I found this poem my friend had written in her journal that I now have. She was hit by a car in February and died at the hospital. She had written this about me. I don't care that it is about me, but it is the beautiful words that touch my heart, So here it is.....

 

 

She touches the hearts of all those around her

Taking in the simplicity of life

Never can one turn their back on her

And expect to breathe right again

She puts a smile upon my face

When my eyes are filled with tears

Taking any pain and sorrow away

And leaving nothing more than joy

Can I say that I love her?

Am I blessed to have her around?

Yes is how I would answer

I scream it from the highest mountain

She is my best friend

My closest companion

Without her guidance

I would still remain lost

Letting the world drown me

She can always be found

With her arms wide open

A safe house for me

My sister for life

God has let an angel free

I would dye if I lost her

Please let me go first

I would die with happiness

 

 

The last part of this poem gets to me because she did pass away before me. May her soul rest in peace.......
