Guiding Star (Ryo-kun and Clover)

[Ryo-kun]

Kairus noddes and headed over to the truck and geabbed a few more heavy things and carried them to the front door setting them down. "Open the door for me." He grabbed a couple boxes in his arms getting ready to head inside.

Hayashi opened up the door for his boyfriend before going to the truck to get more things. Even though this was winter break, the weather didn't seem very wintery at all. In fact, the scenery still looked like that of a normal autumn day despite their break being well into the first month of winter. Maybe it would snow in a few days. He secretly hoped that it would so he could sit by Kairus and watch TV while the roads were being treated.

Kairus took the boxes and things up to the master bedroom where there was a king sized bed and two closets for the both of them if Hayashi wanted to use one of them of course. He started to hang up his clothes and then put the rest in a drawer in the big dresser beside the window,he smiled to himself thinking of them living together.. But would Hayashi do that? He shook his head and then headed downstairs to help him unpack the rest of their belongings staying most silent and that wasn't like Kairus but he was only thinking to himself and didn't wish to speak about it because he didn't want to have his boyfriend jump to conclusions.

Hayashi brought the last of the items into the house. He saw that Kairus was taking things upstairs, presumably to the guest bedrooms. The entire house was new to him, so he didn't know if there were guest bedrooms. He noticed that Kairus wasn't as talkative as he normally was as well. Seeing that made him stop what he was doing to watch him. What was going on? Did something come up suddenly? When Kairus came back, he gently tapped his friend's shoulder.

 

"You okay? You've been really quiet all of a sudden." he said.

[Ryo-kun]

Kairus looked at him and smiled softly at hin before grabbing his hand and pulling him close. He chuckled softly at him and nodded, he felt better but wanted to see if Hayashi would care. "Would you like to share a room with me? The bed is big enough and your new to my house.."

Hayashi's face turned a little red. He wasn't expecting that to be his question. Though he would've preferred to be in a separate room, he knew that being in the same bedroom would make Kairus happiest. But what if he tried something funny while he was sleeping? He wasn't too sure of what was going to happen, but you never really knew until you tried, right?

 

"Sure. I think it would be more convenient that way." Hayashi responded.

Kairus smiled and turned to head back to fold up more clothes and place things where they needed to be and listened to what Hayashi had to say but heard nothing. Once he had finished placing things in the proper place he walked down to the kitchen to prepare a nice dinner for the two but never asked Hayashi what he wanted. He started to prepare a nice chicken with broccolli and stuffing,it would be about an hour or two before it would be done so he had to go and do something to pass time.

Hayashi began to move his things up to Kairus's room, putting his clothes in the dresser not being used. As he unpacked he heard the sounds of dinner being made. He could only wonder what kind of cook Kairus was and hoped that he was at least competent in that area, especially since he was never asked what he wanted. As he finished unpacking, he went to the kitchen, taking his socks off.

 

"What are you making?" he asked.

Kairus was about to leave the kitchen when he spotted Hayashi walking in,he smiled and stepped closer to him and took his hand. "I am making some chicken and broccolli with some stuffing. I hope that is alright? I should have asked but right now I only have chicken,if you would like something else I can drive to the store" He watched his boyfriend quietly after telling him what he was making,he hoped Hayashi would accept it.

"That's fine. I'll eat what you're making." Hayashi said, trying to be a polite guest. He knew he'd be here for a while, so he had to make a good impression. At some point, he wanted to cook (or try something else) for Kairus to at least repay him for letting him stay. He pulled out a chair from the dinner table and sat down.

"Do you want to go to the convenience store tomorrow?" he asked.

Kairus smiled and turned his gaze back onto the food that was cooking and gave a small but yet deep sigh as he watched the food. Was Hayashi only being polite? Or was he really okay with it,either way he would have to make it up to him at some point to show him he truly did care about his opinion. "Sure. I need to get more food anyways. Maybe you can get some foods you like so you aren't always having to deal with mine,if you don't like it" He teased and gave a soft chuckle.

"Don't just assume I won't like it. Let me try it first!" Hayashi said, a little annoyed. He didn't want to be a burden on Kairus by forcing him to make things he might not be comfortable making. Sure, he wanted to be a good guest, but in reality, he just thought it was stupid to not eat when someone offered him food.

"Is it going to be done soon?" he asked.

"Relax a little Yashi I was only teasing but I guess I'm not allowed to joke around" Kairus narrowed his eyes at him then faced the food sighing. He turned it off after a few more minutes of cooking, then grabbed a plate for him and Hayashi placing the others on the table. "It's all set. Go ahead" He moved aside and leaned on the wall allowing Hayashi to get his food. "Sorry for being uptight, I'm just joking and teasing dear. Go ahead and feast" He blushed.

"All right! Thanks for the food!" Hayashi said, putting some food on his plate and eating happily. It tasted unexpectedly good, especially considering both of them were still in the university. Then again, Kairus was a couple years older than him and on his way to graduation, so maybe he had more experience living on his own and not relying on terrible cafeteria food for sustenance. He kept eating, and before he knew it, the food before him was gone much quicker than he expected.

"I really liked it." Hayashi commented. "Do you cook often?"

Kairus watched him eat for a few minutes before he himself began eating the food. He was eating at a steady pace, not having much on the plate but within a few moments he was finished. Then he heard Hayashi ask a question, so he shrugged his shoulders slightly then made a face. "Not as often as I should. Only when I want a nice meal I will cook other wise I just eat what is already cooked and heat it up" He chuckled, and thought to himself 'to be honest he was really only cooking to please Hayashi so he would be more comfortable around him'

"So you still heat up food huh? I don't blame you. It's too hard to cook, since college kitchens aren't exactly high quality or clean. If I cook, I find that I spend more time cleaning the appliances than I do actually cooking anything." Hayashi said with a slight chuckle. This didn't seem so bad so far. Kairus did do a good job of keeping his hands to himself for all of this time. He almost felt bad that he was giving up so much and having to employ so much self control just to have Hayashi stay here. Once Kairus was done, he took their dirty plates and put them in the sink to wash.

"What time is it now? I fell asleep in the truck and lost track of time." he called over as he washed the plates.

[Ryo-kun]

"Yeah most of the time. But I cook meals if I gave guests like you, or family if they bother to come here" Karius watched his lover pick up the plate and take them to be cleaned. He stood up and walked over grabbing a cloth, and dipped it into the soapy water before cleaning off the table. He leaned against the wall, and smiled softly. "About 10:30 at night. Why? You ready to go to bed?" He asked curiously before walking towards Hayashi and leaning on the counter watching closer.

"Yeah. I'm kinda tired." Hayashi yawned. "Thanks for the meal."

Hayashi finished washing the dishes, turning the water off and drying off his hands. He then made his way upstairs and shed his clothes. He took a pair of pajama pants from the wardrobe he was using and put them over his boxers, going into the bathroom to brush his teeth and prepare for bedtime. Once he left the bathroom, he took the right side of the bed and laid down. So far, the vacation had started well, with Kairus being surprisingly tame. He wasn't sure what to expect for the next day, but he had high hopes that this would continue until Hayashi himself said it was okay to be more touchy-feely. A part of him also felt sad that this would be one of the only times he would get to do this, since Kairus was graduating after the next semester ended. Part of him didn't care about that and wanted to give the relationship a chance even if it had to end due to Kairus's post graduate education. But the other part of him was less romantic, saying that this was a little fling to help him get into dating. At this point, Hayashi was trying to be open to the prospect of their relationship blossoming into something more, but he couldn't help but wonder what it would bring.

Kairus watched Hayashi leave, and then he decided to head upstairs as well. He sighed softly as he reached the bedroom door and listened. "Hayashi? Are you decent?" He asked softly not wanting to walk in on the other getting dressed. He then peeked inside and saw him already in bed, so he walked in and right to his closet grabbing his own paJama pants, then went into the bathroom to change and brush his teeth. After he did all that he turned and went to the bed and climbing in on the left side of the bed. Once inside he laid on his side with his back to his lover. He yawned and reached over turning the lights off. "Goodnight Hayashi" He said softly and closed his eyes

The next morning, Hayashi woke up to see Kairus sleeping peacefully next to him. He smiled as he gently ran his hand across his back. When he realized what he was doing, he pulled away, blushing. When did he start becoming touchy-feely? They had only been dating for a short time, and he was already putting a hand on his boyfriend's back while in bed? He was almost shocked at his own behavior, since he expected Kairus to do things like that more often judging from how their relationship began. He then got out of bed, brushed his teeth, and went into the shower. He wondered when Kairus would wake up or if he'd remember the touch.

Kairus soon woke up maybe at least half an hour later and when he sat up he noticed Hayashi was gone,he suddenly felt saddened when he didn't see his boyfriend but knew he might be either cleaning,cooking or taking a shower. He slowly got up off the bed and walked to the closet to get clothes when he heard the shower water running,he smiled and walked towards the bathroom door slowly and then pushed it open a bit. "Hayashi? May I come in and wash my face or would you prefer me to wait?" He asked softly before he started to step into the bathroom not waiting for a reply but he didn't want to upset his lover, and he still had no idea about Hayashi rubbing his back because he didn't even feel it.

"Don't worry about it." Hayashi said, though he wasn't entirely comfortable with the notion. However, he was going to be living with him for the duration of winter break. And that meant they would have to grow comfortable in each other's presences. Considering the way Kairus first acted when around him, he was a little afraid of having his shower interrupted. As the other slowly stepped in, he pretended to busy himself with soaping up his body, though he had just washed his body beforehand.

Kairus turned on the water and grabbed a cloth off the rack, then placed it into the water. He glanced over towards the shower and sighed a little bit, and smiled. "Hayashi you can come out, I won't watch or do anything. I promise." He said softly before putting a little soap on the cloth then started to wash his face. He didn't want to make Hayashi uncomfortable at all, and make him think every time he was around that he was going to touch him. He would wait until Hayashi told him it was alright, he wanted this relationship to work out. He really liked Hayashi and it was hard to refrain from touching him but he managed better than he thought he could.

Reluctantly, Hayashi turned the water off and stepped out carefully, making sure his back was facing Kairus until he grabbed a towel and wrapped it around himself. He rushed out of the bathroom, his face flushed partially from the heat and partially from embarrassment. He quickly threw on a white shirt and some blue sweatpants before heading down to the kitchen to start looking for breakfast foods.

 

"Do you want something for breakfast? I can make you something." Hayashi shouted back upstairs, hoping Kairus could hear him.

[Ryo-kun]

A soft sigh left his esophagus as he waited for Hayashi to leavr so he could finish up. He took the comb to his hair and made his way out into the hallway. "Um some toast and eggs would be nice, but I can cook it" He smiled a little before walking downstairs heading to the kitchen, holding a small box in his hand. "Sweetie? Can we talk a minute.?"
