Doctor Kay
Haruo shrugged. "Ready as I'll ever be, I guess." He had lost what Seraphina was talking about yet again, but figured that going with her was his best option right now. Better than staying around here where it was dangerous, even with his new powers. "So how does this work?" he asked. "I mean, having to store this 'fire essence' that I apparently have" hoping he wasn't irritating Seraphina with his constant questioning.
Nyuchanxx
She sighed, this was really starting to get complicated and she didn't like it when that happened, she would much rather just watch over things as was her job and occasionally save a soul from damnation with her powers. That didn't happen often but sometimes she would take pity on a soul and not allow it to be sent to Laktos, the being was evil and while she did have some interesting discussions with him while she returned home she did not wonder how he got the job of necromancer. Shaking her head she stood up s strait and grabbed Haruo's hand saying "I'll explain it all later once you get an item but until then you'll have to wait, now hold on and don't let go.... Heaven forbid you get flung into the Kalco vortex!" She muttered the last bit sarcastically before reaching up to her earring playing with it slightly until a soft glow surrounded the two of them. Doctor Kay
Haruo took a sudden step back when the glow appeared, tearing his hand out of Seraphina's grip. "What on earth do you think you're doing??" he exclaimed. He assumed the light was dangerous, he was used to living in dark conditions and never saw much light so this took him by surprise. He then realised what Seraphina had said about not letting go and quickly forced himself to step back into the circle of glowing light, hoping he hadn't messed up what appeared to him to be some sort of ritual. He noticed the scowl on Seraphina's face and apologised. "I'm sorry" he began, in a sincere voice. "I'm just not used to seeing things like this and got a little scared." Nyuchanxx
Seraphina glared hard at Haruo as his hand was yank from her own. Scowling she released the ring, letting the energy dissipate back into the earth, if she had continued it would undoubtedly do some damage to Haruo if not her as well. Annoyed she gripped his his wrist tightly, probably blocking the majority of his blood flow in the process, but he would live. Reaching her free hand back up to the earing she growled out "You try that again and i shall leave you here to die a slow painful death as the energy slips out of you!" she snarkily stated as she took a deep breath and focus her power back to the earing. The glowing surrounded them again, quickly turning to heartless flames that engulfed the two of them. Suddenly the ground dripped from beneath them and Seraphina shut her eyes focusing on keeping them on track, standing on the fire that licked at their ankles. Then the land was once again under their feet, but now it was a hard, rocky surface that fluctuated in level. She released both her hands allowing the fire to dissipate back into the ground from whence it originally came. The place they now stood was a featureless scape, rock ground with a small track to their left. She turned and walked towards the rock starting her way to the walled city that stood a few hundred metres before them. The light was fading and she knew that they would shut the gates as soon as the sun set.
Doctor Kay
After all that had happened to him so far, it was a surprise that Haruo was still trying to figure out what was going on. He looked ahead of him and saw nothing but miles upon miles of rocky landscape, stretching all the way out to the horizon. He stood there for a few seconds, absorbing the sight and wondering where on earth they were, that was, if they were still on earth. He turned around and noticed that Seraphina had started walking away from him. "Wait a second!" he shouted. He now started hinting a tone of anger in his voice. "I'm fed up of this! Fed up of how you keep expecting me to know what's going on!" his voice increasing in volume. He didn't care, it wasn't like there was anybody around to hear him. "I don't even know if I should trust you or not after what you've done to me!" he continued, reminiscing about the increased strength and agility he had gained. Nyuchanxx
She turned placing her hands defiantly upon her hips and storming back overato him, encroaching on his personal space she glared at him seething in anger "i dont expect you to know a god damn thing! Your the one who wants to know everything and I don't have the time to tell you right now!!" She was almost yelling at him, she wasn't sure how long the essence she gave him would last and if they were looked out the gates and couldn't get an object they could end up in trouble, well trouble for Haruo not her. "I couldn't give a rats ass whether you choose to trust me or not but have at least the decency yto respect the fact I saved your punny life when it might cost me my current life!! Now choose to follow or not, I don't care!" She yelled as she turned on her heels and stormed of. Her eyeswere ablaze with crimson fire that licked and flickered with menace threatening to explode outwards in a torrent of hatred aimed at the world in general. Doctor Kay
Haruo was now really angry. He just wanted to stay standing there to see what Seraphina's reaction would be. But he decided it would be for the best if he kept with her for now, since he didn't know where he was. He followed, keeping a safe distance of about 10 metres behind her in fear that she would release another outburst on him. He also figured that he could find out more about what was going on when they arrived at the big city he saw in the distance, surrounded by giant white walls which he couldn't judge the size of from this far away.
