Zombie_In_A_Box
Name: Dave Thornton (Both eyes should be blue) Age: 18 Proffesion: Guitarist/Lead singer Personality: Mainly an open guy, completely gives into music, especially when it's a performance. He might seem a bit scary from afar, but once you actually get to know him, he's a nice guy. The sound of a guitar filled the air as a blond male began strumming it. He sighed softly, keeping his eyes closed while humming along, trying to find the right melody. Something seemed a bit off right now... And the practice was in one hour! Dammit, he really had to get a grip - as the lead singer, even more. Sure, Dave asked everybody to put in a lot of time into the band, but... Eh, they were still young. They all had their own problems to take care of, too. With that thought, Dave put his guitar away and stood up, walking straight to a room where some noises could be heard. A small, soft smile appeared on the man's face as he walked up to a dog and leaned down to it, reaching out to pat its head. The dog's name was Trevor - he was a german shepherd... And just a few days ago, he suffered quite a lot. Some car managed to drive in a way one of the tires ran over its paw. Needless to say, Trevor was in a lot of pain since then. He couldn't walk, either. With a sad smile on his face, Dave gently pet his dog and chuckled when it nuzzled into his hand. Really, his dog was more like a cat sometimes... Yet, the blond wasn't able to stay with it for too long. Time passed quickly and he had to rush to the practice - no matter if he wanted it or not (Though it rarely happened that he didn't want to), Dave ran out of his house while carrying the guitar on his back and a small bag in his hand. With only this much, the eighteen-year old ran over the city, the melody playing in his mind over and over again. Alright, he shouldn't forget it for now... The blue-eyed male reached their studio just in time and grinned at the others who were there. "Okay, I'm here, we can start~" He joked with a smile on his face. His blue eyes carefully scanned over the room, as if searching for something... Or maybe, someone. Jared Knox... For some weird reason, the guy seemed to be in his mind a lot more often lately. Dave was really looking forward to seeing him right now, too.
Gatichan
Jared nodded his head in time to the music he could hear over his headphones. He'd been playing the drums since he'd been seven and his parents had got divorced. Back then, his father had won the court custody battle, but it had been pretty much for show and not because he had overly cared much for Jared's well-being. Since his dad had always been flying around the world working, Jared had been left alone by himself a lot, in the care of nannies. Because of this, Jared's relationship to his father wasn't exactly the best, but the one good thing his father had done had been to introduce him to music by giving him his first drum kit. It had been love after the first bang and it had stayed that way since then. Jared liked to squash in as much time as he could inside his father's condominium after school. His father, although he thought Jared was wasting his time instead of "trying to find a decent job", had had a small sound-proof room built into his apartment. That was where Jared liked to jam and perfect his technique. The band he had joined, Requiem, was still pretty new, but he had a good feeling about them. He only hoped that together they would manage to attract the right attention soon and go places. They were four in total- Kevin was their keyboard guy, Jordan their e-bass support, who played some nasty melodies on his guitar. And then, of course, there was Dave Thornton, their lead singer and lead guitarist. Removing his earphones when he saw how late it was, Jared tried to ignore the way his heart beat picked up at the memory of the blue-eyed, blond-haired leader. He'd started to suspect for some months already that he was gay, but when Jared had been introduced to Dave, he'd known for sure. But he guessed that nothing would ever happen between the two of them- they were much too different and anyway, Dave was the kind of guy girls went wild for. And, as he'd already learned, hardly anyone ever paid attention to the drummer in a band. These thoughts turned around and around in his head as he drove on his silver and blue Kawasaki across the city towards the studio where he and the others had arranged to meet. Since Dave had already stressed the importance of practicing a lot, Jared had increased his daily ours inside his home music room. Slapping Jordan and Kevin's hands as he arrived, he sat himself down behind his drum kit, waiting with a quickly beating heart for Dave to finally arrive. When he did and glanced towards him, Jared's breath spiked, but he had to look away, blushing a bit. God, get a grip, he's not into guys, he chided himself, trying to destroy the image in his head of offering to drive Dave home after their practice session on his motorbike. Fat chance that'll ever happen.
Zombie_In_A_Box
Dave blinked as his blue eyes trailed over to Jared. With rather soft steps, he walked closer and bent over to the drummer, gazing at him for a bit before smiling widely. "Hey~ Did you look at the new song?" The blond asked as he looked at the other, humming softly under his nose. Almost always, he sent out the song he'd written to Jared first - the blue-eyed male really trusted the other's opinion and it meant a lot to him if it was actually good. Dave has been writing songs since he was fifteen - around the time he formed his first "band". Then he was pretty much hyperactive, trying to take part everywhere he possibly could. The blond's lips curled into a smile as he remembered about his very first performance with the band - it was a complete failure. The school's microphone wasn't working well so his voice sounded weird.. And awkward, too. He was so nervous back then! Even if they only got to sing one song, it didn't go too well. After all, the guitar fell down on the floor - how, he still had no idea. Smiling, the blond turned to Kevin and tilted his head. "And Kev, how's it going? Everything good?" He asked with a slightly goofy grin while the mentioned male nodded and gave a smile back in return. "Yeah, pretty much. If you weren't late, we would've started already, y'know..." The keybord-player teased slightly and got a nervous chuckle in return. "C'mon, you know what happened, right? With Trevor?" The blue eyes seemed to sadden a bit as he mentioned his injured dog. Instantly, Kevin seemed to tense up a bit. "You should just get a girl to cheer you up... Dammit man, you've got tons of fans! I'm sure one of them would fit your taste, no?" Jordan asked while experimentaly playing a few notes on his guitar. "Now come on, let's not waste any more time. You can find someone later if you want to~" Jared continued and smiled slightly. Well, they all seemed to be quite fond of their leader. Seeing him sad wasn't often - crying even less, but when he did... Mostly he looked like a puppy - you just wanted to play with him until he was happy again... And if one of his fans were to see him like this, he oftenly got some free food. Not that he minded it... Gatichan
Jared cocked his head to the side to listen to the song that Dave had begun to hum. For whatever reason, Dave seemed to usually consult with him first about new songs. Whatever it was, it made Jared feel proud- the drummer wasn’t exactly the first person that came to mind when it came to understanding lyrics and melodies. His fingers twitched, automatically beginning to turn his drumsticks coolly, something he had come to realize seemed to intrigue other when he did. He started to nod- yeah, he liked the melody and started to hit his drum kit in time, adding in a backbeat. He was just about to open his mouth and tell Dave what he thought of the melody when Kevin mentioned Dave’s needing to find a girl to cheer him up. Forcing a smile onto his lips, Jared hold on his drumsticks tightened. Of course- he’d been a fool to even start hoping that anything more than friendship would be possible between him and Dave. As their lead singer laughed and returned to the front, where he always stood with his back to Jared, a million cool responses came to latter’s mind. How’s your puppy doing? I’d really love to see it- do you have a picture of it? So! Cool song- how about we grabbed something to eat after practice and we could put our heads together come up with a song text? I’ll invite you. And how about you came over to my place after that? My old man’s put up a small studio at our place- we could start singing the vocals in and I could worry about the background? Wow! That melody’s phat- where do you keep coming up with such great pieces? Will you date me? I think I’m falling in love with you. Jared groaned, hitting his head against the left cymbals. He was such a klutz. Like hell- he’d never pick up the courage to ask Dave any of those questions, much less invite him to do anything with him, because Dave liked girls anyway and Jared was pretty sure that Kevin, who was a well-known panty chaser, would invite Dave, him and Jordan out to club and then introduce them to some no-doubt pretty girls, but who simply didn’t interest him at all. “Yo, Jared! Whatcha doing? You’re playing out of tact!” Jordan hollered over and Jared blinked, shaking his head. He needed to concentrate on the moment before Dave thought he wasn’t taking practice seriously. Taking in a deep breath, Jared got back into tact and began to play properly, putting his heart into it.
Zombie_In_A_Box
Dave chuckled softly before picking up his guitar. The blond let out another soft hum as he began strumming the instrument - just various chords at first to warm up his fingers. The teen closed his eyes for a while before turning to the others and flashing a wide smile. "Let's start~ Like usual, alright? I wanna see how much time we take up!" And with those words, Dave started playing. It seemed like he was immediately swallowed up by the music... Even only playing his guitar was enough to make him put everything he could into the song. When the blue-eyed male began singing, he had his eyes closed, as if to focuse more on the song than on what was happening around him. It helped him a lot to do this... Everything else beside the music was simply shut off. Only the sounds, the words, the rythm-.. It was off. Dave's playing faltered for a small moment as he realized that Jared was playing a bit out of tact. And it seemed he wasn't the first to notice that... Kevin had already told the drummer about it and after that, the true magic happened. The blond was soon engulfed by the sounds once again as he sang and played the guitar, completely relaxed and without any worries left. Music was what he needed to be happy, everything else was just small details. Dave has been singing since he was four, maybe five. Even in kindergarten he loved to sing those childish songs - they were always so fun! The boy didn't stop even when he was in school. Of course, he was made fun of about it, because the other kids thought it was a bit weird... Oh well, it wasn't anything he couldn't deal with, anyway. Once he started middle school, Dave started to learn how to play the guitar - and also got his first "girlfriend". She was a the same age as he, and she only took a liking to him because of the guitar. It was dumb, really. When the blond 'broke up' with her, she even started crying... And the other day she was clinging onto another boy. Sheesh, he never was able to understand girls fully. And while Dave was thinking, the song came to its end. The blond's voice echoed through the room as he continued singing, trying to do his best about it. He really liked to make everything perfectly when it came to singing or playing - he just couldn't bring himself to do a half-assed job. It wasn't like him at all. Full of energy, the blue-eyed male finished and grinned to himself before turning to the others. "Great!" Was his only comment as he tilted his head, waiting for any comments they maybe had to say to him.
Gatichan
It had been rather embarrassing to have been called out that way, but once he was concentrated, Jared stopped simply playing the drum, but became one with it. As his drum playing rose and mingled with the keyboard, e-bass and Dave’s voice, Jared began to smile. He’d always believed that music was a private pleasure, but ever since he’d begun to play with this band, he’d come to enjoy sharing music even more. And yet again, when the four of them were in sync, the music lifted him up and carried away, leaving him breathless but with a rush of happiness when it came to an end, leaving Dave holding the last note, his strong, rich voice filling the studio. “That was perfect,” Jordan called out and Jared quickly agreed, too hyped up to really articulate it into words. When Dave turned towards him, he smiled, his face flushed. All he was capable of was throwing Dave a thumbs up sign. Only Kevin, the perfectionist in the group, had something to criticize. “You know, maybe we could change the chorus,” he suggested, pulling out the pencil he usually kept behind his left ear as he reached for the music sheet in front of him. “If we changed the flat here and changed the scale to E sharp, it ought to give the song an ethereal touch that should really touch the heart. Everyone know what I’m talking about?” Jared didn’t have such notes, but he stood up and went over to peek over Jordan’s shoulder. Nodding when he saw the changes Kevin made, he hit his drum sticks together and then made everyone start over from a certain point. And really, the song sounded different, but better. “Good job,” he called over, waiting for Dave to say what he thought of the changes. As he watched the other teen, Jared began to fidget, almost missing out which song they were supposed to play next. For the first time, Dave actually turned around and with his hair swinging like that, showing off his profile, Jared thought he looked really handsome. Too bad that he’s into girls. But still, who said that he couldn’t spend a little time with him? What’s so wrong about asking Dave for a ride home? Exactly, nothing. And it won’t give away that you’re gay- it would just be, you know…two guys on a motorbike. Nothing weird, there…right? The remainder of their practice, Jared spent in agony. Not because it was so bad, but because in his mind he was running through a million different outcomes that could occur if he asked Dave to hitch a ride with him and latter would say no. Sweating more than he usually would after a practice, Jared’s heart was thumping all out of tune by the time he stood up, his legs slightly wobbly. As Kevin joked about and chased Jordan around the room with a brand new, silly ring tone, Jared shuffled over to Dave before he completely lost his nerve. “Err…so like…” he began, scratching the back of his neck self-consciously when Dave’s blue, blue eyes gazed into his. “I was wondering…if you…you know…wanted- I mean…needed…a ride back home? I could drive you home- I mean, I have a bike and I could…huh?” he asked, flushing crimson. Oh God- he’d had the ENTIRE practice session to prepare himself for this, but he hadn’t properly come up with what he should say?!
Zombie_In_A_Box
Dave blinked and leaned in closer to Kevin, carefully looking over the changes before letting out a smile. "Great~" He said with a grin as he nodded and chuckled softly when he heard Jared starting to play again. He was really lucky to have such amazing band members... Work with them was fun, and it still paid off! There weren't that many people in the world like this. The blond was more than satisfied with the song that they all played. The changes were only for the better and his blue eyes were sparkling with exitement as he sang, putting all of his heart into the action. It seemed like his fingers had a mind of their own by now - he didn't even think about what he had to play, it just kind of... Happened. His movements were fluent as well as his voice sounded great. Well, pretty much like it always did, but he didn't like to brag too much... Though he definitely could've. It wasn't something that he was going to hide, but he still hated to show off too much. Once the practice ended, Dave stretched and grinned widely, clearly happy with the result they got. As he was putting his guitar into the case, he heard Jared talking to him. The blond turned to face the drummer and chuckled at the red face he had. Jared always seemed so cool, it was kindda weird to see him like this. After hearing what the other had to say, the blue-eyed male grinned widely and nodded. "Thanks, I'd love that~" He said with a smile and put the guitar case on his back, loohis gaze not leaving Jared even for one second. "Hey, look, I'm having a bit of trouble with the new song... Care to help out?" The blond asked while tilting his head. "And also, I can't really leave Trevor alone for now... This is the most I can let myself!" The blond said with slight worry in his eyes. "Is it okay if we discuss it at my place?" The blue-eyed man asked while tilting his head to one side. Really, his dog couldn't even eat on itself right now... Unless it tried to limp there, but Trevor was only a month old! He was still a puppy... Pretty much defenseless, after all.
Gatichan
Jared smiled in relief. Despite his totally messed up question, Dave had accepted! So, even though he felt as if his face were blazing, he guessed that he hadn’t said anything weird at all. That was all the better then. Feeling secure about himself once more, Jared stood up straighter, worry entering his eyes when he heard what Dave was worried about. “Sure, of course. I had a dog two years ago, who was always sick. I know a thing or two about looking after puppy’s. You’re right- he’s still too young to be left alone for too long. We could grab ourselves something to eat and then head over to your place to work on the song and check on Trevor.” “Hey guys,” Jordan announced, slinging an arm around Jared’s shoulders and leaning in close. “You two up for clubbing? I know it’s still not the weekend, but this neat club’s opened up on 35th street and Kev and I were planning on checking it out. think about it,” he waggled his eyebrows comically. “Us four from Requiem, showing up together…the girls, it’s dark, there’ll be nice niches where we could get down and personal with the girls…” he laughed dirtily. I’d rather puke. “Sorry, maybe next time,” Jared stated clear as he fished out his Kawasaki keys and turned them coolly around his right ring finger. “Dave’s got a sick puppy to tend to and I have other plans for tonight anyway. But have fun,” he smiled, shaking hands in the secret way the band members had come up with when they’d begun to jam together. Nodding at Dave, Jared jerked a thumb over his shoulder. “Come on down when you’re ready- I just need to put on my motorcycle gear. My Kawasaki’s waiting out front.” Hurrying into the closest restroom, Jared quickly slipped into his tight-fitting leather protection clothes and kept his red helmet under his left arm. Putting on his black protection gloves as well, he let himself out the restroom. Some teenage girls, who were walking around on a guided tour of the studio, squealed when they caught sight of him. Jared flashed a smile and waved, but exited through a side door- he wasn’t the one all the girls usually went wild over. Hurrying over to fetch his motorcycle, Jared put on his helmet and then made the engine of his sleek Kawasaki roar into life. Riding out front, he came to a perfect stop right in front of Dave. Tossing him the spare helmet he always kept beneath his seat, Jared flipped his visor up. “So…what do you wanna eat?”
Zombie_In_A_Box
Dave smiled as he listened to the drummer talk, nodding at some parts. "Yeah, thanks!" He said with a small chuckle before feeling a hand on his shoulders. The blond chuckled when he heard just what Kevin had to say. "Nah, not today. Imagine your dog with a crushed paw... I don't wanna leave him alone!" The teen whined softly, only for laughs. "Besides, I'm not really up for partying..." He admitted a bit nervously - often he felt as if he had to party because he was the lead singer and all... But that was just a bunch of bullshit. He didn't have to do that just because he was singing, right? Dave chuckled as Jared walked off before mentioning his motorcycle. All the blond did in response was to nod and grin widely. "Well, I'm off then~ As always, tomorrow's a free day for you all, but if you feel like it - feel free to come to me and we can practice~" The blue-eyed male said with a grin while Kevin snickered. "Yeah, have fun with your boyfriend~" The words actually managed to make the blond blush as he stepped back and shook his head. "What're you talking about? Don't say stuff like that out of nowhere!" Dave said with his cheeks red. Just because he was bisexual didn't mean he jumped on everyone... After a while, the singer walked out of the studio where Jared was already waiting for him. With the grin back on his face, Dave caught the helmet and put it on before getting onto the motorcycle behind Jared. "Eat? I dunno, I guess I can just make something~" He chuckled as he fixed the guitar to make sure it wouldn't fall before lightly putting one arm around the drummer's waist. "I hope you don't mind! I'm not really used to riding these~" He laughed and glanced at the side. Good thing none of his fans were here... This would probably make some-.. No, a lot of confusion. And he didn't want that at all...
Gatichan
Jared flipped his visor down so that Dave wouldn’t be able to see his face. “You’re gonna have to hold onto me properly, otherwise you really might fall off. It’s safest if you reach around my waist down here,” he said, patting the area. “Because if you hug me higher up, I’m ticklish,” he warned with a laugh, making the gas pedal of his motorcycle roar to overtone the fact that his laugh had come out a little louder than what he thought was normal. “Where did you live again?” he asked, pretending not to already know the address. Nodding when he’d heard, Jared waited until Dave was properly holding on and then shot off. Driving around on his Kawasaki was one of his other secret passions. Weaving in and out between the cars, trucks and other smaller motorcycles, Jared sped up as fast as he was allowed to, really skimming the velocity limit. He loved to speed about, especially on the highway. But he also knew that sometimes it could be scary for someone who had never driven on a motorbike when their surroundings flashed by too suddenly. And even though he would have run one or two red lights as he usually did, Jared forced himself to drive properly for Dave’s sake. Pulling up in front of Dave’s house, Jared waited until Dave had got off before stepping off himself. Removing his helmet, he ran a hand through his dark hair, looking up at the house with his green eyes. “Nice place,” he commented as he followed Dave up the drive towards the front door. “So where’s your puppy? I could prepare his food for him while you throw us something together,” he offered, trying not to look around so obviously.
Zombie_In_A_Box
Dave blinked and chuckled softly before wrapping his arms where the drummer had showed him to. He held on rather tightly as he laughed softly since the motorcycle moved. Once he heard the question, the blond said the adress loud enough for Jared to hear while holding on tightly. He really didn't want to fall down or anything. It wouldn't be a lot of fun, after all... The whole ride was simply amazing. The blue-eyed male laughed out loud each time he felt the other speeding up, feeling adrenaline rushing through his veins. He wasn't used to this kind of stuff, but man, he was really enjoying it! He'd definitely ask Jared for a ride more often... When the two of them stopped, Dave took a few moments to actually get off the motorcycle, his legs a bit shaky from the previous ride. He took off the helmet and lightly shook his head to free his hair properly and get rid of the diziness. When the blond heard the comment about his house, he grinned and chuckled. "Nah, it's not that amazing... But I'm still lucky to live here alone~" He said happily as he put the helmet away and walked off to the front door while fishing out his keys from the pocket. Slowly, he unlocked the door and stepped inside, letting out a soft hum at the warmth. "Hm? Oh, Trevor... He should be in the living room or in the kitchen. I don't want to keep him outside when he can't even walk properly..." The blond said with a small frown on his face as he took off his shoes and put the guitar away. "Thanks for coming, by the way. It helps me out more than you think~" The teen chuckled before starting to walk towards the kitchen. "Oh, and Trevor's food is behind those door." He said while pointing at a door that lead to a small room. He kept all of the stuff he didn't really need to be seen in there as well.. With a soft hum, the blond stepped into the kitchen and smiled when he spotted his dog laying on a small bed. Its tail immediately began wagging as he spotted his master and the blond walked towards him, crouching down to pet its head. "Did you miss me already?" He asked with a smile, but all he got as an answer was a happy bark and a lick on his nose...
Gatichan
Jared set his helmet carefully down on the central counter inside the kitchen. Everything was so tidy and new. He was a little surprised to hear that Dave lived on his own- what about his parents? Didn’t he have any family? At the sound of the bark, Jared smiled and looked up. “Aw, he’s so cute,” he grinned, hurrying over to crouch down beside Dave so that he could properly see the puppy. The little dog turned towards him interestedly and when Jared offered his hand, the puppy craned his head to sniff at it delicately. For a moment nothing happened, but then the puppy licked his hand as well and his little tail wagged harder. Laughing together with Dave, Jared tenderly picked Trevor up to cuddle him against his chest. Carefully taking a hold of the paw, he made soft noises when the puppy whimpered, probably still feeling the pain. “This does look bad, but I think he’s healing well. He’s very healthy otherwise,” he knew after having looked at the puppy closely. Gently putting him back down in his soft bed, Jared washed his hands. “I’ll get his food ready and fill his water dish as well,” he reassured, hurrying towards the room where the food was kept. After he’d filled the two dishes, Jared placed them down in front of Trevor, quietly talking to the puppy and scratching it behind its ears as it began to eat. Hearing Dave walking around the kitchen as he prepared them something to eat, Jared sat down beside Trevor’s basket to be able to better cuddle the puppy. “So you live here on your own?” he asked, glad for the excuse to watch his friend. He hoped that Dave would open up a bit more about himself. Just then, Trevor barked and Jared laughed. “Excuse me- so you live here together with Trevor?”
Zombie_In_A_Box
Dave glanced up at the other with a somewhat relieved smile. "Really? That's good to hear..." He muttered out when he heard that Trevor's paw was healing well. The blond smiled before standing up and letting out a hum as he walked off to wash his hands. "Thanks, really~" The singer said softly as he heard the other saying that he'd fill up the bowls. Soon Dave had the sleeves of his shirt rolled up as he started cutting some chicken with soft hums leaving his mouth. When he heard Jared come back, he glanced back and smiled before turning back to the food. Dave blinked a few times when he heard the question and nodded with a soft chuckle. "Yeah... I mean, you know that I'm bi, right?" He asked while continuing to cut up the meat. "Well, my parents are really against everyone that isn't straight, so... They got me this house, they pay for it each month, just so I don't die off. Everything else I have to take care of by myself. Not that I mind though~ I'd rather live here with Trevor only, who doesn't give a shit about my sexuality than with someone who'll judge me each time I look at them." A small hint of pain was in the teen's voice as he talked. Honestly, he didn't like talking about this a lot... But, it probably wouldn't hurt if someone like Jared would know. He trusted the drummer, after all.
Gatichan
Dave was bisexual? Jared’s body went hot and cold at the same time. No, he hadn’t known and he also didn’t know what to think of this. On the one hand he was suddenly deliriously happy because it meant that, if by some lucky chance he managed to attract Dave’s attention, the two of them could one day actually become more than simply friends. On the other hand, however, it also meant that he would always have to remain cautious around extremely pretty girls because they could become love opponents. Because he was sensitive, Jared didn’t completely miss the sorrow in Dave’s voice when he spoke about his parents. Continuing to scratch Trevor behind his ears, Jared chewed his bottom lip. “I…kinda know what you mean,” he said quietly. “My mom’s like that. She knows that I’m gay, my old man doesn’t. She’s warned me not to tell him, because if he knew, he’d kick me out his apartment.”
Zombie_In_A_Box
Dave's eyes widened the slightest bit as he heard what Jared said. He was gay? Well, that was a new one for him. The blond let out a small smile when he listened to the drummer talking about his parents. "If you do get kicked out, my house is big enough to fit us both~" He said with a small chuckle as he dumped in some vegetables into the pan along with the meat and began stirring it. "You want anything to drink? I've got some beer in the fridge if you want alcohol~" The blue-eyed male offered with a smile as he reached out and took out two plates, knives and forks for them both. The singer let out a small sigh as he continued to stirr the meat and vegetables around, small hums escaping his mouth. Somehow, it didn't feel wrong to let Jared know he was bisexual. He's had a few boyfriends and girlfriends - he wasn't even a virgin anymore. Though sometimes he wished he was. His first time with a guy ended up with him being sore for more than a day and humiliating pictures shared on the internet. Dave knew they could surface back up at some point... He was just hoping they didn't.
Gatichan
Jared laughed, scratching his neck again. He and Dave living together? He doubted that would work out. The two of them already saw quite a lot of each other due to their being together in a band, but if he were to live with Dave, the other teen would realize the way Jared felt about him after a while. “I might remind you of that offer one day,” he mock-warned with a wistful smile. “Uh, sure. Um, but if you have mineral water, I’d prefer that since I have to drive back later,” he reminded Dave, although the thought of returning to the cold apartment didn’t appeal to him very much. “Can I help you with anything?” he suddenly asked, realizing he’d been doing nothing- what kind of guest was he? Noticing that Dave had a far-away expression on his face, Jared coughed and cleared his throat. There never was a better time than then. “So…bisexual, you said? Have you…had any…serious relationships yet?”
Zombie_In_A_Box
Dave smiled and nodded. "There's some on the table, right there." He said softly as he pointed at the table and a few bottles of mineral water on it. The blond continued to make the food peacefully, lightly shakimg his head at the other's question. "No, just wait a bit more~ I'm almost done." The blue-eyed male said softly as he leaned in closer to the pan, taking in the delicious smell. Yep, almost done! Dave's hands froze for a few moments when he heard the following question. He bit his lip slightly before giving Jared a small nod. "Yeah..." He muttered out as he put in some of the food into both plates, then walked over to the table and put the down along with forks and knives. After some time, the blond looked up at the drummer and let out a small sigh. "Can you not tell anyone about this? I just want to... Kindda get it out of my system." He asked quietly, his usual cheerful self pushed away into some corner for the time being. Really, if Jared was gay, maybe he'd understand all this? Gatichan
Taking a sip from the mineral water, Jared suddenly asked himself if he hadn’t been too direct. Maybe that question had been a little too personal? But he couldn’t help himself- he was really interested in Dave and wanted to know as much as he could about the other teen. And right then was the perfect excuse: the two of them were alone at Dave’s house, they were about to eat- and anyway, if the question wasn’t alright, then Dave would probably say so, Jared was sure. Sniffing at the food- it smelled really delicious, which in turn made Jared’s stomach rumble – Jared leaned back to listen to what Dave had to say about his earlier relationships. His face became serious when he saw just how anxious Dave was. “Hey,” he said, his own voice becoming quiet as he reached over and squeezed Dave’s upper arm. “Sure- of course I’d never tell anyone anything you specifically ask me not to. And…Dave, I mean it- you don’t have to talk about it unless you really want to. But if I can help you, I promise I will. Anything and everything you tell me is safe with me.”
Zombie_In_A_Box
Dave smiled softly and nodded. "Thanks." He said simply before starting to eat, as if to gather his thoughts into one place. With a soft sigh, the blue eyes closed and he bit his lip. "Alright, so, about a year ago I was dating this guy - he seemed really nice and all at first, but... Apparently, he was straight all along. He only agreed to date to humiliate me..." The blond talked quietly, lightly poking his food with the fork. "Anyway, I had my first time with a guy then... It hurt like hell, 'cause he didn't use any preparation at all! But... All the time he was doing that..." There Dave stopped for a bit, his blue eyes now only gazing at his food. "He was also saying some awful stuff about "fags like me". In his words, I was just a whore, desperate for some cock." The blond said quietly and put in another bite if the meat into his mouth. "...He even took pictures and put them on the internet..." Dave muttered out as he almost timidly glanced up at Jared. "Do you think I'm disgusting?" Gatichan
The food was delicious, but Jared was concentrating more on Dave than on anything else. Enthralled, he listened to his band colleague’s story, beginning to clutch his knife tighter the longer he heard. He didn’t like hearing about Dave together with another guy and he also disliked knowing that Dave had lost his virginity to such an assh***, but when Dave glanced up at him shyly, all the anger dissipated as the words actually sank in. “No, of course I don’t think you’re disgusting,” Jared said quietly, sending Dave a lopsided smile. “You must have really been in love with him to have wanted to take such an important step and didn’t even realize that he wasn’t being honest to you. And I’m sorry your first time was so terrible.” And right then, Jared made a mental not in his head to hunt those photos on the internet down, no matter how long it took… “And…I’m the first person you’ve told this to?” he asked gently, taking another bite from the tasty meal. Reaching for his glass of water, Jared smiled carefully. “Why tell me?”
Zombie_In_A_Box
Dave smiled softly at the other while continuing to eat. The blond sniffled softly as he listened to Jared talk, meanwhile eating his food. His breathing hitched the slightest bit when he heard the question and he nodded slightly. "Yeah... You're the only one who got to know this from me... But you're not the only one who knows. The photos are easily reached, after all..." While Dave was saying this, his voice seemed like one of a person who was either crying or about to cry. The other question made Dave bite his lip before actually answering. "I don't even know... You're just someone I thought I could trust... Especially since you're gay, I thought you'd be able to actually understand!" The blond finished a bit louder and looked up at the drummer with small tears gathering in the corners of his eyes. "I didn't want to tell anyone else, because... I was just scared..." He said and slowly lowered his gaze back to the food. Dammit, did he have to just spill all this? Jared probably didn't even want to hear... Gatichan
It wasn’t nice to see Dave so worked up over a mistake that he had made. And even though Jared understood why it was something that weighed on Dace’s chest so hard, it made him angry at the same time that there could be such assh***s out there. He felt very sorry for Dave and when he saw the tears in the band leader’s eyes, he lowered his knife and fork and stood up. “Hey,” he said quietly as he walked around the counter and opening his arms, hugged Dave gently, carefully, not sure if Dave would want this type of comfort. Remorse hit him that he had wanted to take a look at those pictures himself. Okay, so his intentions hadn’t been to laugh at Dave, but to see what his band mate looked like naked, but still, the photos had been taken without Dave’s consent and that was the springing point: it wasn’t right. “Why didn’t you ever tell our manager?” he asked quietly as he softly hugged Dave. “I’m sure he would have helped you take legal action against that guy. I can’t believe you’ve been keeping this a secret to yourself the whole time, suffering by yourself!” he gritted out, narrowing his eyes. “That worthless piece of shit. I swear, if I knew who that guy were, I’d make him pay severely!”
Zombie_In_A_Box
Dave's breathing hitched for a bit as he felt the drummer hugging him. It didn't take long for the blond to lean into the other's touch while lightly gripping onto Jared's shirt, sniffling softly. He took in the smell of the taller male - the muscular scent just seemed like Jared so much... It was enjoyable and even something more, but Dave didn't know what. “...I didn't tell anyone because it's humiliating enough to know that the pictures exist... I don't want for people to see them as well. I don't want their pity...“ The blond said quietly as he lightly nuzzled his head into the other's chest. “Say... Can you stay here tonight?“ Dave asked quietly, clearly unsure about the invitation. “I.... I don't want to be alone, not now...“
Gatichan
Jared felt Dave’s hands tightening on his jacket and his heart began to beat faster. Breathing in deeply, he liked the manly scent that came from Dave, as well as the shampoo he used for his hair. Mixed together, he smelled like sunshine and summer together. And he fit perfectly in his arms. For a moment, Jared closed his eyes and leaned his head against Dave’s, allowing himself to imagine what it would feel like to always hold Dave that way. When Dave quietly asked him to stay overnight, something caught in Jared’s throat. It was something he hadn’t believed would ever happen and now that it had, it was bittersweet. It didn’t mean the same thing for him and Dave, but still, nothing was going to make him say no. Letting go of Dave carefully before the situation could become awkward, Jared smiled gently. “Sure I can. Let me just drive home to fetch some overnight clothes or…could you lend me some clothes for the night?”
