"I don't know where the thigh is." Haruka stated. "Could you look it up while I chop the leeks?"

Haruka wasn't one to ask for help frequently. Especially not when it came to swimming. However, this wasn't the pool, and Haruka wasn't a master of the knife like he was of the freestyle.

"You know where the computer is, right?" he said.

"O-Okay." Makoto answered. He was examining the chicken once again, and he had a hunch that that area was the thigh, but he wasn't so sure about it. "I'll go to the computer then." He said. Makoto went towards the computer and then he turned it on. When the computer finally started up, Makoto noticed that Haruka's desktop was almost near to empty, and that his wallpaper is.. a pool.

Makoto chuckled. "Haru, really." He murmured to himself. He clicked the fastest browser installed in Haru's PC, and then he went to a searching site and typed in 'Chicken Thigh'. He then saw various images of chicken thighs. "So I was right about my hunch." He said. He was about to leave the PC until he had an idea.

"How about I search for some cheap vacation places?" He thought to himself. He then searched the said idea on the internet.

"Go ahead." Haruka said. "But could you tell me where I should cut to get the most of the thigh meat first?"

Haruka wasn't the type to outwardly care much about what others did with his stuff. As long as it wasn't broken, and it was used properly, he was fine with it.

"Also, we need to figure out what to do with the rest of the chicken." Haruka added.

"Oh, sorry." Makoto said as he stood up and went to the kitchen. Makoto then pointed out the thigh area. "Haru, this is the thigh according to the images I saw in the web." He said as he smiled. "I think the internet would give us more information than that cookbook." Makoto added. "I suggest we watch a video about it on YT."

Carefully, Haruka cut the chicken's thighs off and began trimming the fat. He then cubed the meat and put it in the sauce directly, mixing it in to make sure every piece was coated in sauce. After letting it sit for a while, he looked for a grill and remembered that his parents kept the grill outside.

"Makoto, when you're done looking up vacation sites, could you soak some bamboo skewers?" Haru asked. "Once the skewers are ready, I'll go outside and grill them."

"Sure!" Makoto replied as he went back to the computer and then searched over the web for some vacation sites. He tried to look at some places within the country first. Almost everything was expensive even if it's just in Japan. "I wonder how Rei and Nagisa had the budget to go to Okinawa.." Makoto thought to himself as he saw some offers in Okinawa, which was truly expensive.

He then stumbled upon a site where he saw some nice vacation places with affordable packages. The places were within the country so it made it better. The packages weren't as expensive as what he saw a while ago, so he immediately called Haruka. "Haru, come here for a second. I saw a website with cheap vacation packages." He called out.

"Hn?" Haruka turned and walked over to the monitor. He made sure to turn the heat off on the sauce so that it wouldn't burn. His thoughts briefly went to Rei and Nagisa as he wondered what kinds of far-fetched calculations Rei had to do to get a good deal on a trip to Okinawa.

"Find anything good?" He asked.

"Check these out, Haru!" Makoto happily said as he pointed to the monitor screen. "I found some cheap packages for vacation stays inside the country!" Makoto added. "There's this package on Hokkaido, specifically in Hakodate. We can take a tour around the city and go to Mount Hakodate! And we can take a look on Onuma Park!" Makoto said as he pointed the package price by the cursor.

"I think we could afford this. Oh, and there's still a lot more places other than Hokkaido." Makoto then stood up from the chair. "Here, scroll it down. Maybe you'll find something interesting, like some provinces with.. pools?" Makoto suggested as he smiled like a dork.

Haruka went over to his friend and scrolled down before going back to the offer Makoto pulled up.

"It's definitely the cheapest one that's listed. And the hotel we'd be staying at does have a large pool." Haruka said. "I'm a little surprised that it's so cheap... I can't help but wonder why."

"Hmm, maybe because they wanted to boost their customers? It's the same thing with Rei and Nagisa's case. Okinawa is far and it is truly a tourist spot so of course the facilities there are expensive." Makoto answered. "Anyway, you want to try it? Since it's cheap, we can move to other places when we're left unsatisfied." He added with his usual smile.

"I doubt that we'll be unsatisfied." Haruka said. "There's a lot to do around where we'll be staying."

Haruka mostly meant swimming, but he knew that Makoto liked having new sites to see, so his interest in other places would have to be fulfilled at some point.

"If you want to move to other places, you have to arrange it." Haruka said.

"But considering that it's cheap, people will make use of that package and there'll be many customers. Probably they wouldn't give their services to us well." Makoto answered as he scratched his head. "Mah, I'll try to look for some alternatives if it does happen. Leave that to me." Makoto added. He did hope that it'll be satisfying and not disappointing.

Haruka simply nodded. He went over to soak some bamboo skewers.

"Let me know if you find any other good offers. I'd like that the hotel have a pool and gym." Haruka said. "I'd still like for us to train a little."

Haruka left the bamboo skewers for a while to check on the chicken. It looked okay. After a while, he took the chicken out to the grill.

"Do you want to grill some of the chicken or keep looking?" Haruka asked.

"Okay." Makoto replied. He was about to sit down back on the chair until Haruka asked him whether he'd want to grill or keep on searching. "Er, I guess, I'll help you by grilling." Makoto answered as he went towards the kitchen. "Where are the Grilling utensils?" Makoto asked as he leaned on the counter.

"The skewers are soaking over to the side. I'm taking the chicken and leeks outside to the grill." Haruka said. "Grab the skewers and spear at least 4 pieces of chicken and a couple pieces of leek in between them on each one."

He started to heat up the grill.

"Roger that." Makoto happily answered. Finally, he got to help Haruka already. He did as what he was instructed to. He picked the skewers one by one and on each of them, he speared four pieces of chicken following the pattern of adding pieces of leek in between. He was having fun, to be honest. It's been such a while since he took part of making a food.

Haruka took the finished skewers and put them on the grill. He looked towards Makoto, who seemed to be keeping up nicely.

"You're doing a good job." he said as he turned back to check on the chicken. He turned the skewers on the grill over to cook the other side.

Makoto smiled and then he sat on the wooden floor. "It's rare for you to compliment me, Haru." Makoto teased as he chuckled. "Thank you." He flashed his usual smile and watched Haruka as he was grilling. The house was quiet, and Makoto wasn't really used to it. He had siblings and his mother and father are always at home. He looked behind and saw the empty house that emits a feeling of... loneliness.

"Haru.." Makoto called out as he placed a serious expression. "When you're lonely, just make use of your phone and call me, okay?" He said out of a sudden and smiled at Haru.

"Makoto..." Haruka said, almost thoughtfully at that. Though his face would never show it, Haruka occasionally did feel lonely. It was those days that he'd usually sit in the tub all day in his swimsuit, leaving only to eat or cook. He wondered what it would be like traveling with Makoto.

"I will. Thanks." he said in reply to Makoto's previous statement. "While we eat, we should take another look at the packages and put together an itinerary."

Makoto just smiled. He was right about thinking that Haruka had his times where he was lonely. Makoto was glad that he offered that. Haruka was surprisingly being honest to him. He thought that maybe Haruka would deny it. He was glad that Haruka agreed. "Let's do that." He answered. "Shall I prepare the bowls and chopsticks?" He asked. It was the least he could do.

Haruka only nodded and took the skewers off the grill and onto a serving plate. He brought them back into the house and set them down on the table. Even he was unsure as to why he felt so comfortable being honest with Makoto. The two of them were friends from childhood, so it may have something to do with that. Deciding not to think much on it, Haruka sat down at the table. He raised an eyebrow as Makoto suggested getting plates.

"What would you need bowls for? I think plates would be better." Haruka said.

"Eh? You use plate for your rice?" Makoto surprisingly said as he was about to pick the small-sized bowls. "I never use plates. Western-style dining isn't really familiar to me." He added as he sat across Haruka. "Oh well. I guess I should give it a try

" He then used the plate. He placed a serve of rice on it, and then he said "Itadakimasu!"

"I do use bowls for the rice, but the chicken, I'd prefer to eat off of a plate. I don't really care how food gets eaten. As long as it gets eaten, I'm fine with it." Haruka said, serving himself rice and chicken. He liked the flavor of the chicken, but wasn't entirely satisfied, true to most perfectionistic chefs.

"How did the chicken come out?" he asked.

Makoto nodded as he giggled. It's Haru alright. "I guess you make a point." He replied. "But I'll use the bowl." Makoto served one bowl of rice for his own and then he picked the chicken using his chopsticks. He bit a small portion to see how it tastes like and answer Haruka's question. "It's.. delicious!" He answered with a delighted face. "I never knew your cooking is still on the high-level when it's not a Mackerel dish." Makoto teased, as he chewed the chicken.

Haruka's expression didn't change. He simply nodded ate some of his rice.

"You think they'll sell well?" he asked, eating some of the leeks. "I really hope we can go on this trip soon."
