The Navigator remained quiet, but nodded slightly against the older boy's chest. Their team did need them...but it wouldn't hurt for Vensu to be more caring towards him. Charon had always, in his mind, painted the two of the them as close...at least they were before Orchid came into the picture. May was the oldest, a year older then Ares, so Charon was the youngest at the time, and wasn't so bad tempered. They had similar jobs in the team, and they were supposed to be a team within a team; Tracking and Navigating. They weren't that close...were they? At most their relationship had become one-sided.

"We all love you Charon...so can we get moving please. My baby is in much trouble."

The young demon let go of the angel, and looked away, the burns on his temples showing. "...you're wrong...Areth hateth me...Halo only putth up with me...Orchid ith thared of me, and you...you only care about yourthef and Orchid, and that'th it...the only one that ever cared for me is May...and the's dead, and of you act ath if the never exithted," Charon muttered coldly, bawling up his fists, "Well...fuck you then." The high tempered demonic boy turned his back to Vensu, and began running a head, not even thinking of where he was heading.

OOooOOooOOoo

'Fine...,' Halo thought back, slashing forward with his sword, cutting a chimera clean across the stomach, 'My job anyway...just make sure Orchid stays out of the way then.' He winged around and stabbed another in the chest. Due to his training as the group's fighter the white haired team didn't hold any empathy for his enemies. It was only the good of the team that mattered to him and that's it.

Orchid clung to Ares, tightly, staring at the Chimaras with fear filled eyes.

Vensu frowned at the other's statement, opening his mouth to speak once he thought the navigator was finished. What was said next shut the elder's mouth as a bewildered look washed across his face. The before sentence was enough; albeit he never knew Charon to say such rude comments toward him if not anyone else.

Well...fuck you then."[/Quote]

Darkly colored orbs watched as the other dashed away from him, a loud sigh being released as the tracker hit his palm against his head. Charon was just an emotional wreck, he had to learn how to control that. There was one thing to run behind the young boy and help him once again or tend to his own insecurities to save his little red head. Sighing through his nose, the eldest of the team whispered. "I swear leader Ares....you best protect Orchid with your life." Deciding to chase after the other male.

xXxxxxXxXxxxxXxXxxxxXxXxxxxXx

Ares said nothing, only tightening his arms around the small body. If he was to die, then there was no way that he would lose Orchid as well. Of course Halo was a damn good fighter, but even the best made mistakes. Having the younger hybrid watch after himself and the red head could cause many defense opening; something that the leader didn't want.

This would have been so much fuckin' easier if we didn't have to come here in the first place Halo. You and your damn demanding ways. A weakness to having Ares agree with one would be to use the dark skinned boy against him. His best friend would be the only one he considered doing something for. All else was his decision.

Charon had been running for a while, taking as many hairpin turns as possible. He just wanted to be alone now, and as far away from his team as possible. He then reached it, his destination, their cell. The dark haired boy unbolted and threw open the heavy, steel door. He quickly ran over to his own bed, and curled up in a ball, pulling the covers up to hide him. Gods...he wished he wasn't here...why did they pick him of all the children in the world to land in this hell? Why were all of them picked? Well, Ares and Halo were obvious, since they were hybrids...but why would they pick him, Orchid and Vensu...and May...there was nothing special about them. He twitched slightly again, and dug his nails deeply into his scalp, pulling slightly at his hair. Maybe...maybe it would have been better the scientist had given him the Holy Water.

OOooOOooOOoo

Halo winced as a chimera dug its claws into his shoulders, and growled, striking back with much force. He knocked another back and raised his sword up high before bringing it down upon the creature. There was a sickening crunching a squishing sound as the hybrid pulled his sword from the enemy's skull. The boy looked around with cold, ice blue eyes, surrounding them was a circle of now dead bodies...this wasn't as much as they normally gave them as a full team...so they just wanted to test them. Logically speaking, in the field they could suddenly loose members, or get scattered...so it was all a test, and, as the Fighter, he passed. He wasn't sure if Ares or Orchid did, though.

Orchid made her way timidly out of Ares' arms, and walked over to Halo, cautiously checking the now closed gates every now and again. The older kid knelt down so that the little girl could reach him, and the young red head began to heal, muttering a soft spell under her breath. She was hurrying, though, afraid that more enemies could come at any second.

Ares glanced up from his position as his orbs traveled after the small red head that was now tending to his best friend. For once the older hybrid was a bit surprised. He had never thought that the scientist would actually release the damned creatures whenever he refused to fight. Guess hybrids wasn't that much of a prized possession any longer; or possible the men in white coats knew something more than he hadn't.

"DAMN YOU ALL! FUCK DO YOU THINK? THIS ISN'T ENTERTAINING NOR IS IT HEALTHY. YOU CAN'T JUST THROW AWAY LIVES LIKE THAT DAMMIT!" Ares cursed, praying for a change. It's not fair. The leader finished as he hung his head. Ares was just ready to return to their cage of a room. Life as a prisoner couldn't get any worse.

"Calm your nerves leader Ares, your partners is ok. I do, however, want to reward Halo for doing such a superb job of protecting you. How would you like to be promoted into another unit Halo. It is our most powerful group...they are only missing a fighter." At that, the green hair whipped around as Ares snapped his head up to glance to the younger hybrid. Halo wouldn't actually leave him not would be. Don't you even think about it. The elder male spoke, the thoughts surfacing into the other's mind.

XxxXxxXxxXxxXxxXxxXxxXxxXxxX

Vensu watched as the navigator engulfed himself in blankets, hiding himself from the outside world. This was difficult enough, let alone now having to deal with the emotional damage that was now surfacing within Charon. Rolling his eyes, the tracker stood at the door with a sneer. "We don't have time for this dammit. Listen....I'm leaving you here to check on our teammates. There is nothing I can possible say to change your mind. So, I'll leave you to your thoughts." Stepping away from the door.

'Never...don't worry Ares, I'd never abandon the team,' The younger hybrid thought sincerely to the other though the link, 'I will never leave you.' Halo glared over his shoulder with icy blue eyes at the scientists, giving them a firm shake of the head in the negative. He turned quickly back to his teammates, he slid his sword back into it's sheath, hearing the automatic click as the weapon was locked from his grasp again, and stood up. Orchid stumbled back a little, but the older boy steadied her with a firm hand on her shoulder. He began to walk for the door, leading the small red head with him and gestured for Ares to follow; the needed to check on the condition of their team and it didn't matter to him that he was hurt.

The young half angel held onto the Fighter's hand tightly, glad that one of her brother's wasn't leaving them. She couldn't wait to get back to their cell...at least they had a sense of safety there.

OOooOOooOOoo

Charon winced at the other's harsh words, and buried his face into his hard pillow. A small sob escaped his lips and he shook slightly. Crimson eyes squeezed shut as tears trailed down his cheeks. Gods, why did when ever he opened his mouth he screw something up? He was actually jealous of Halo...he didn't have to worry about what he said since he couldn't speak...he wised he couldn't speak. He'd be way more happy if he just couldn't speak. Right then and there a bit of the outspoken, resilient spirit inside the young demon was broken, smashed to a thousand pieces.

  • 2 weeks later...

Vensu stopped in his trail to check on his other teammates to once again retrace his steps to stare to Charon. True the blue haired male had love for his little red head, but he was sure that both Ares and Halo protected her with their life. Protected her even more better than themselves, and now Charon needed support. With yet another view of the smaller teen, Vensu could tell that he was hurt. A sigh escaped the trackers lips as he approached the bed.

"Will you accept an apology? I wasn't being mean, but....if you believe that I don't care about you or the former healer before Orchid.....then what can I possible say to make that change. You have a strong mind, and is utterly stubborn. I doubt I can change your mind. So, I say why try." Frowning deeply with a rollmof his eyes.

xXxxxxxxXxXxxxxxxXxXxxxxxxxXxXx

Ares gave a nod to the white haired, dark skinned beauty as he sluggishly followed the two from the chamber. Ares didn't feel good to having to watch his friend cut down all the chimera; albeit it was a better feeling than having to do so himself.

"I want to thank you Halo. If it wasn't for you...I'd be dead." Smiling widely, although the smile never reached his eyes. The blue orbs was dead and dimmed from no emotions circulating through them.

Charon sniffled underneath the covers, daring to peak out a little at Vensu. He was at a dilemma...he really wanted to believe Vensu, but his own stubborn nature was getting in the way; once he believed something it tended to stay in his head. He twitched slightly against his own will, an after affect of the experiment just pulled on him, and another thing now wrong with him. He couldn't help the slight twitching as he sat up, staring up at the older teen for a moment, about to reply, but was interrupted by the door opening and their other team members entering the room. He closed his mouth an stared down at his lap, watching his fingers twitch slightly and his hands shake of their own accord.

Orchid ran into the room, and almost immediately hugged her favorite brother, Vensu, around the waist. "I was so worried 'bout you guys! Why did they take Charon? Are you both all right?" The young Healer asked rapidly, bright eyes wide as she looked up at he angel.

"I want to thank you Halo. If it wasn't for you...I'd be dead."

Halo nodded slightly, and smiled a little at the slightly taller teen, but the frowned; he didn't like the look in Ares' eyes. Before they followed Orchid into their containment unit the white haired boy stopped short, grabbing the other's arm to stop him as well. It was very rare for the cold Fighter to show any affection, even to his team, so what he did next was a little out of character. He pulled the other hybrid into a tight hug. After a few second he pulled back and patted Ares on the cheek lightly, before placing a light kiss on the older's cheek; he had read that it was a sign of endearment and affection between family, lovers and close friends, so he thought, why not. He pulled back and followed their youngest teammate into the room, ready to lay down after such a fight.

Ares stood, startled and in shock. How could the dark-skinned fighter pull such a trick. Blue orbs glancing up; the only sight the leader encountered was the retreating figure of the one of said shocking affection. "Idiot." The green haired teen said lightly, crossing his arms across his chest as he entered the room.

Once inside, the elder hybrid took notice to Charon's body language. It had a sign of discomfort and hurt. "Oh geez! What's wrong now Mr. Emotional." The second eldest of the five voiced, raising a brow at the other. He was aware that the smaller male had been taken captive, but Ares strongly thought nothing happened; especially since the help of Vensu.

The tracker glanced toward the navigator once more, taking a breath and hugging Orchid to his chest. "Uh, yeah...I think it's best if you just leave Charon alone. He doesn't feel too well; plus, he thinks your an annoying bastard. So if you would please mind your own business, that would help leader Ares."

Not taking orders lightly, a laugh was given. One that vibrated the walls with an echo. "Me, mind my own business? Hmph, says the snooping tracker. You're more experienced in peeking in on other's business more than myself or your owns. So take your preaching as a lesson." Ares argued back, shaking his head as he plopped onto his bed.

"I'll be sleep..."

Charon glared weakly at their Leader, and sighed, looking back down at his twitching hands, wincing slightly as his hair brushed his burnt temples. Sometimes he really hated Ares...he was so arrogant...and, to his opinion, not a good Leader at all. It always seemed to him, and his beliefs before the team, so that annoyed the navigator greatly. "Fuck you...," The demon snarled at the hybrid, glaring darkly. He hated this...he was always the butt of the joke for everyone. He was the emotional one, and since he wasn't cute and young like Orchid, he was often the odd one out, so he hated it! He hated it so fucking much. Unknowingly the shadows behind him began to twitch a little, but it was hardly noticeable. He laid back down and pulled the covers over his head again, blocking out the world.

'Stop being such a child Ares...if you took the time and looked at Charon you would have noticed he has burns on his head, and he's twitching a lot,' The white haired Fighter chided through the link, as he laid down on his own bed. Halo had always be extremely observant when it came to his team...he cared about everyone in the team like family, so he liked to make sure everyone was all right.

Orchid frown from her place in Vensu's arms. She hated when the people she loved were fighting and there was nothing she could do about it. She never got why the Navigator and Leader hated each other so much...their team, they should all care about each other.

Ares gave a brief glance to the one he considered his best friend. He knew that Halo had always been the observant this, and for the other to state such an occurrence, then it must have been true. A heavy sigh was released, the leader groaning as he to covered his head with the comforters.

I apologize, I wasn't paying much attention. Dammit Halo, I'm not fucking perfect. It's been too stressful for me today, and I crack under pressure. I need to release my stress somehow, and I'm not saying that teasing Charon is the right way, but I can't help it.

Vensu glanced at the three that was currently lodging on their bed with an exhausted look. Orchid had to endure such behavior and it upset him. Now, the dark eyed boy didn't say that he himself wasn't also a part of the conflict with arguments; albeit he krew sure that Ares was the main problem.

"How can we possible be a fucking team when we can't stop arguing for one second. Charon was injured slightly; and it would be nice for once if you actually showed concern leader Ares. You never do. It causes disruption." The tracker announced with a heavy glare.

What happened next was shocking, the green haired teen cackled loudly, as if the previous sentence was a joke; albeit Vensu was unsure of the real reason. It didn't take long for the blue eyed teen to fire his own comment.

"Oh, so I'm the one that ignores him, huh? The one that doesn't observe him enough. The source of his problems?"

"That isn't what I meant. I-"

"Oh shut the fuck up! You're the one that hurts him the most dammit! You give little Orchid all your attention and never distribute any to anyone else. A guy that is unaware that Charon has a HUGE crush...no...that Charon is madly in love with you. It's not hard to see. The guy practically begs for your attention; yet....he never receives it. Have you ever wondered why he doesn't favor your little....prize as much." Switching out the girls name or anything else that describes her, hoping that the small child wouldn't guess the prize was her. "It's because it gets everything he wants."

Due to the sentences flowing out the leader's mouth, the blue haired teen was rendered speechless. He was unsure of what to say.

"Oh shut the fuck up! You're the one that hurts him the most dammit! You give little Orchid all your attention and never distribute any to anyone else. A guy that is unaware that Chario has a HUGE crush...no...that Charon is madly in love with you. It's not hard to see. The guy practically begs for your attention; yet....he never receives it. Have you ever wondered why he doesn't favor your little....prize as much. It's because it gets everything he wants."

Halo, and Orchid both had identical looks of shock at their leader's words. This...this was just a major fight waiting to happen. This was not the right way to go about things. Orchid wasn't stupid, she knew he was talking about her, but didn't say anything...not wanting to let on about her hurt feeling, lest it start a bigger fight.

Charon let out an animalistic snarl from under the covers, "THUT THE FUCK UP YOU POMPOUS FAILURE OF A LEADER! JUST THUT THE FUCK UP!!" He shouted as loud as he could manage without his voice cracking. The shadows behind his bed started to move and twitch more noticeably, swishing along the walls like tendrils. This was just getting bad and Charon couldn't control it.

Ares stared shocked at the other, mouth opening to give a response but it quickly shut after seeing the shadow of Charon's figure mutate into that of tendrils. What the hell was happening at this moment in time?

Halo, what the fuck is going on? Something isn't right here. You need to be alert. Either Charon is unlocking a power of his to hurt me, or this is a power that the kid can't control. Be. On. Alert. The leader communicated through the link of their minds. The green haired teen was aware that the navigator was quite pissed; although he wondered if he should provoke the other more.

Vensu quickly stepped back, Orchid being clutched in his grip. "Charon...wh-what the hell is happening? Are you ok? I...think that maybe you should calm down." Wrapping his wings around the small red head to protect her from any harm. Everyone was unaware of the damage that could happen at this point.

"Charon...wh-what the hell is happening? Are you ok? I...think that maybe you should calm down."

The smaller kid just growled animalistcly in response, crimson eyes glowing slightly. He was about to attack, hell, he wanted to attack, to rip them all apart with his bare hands. They all upset him so much, and hate him, so why shouldn't he?

'Fight...kill...rip them apart...you were destined too...'

'No...protect...family...most important thing...'

His viscous growling turned to screaming, and trashing in his bed as he gripped at his head, tugging hair roughly with his own fists. All demons had instincts, but young ones couldn't handle their confusing onslaught upon their psyche, so, they only normally awakened around the time of sixteen...Charon was eleven. Protect, kill, protect, kill, both were fighting for dominance in his mind, and his head felt as if it was about to split open. Oh gods, was he going to die?! The shadows whipped frantically on the walls, responding to their master's emotions. Being shocked by the scientist must have did something to him really bad.

Halo's icy eyes widened drastically as he watched Charon. Being a hybrid he was taught about the instincts and what they did, since the scientists didn't know whether or not he and Ares would get them. 'Fuck...we need to calm him down...now Ares! I don't know how, but he's getting his instincts way too early,' The younger explained quickly through their link. The Fighter had gotten up swiftly, and removed the sheathed sword from his back. Yes, it was still locked, so he couldn't use the actual blade to defend them, he could at least knock the younger out if they couldn't calm him down.

Calm him? What can we possible do to receive such a emotion. It's not like the little creep will listen to me. Maybe Vensu could help. That's out best chance." Glancing over at the tracker, giving a nudge with his chin, wanting the elder teen to perform something to calm their outrageous teammate.

Vensu frowned when getting the signal, his wings wrapping more securely around Orchid. The male was unsure of the outcome but he would at least try. The emotional boy was a comrade after all. Inhaling a deep breath, the eldest of the four males pushed the red head girl to the side, stepping slowly and cautiously toward Charon.

"Listen here Charon, you need to get a hold of yourself. Find a way to clear all of your anger. We all care for you no matter how much you think we don't. We wouldn't want anything to happen to you. Do you hear me?" He asked, eyes squinting as he was now in arms reach of the smaller teen. With a hesitant step, Vensu reached out his arm to touch the other. "Charon, do you hear me?" Voice calm with a hint of indifference.

Orchid, after being released by Vensu, ran over to hide nervously by Ares, scared of what their Navigator might do. The demonic energy radiating off of him was rather frightening to the young half-angel. She watched as Halo readied himself, both of them keeping a rather keen eye on the whipping shadows in the background.

Halo rolled his eyes at Ares' response, even though he was trained for this his whole life, the whit haired teen thought that Ares had to learn a lot about being the Leader. A Leader would handle a problem like this himself instead of relying on their Fighter and Tracker to take care of the problem. He would not honor the other with a response.

"Charon, do you hear me?"

As a hand touched him the young Demon flinched, and let out an inhuman growl at the Angel. He heard him...sort of, the other voices were being too loud, with the chorus being added to by other instincts.

'Protect them...protect family!'

'Hurt...kill them all!'

'Strong mate...incubus...this is...nature.'

'Run...they'll kill you...live!'

To protect, fight, mate and live, the four Demonic instincts, the four things that make Demons dangerous, and different than Humans and Angels. Demons had to learn to control these voices, to quiet them, or they could be consumed. They had to find balance, and, him being so young, that balance didn't come naturally at all.

"Too loud! Too loud!" He shouted out, putting his hands over his ears, and curled up into a tight ball, rocking back and forth lightly.

'Ares, take charge Goddamn it! Act like you're Leader, and do your job! Vensu's risking his life doing this, he's an Angel, the instincts could see him as a threat...fuck, an other demon should be doing this, not him,' Halo shouted through the link as shadows slowly started to swallow the light in the room. He readied his sheathed sword, ready to knock Charon out if worse came to worse.

Ares glanced over at Halo with a frown. He could tell that the other wasn't very fond of him at the moment; albeit that was the least of his worries. No need for the fuckin' attitude. I have this. Eyes rolling as he stared to Charon. What could he possible do to make the other calm down? The demon barely liked him, let alone thought of him as a good leader. Ares doubted anyone thought of him as a good leader, and he couldn't agree more. He knew himself that he wasn't the best leader, but his feelings were his feelings; and being a strong-minded person didn't help in the least.

Taking cautious steps toward the emotional kid, Ares now stood beside Vensu with a reaching hand. Hand coming in contact with the fair, smooth skin of the demon's, the leader opened his mouth to speak. "Listen here Charon. What you are experiencing is something that every demon goes through, despite that fact, you are absolutely too young to be in contact with such concepts. I need you to be strong and overcome this. We are family. We won't hurt you. We will always have your back. Without you we won't be complete. Come to us. You have to get through this so that we could one day live a happy life together...." Voice lowering into a whisper. "A life outside these facility walls."

Vensu just stood his ground, dark eyes darting from Charon to the shadow and next to the leader to repeat the sequence again and again.

Charon whimpered like a kicked puppy, flinching slightly at any touch, but those words seemed to penetrate the loud voices. They were family, they were trying to help him, and a happy life...a happy life away from here.

Halo placed his sheathed sword back onto his back, and carefully sat next to the the boy, watching as the shadows slowly calmed and morphed back into the young Navigator's shadow. The hybrid carefully gathered the younger boy into his arms, a rare sign of affection from the Fighter, and pulled the demon into his lap. The white haired boy rubbed soothing circles on the eleven year old's upper back, and stroked the other's midnight black hair, careful to be mindful of Charon's curved horns. He most Demonic being in the room, besides Charon himself, willing to do this; he sure as hell knew Ares wouldn't. Soon, the Navigator was out like a light, looking completely exhausted.

Halo gestured to Orchid to go get the med kit, knowing the youngest male in the room had burns that needed treating. Wide-eyed, the little girl hurriedly got the requested thing, though she was a bit nervous about approaching Charon. She hopped up on the bed beside her two teammates, and the dark skinned boy moved Charon's hair aside from his temple so that she could begin treatment. The tint red head almost jumped when the small demon flinched as she applied disinfectant, but other than that she worked diligently.

The room was silent, no one speaking a word. This, of course, made the second eldest male utterly uncomfortable; albeit he would use such situations to his advantage. With a sigh escaping his nose, Ares took silent steps back to his bed, slowly edging onto the satin sheets to get himself some rest as well. Today had been emotionally exhausting for him and he just wanted to forget most of the things said or done. --This is crazy. How will we ever become closer to escape this place? I just hope that we could one day.

--Time Skip-- Vensu, Ares, Halo-18 ; Charon-16 ; Orchid-13

Vensu sighed as he stretched the gloves over his arms. The leader had commanded him to keep a look out for the men in white coats, and that was exactly what be would do. Ares was planning an escape plan, and it needed to be perfected; that, however, could only be completed if a scientist was unaware of the maps, which was in the process of being created.

"You owe me big time leader Ares. I could be killed here."

"Yeah, yeah just hurry." A nod was given as Vensu climbed through the air vent. That was the only way out of the locked shitholes that were called their rooms.

Halo sat down next to Ares on one of the many beds. 'How is the plan coming along?' He thought through the link, glancing over at the other with ice blue eyes. The hybrid was normally the calm one, but the risk of this plan was making him a bit frazzled. The maps were nearly done, and their escaped attempt would be within the week, so with the time limit coming to a close the Fighter was frantic, working between Ares, Charon and Vansu, trying to make sure they got along well enough. The dark skinned teen was self elected peace maker of the group, and keep the very opinionated people from ripping each other's throats out was a hard job. Though he hated to admit it, the job had gotten easier since Charon's incident. Charon wasn't really the same; he wasn't loud and brash about his opinion anymore, no, he was rather quiet, and only talked back when he really disagreed with something. It was kind of sad, and Halo almost missed the demon's lisped shouting.

Charon watched as Vansu climbed up into the air vent nervously, but didn't say anything, just looked back down at the half done map below him. Taking another breath in through his nose, he closed his dark red eye and expanded his senses, slowly using an old pencil to sketch out the halls. Being a Navigator he was taught this skill at a young age, and had been approving ever since. Orchid was sitting beside the dark haired incubus, keeping an eye on both him and the door, knowing that the Navigator's powers rendered him blind and deaf to the outside world, so she'd have to snap him out of it if a scientist approached.

Ares sighed after having to erase a mistake he marked onto the map. With a glance up to Halo, the older hybrid gave a cackle. "I can tell that you are nervous Halo; but there is no need to be. We're going to escape this place today, no matter how long it takes us to perfect this plan." The leader of the group was tired of being in the facility. He was going through with the plan whether it meant death or not. The results would be the same as if he stayed here.

"There is one problem though. As soon as I disarm the locks from the door....well, an alarm will be triggered. It, of course, alert the scientists that there are escapees; which makes us have, hm....about an hour to escape the security walls. Halo, you and I will both travel to the main office to unlock the rest of the locked rooms; helping all of the trapped, caged demons, angels, whatever. Then we'll exit from the window. Our mission is, in fact, the hardest, although our escape route will be much easier. What do you think?"

Halo nodded at the Leader, but asked, 'Where are we going to meet with the rest of our team once we get out?' He was a bit worried about being separated from his team...it was a natural thing he supposed, he had never been without them before. The Fighter deeply cared about his team...they were his family and he'd rather lay down his life than let them die.

Charon blinked a couple times, and picked up the map, looking over what he drew. Sadly, he needed to go to Ares for approval; with the powers of a navigator, one born to make maps and help strategize, he shouldn't need approval from anyone. He didn't want to get on Ares' pissy side, though. Groaning, the gray skinned demon stood to his full height. Surprisingly, the demon had shot up in height over the years, where he was once the smallest boy in the group, now he was one of the tallest, just and inch over Ares, making Halo now the shortest male in the unit. That actually made him feel a little smug every time he thought about it.

He held out his map with a clawed hand, "Did I make any mithtaketh?" He asked, voice a little clipped and restrained, so much unlike how he used to yell, shout and back talk when he was younger.

Orchid watched on from her seat, occasionally glancing at the vent for any sign of her pseudo brother. She was very worried for Vensu, as well as her entire team.

Hm, we won't be seeing the team for more than a day's journey. I told Vensu to lead them all to the outskirts of this town. The others have a straight shot, where as you and I will have to maneuver our way through more paths just to meet them. That isn't too bad though. There is a small town within a twenty mile radius. That is where we will all get our rest and then continue our Journey to the Sacred Lands.

With a sound of russling paper, the leader turned to glance to Charon. The boy was holding out the drawn map for him, one that looked pretty damn accurate. "That's perfect; albeit I need two of those. Halo and I need one for ourself." Giving a quick smile before once again turning around in his seat to finish what he called the Map of Destruction.

A clinging sound bounced from wall to wall as Vensu fell to the floor with a grunt. "Ouch, dammit that's going to leave a bruise. Um, leader Ares the coast is clear, but there is scientist roaming the end halls for some reason. It seems as if something tragic has happened. I'm not sure what though."

"That's perfect; albeit I need two of those. Halo and I need one for ourselves."

"Right," The demon muttered, stuffing his hands into his pockets, and began to walk back to where Orchid was sitting. Halo frowned slightly, following the now quiet and off putting demon; even after years of this behavior the hybrid was still not used to it after so many years of the outspoken, emotional Charon they had known before. Shaking his head slightly, the white haired teen returned his attention to Ares. After hearing the plan the dark skinned boy nodded in agreement, 'Good...glad you got this all figured out. Hopefully everything will go as planned,' The boy thought through the link in a low mutter, trying to erase that uneasy feeling in his gut; he wanted to blame it on nerves, but he had a sixth sense about these types of things...and he felt like something entirely horrible was going to happen...he'd keep this from Ares, though, not wanting to ruin the good vibe the other had going.

Charon looked up as Vensu came tumbling down from the vent, the vibrations interrupting his navigating. The dark haired demon looked as if he wanted to help the other, but held back as Orchid ran over to help the angel up. It had been like this since the incident...he had decided to keep Vensu at an arm's length, not letting him any closer to him least either of them be hurt. He had done the same with nearly everyone in the team, except for Halo, who, since the incident, had been like an older brother to him. Shaking his head slightly, Charon closed his eyes again, and continued on the other map.

Orchid help tug her big brother to his feet, and softly asked, "Are you all right, Ven?"

Vensu smiled lightly at the small girl, ruffling her hair before giving a nod. The eldest teen glanced over to Charon, watching closely to see what the other was doing. The use-to-be emotionally teen, over the years, had became distant and wasn't as clingy as he used to be. Vensu thought that the other had maned up and was utterly proud of him; albeit he was completely clueless of the depression there.

"I'm fne, just a small pain. Anyways...when are we going to kick off this plan leader Ares?"

"Well, whenever Mr. Emotionless gets done with the second map." Turning around in his chair. "You know, it quite funny how we all changed. I growed to be the best leader in the fucking world." A cackle releasing as he continued. "Which I already were. Halo became more logical and may I say quite the attraction. Such a sex symbol." A smile breaking across his face. "Orchid isn't as scary or whiny as she use to be, although that still lingers." Teasing the girl a little before once again continuing his rant. "And...Charon isn't so clingy, annoying, whiny, stubborn, slow, absurd, naive, teasing or emotional anymore. Not as he use to be, and...well...he quite the eye-candy as well...just not my type." Shrugging lightly as he quickly inserted chocolate in his mouth.

Vensu's brow was raised, giving the green haired teen a weird look. "Leader Ares...your attracted to men." He stated, face scrunched a little. The leader just smiled and shrugged. "Yeah, so what."

Halo shook his head in slight amusement at the other's words, well, up until the part about Charon. The demon was like his younger brother, and he didn't take anything said about him lightly. 'Charon wasn't ever slow, just stubborn...he is the Navigator, hence forth part of the tactical side of the team...who knows, maybe he has a higher IQ than you...'oh so gracious Leader',' The hybrid thought through the link, giving the other a raised eyebrow, let some sarcasm show, 'And sex symbol...really? I highly doubt that's what I am.' He sat back a little, crossing his arms, a small smirk appearing on his otherwise emotionless face; he believed he had successfully mixed the teasing of his best friend into the defending of his little brother, so he was rather satisfied.

"Leader Ares...you're attracted to men?"

Halo gave Vensu a look that read, 'Where have you been for the past eighteen years? It's so fucking obvious.' Ares' sexuality was probably absolutely the most obvious aspect about the teen, at least from Halo's point of view. The question even rose a barely audible chuckle from the mute boy, though it was scratchy, and could barely pass for a laugh.

"Orchid isn't as scared or whiny as she use to be, although that still lingers."

Orchid blushed darkly at the older boy's words, and ducked her head shyly, bright red curls obscuring her face. She then preceded to take up her seat next to their working Navigator, ready to warn him again. She was kind of glad he couldn't hear anything right now...she had a feeling he would be quite offended.
