He felt out of place here, he would admit. In the midst of a human school, a human college, he was the only one different. He knew that from the moment he decided he would go here and hide who he was, that he didn't belong here. They all knew so much more about this world than he did. In fact it was a miracle that he had even gotten into this school in the first place...

His name was Kuro, and he wasn't a human to begin with. He was a demon, of the dark element to be exact. And to say the least, he wasn't really liked by anyone even if they didn't know. He normally found himself alone because he had never had friends before. He didn't know how to make friends, even though he really wanted friends.... And that really bugged him. He sighed a little bit as he sat down for lunch and looked around a little bit. He sat under a tree and watched others walk by talking and smiling. He wondered what it was like to have a friend...

Fai busted out laughing as his best friend, Niko, missed the soccer ball and fell flat on his face. Not even trying to control his laughter, Fai ran out onto the feild with a bottle of water and a rag. Quickly tossing the bottol of water and rag at his friend he leaned back on his heals, digging the cleats into the ground and spoke, laughter in his voice. "You know, soccer is a simple game. You see a ball, and you kick it. I do belive you missed a step." Laughing a bit more he watched as the other climbed to his feet and playfully punched him in the shoulder.

The whistle sounded, signalling the end of practice, to which Fai quickly retreated from the field and began to pack up his gear. He had always been a rather quiet boy, very much into the arts, but due to the begging and prodding of his friends he had agreed to join the soccer team. Slinging his back pack over his shoulder he began walking to the cafe hall, he had no classes today, but came to support the others during practice. His car was in the shop and the next bus was not schedualed for another hour, so he would have to find some way to occupy his time. He stopped when he noticed a person sitting by themselves, there was a time when he was just like that, sitting by himself, looking out at the world like a bird trapped in a cage. So, against his better judgement he changed the direction of his walk and made his way for the other boy, he'd always been a bit strange so doing things such as this was not exactly unusual for him. Stopping right in front of him, he spoke, "Hey." He said simply, holding out his hand for the other individual to shake it. Smiling softly at the man he added, "I'm Fai, you are?"

Kuro didn't believe it when he heard someone talking to him. He looked up quickly at the other, and he was truly surprised. He seemed to hesitate for a moment, not sure how to respond before he carefully spoke. "Kuro....my name is Kuro." He swallowed a little bit, hoping this person didn't mind the fact that his voice was somewhat scratchy... He rubbed his arm a little bit, wondering if someone put Fai up to this, and told him to interact with him...because honestly he couldn't imagine why someone would be talking with him. It happened like this before too, a bet was made to talk to him and then they laughed. He was used to it, so he was cautious when it came to talking with other people. Maybe I shouldn't have been so hasty as to actually agree to go to a human school...I probably should have listened to Mum and gone to a school where I didn't have to be afraid of what I was... He thought to himself.

Fai watched the others confused, almost frightened expression. Was the other man okay, or maybe he was sick? There was something off about him, though it certainly could not be placed. Kuro seemed like such an unusual name, though somehow it really did fit the person sitting on the ground beneath him. "Kuro, huh? That is an unusual name, you must not be from around here then? He looked around, seeing if anyone else was planning on sitting with the other boy, and seeing no one, he decided to move over slightly, and take a seat as well. "Well, my bus won't be here for another hour, so mind if I sit with you until then? Unless you have somewhere else you have to be?" As he spoke he stretched out against the tree he was currently leaning against, slipping off his cleats and allowing his feet to breathe. "How come you are sitting here all by yourself by the way?" He inquired while fishing his water bottle out from his bag.

"...yeah I'm not exactly from around here...." Kuro responded softly and sighed a little bit to himself. He closed his eyes for a moment before realizing the other sat down and he opened them again. He blinked a few times then shook his head a little bit. "It's fine....I was just going to sit here anyways so I don't mind." He put his hands on the table then and glanced at the other. He's a strange one... He thought then to himself before he leaned back a little bit and looked up. "I don't have friends or anything like that." He responded then. "...normally people ignore me or they pretend like I don't exist. They don't like me so I normally am always alone." Not like it matters...I don't think demons and humans should get along anyways.... He closed his eyes and laid his head down.
