"Might as well make yourself at home you two. I've got a man to catch." Zan said in a flat tone.

 

Not even turning back he raised his hand over his shoulder and half waved good-bye before dropping it back to his side.

 

"I'll leave water boy with you. If you look around I am sure you'll find some rooms to your liking." With that he disappeared down the stair well after the man.

 

Reaching the bottom he exited and saw Kai not to far ahead of him. He looked up at the sky and knew what his mother would be saying. Clicking his fingers the snow stopped falling around Kai and Zan quickly took his side.

 

"I noticed you weren't a fan and thought I would let you be a bit warmer. Though if you worked at it you could with stand my coldest storms. Ice does have a habit of melting in the hands of fire. Though you knew that from earlier. The water that still covers you hands is what you did. My snow doesn't just melt without me wanting it to. That fact you managed it is impressive." Zan didn't look at his fellow Mystic even though he wanted to so badly.

 

Raising a hand to the back of his head he blushed slightly.

 

"Sorry about earlier. I shouldn't of acted the way I did. I am just so used to people using me as their punching bag. I shouldn't take my anger out on others." Zan brought his eyes to look at Kai.

 

"Call me Zan please." He smiled softly.

Melody rolled her eyes as Zan followed after the Fire Mystic.

 

"Please be careful. They are out there." She shouted after them before taking a seat next to J.

 

"Very observant J. My sadness is my burden and for now must just be mine. I have seen many events transpire through my teachings and travels. My curse it I can not reveal what I have seen or heard." Turning to face him she took his hand and looked deep into his eyes. Watching the hidden rapids thrash wildly within them.

 

"Please trust me. When the time comes you all must trust me. If you don't this will all end and the world as we know it will be in terrible danger. Zanrimanon must be kept safe no matter what. He must make it to the end. So must Kai. Without them this is all lost. With all seven of us we stand a good chance." Her voice never faltered and she never lost contact with J's eyes.

 

"Never tell them. They must never know. Everything I have told you today is true and unavoidable. Will you stay with us J and fight?" She release his hand and continued to focus on his eyes.

J let out a small smile when the blonde sat down next to him and let out a warm breath. Carefully listening to her talk, his eyes saddened slightly, yet he still smiled and lightly squeezed the woman's hand when she took his. The torqoise eyes had his own emerald ones locked up. Still, the mention of 'curse' somewhat saddened the man. Why did a woman this nice and beautiful had to suffer this much?..

 

The man took in a deep breath and exhaled slowly when Melody released his hand while he tilted his head slightly. "I'll stay, for sure. And... Exactly why mustn't I tell them? Shouldn't both Zanrimanon and him know?" J didn't even wasnt to mention the pervert's name. Disgusting.

 

"Melody, I want to ask something... How come you had your powers since you were a child? How did you realize that? And most importantly - how did you learn to control them?" The man asked as he reached out and softly took the woman's hand back into his own - the feeling was nice... He wished he could hold her hand like this more often.

"I can not go into detail at the moment J but in a simple term if they fall in love and Kai knew what would happen he would never let Zan fulfill his destiny. I can't say more than that and thank you for staying with us. Zan and I were born in Vidalaria where as the rest of you were born outside of the Village. So your powers were locked away. Zan and I were raised very differently. He grew up on the streets were I was raised by my grandmother who also escaped, raised me and taught me how to use my powers. She sadly passed away leaving me with the final task of uniting us all together and stop the Fallen. I promised her I would. So here I am." The young Irish woman spoke without even turning towards the Water Mystic. Her voice sorrowful and filled with emotion.

 

"I promise I will explain at a later time."

J blinked a few times and sighed out. He honestly wanted to ask just what was it that Zanrimanon had to do to fulfill his destiny - but he decided not to. A small smile appeared on the man's face as he listened to the blonde talking as he continued to hold her hand softly, as if it was made out of glass.. And he was trying to protect it. "Then... How are we, the ones who didn't know about our powers until now... How are we supposed to learn to control them or even use them?" The man asked quietly as he gently ran his thumb over Melody's hand. "Any chance you'd teach me how to?" He asked with a smile on his face as he looked at her carefully, hoping he didn't say anything wrong.

Kai crossed his arms and hunched over, trying to keep as warm as possible. He continued to shiver as the snowflakes landed on his not-so-warm blazer. But just as he was thinking that he was going to have to bring it the drycleaners, the wet droplets stopped falling and the air didn’t feel quite that cold anymore. Oh, that’s quite convenient. For it to stop snowing just as I come out. He chuckled at his good luck.

 

The sudden appearance of the pale man at his side startled him. Geh! The little monster followed me. Should have known. His expression turned dark and he averted his gaze pretending not to know the other male. Kai really didn’t want anything to do with him. He tried his best to ignore him, but that effort proved futile as soon as the white head mentioned the Mystic of Fire business again. He turned to face the one annoying him, intent on scolding the younger man.

 

Then he saw a blush spread over the lad’s face and thought to himself, hmm he’s actually really cute. It was a fact that Kai was attracted to the other male. In the Japanese man’s eyes, Zan was beautiful. With almost-white skin that looked like porcelain, it was like looking at a perfectly sculpted figure. And the soft smile added to his perfection.

 

Realizing that he thought a “monster” was cute looking, Kai shook his head to rid the thought. He took a deep breath and calmly said, “ Look kid. I don’t know how that happened in there, but it’s creepy. You’re creepy. I’m telling you that I’m definitely not the guy you’re looking for. I just happened to stumble into your home, and I’m sorry for that. I don’t want to be involved in some supernatural shit. I have a daughter to return to. So go run along home too, ok?”

 

Kai made a left. Walking by the colourful display, he searched the candy store for his daughter. In a playful voice, the father called out, “Dai-chwan~ where’s my adorable little princess?” The usual response that he would’ve received consisted of a series of stomping noises and then the little human flying into his arms. He waited for 10 seconds, 20 seconds, 30 seconds, but the stomping didn’t start. Did she find something she really liked?

 

He trot through a busy aisle with what looked like five families. As he was surveying the candy on the shelves, he spotted the familiar colourful little circles. M&Ms. Hmm her favourite’s here so where is she? Passing sugary treats after sugary treats, he wandered through the store; making his way to the next aisle, and then the next, and the next.

 

Expecting his little girl to be in the last aisle, he peeked his head around the corner with a smug look. “Dai-chwwaaaaan~” But she wasn’t there. Aside from a mom and her little boy, the lane was empty. A look of worry smeared itself over his face. He quickly made his way to the front of the store where the cash register was and inquired the attendant.

 

“Hey, did a little girl walk in here by herself about 15 minutes ago? Brown hair. Pigtails. In a fluffy pink jacket with a frilly pink dress under. The cutest little thing you’ll ever see.”

“How old is she? I don’t think I saw anyone with that description walk in.”

“She’s 2. In a month she’ll be 3. Please try thinking harder.”

“2? How can you leave a 2-year-old by herself? If I saw her, I’d definitely have called the police!”

 

The concerned father fell into a state of panic. He turned back into the store to search the aisles again, now calling in a serious authoritative voice, “Daiquiri! Daiquiri Tequilla Ryozaki!” Not quite thinking straight anymore, he grabbed at shoulders to check the face of every child in the humble little store. He stumbled his way through each aisle for the second time, heartbeat increasing as he stressed about his daughter’s whereabouts.

 

When he’d successfully irritated every parent in the candy shop, he paused to breathe. Finally he had realized that if what the attendant had said was true, it meant his daughter never made it to the store. He started out the door to search the streets.

Rima sighs as the the last two of the Fallen finally enters the room, the door slamming shut with an unseen force behind them. Although they were all complete now, the only ones who look rather alert for the whole thing was him, Kato, Phantas, and Kasper. Miryuu, their resident telekinetic, flops down the chair to Rima's immediate right. He slumps on the table, face expressing his confusion. "That was QAK, right?" Miryuu whines, "A little warning before please."

 

Jihami, the tallest among them despite being a woman, snorts derisively. She takes the last available chair and crosses her arms over her chest in irritation. Rima raises a curious brow at her. "Someone," she grits her teeth, "kindly renovated the whole place that we ended up being lost." Rima snorts, complaints the furthest things from his mind. The whole place looked newer, better, and more fitting for them, the Fallen. "At least he's useful." Jihami turns her glare on him accompanied by a faint sensation of prickling on the back of his mind. Rima smirks.

 

"So?" Miryuu interrupts. He scoots closer to Rima and rests his head on Rima's shoulders. Shooting a passing glare at Jihami, Miryuu tries to snuggle close. Rima rolls his eyes in irritation but fondly pats Miryuu's head before dislodging the telekinetic. He moves closer to the table, leaning his elbow on the table and cupping his face. "What are our plans then? Information gathering?"

 

Jihami suddenly frowns. "I feel uneasy." A faraway look entering her gaze as she stares at nothing particular. "I don't know but- something's happening or will happen," Jihami shakes her head as if clearing some haze from her mind, "I don't know but it makes me itch to do something." Jihami bares her teeth in a snarled smile. "Towns, anyone?" Narrowing his eyes as he feels his skin prickle in anticipation, Rima lazily leans back on his chair. He passes his gaze over each of the Fallen and smiles darkly. "What should we do?" He casts a quick glance at QAK before turning to Phantas, "How long until your powers fully recover?"

Phantas sighed, "It has only been 5 days, to be back at full power will take another 3 weeks, maybe a few days longer. As I am now I am as when we first got our powers. I can make the shadows dance, but there is no form to them. If you guys want to attack a town the best I can do is scare them with the thought of ghosts and monsters in the shadows." Phantas yawned in the middles of his sentance, hand covering his mouth and wiping away a bit of sleep and moisture from the corner of his eye before continuing. "If you want my help I will need to be in the centre of the town to be any good."

 

Leaning back in his chair he smiled chaning the subject briefly. "At least I'm not the only one getting lost in these corridors now Jihami, and who knows it could look a whole lot better , but I haven't seen outside the meeting room." Grinning at the tall woman he looked around the table. 6 men and one woman, they had already failed once at making the world suffer, but then they had been working along or in two's in the past. The time spent in the vortex meant they had spoken, and figured out to work together to truly make the world pay.

 

Kato spoke, breaking his reviere. "I can go with Phantas, make sure he is awake when the attack happens and keep him alive." Phantas threw a scowl at the man for that muttering about being perfectly able to keep himself alive. Ignoring the muttering Kato continued, "It depends on how you want to destroy the town as to how we do this . We could also take Miryuu to make them think it was ghosts even more, or we can do a single night attack with the shadows to confuse them."

Zan sighed and propped himself against the door frame of the store. The frantic Kai grabbed children and ran around like a mad man. He thought it was kinda cute to be honest. As the fired up man exited the shop Zan laid a hand on his shoulder.

 

"You have the power to find her. The mirror is at you service." Zans voice had turned deadly serious.

 

"Come back to the flat. If you can't form the mirror so find your daughter then you are right and you are not the Mystic of Fire but if you do form it then you join us and fight."

 

Zan leaned forward and brushed his lips against Kais ear.

 

"That a deal?" He whispered before blowing in the mans ear.

 

To be totally honest he had no idea what he was doing but he'd see it in movies and it had worked so what harm could this do.

Melody placed her other hand ontop of J's and turned to look at him once more.

 

"I can teach you what you all how to control you abilities but the first task is truly believing in what you can do. Any doubt about you powers and you'll have no chance of being able to control you element let alone create it from environment around you." She smiled softly as she spoke and closed her eyes.

 

Displacing herself she removed herself from her current position in the time stream and appeared in the door way of a castle. As far as J knew she was still sat there. Upside to controlling time is being in two places at once. She opened her eyes and looked at the large table in front of her. The 7 Fallen gathered round it.

 

"From the sound of things none of you are ready to cause any havoc. Though it has been a while since your feet touched the ground." She smiled at them all.

 

Her eyes flashed a dark black and a clock appeared instead of her pupils. Ticking away her time barrier appeared around her incase anyone tried something funny.

 

"Don't get your nickers in a twist and go off the rails I may be able to help you all." She cocked her head to the side and winked at them all.

J smiled softly at the blonde girl as he nodded and closed his deep green eyes for the moment. "Well... It isn't quite easy to believe that I can do something like that... But I can't say that's impossible either. I mean, I've seen Zanrimanon do it- And my parents always talked of this place... Besides... Water always was like a friend to me." The man said with a soft chuckle as he opened his eyes and looked at Melody.

 

"I'd be so glad if you'd tell me what to do... Where to start, what to expect!" The man said with a smile as he looked at the woman who had her beautiful eyes closed. "Melody... When can we start this?" J questioned softly as he continued to hold her hand in his own, enjoying the warmth and the soft skin... It was a truly great feeling.

Phantas stood, his chair being thrown back as he did so and a look of pure hatred on his face. Kato was quick grabbing his arm and restraining him from physically attack the woman who had appeared in their chambers. It didn't stop the shadows swelling and moving around her, trying to attack but passing through harmlessly as their master still wasn't strong enough to give them physical form.

 

"Outsider." Phantas hissed, venom clear in his voice as the girl proclaimed she may be able to help them. "Who do you think you are. Coming here, and acting so high and mighty!" His eyes had turned pure black as he glared at the woman, she wasn't one of them. Therefore she was one was laughing at them and hating them and one that would be destroyed when he got his revenge. Usually he could hide his hatred around those he planned to destroy, but something about the way she showed up in their meeting, and acted in that way broke his control.

 

Kato was stood behind Phantas trying to calm him down, whispering quietly in his ear and while Phantas was absorbed in his hatred turned to Rima and spoke quietly. "How did she get in here?"

The moment the feeling of his illusions being forcefully snapped filtered through his nerve receptors, Rima was doubled over in pain. Distantly, he hears the sound of commotions inside the room, an intruder had came in. He grits his teeth as the waves of pain subsides, indicating that the illusions he had placed was slowly wavering back to its rightful place. Rima stands straight, fist clenched tightly and glaring at the woman. "Mystic." He snarls under his breath.

 

Rima slightly turns towards Kato, still keeping the woman at his line of sight in case she tries anything. "She forcefully broke through." Jihami was colorfully swearing and declaring death threats at the intruder, psychic powers at the ready to inflict mental pain. Even the sharp blades that was decorating the room was floating, the sharp ends directed at the girl who dared disturb them courtesy of Miryuu.

 

Rima looks straight the the woman, pretty but with the undercurrent of danger underneath her features. "How did you break through? No ordinary human could break my illusions so easily." He bares his teeth, "What Mystic are you?"

Qak tried to ignore everyone, burying his face against Kasper's arm. He was shaking from fear and wanted to cry again. He didn't even know what it was that caused him to be so anxious but he was sure some neurological reshaping had his brain in a state similar to that of when people were launched into a panic attack. He didn't look at Phantas or the entering Fallen; he just sat there, curled in a ball clinging to Kasper for dear life. At each leer and annoyance for his unexpected actions he gripped harder onto Kasper's arm until Kasper was growling at him to loosen up. He shrunk back but didn't let go.

 

His house-mates were snarling about something but he wasn't exactly listening. He wasn't comfortable being around these people. He huddled closer to Kasper as he looked around at each of them, trying to place a name. Most were okay but some of them took a little time to remember. Even after names were placed and he knew who they were, he didn't like the way they looked. Some felt dangerous though they weren't doing anything to harm him. He thought it best to pretend they were furniture, pieces of furniture that simply belonged in the same room he was. He was in the midst of relaxing and finally accepting the strangeness in talking furniture when someone else entered.

 

His calm turned into instant anxiety knowing someone else was in the room. His heart raced and he gripped the board of metal lying next to him. He'd only brought it with him because he'd come home with it but that proved to be useful at the moment. Without thought, he morphed out a machete and lunged forward at the stranger. Everyone else was only hurling verbal threats and holding offensive stances, cautious of the mystic, but Qak didn't know who she was and how dangerous so swung forward without reserve. Screaming out of fury, he attacked but right as the blade neared the lady he stopped.

 

The slight removal of a brain cell for that small change in the metal's form had him swinging moods again. He quieted down and lower his machete. Looking at the beautiful lady before him, he pouted. He wanted to be that beautiful. He glared up at her, analysing whether to think of her as a friend or a foe. Dropping his weapon, he hugged the blonde believing all beautiful people were friends of his. "I like you, you're pretty. Will you be my best friend?" He snuggled himself into her bosom, hugging tightly with no intention of touching her as intimately as he was.

Melody Signed as the strange man first tried to kill her then hugged her. Some things never change. Flicking her hand she disappeared from the embrace of the odd man and appeared next to a face she new.

 

"Hi Ri." She smiled at him then leant down so her lips brushed against his ear. "Zan is alive."

 

Standing back up right she jumped on the table and turned looking at each and everyone of them.

 

"Some things never change do they. After all those years in the vortex and you learn nothing. But hey if you wan to go round killing and destroying then who am I to stop you alone. Though I can help you. In your current state you are no good to anyone. You can't even form basic shapes. Shadows that can't sharpen. Illusions that may fool humans but not a Mystic. Reconstructions that kill you off. These aren't the fallen of old. I can offer you a way to change all that. Bring you all back to your former glory with no repercussions on use of your abilities." She smiled at them one by one.

 

Waving her hand a large distortion began to form.

 

"The Elders of Time give me strength to open this gate. Let the locked village be open for this short time. Bring forth the Gate to Vidalaria!"

 

Blackness appeared in her eyes as she spoke and the distortion turned into a large wooden door. Falling to her knees she gasped for breath. She hoped this would work.

 

"Though there is our home. Deserted but filled with the energy to revive yourselves. Stepping on the soil of our home land will return you to full power and restore your body's and minds to what they once were. You have 5 minuets to decided after that the door vanishes. This is no trap. If you stay there longer than the time the door exists for you will be flung back here with no warning. Not something I recommend. Have fun Fallen. Oh and London."

 

After she finished speaking she closed her eyes and disappeared. Opening them once more she looked at J and smiled.

 

"How about we see what is in this place. We are safe here from all so maybe they threw a training room in."

 

She looked down the corridor just to the side of the lounge. Door eight and nine were sealed shut. Nine was at the end of the corridor and stood alone. Getting to her feet and pulling J with her she giggled.

 

"That one at the end" She pointed at the lone door "Lets try that one first. I have a good feeling about it."

 

Tugging J with her she merrily dragged him to the door. As the approached she spun run so her back hit the door. The clocks appeared in her eyes ticking slowly away as she broke the seal on the door. There was a click from the lock.

 

"Care to do the honors?"

J smiled softly as he nodded and lightly, gently squeezed the woman's hand. "Sure, seeing how many rooms there are... There's bound to be a training room as well." The man said softly, with a warm smile on his face - it even reached his deep emerald green eyes.

 

The dark-haired male chuckled softly as he was pulled to his feet and nodded at Melody's words. He followed her with a small smile while continuing to hold her smaller hand in his own - was it just him or did this look like they were... Together? As in, a couple together? The thought actually made his smile a bit warmer and wider - thanks to the thought he also missed the fact that the blonde used her powers to unlock the doors.

 

When he heard the question, J blinked and smiled warmly before nodding and, with his free hand, slowly opened the door. Instead of looking at the room, he glanced at Melody and smiled. "Ladies first~"

"Why thank you good sir."

 

Letting go of his hand she made her way into the large and I mean large square toom. One tiny control panel by the door. She smiled intensly.

 

"I think we found the training room."

 

Walking up the panel she studied it and pushed a series of buttons. The room started to change and upon reaching its end the two were now stood in a large green forest. Birds were chriping and the sun shone brightly. The heat was so intense but so nice at the same time.

 

"So what you think?" She said as she started to walk through the near by trees.

J raised a brow when he saw the room that Melody lead them into. "This is the training room?..." He asked quietly while looking around. It looked plain and simple - why would it be the training room? Shouldn't there at least be targets or something like that?

 

He watched closely as the blonde pushed some buttons- and the room began changing. Now his eyes widened and his jaw fell down slightly as he looked around. "W-Woah, how is this possible?" He asked as he looked back at thr girl. He seemed honestly surprised and confused - this was a plain room just seconds ago...

 

"I mean, it looks great, but... How?" J asked once again as he stared at the young girl. He still couldn't help but admire how wonderful she looked, especially now, when the trees were in her background.

"It uses a small part of a persons natural ability and amplifies it to change the area around it. " She turned her back to him trying to hide the truth to the machine.

 

Stolen tech from the Fallen of old. Combining some of there abilities the parents of the Fallen made this machine to help them harness their powers. She couldn't let J know what it really was. They wouldn't understand yet. Spinning on her toes she turned back to face her face beaming.

 

"An easy way to look at it is that whatever you want can be created by this machine. Just like that beast behind you."

 

Out of thin air a beast appeared behind J. Extremely large in size and resembling a warthog the best snorted causing dust to fly around the two Mystics. Melody pushed off the ground and back flipped into a near by tree. Taking a seat

she looked down at scene below.

 

"You can only harm it with you powers. Your training begins now." She shouted down at him.

J blinked as he nodded at the explanation. "Alright, I'll keep this in mind~" He smiled warmly at the woman once again as he chuckled to himself. This was pretty incredible - and really, really magical... He liked that. Well, not the last sentence of Melody's explanation.

 

His eyes widened as he quickly turned around and nearly fell down at the sight of the seemingly furious beast. He took a bit of a shaky step back, yet it seemed to anger the beast even more as it let out something close to a growl - it was too little to say that J was scared. He was terrified! The biggest animal he'd seen was in a zoo... Well, he was screwed now, that was for sure.

 

"What the hell am I supposed to do?!?" J nearly yelled out at the blonde who seemed damn pleased with all this. "You didn't tell me anything! How am I supposed to start?!?"

"Deep within you own heart are words. Words you were too scared to speak. Believe in those words and yourself. Let the water flow. Water is all around us. Let the storm rage on. Only when the storm starts can you learn to control it."

 

She cocked her head and winked at him.

 

"Well he is looking pretty angry maybe a defensive move maybe in order. Maybe try making a shield of some sort. Just concentrate."

J let out an angry mumble as he gulped down nervously. Well, if he didn't try, he was going to die - even if he looked like a fool while trying this, it might be a better choice than letting the beast stomp him to death. Breathing in deeply, the tall male stared into thr beast's eyes as he tried to relax a bit, then dive into the depths of his mind - a place he'd forgotten about, a place he never dared to visit.

 

Slowly, he felt a spart of weird energy and small drops of water rose around him - and that was it. J was far too slow - the best launched itself to him and in defence, the man raised his hands up quickly - yet the beast never touched them. His eyes went wide as he saw the beast trapped in what seemed to be a thin layer of water. "Uhh... I...." J found himself at a loss of words as he stared at the creature. "What the hell?!?"

"Well don't stop there. It maybe all make believe in here but this make believe will still kill you if you don't kill him. Come on J YOU'RE the Mystic of Water. You going to let a little beast like that kill you?" Melody mocked him hoping that would cause a true storm within him.

J's eyebrow twitched in slight irritation as he breathed out softly and glanced at Melody. "That isn't exactly helping, sweetheart." He mocked back- though his was more of a teasing. Still, the man took in a deep breath and turned back to thr beast as his green eyes showed something that was rarely seen in them - something close to anger... But not quite yet. The man began searching for the same energy and, once he'd found it, he tried to make the surrounding water a bit thicker - yet instead he created something close to a wave which made him jump back. "That's not what I wanted!!" He complained.

Flicking her wrist Melody stopped the wave before it had time to form.

 

"Okay the storm is good but now you found that rage you need too learn to control it. Take all the anger you have found and find something that calms that rage. Something that will dissipate the anger and fill you with love and joy. Learning to combine those together in one thought, turning that thought into words and finally those words into a simple movement. Once you have learnt that you are in total control."

 

Flicking her wrist again Melody moved the wave away from the beast and J and disposed of it in the corner.

 

"Try again sweetie."
