After chuckling at her brother's antics, Anni got really sleepy all of a sudden. She blamed the blazing sun that shone on her pelt and warmed it up quite nicely. Adding her pups and mate's warmth, she was wrapped into an imaginary blanket. And with her mind at ease for the moment too, she decided to take a little nap until they would get their food. Fay and Mink were sleeping as well so she didn't have to worry about them for the moment.

She laid down her head and her eyes closed. It was a relaxed face and soon she drifted off.

Kudo sniffed at the hotdog stand an only got a glare and a 'tsk' from the owner. He did not do anything though, since the little girl was with him. But something happened that he wouldn't have counted with. The girl bought hotdogs, one in each hand. But she was so small, how can she eat two? The leash was around her wrist, loosely since she couldn't hold it with the two hotdogs.

They arrived at a bank and the dog sat down instantly. Without realizing his tail started to wag when he saw the delicious treat in front of him. And the wagging got harder when he received said food. Out of gratitude and joy, he let loose a loud bark and carefully took the hotdog. It was still hot so he had to lay it on his front paws to eat it. It was really delicious; it wasn't like any food he had before. It could even par with the deer meat he got to eat in the wild. And the warmth heated up his body quite nicely.

Buanna tossed a glance at the cuddled up wolves next to him and sat up, his face slightly troubled. Now that he started thinking about Kudo, he couldn't stop. The wolf walked over to find some shade where he layed back down, staring up into the sky. He'd been thinking about getting back a lot lately - what else was there to do? Now that Anni and her pups were asleep, he had no better activity... Or so he thought.

The silverette didn't notice when he closed his eyes, but when he opened them again, he was staring up at a curious little wolf cub - not one of Anni's. The wolf offered the younger a lop-sided grin before sitting up. "What's wrong?" He muttered, reaching out to ruffle his-hers?-hair. His hand didn't reach it, though, as the pup drew back in confusion mixed with fear. No one was coming to get it... Was this one of those unfortunate pups that were taken away from their families?

Amber had begun giggling again, watching how happy the dog was to receive its treat. She grinned widely and lightly patted its head. "Enjoy~" She giggled once more before taking a big bite of her own hotdog. The girl closed her eyes, swaying her legs since they didn't quite reach the ground - she was too small. Her head began nodding from one side to the other as she hummed softly, a smile staying on her face all the time.

"Come on, let's go now!" Amber suddenly decided, already having finished her snack. She tossed out the papers and tugged Kudo closer to herself. "Let's go home, I want some real food." She giggled, beginning to walk towards her house's direction.

It's been weeks now since her arrival here. She didn't know why she was brought here and she didn't know how she got here either. She just remembered playing outside the dens and next thing she knew, she was sound asleep. After opening her eyes for the first time she noticed that she was alone, alone under other wolves that she didn't know. The first few weeks she hid away from them and only took little remains from the food now and then. But she cried more often than not. She was alone, she missed her family.

So when another wolf got tossed in, smelling like earth and the leaves of the forest, she was curious. Was he like herself? If so, maybe he will understand and help her find her parents. So when she was sure that he was alone and in a good mood, she got closer. The other laughed earlier and was play fighting with the grey female so she was sure that he was in a good mood. When she got close enough she just stared. Was the other asleep? She couldn't ask him if he was so she got closer. Until he opened his eyes.

The little female took a few steps back and shrunk back when the other reached for her? Was he a bad wolf? Like the others? They always bullied her in here, was he the same? But he stopped and looked around. "Alone...." she whispered, answering the other. The silver wolf probably looked for her family but they weren't here. She was alone.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kudo continued to eat but he averted his eyes now and then to the little girl. She was cute in a way and Kudo wouldn't mind playing with her for a bit longer. If he had lived another life that is. Buanna waited for him and no matter how he liked the nice girl, the other had priority. The dog loved him after all. It did hurt him a bit, she would probably sad when he was gone but she would manage. She could make other friends and soon enough she would forget him. That was how it should be after all.

When both of them were done, they stood up and headed back to the house. It was still around noon, so Kudo wanted to explore a bit more but the leash reminded him of the responsibilities he had. One of them was to take care of the girl until she returned to her parents. He didn't know why but it was just a feeling he had. It didn't take long for them to reach the house. It was in the middle of the zoo after all. The mother greeted them on the front door already. "Sweetie, did you have fun? We have to go to the vet now, so make sure you have everything. Daddy is going to fetch us soon." she said and patted not only the girl but also him on the head.

Buanna sighed quietly, reaching out for the little one with a rather soft expression on his face. "Come here." He muttered out as he took her hand, pulling her close. "What's your name?" The wolf decided to start with a simple question, pulling the pup on his lap. The silverette would make a great father - he could be soft when needed, but he wouldn't let his kids do anything. Caring, but not always forgiving. In the world of wolves, that may have been just what was needed.

Buanna carefully eyed the other, lightly running his fingers over some parts to see if there were any serious wounds. "How long have you been here?" He questioned again, wrapping his arms around her waist. If he could, he'd get every wolf out of here... But maybe not every wolf would want to go. He knew that most of them were enjoying this easy life here, but this one... This one still had the sweet scent of forests, of freedom. He'd have to take this one too, right?

Amber hummed happily while heading home, stopping to watch the butterflies and ladybugs flying around. It was really fun with a dog! She didn't feel alone, like usually... When she got home and her mom spoke to her, the girl stuck out her tongue and grinned. "Ma, you're talking silly." She giggled as the woman sighed and lightly patted her head (again). The tall female smiled and crouched down to look at her daughter's eyes. "I'm sorry, I'm a little distracted..." She sighed out and kissed Amber's forehead before standing up and walking off somewhere.

Soon enough, her dad came back home and the two of them went to the vet. The mom decided to stay home, as something could happen and she needed to clean up, apparently. While they were in the car, Amber cooed at Kudo, patting him on the head and everywhere else she could reach. The journey was pretty uneventful, just the man making some jokes from time to time.

The other didn't change his decision and reached for her again. Since he hadn't done anything yet, she believed him.....for now. He seemed nice enough and wanted to offer her comfort. Since she had been missing the closeness of another wolf, she followed and sat down on his lap. They were so close now, eye to eye. And as if a dam broke, tears started to fall down. Without warning she hugged Buanna for dear life. As if he would just vanish, like her family. She sobbed out her answers to the others questions "L-luna.....don't know....far too long..." and hid her face in the other's chest so her words were a bit muffled. It had been really far too long; it's been at least two months.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

After their arrival, he was left alone for now. The girl went to her room and Kudo decided to explore the house for a bit. It was exciting to see how the humans lived. There were so many interesting things. But the tall woman often shooed him away from certain things. They were probably a bit dangerous, so Kudo followed the mother's wishes and stayed away from them. It didn't stop him from exploring further. After a while the girl returned from her room and offered him some dog toys for indoors. Deciding to humour the girl for a while, he played along.

Until the father returned. Both of them returned to the moving crate called 'car' by the humans and drove off to god knows where. The shiba inu was a bit worried; they were driving away from Buanna again! But he knew that the family lived in the zoo so they would return later on. Hopefully he would make it until tonight. He promised to see Buanna after all. And he would bite himself if he wouldn't be able to make it. They were so close; he wanted to be close to his partner again. It didn’t take long for them to arrive where they were headed. But instead of walking further, they sat down in one of the rooms of the house. Other animals were also there, thankfully no dogs. The cats only eyed him but didn’t do anything thankfully. Kudo didn’t know these creatures but he couldn’t stand them even before knowing them.

To say that Buanna was surprised when the little pup began crying was far too light. He didn't know what to do when the female hugged him - was he supposed to comfort her? That's what others would do, right? His arms, though hesitantly, wrapped around Luna, gently stroking her hair. "Alright, alright, now calm down..." He muttered softly, gently combing through her hair. "I'm Buanna. Do you want to escape from here?" The wolf asked carefully, holding the younger one close to his body.

Amber sat next to her father at the vet, pouting. She didn't get to hold Kudo's leash... Her father was scared the dog might break loose and run off. The man often patted the dog with his huge hand, as if calming it down. Rick was used to animals getting nervous in such places, so he was glad Amber was there with him to help keep Kudo calm. The girl spent most of her time looking around curiously, finally getting off the bench to go around petting cats. One nice woman talked to the girl as she petted her small kitten. They were so cute...

Finally it was Kudo's time for inspection. Rick held it down gently so it could be given the shots Amber, for good caution, was holding its muzzle as well, so it wouldn't bite. They wanted Kudo protected from all diseases, not just checked out... It was better to recheck everything than face the conciquences later. As the vet got closer to Kudo, holding a needle for the first shot, Amber smiled and lightly patted her new friend's head. "Stay still, okay?"

It was nice to finally have someone that cared for her. The other wolves always left some scraps for her to eat but otherwise they didn't take care of her. Her fur was a bit dirty since no one groomed her and she didn't learn that she could do it herself. And she slept usually under a large bush that provided her with enough warmth and cover from the wind. "Yes...I want to go home." she said, having quieted down from her crying earlier. She continued to hug Buanna but slowly got off after a while. She didn't want to bug him any longer. "Are you alone too Buanna? You smell of the forest I come from....." she stated, a little sad after she remembered her past.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Kudo laid his head on the ground. He was a bit frightened by this place. He could here the sounds of some animals screeching and well 'crying' while they were being treated. It wasn't a nice place but the humans brought him here. And he hoped that they wouldn't end up like Mark. But no, the girl was too nice and he guessed that the father wouldn't do this to him. So he just had to live through it. But being a bit cautious didn't hurt anyone. The whole time that they waited he lay under the chair the father sit on and observed the girl as well as the other animals. Until they were called into the room.

At first he didn't know how to react and let the human do what he wanted. Until Amber and her father restraint him from moving. When the dog saw the needle he remembered the time that he was brought away from the forest and Buanna. Fearing that it would happen again he began to struggle. He didn't want that again, why was the family doing this to him? Since his muzzle was restraint he couldn't bite, Kudo tried to struggle out of their grip. Biting the humans wouldn't do good for him but he didn't want to be taken away from Buanna again.

Buanna let out a quiet, relieved sigh when he realized Luna finally stopped crying. The male lightly brushed off the last tears from her cheeks, somewhat hesitantly. He seemed a bit awkward around her - perhaps it was because usually he wasn't all alone with a small wolf. Especially a crying one... "Very good, I'll be trying to get out at some point. I'll take you with me." He muttered out quietly, the let out a small, but warm smile.

"I came here alone, but I found one of my... Friends, let's say." The wolf answered, holding one hand around Luna's waist even though she wasn't hugging him anymore. He figured that if she didn't really hesitate hugging him, she probably could use some physical contact to relax. Well, at least he hoped so...

Rick thought that Kudo may begin struggling, so he took over Amber and held the dog down while holding its muzzle as well. The girl just patted her new friend gently, lightly scratching behind its ear as it was given all neccessary shots. She could see that the dog was nervous and was doing wverything she could to calm it down. The vet, however, didn't seem too overjoyed with Kudo struggling so much, therefore he just hurried to give him all the shots.

Once everything was done, Amber smiled sweetly at the dog and lightly patted its head. "Good boy!" She said softly before looking at her dad, hand ready to grab the leash. "Pretty pleease?" She asked as the man sighed and gave her the leash. He didn't look too happy, but decided that nothing bad could happen. Although now there was a dog in the waiting room, it seemed especially calm and relaxed.

Buanna was nice she concluded and smiled shyly up to him. "That would be nice. I want to go back...." she said, mumbling the last part. She knew that Buanna probably wanted to return to. She can't always complain while others tried to be strong. She had to toughen up a bit too. Since the other was older, he would probably be able to get them out. He was an adult after all! Adults could do everything! At least she wanted to believe so.

She was happy about the physical contact; it warmed her up a bit. Physical and emotional. "A friend?" she asked, curiously "Is he here too?" she added and looked around the cage, trying to spot someone noticeable. "Did he get caught too?" she mumbled after a while. Luna knew that Anni wasn't born here either. She also smelled like the forest. But the black male was always close to her, so she was afraid to get closer. She would really love to play with the other pups. Anni seemed nice so they might be nice too.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

A low whine was released when the father continued to hold him down, having taken over his daughters share too. The shiba inu was still able to struggle a bit but not by much. The whines continued until it was over again. The girl's stroking didn't really help him calm down. He was so afraid of that syringe; if they hadn't held him down he would have bolted towards the door. But after it was over, Kudo tried to calm down again. He took a couple of shaky breaths and his legs felt like jelly too but he would manage. His tail was tugged in between his legs and his ears lightly bent backwards.

They stepped out of the treatment room and almost instantly, he spotted the new dog in the waiting room. Since he was still shaking, he took cover behind the girl’s legs, hoping that the other dog wouldn't react like everyone else did until now. He just wanted to get home and see Buanna. He wanted to be reassured that everything would be alright. Not by humans though mind you.

Buanna's face graced with a smile as he lightly stroked the other's hair, leaning back against the tree. He let out a long, quiet sigh, closing his eyes for at least a few moments. "So, wait... Are your parents back in the forest?" The wolf asked quietly, hoping that was the answer. He didn't want to hear that her parents were dead or something like that; it would be pretty horrible and he'd feel bad about bringing it up...

"He? No, my friend is a she. Anni's that friend..." He said with a light smile, deciding to keep quiet about Kudo for now. Kids didn't need to know everything, after all. "Didn't you ever play with her puppies? Do you have any friends in here, Luna?" The silverette asked softly, his expression rather warm. Luna questioning about a male friend got him thinking of Kudo again... Where was he, anyway?

Amber seemed worried when she realized Kudo was still pretty shaken after the shots. She continued to pet him gently, even while walking through the waiting room. The dog laying there watched Kudo quietly, her head laying in between her paws. "If you're not dead yet, they didn't do anything bad. You should calm down." She said calmly and offered the dog a small smile. The female dog was, well, quite beautiful - white, flawless fur, light brown eyes, her legs all long and graceful... Well, except for the back left one - it was bandaged and seemed to be broken.

Rick glanced at the new dog and smiled at her owner, saying a quick hello; it seemed like the two of them knew each other. It wasn't that big of a surprise - Rick knew a lot of people. His daughter often said that daddy probably knew all of the people in the world... She didn't really have a good understanding about how big the world really was.

  • 1 month later...

(FINALLY I am back. I got my new pc and it's even working. I was so amazed that when I finally got it, it didn't connect to the internet at all. But now it works thankfully. Took long enough. <. anyway now i just have to get back into the game. gotten a bit rusty. xd>

Luna continued sitting on Buanna's lap. The other hadn't shoved her off and she actually enjoyed it. She saw the male as an older brother figure already. She never had siblings but she kind of knew how it was from the other pups in her pack. "Uhm. Yes, they are probably searching for me......I....I don't know from which forest I am from though." she said, remembering her home. Forest weren't the same; they were all different in one way or another. But she also knew that there are many around the world. She didn't know from where she came from exactly.

"Hm? I thought it was a he. When dad always talked about his friends it was always guys." she said, thinking about it. Of course, friends could also be of the other gender. But she never really saw a male and a female hang around like normal friends do. They were always like her parents, an item. "Yes, I know her. She is really nice but her mate is really scary. He always stares at me when I try to get closer." she said, looking towards the family. They were still sleeping. She sends a longing glance towards the two boys. She would love to play with them. "No, I don't have friends here. I would like to play with them though. They seem nice.....like Anni." she said and looked back towards the silver haired wolf.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kudo continued to follow the two humans. He calmed down a lot but he wouldn't trust them so easily again. His attention was brought back to the new dog. Even for a dog grown up in a wolf pack, Kudo could see that the female was really beautiful. "I have bad memories with the things they are using. I thought....." he started only to stop in the middle. Why should he tell a total stranger his life story? "...I’d rather be dead then for that to happen again." he added afterwards though, seeing it as rude to not finish his sentence. The humans seemed to know each other and they started to talk. So Kudo sat down but still a safe distance away from the other animals.

((Glad to have you back, at last! I missed you

Buanna let out a heavy sigh at the answer he got, feeling his hopes of getting this girl back home slip away. If she didn't know which forest she was from, how in the world could he get her back? Wolves didn't have missing posters, unlike humans... "Well, I guess we'll have to try to find your parents somehow." He muttered out and closed his eyes, placing both hands on the other's waist.

"I think of Anni as my sister, though we're not related." Buanna explained with a smile, glancing at Luna for a moment. "Oh, Troy? Yeah, he can be a bit scary, but... I won't let him hurt you." The silver-haired male chuckled, trying not to make things awkward. He smiled at Luna, lightly ruffling up her hair. "How about I introduce you two those two after they wake up, sound like a good idea?" The wolf asked with a smile, gently patting her head.

"Mhm." The female barely answered, looking away from Kudo. "These two mean no harm for you. The man inside neither. I suggest you stop shaking and get used to it... You may have to visit here a few more times." She spoke calmly, with a certain sense of wisdom. At a better look, she didn't seem young. That probably explained why she appeared to be a know-it-all in a way. "Although you do have the stench of a wolf. Disgusting." She muttered and glanced up at her human, as if Kudo wasn't worth her attention after all. Quite the snob...

(Awwww, thank you. I missed you too. :D )

"Really? You will help me find them?" she asked, her eyes shining. Buanna was so nice. Nobody had wanted to help her when she arrived. Yet Buanna wanted to help her though they didn't know each other much. Her parents often told her not to go with strangers but the only one she could trust is Buanna and Anni. Since both of them weren't from here, just like herself. She appreciated Buanna's efforts and nodded with a hum. She couldn't wait to play with Fey and Mink. At least she wouldn't be bored anymore and maybe she wouldn't even be scared anymore either. Out of thankfulness and joy she hugged Buanna again. But she was a bit unsure on how she would approach those two; she was rather shy so it took all her courage to even get close to Buanna in the beginning.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kudo growled and bared his fangs at the insult. "Don't call it disgusting when you don't know what you are talking about! The wolves were friendlier to me than any of these humans!" he said, teeth bared. He did not stand up or got into an attack notion. He just wanted to show her that he wouldn't take shit from anyone anymore. Though attacking someone was out of question. He still had his pride thank you very much. Though he was scared, his wolf side slowly took over. When backed into a corner, a wolf will fight his way through. He was just so scared that he acted tough to finally escape this nightmare. He wanted back to his home, to Buanna and the forest. He hated it here. And he got annoyed that no one tried to understand him or let him leave. They just had to keep him chained up or under surveillance.

Buanna managed a smile as he nodded. "I'll try, no actual promises though. If you come from a forest halfway across the world, then I won't be much help." He muttered and genty ran a hand through her hair before he felt little arms wrapping tightly around him. The wolf felt a bit surprised again, but gently hugged back, closing his eyes with a yawn. He did come here to take a nap... "Hey, would you mind letting me sleep for a bit? I'm a little tired..." The silver-haired male yawned lazily and rubbed his forehead, his eyes kept closed. God, how he wished this was Kudo on his lap... How much he missed the dog, words could barely even describe anymore.

Before the dog had the chance to reply anything, if she even intended to, Amber shoved the leash to her dad, staring at Kudo wide-eyed. Seeing such a cute dog all angry, fangs bared honestly scared the girl. "Dad, dad let's go home..." She whined softly, keeping a distance from the dog. In less than a minute, all of them headed towards the car, Amber holding on tightly to her dad's shirt. Whenever Kudo got closer, she seemed to get scared for a moment - she'd never seen a dog this scary before. If she was to be honest, she was sure that her Russel looked more like a wolf. The man tugged Kudo to the side where his daughter wasn't, ruffling up his hair with a smile. "Sweetheart, I'm sure Russ was just nervous. You don't have to be scared!"

Luna only nodded to Buanna's answer. She knew that the other might not be able to bring her to her parents but at least he could take her away from here. That was already enough for the little pup. She wasn't alone anymore, even if she wished for her parents warmth, she knew that she couldn't be greedy at the moment. When she got older she would surely search for them however, she wanted to see her mom and dad after all. But until then she hoped that she could stay with Buanna and his pack when they fled. "Oh sorry. You can sleep yes. I'll go off." she said and attempted to climb down. It would be more relaxed if she wasn't sitting on his lap after all. Instead, she wanted to sit next to Buanna, maybe she would join him in a nap. There wasn't much she can do at this moment anyway.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

His eyes didn't leave the other dog, waiting for her to reply. But instead, he was tugged away. He didn't even notice how the girl reacted until the time when she shied away whenever he got closer. Kudo didn't intend to scare her but he didn't regret to have acted like this. He needed to grow a backbone. This whole ordeal took a toll on his emotions and he was unsure how to react so he acted like a scared and weak dog. But they would escape soon and the pack surely didn't want a weak dog. Kudo had already enough problems, getting even more shunned away by them was not in his favour. So he didn't try to comfort the child, since she obviously was scared of him. He followed without a sound and jumped into the car. He made a promise with Buanna to meet today and he wanted to keep that promise. So the faster they got back, the better.

Buanna smiled gently, lifting Luna off of his lap. The wolf set her down before rolling over to his stomach, resting his head on his arms as he fell asleep. He didn't even have to try - the moment he closed his eyes, sleep overcame him and he fell into deep slumber, his muscles relaxing, leaving him defenseless - something that wouldn't happen in the forest at any cost. In here however, in this cage where there was no harm except for the humans who only stared, he could actually allow himself to relax. The first few times of "relaxation" were hard, as he wasn't used to it. Then he curled up in some corner, preferably hidden away by branches of bushes. Now, however, he just slept in the open, unless it was sunny like now. In that case, he found himself some shade and slept there - or in a cave.

Amber eyed the dog carefully before hesitantly getting in next to it as her dad encouraged her to. She reached out to pet it with a shaky hand, lightly touching Kudo's head. She didn't want to be enemies with her Russ - she was too little to understand not all animals wanted to be friends with her. However, she genuinely wanted to have a cute pet like this dog, so she wasn't about to give up. Gently, the girl stroked the fur while her dad drove silently. "Russ, you were just scared of the vet, r-right?" Her voice shook slightly as she gulped down, rubbing her cheek with her free hand. She seemed lost, confused. She just couldn't understand why did Kudo act like that all of a sudden.

When Luna was put down, she took a few steps back to give Buanna room to rest. She didn't stray far however, since she won't be able to do anything else, she decided to take a little nap too. She couldn't wait to play with Mink and Fey. Then she wouldn't feel bored anymore. But Troy was still scary; she had to be careful around him. Though she doubted that he would really hurt her. Maybe just chase her away or something. As long as Anni and Buanna where there, the male wouldn't hurt her for sure.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

During the ride back, Kudo let his eyes drift out of the window. Finally they would return and soon he would see and feel Buanna again. He wanted to be hugged by him, to feel his warmth again. It was so cold without him. He got ripped out of his thoughts by a shaky hand on his head. He noticed that she flinched away; the dog really scared her earlier. But Kudo didn’t pity the girl. She had to understand that not every animal was nice and fluffy. But she was still young so the Shiba Inu decided not to be so hard on her. So he licked the hand stroking him when it got closer to his face. Hopefully he would be able to go out tonight to meet Buanna. Heck he would even jump through a window but he would rather avoid it.

Buanna slept calmly for a few hours at the least. He couldn't be woken up even by thunder and lighting crashing around him, it seemed. Being able to relax completely like this was new, so to say. When he did begin waking up, it was close to sunset... The wolf woke with a wide yawn, stretching out his limbs with a satisfied expression on his face. He glanced around, slowly standing up, still half-asleep. "Luna?" He called out softly, covering his mouth as he yawned again. It seemed Anni had woken up as well, as neither she or her family was where they napped before.

Amber's eyes shone again as the dog licked her hand, as if allowing her to pet him again. Honestly happy about it, the girl hugged her Russel closer, gently stroking his fur. Her dad smiled somewhat proudly in the front seat as he glanced back at his baby girl being all happy. "See what I told you? He was just nervous from the vet." The man said with a smile, the rest of the journey being silent. As they pulled up at the zoo, Amber opened the door to let Kudo jump out first before following. She patted its head gently, a smile on her face. "You must be exhausted! Go and rest, Russ!" She smiled widely, walking through the gates of the zoo.

((Sorry I took so long, I had a horrible week ;__; ))

It didn't take long for Luna to awake again and the first thing she saw was the smiling face of Anni, merely inches away from her own. Without making a sound, but clearly surprised, she jerked back in shock. Anni only laughed lightly. The female had often seen the pup walking around the cage but nobody wanted to get close to her. Anni herself often tried, only to be distracted by Troy or her own pups. After waking up and seeing Luna so close to Buanna, she felt bad. But now would be a good time to talk to the little girl.

They talked a bit, having distanced themselves away from Buanna since they didn't want to wake him. Anni offered the pup to play with her two boys and Luna obviously aggreed. So now Anni was watching over them. Mink and Fey had been nice so far. The pups played tag. The only one that was missing is Troy. He hadn't been there when Anni woke up. She wondered where her husband went.

Soon after he had allowed the girl to pet him again, the shiba inu was ingulfed in a tight hug. Deciding to not do anything for now, he let the girl pet and hug him. No long time later they pulled up to the zoo entrance and Amber opened the car door for him. Not waiting to be told twice he jumped out and walked ahead. The dad put the leash on him before he could go any father. //Shoot. And here i thought i could go to Buanna again.// he thought dejectedly and let his head and tail sink. His body posture obviously showed that he wasn't pleased in the last. A look to the sky told the dog that it was getting late. He promised to meet with Buanna. Hopefully the other didn't have to wait long. As soon as the humans let him out of their sight, Kudo would make a run for the place where Buanna is currently held.

Buanna took a little while to figure out where Luna was. After he did, though, he didn't bother getting her. She seemed perfectly happy playing with the two boys. Instead, he walked over to Anni, gently bumping her jaw with his cheek as he yawned. "Have you been awake for long?" He asked sleepily, his body still not fully used to the new way of sleeping. He rested too well for it to feel normal... The wolf appeared to be a lot softer than usual after just waking up. He was pressed next to Anni, like he often did when he was little. He liked when she stroked his hair, that she always did.

Amber pouted at her dad when he put the collar on her dog. "Take it off! He can't hurt anyone, right, Russ?" She whined softly, however the man just shook his head, leading the dog back to their house. "The zoo is about to close, we should make sure he's inside." The man said with a small smile as he patted her hair. The blonde pouted for a moment before nodding defeatedly as all three of them went back home. Once inside, Kudo's leash was off and the dog was left all alone as the girl hurried off to eat, along with her family. The only way out was either attempting to get through the open window or somehow opening the door. Obviously, none of the humans thought of either of the escape routs. After all, Kudo didn't look like a dog that could jump a lot.

Anni continued to watch over the pups, her ears picking up the sound of Buanna moving. She didn't face him yet; it calmed her down when she saw the pups playing like this. They were happy for now, but Anni wanted to show them her world. The world beyond these cages. Though the pups were happy, they deserved so much better. And Luna didn't belong here anyway. What did the humans think, bringing her here without any of her parents. Though wolves often adopted orphaned pups, the wolves in this cage were different. They thought differently than her and Buanna. Luna did get enough to eat and drink but she didn't get any love. And that was crucial for growing pups. Love and someone to teach them the way of life.

Her gaze switched towards the silver wolf besides her though. It reminded her of the time in the past, when they were younger and she released a small chuckle after thinking about it. "No. We didn't want to wake you though." she answered and stroked his hair, just like she had always done when Buanna was still in their old pack.

Dejectedly the shiba inu followed the daughter and father. So he did have to escape from that house. Hopefully he will find a suitable escape route. And it soon showed itself. In form of an open window. The family left him to eat at the dining room. They even left something to eat for him but Kudo wasn't feeling hungry at the moment. So he padded towards the open window. Sadly there was nothing in front of it, nothing to jump onto or the like. So he had to jump directly over the window sill and land safely on the other side. Thankfully they removed the leash, but the collar was still around his neck. But it wouldn't hinder at least, even though it was still uncomfortable.

He readied his body and made a big jump forward. Thankfully he wasn't a normal dog and was trained by wolves. Though he was still worse than a wolf, he was able to make this jump and even land on all four paws. Not even thinking more about it, he made a mad dash towards the cage where Buanna was held in. It already started to get darker. The last rays of the sun were slowly disappearing over the horizon. He was so excited to see and feel Buanna again, that didn't take long to arrive at the cage. He could remember that it dropped pretty sharp on the other side so he was reluctant to jump over the wall separating them. He should at least notify Buanna of his arrival so he released a small howl and tried looking over the obstacle between them just like he did earlier this day.

Buanna grumbled gratefully, leaning into the touch more like a cat than a wolf. A soft sigh left his mouth as he forced his eyes open and slowly pulled away, stretching out slightly. He yawned before shaking his head and running both hands through his hair. The silverette seemed awfully sleepy after such a nice nap... He looked at the pups with a faint smile on his face, standing close to Anni. "Thanks for taking Luna in." He muttered softly, gently nudging her side. The wolf let out a soft chuckle, bumping against her shoulder lightly. "It won't be long 'till they're better than us, hm?" He joked with a soft laugh, looking lovingly at the game.

Just then, he heard a short howl that he would never mistake with anybody else's. The wolf dashed towards where the sound came from without as much as a sign. "Kudo?!" He called out, standing on his bottom legs to try and look over the fence. "I missed you so much..." He muttered out as he found a small hole in the fence, looking at the other with a soft smile on his face. "Are you okay?" The wolf questioned immediately, attempting to touch the other at least a little bit. He was sure he was getting looks, but at the moment he really couldn't have cared less.

"No problem. I want her to be happy just as much as you. And besides, with Luna here I am not the only female. It might not matter much to you but I do appreciate this little fact." she said, laughing like she used too. After arriving here, she barely smiled or laughed. Only when her pups where born did she finally step out of her shell again. Anni grew up with loving parents that are still alive up to this point, so she can't understand how Luna must feel or how Buanna felt for that matter. But she did try to help them in her own way. It might look like pity to other's but to her it was more like sharing her love that she herself had gotten in her youth. Like a bit family. "Yes. If we are not careful they will be. I don't want to be overthrown by my own pups." she added after her laugh.

Suddenly Buanna dashed away after a short howl flew through the air. It wasn't a wolf’s howl so the female observed what would happen.

Kudo sniffed around the fence, trying to find a way over it. But he couldn't search long since his beloved' voices travelled over the wall separating them. "Y-yes. It's me. Just like I promised, it took longer than anticipated. I’m sorry." he said first happiness but then followed by sadness in his voice. If it would have been his choice, the dog would have arrived sooner but the humans took him to that blasted doctor. After a little while he found the little hole that Buanna was looking through. "I missed you too. I think I am alright. I am searching for a way over the wall...." he stated, whining at the beginning but then returning to his normal voice. He wasn't sure what the doctors did to him but he didn't feel ill or anything of the like. His gaze shifted yet again away from the hole to search with a desperate glance for a way to easily get over it.

Buanna scratched at the fence like crazy, craving to get closer to the other. "Don't be sorry, don't be sorry.." He murmured as he sratched at the hole, trying to at least make it bigger. "Kudo, are you really alright?" The wolf couldn't even hide the worry in his voice, gazing at the other with caring eyes. His mate didn't really sound alright... He sounded scared, if he was honest. "Kudo, there's a bench next to the fence over there. I'd catch you!" The sileverette said hurriedly, motioning towards where it was. He was ready to catch the dog, no matter what... If he decided it was worth a try, of course.

"I miss you, I miss you so much..." Buanna was beginning to sound desperate - never before had he that kind of a voice or expression. Every time Kudo left him here, he was scared that he would never see the other again. That scared him so, so much... "I want to touch you, I-I... I can't even be sure you're real..." There, despair showed itself in his voice. In some way, he appeared to be close to tears.

Kudo whined lowly. After all this time the feelings he bottled up escaped when he heard that the other was as desperate as his. He did not cry but he was near to do so. "I am." he said to Buanna's question, adding yet again in his mind that he wasn't really sure. His mate was worrying already enough as it was, he didn't feel ill so he didn't have to tell Buanna yet. Even if he was close to crying, he wanted to show his mate that he could still be strong. But really, it was mostly to reassure himself that everything will be fine. He won't be able to fooled Buanna probably.

"I'll- I'll show you that I am real. Wait." He said, running to the bench and jumping onto it. Another hop and he was on the fence. His eyes drifted to the silver wolf again. The dog trusted Buanna so he didn't wait long. He wanted to feel his mate as soon as possible, heck even if he did break a leg, it would be worth it. But in the end it would be better if he didn't. Otherwise he wouldn't be able to escape this place that easily. Not thinking any longer he jumped, hoping that his mate would catch him (and also hoping that Buanna wouldn't hurt himself while catching him).
