanting to sound whiny, Hatomi simply kept the thought to himself. "This is probably going to end up being an all-night study session. Are you making dinner? We could order something if you want..." he mumbled. ukemextreme
Takashi stood up and looked down at his roommate, shrugging. "Hmm, what would you want? Like, maybe something that could help you study..." he mumbled softly. Takashi would want to cook like he usually did but he had Hatomi to consider now. Thinking about it, Takashi realized he has been thinking about Hatomi lately -- like his needs and wants. It felt good...having someone to take care of. Remalade
"I don't know...what kind of food is supposed to make you smart?" Hatomi questioned, looking up at his roommate in confusion. To him, a nice meal was a bowl of ramen or some rice. Takashi was much more knowledgeable about food and cooking, so he figured that anything the man could come up with would be fine. Pretty much anything Takashi made was delicious, but he wasn't about to tell him that.
ukemextreme
Takashi pursed his lips in thought before laughing softly. "Peanut makes you smart, that's what I heard though I don't entirely recommend it if you don't want pimples on your beautiful face," he jokingly replied. It was true though, he had already accepted the fact that his roommate's beauty was really...out of the ordinary. He shrugged though and stretched some more. "Well, I could cook some stew and chicken and maybe go buy some snacks for your all-nighter. How's that?"
Remalade
Hatomi's cheeks flushed slightly at hearing the compliment from him. Did Takashi really mean that? He had never heard his roommate say anything like that before, and he couldn't help the smile that it put in his face. "Yeah, that sounds nice. Thanks, Taka-kun." he added, glancing back up at the taller man. His eyes trailed over Takashi's body as he stretched, but he willed himself to look back at his paper. ukemextreme
"Great," he beamed and then pat the other's head. "Study well, I'll just be in the kitchen if you need me," he added then paused for a moment. Hesitantly, he leaned down and kissed the crown of Hatomi's head. Takashi flushed, realizing what he did and quickly walked to the kitchen and immediately taking out the ingredients to take his mind off what he did from before. Remalade
Hatomi frowned when Takashi pat his head, but the frown disappeared when he felt his lips instead. He watched as his roommate walked away. A few weeks ago, he would have called Takashi uninteresting and stuck up, but now he was seeing things that made him think differently. The man was surprisingly romantic at times, even if he was a bit awkward at times, and he even had a nice sense of humor. Hatomi realized that he had spaced out while thinking about his roommate for a number of minutes, and quickly focused his attention back to his studying. Â He managed to complete another full page of problems before his short attention span finally gave out. "Ugh, Takashiiiiiiiiii..." he groaned, putting his head down on the table. "I think my brain's gonna explode..."
ukemextreme
Takashi was busy making food and trying to not let embarrassment - of what he did earlier - take over when Hatomi called out to him. He hmm-ed loudly in reply. He can't leave the kitchen yet, he was in the middle of making the stew and even though he would want to come over and check on Hatomi, he just could not leave the soup boiling. Â "What's wrong?" he asked, "Come to the kitchen then. I'll give you something to drink."
Remalade
Hatomi groaned even louder at being told to move. After he had carefully spread out all of his notes and books so carefully? And by carefully, he meant threw all of the papers onto the table without a care. The blonde grabbed a few worksheets and headed into the kitchen. Takashi had only just started, but it already smelled great. After putting the papers down on their dining table, he grumbled and dragged himself over to his roommate. "I've only been studying for an hour and I'm about to die..." he complained, looking over his shoulder into the pot as he always did.
ukemextreme
Takashi chuckled, shaking his head a little, as he took a spoon. He lowered down the fire and dipped the spoon into the stew. "Here, try this," he urged, thinking that if Hatomi would have a taste and it seemed fine, the other man would not sound exhausted as he is. Takashi blew unto the spoon before bringing it to the other's lips, his eyes trailing to it as well.
Remalade
Hatomi eagerly took a sip of the soup, a pleased smile on his face as he reveled in the savory taste. "I think I just came in my boxers a little bit, wow that's really good." he complimented. "Is it done yet? Can I eat now?" he questioned, tugging on his roommate's sleeve for emphasis. Thinking of Takashi's delicious food had completely distracted him from his turmoil of studying.
ukemextreme
Takashi flushed and pinched Hatomi's nose right after he said his compliment. "Don't be silly," he muttered even though he was the one who was clearly embarrassed by it. He was not that much great of a cook but he's glad his roommate likes the stuff he makes. Takashi raised an eyebrow at Hatomi's tugging; the man's older but he's like a child. Shaking his head, he replied, "I'll just put them in bowls but be a good boyfriend and go clear the table instead." The redness in his cheeks didn't dissipate upon him referring to his roommate as his boyfriend but he cleared his throat then put on a teasing smile instead. Remalade
Hatomi whined at being told what to do but still complied, all the while grumbling under his breath about what a "bossy boyfriend" he had, along with other complaints of "treating me like a kid, stupid Taka-kun", unknowingly pouting cutely like a kid himself. When the table was cleared, he turned back to him with a smile as if he hadn't been complaining the whole time. "Alright, let's eat! Why are your cheeks so red, Takashi?" he asked curiously, leaning on the counter.
ukemextreme
Takashi chuckled softly, hearing the other grumble and plated the food he had cooked. He gingerly placed them on the table once Hatomi had cleared it and was about to say something when the other asked. Takashi's eyes widened and he quickly shook his head. "N-no, it's not!" he protested, his face turning even redder by the second. He quickly sat and put food on his own bowl and plate. "J-just...eat." Remalade
Hatomi laughed at his response but decided to let it go for now. He found it cute whenever his roommate got so flustered. Sitting down across from him, the blonde thanked him for the food once more before digging in. As he has confirmed, it tasted great. He had to wonder if cooking was actually Takashi's true calling. Â "So what do you have planned for tomorrow?" he asked.
ukemextreme
Takashi ate in silence, only stealing occasional glances at Hatomi. He's getting more and more embarrassed and flustered around this man. It's like his internal balanced dwindled a little, Takashi thought. He wondered why it was. Â "Hmm? What's tomorrow?" he asked in a soft voice, blinking. Remalade
"Hm? Nothing special, I just didn't know if you had classes or anything. I only have to take that test in the morning, then I'll be free." Hatomi shrugged. He actually did have an idea, but he was still working out all of the details. And that would remain a secret until it was time for it. His eyes glanced up at Takashi, a mischievous grin appearing on his face before he looked back at his food. ukemextreme
Takashi furrowed his eyebrows and tilted his head, wondering what was going on in that brain of his. He looked down at his food, eating whilst thinking hard. It was wednesday tomorrow and he didn't have class so he usually got stuck at home getting bored with himself and if he did, he went on to study. "Well, I don't have class tomorrow so I'll be home the whole day."
