Name: Xavier Lakes

Age: 25

Position: seme

Personality: A real sweet heart which undoubtedly makes him a unintentional -but willing- lady's man. He's charming and quite the sweet talker but he's an honest one -only giving compliments to the deserving and keeping his mouth shut otherwise.

Almost everything bores him quite easily. It has been a bad trait of his since childhood. He would get bored with his toys then but now he got bored with his relationships and therefore always ends up hurting his partner unintentionally when he suddenly breaks up with them. And for that reason he is slightly paranoid that karma is gonna bite him in the butt, when he truly falls in love with someone they'll do the same to him as he had one to others.

Appearance:

Background: His father disappeared when he was five, leaving his mother to fend for them both. Years later when he was about 10, they moved from his home town when his mother was offered a better job, he had left behind his precious little friend who he had promised to protect till the ends of time. He even got carried away saying that he would marry little Ethan.

Tragedy hit two years later...precisely the time when his mother died and his memory slate was wiped clean. He forgot everything in his past 12 years of life, only the fright of a blazing, furious fire remained in his consciousness. Said fire had taken his mother away from him.

Xavier's Apartment, 12:55 am

The sound of thunder jolted the sweating blonde from his dream. It didn't even sound appropriate calling that REM sleep induced images a dream but neither was it a nightmare. He wouldn't chance calling it lost memories either seeing as he was at a lost in that area. They occurred every night and each time it was the same.

He would be standing there watching his mother burn to ashes in the livid flames of Tartarus. Not the literal Tartarus but that was just how his mind had played it out to appear because in truth it was his hell. That one scene from his unknown past was his eternal plague. It made him feel like a murderer with a conscience and that in its own way was as painful as it was paradoxical. He would have been lying if he said that it didn't bother him. It was pointless to deny those memories the open pathway to the direction they were trying to lead him in. And that was precisely why he was returning to a place he had only seen in albums from his forgotten life. He believed that the answer to his continuous swirl of confusion lied there.

The Airport, 9:37 am

'Flight 2a going to Idaho ready to depart..I repeat, flight 2a heading to Idaho is ready to depart...'

As soon as the announcement reached his ears he sighed and and got up from his seat. Well it's now or never...i'm really going back..home...hmm, Bedford, Idaho. I wounder what it'll be like?

Name: Ethan Crane

Age: 19

Position: Uke

Personality: Ethan is very quiet and tends to be shy around strangers..and other people in general. He is very kindhearted and receptive when he opens up to others, something that rarely happens as a result of his best, childhood friend disappearing when he was younger; vanishing like he never existed. Because of this, he doesn't speak very often, causing him to have a lack of friends. He mostly keeps to himself, trying not to be noticed by anyone; a ghost in the shadows.

Appearance:

kawaii-shy-anime-boy.jpg?w=474

Background: He grew up with both of his parents, living a mediocre life. As a child, he was very bubbly and out-going, often called hyper-active as he was never able to sit still nor keep his mouth shut. He was never alone. Ethan would always be seen with the older, blonde boy, Xavier. At no point in time were these two separated, despite the six year age difference. Xavier was simply his kindred spirit. However, that one day changed Ethan's whole life; it shaped him into a completely different person. His whole world crumbled when Xavier left him, to fend for himself against the others, who never seemed to understand him. He could still hear his mother's voice ringing through his head, explaining to him that his best friend was gone. He changed after that, being more quiet and reserved.

It was around 1:05 am. Not a sound could be heard throughout the Cranes' house. The medium-sized structure was void of any human presences, except for Ethan himself. A single light could be seen through his bedroom window, which stood open. From the window's view, his slightly hunched silhouette was visible, accompanied by the warm glow of his desk lamp. The only sounds that could be heard were the distant 'hoots' of the owls, the soft rustles of paper and the rapid strokes of his pencil against the crisp sheet of paper.

It was happening to him again. No matter how hard he tried to get the blonde-haired boy out of his head, he failed. Images of his childhood..of Xavier, kept haunting him, replaying in his mind like a broken tape, over..and over again. Sometimes Ethan would sit and really think about him. Millions of questions raced around his head as he sat at his desk, the motion of his hand slowly coming to a halt. I wonder if I'll ever see him again...Does he..Does he even remember me?

He chewed on his lower lip, a habit he had developed over the years. He stood from his chair, rubbing his eyes a soft yawn breaking the silence. He turned off the lamp, his room shrouded in darkness as he made his way over to the bed. He laid down, clearing his mind of Xavier as he closed his eyes, falling into a dreamless sleep.

A carefully polished leather-clad foot stepped out of the cab followed by its twin. His bag hung off one shoulder as he used his right hand to remove his signature no-frame blue shades. Deep brown eyes bordering on burgundy, took in the sights of his destination. Nothing there seemed familiar. Not the smalls shops, cozy-looking homes nor the amazing view of the flower fields and mountains. He felt that it all should have been familiar but it just wasn't and that only further frustrated him.

He cricked his neck as he stepped through the door to the lobby of the hotel he would be staying at. It was nothing fancy. It had just enough decoration to be elegant and plush, comfortable furniture lining various corners signifying the waiting areas. Still taking in his surroundings he made his way to the front desk. The receptionist gave him a funny look as he requested his room...location, keys and all. He smiled at her. What? If you know you got it flaunt it.

Only minutes later he was tipping the bellboy and closing the door to his temporary residence until he found a new place in Bedford. It just so happened that his move wasn't entirely miscellaneous for the purpose of finding out his lost past and all. He had gotten a job there too, as a professor for the newest university in the area. He had made sure to secure his expenses and living before his move. What, you thought that he didn't thoroughly plan it? Psh.

After a steaming hot shower in his en suite bathroom, he collapsed in the large double bed in the centre of his room -towel still loosely wrapped around his sturdy frame and all. He scanned through his next day mentally. Let's see, arrive at the university at 9:00...first class is at 10:00...check out affordable , suitable apartments at 4:00...look around town for about an hour and return here to rest up, make an appropriate lesson plan for all my classes and, what am I forgetting?...Oh, eat.. He fell asleep in that same position, tired from the long and rather boring flight. Though coming from him, that didn't mean much.

A few rays of sunlight streamed through his window, falling in bright, thin strips, which seemed to frame his face. The boy's lilac orbs fluttered open, the light beckoning him from his peaceful slumber. Ethan sat up slowly, his dark, brown hair falling in messy strands into his face. He yawned softly before reaching over to his nightstand on the right side of his bed, and retrieving his black-framed glasses. He glanced up at the clock on his wall, sighing when he realized it was around half past 8. Knowing he wouldn't be able to fall asleep again, he got out of bed, finding no harm in starting his Sunday a bit earlier than usual.

After completing his morning ritual and dressing himself appropriately, Ethan decided to get some breakfast, then start cleaning the house, which would in fact, take him the entire day. This would keep him busy, both mentally and physically. He chewed on his bottom lip as he slowly made his way downstairs and into the kitchen. He peered into the cupboards above the stove, pulling out a box of 'Frosted Flakes' after getting a bowl and some milk from the refrigerator. After making his cereal, Ethan sat on the counter, shoving spoon fulls of the food into his mouth in an attempt to distract himself from the raging thoughts that ran wild in his head.

Upon finishing breakfast, the boy washed the dishes and started the strenuous task of cleaning the house. He started in the living room, slowly making his way throughout the entire house. As he cleaned, thoughts of his childhood threatened to resurface, only causing him to work faster. He didn't want to think about that right now. Not about the sick excuses he called his parents and definitely not Xavier. He gritted his teeth, leaning on the dining table that was now almost spotless. Keep it together.. You're losing it again.. Shaking his head, he resumed his work.

As predicted, Ethan's task took him all day. Exhausted, he trudged back upstairs and into the bathroom, stripping down and taking a hot shower. After cleaning himself, he re-dressed himself and made his way back into his room. Too tired to think, Ethan switched out the lights and plopped down on his bed, sleep consuming his mind once again.

  • 2 weeks later...

It was already Monday and he was already in his first class for the day...a philosophy class he remembered. The few students filing in looked at him, scrutinizing him from head to toe. Some of the girls peeked at him in between their conversations and blushed before turning away. Even some of the boys partook in that activity. He sighed and straightened the items on his desk, making sure everything was in order. Sitting at his desk, he glanced at his watch and pulled out the syllabus he was given prior to arriving to class. He resigned himself to memorising it before class started in the next 20 minutes or so.

Ethan had woken up late. He woke up groggily, stumbling out of bed when he realized that he had to be inside his classroom in fifteen minutes. He quickly went to the bathroom, taking a quick shower and brushing his teeth. After getting dressed into a light peach over-sized sweater and a pair of dark blue jeans , he stuffed his papers into his bag, hurrying downstairs and towards his front door. He slipped on some shoes, quickly closing the door and racing down the street to catch a bus. He was surprised to see that one was actually there. He panted softly, sitting down in an empty seat. He leaned his forehead against the window, knowing that he was going to be late for his first class. On top of that, he had heard that they were getting a knew professor today. Being late would not only draw attention to himself, but give his teacher a bad reputation of himself. He was already 10 minutes late when he walked into the classroom, head down and cheeks flushed.

Finally at the end of introductions of both his students and himself, he went around his desk to begin teaching. As soon as he walked back to his position in front of the desk, the door opened to reveal a young man who looked barely legal. A cute yet stunning creature all at once. His very demeanor was shy down to the way he opened the door and the uncertain steps he took. He was rather plain looking to be honest but he had a distinct aura around him that triggered familiarity. As if this person was one who he was supposed to know his entire life.

"Good morning, I am Xavier Lakes and I will be your philosophy teacher for this semester" He raised his hand and looked down at his watch doing it more for show than for anything else seeing as he checked the time only a minute before."You're quite late for the first day of class aren't you Mr.....?" After receiving his name, he smiled to show that he meant no harm and would not chastise him for being tardy this time. "We were just at the end of introductions...everyone gave their names, likes, dislikes and...other information" here he coughed as he referred to the young lady who had offered her cell phone number in the introductions. The went on in light chuckles as the little blonde girl blushed more out of anger than embarrassment. "Now I would like you to do the same Mr.Evans"

Ethan stood, uncomfortably at the front of the room, his eyes trained on the floor. He shifted slightly in his spot, the attention from all the students and most definitely his teacher, making him want to regurgitate all of the food he had eaten the previous day. He nervously pulled down the sleeves of his sweater, adjusting his book bag on his shoulder before finally averting his gaze from the floor and up towards the man in front of him. He studied than blonde's face, his heartbeat quickening as images of his old friend flashed before him. He quickly dismissed the thoughts, his cheeks flushing a bright red color as he realized he had been staring.

"G-Good morning, Sir," he muttered softly, his voice barely audible above the deafening silence. "I-I'm truly sorry about being l-late," he shifted uncomfortably once again, his cheeks burning a darker shade of red. "Crane..my name is E-Ethan Crane." All he wanted to do was take a seat at the back of the class, a place where the judgmental looks would not reach him, a place where he wouldn't feel as...vulnerable. He sighed softly before lifting his gaze to the man who bared a striking resemblance to the boy he had desperately tried to forget. "I suppose I l-like being alone, r-reading..and the rain," his eyes drifted to the window, a ghost of a smile appearing on his lips as he watched the raindrops drip down the clear glass. "My d-dislikes aren't very important," he ended, his smile fading completely as he looked down again. In a matter of minutes, this man had caused him to speak more than he had in months. His seemingly permanent blush started to fade as he stood silently, waiting for permission to be seated.

He was outright staring at the the adorable creature before him to the point of it being very rude but he didn't care. That boy...there was just something about him. Not only the way he looked but also the way he spoke and the manner he spoke in. Almost as if the striking male before him had no self-esteem whatsoever. It didn't matter-whatever it was that made him feel so drawn to the lad- because if only a glimpse could ignite such interest in an easily bored man such as himself then certainly he would want to know more of the little bunny-like creature in front of him. The bunny reference did him too much justice he supposed for he looked frightened of the very ground he walked upon. But that was just coming from his perspective.

"Mr.Crane was it? I apologise for that slip up earlier." He said referring to calling him the wrong name just minutes before. His eyes scanned the room looking for a seat closest to him where he could effortlessly keep a good watch on the shy boy. "How about you sit there now...you need to stay close to the front if you wish to not miss a detail in my class" He smirked almost playfully and pointed to the seat which sat at he corner of the class closest to his desk, right at the front.

"Now then. Let's begin"

Ethan gazed at the man as he spoke, his mind instantly making connections with HIS Xavier. He shook his head slightly, tearing his gaze away from his..beautiful face, something that proved to be a challenge. A light pink blush dusted his cheeks when he realized he hadn't been listening to a word his teacher had said. Ethan looked in the direction the said man was pointing, spotting an empty seat closer to his own desk. With a small nod of his head, Ethan quickly made his way to his now assigned seat.

He sighed internally, his hopes of getting a seat at the back, crushed. Honestly, he felt uncomfortable. Left out in the open for roaming eyes to scrutinize. Ethan reached into his bag, pulling out a notebook and a blue ink pen. He was silent throughout most of the class, occasionally taking notes. He found it quite hard to concentrate, his mind playing tricks on him, making ridiculous comparisons to his forgotten friend. He brushed his fingers through his hair, biting down on his bottom lip once again, trying to focus.
