Arata scrutinized the man as he stated his age and for the first time he realized that although Rezso had a sturdy build, the youthful features of his countenance were ones that betrayed his near 30 years. More to that, the man gave him an unconscious sensation of someone who has witnessed a lot of dire sights throughout his life, which was probably why Arata thought the man was older in the first place. Not long after Rezso's prompt answer, Arata felt the man's impatient movements under the table. He glanced at him curiously, thinking whether or not the short exchange of lines between them already made Rezso grow bored. 'Well, it is not like I didn't expect that to happen.' Arata was ready to make a comment but the waiter came back, and Arata couldn't help but observe the young features he had. The boy was probably still in his teens. And as he approached nonchalantly their table, he placed before him today's newspaper and repeated his action for the other occupied tables. Arata glanced fugitively at the head title and then remembered the never-ending impatience displayed by Rezso's body language. A slightly devilish smile adorned his face as the perfect revenge plan was rapidly forming in his mind. "I have a great idea of what we can do next. There is a 3 kilometer marathon going on in downtown and anyone is free to participate." Arata stated, skimming the first page for further information regarding the hour and exact location. The smile deepened as he realized they could make it in time. "Rezso, I challenge you." 'Have I ever mentioned that I am an addicted gambler?' Arata commented in his mind. "If I have a better placement that yours in the run, then you have to do whatever I want. If it is the other way around, then I will have to listen to you." Arata tried to conceal his already victorious smile. Although the past year he led a pretty sedentary life, he still remained the best runner in high school and college. Although Rezso stroke him as the athletic type, Arata was certain that this was a bet that he was sure to win. Arata licked his thin lips after finishing the last piece of meat and with a swift movement of his hand he called the waiter, requesting the bill. He payed shortly afterwards and then directed his attention back to Rezso. "So? What do you make of my challenge?"

Rezso immediately pushed his wolf's thoughts out of the picture before it can make snide remarks that he won't like at all. Staring at Arata, he never imagined that the guy would start having a bet with him. The thought that their conversation held quite a tension prove him wrong. He labeled Arata as relaxed guy. No matter how intimidating he was, Arata could make a conversation flow smoothly. Not like Rezso obliged to participate at the latter's conversation. He pegged him as a guy who can interact with another human with an ease; totally opposite of him. A marathon was what his wolf wanted; aside from shredding his clothes and ran to the forest. It wasn't a bad idea at all, knowing that he'd lack some action that could fire his wolf when he's on a chase. A marathon would suffice, he thought. Leaning at his knuckles, he stared at Arata with a passion close to a rival. Wolves like the chase, Arata should know that but he wasn't in for a fact the Rezso was one. A wolfish smile almost appeared at his mouth but Rezso completely covered it with his right hand. He was ascertain that he could win the race without sweating. Even without his freakish werewolf abilities he could win a race as simple as that. Arata had it coming.... In an impulse, Rezso stood from his chair and pushed it back. Now he'd remembered, he needed to call a certain someone to deliver him his reliable centurion cards. He didn't like the idea of his mate spending money to him when it was the other way around. --Mate. Quite a contradicting spark almost ignite in his mind. He didn't like the idea of gradually accepting the faith the moon goddess had offered him. Tsk. "Game on." He replied with a boyish grin that can make all ladies drop their panties. And all he can ever think about was the ongoing marathon. The hunters might still be searching for him but he can handle them with ease. That problem goes to his later journal, he won't deal with the hunter episode-- --not when he's with Arata.
