InkompleteWish
Soon enough the dog saw the silver wolf near the river, having eating his own food it seemed. Buanna didn't need a pack to hunt apparently but Kudo knew better. Though the wolf was strong, agile and could take care of himself, wolves were naturally a pack animal. Though Buanna insisted on being able to life alone, the past had shown that it just wasn't possible. An enemy pack and the silver wolf might as well be dead. The wild wasn't a forgiving place, either you followed the rules or you die. Kudo knew that all to well. He was accepted into the pack though he was an enemy. This act of kindness wasn't common. Usually wolves would kill his kin if they ever saw one walking around alone. And the fact that he was a pup at that time would have made things much easier. But no, the alpha stepped over the rules and took him in. He was no wolf but neither a wolf. Yet he had traits of both now. His appearence was a dog but his mind wanted to be a wolf. But no matter how he would change, a dog would always be a dog. Kudo can only train himself to appear like a wolf. And that is why he is thankful for Buanna to give him a chance to change himself. So he would listen to Buanna, though he grew up otherwise. If being dirty ment more success in hunting then so be it. "Okay." he replied shortly and made his way to the puddle. His bright red fur wouldn't help him so it was neccesary, no matter if he learned that mud was bad by his humans. He lived a different life now and thus he had different rules. So getting dirty wasn't bad anymore but actually good in some occasions. Hunting for example. So the dog made quick way to the puddle and coated himself in mud so that his bright coloured fur wouldn't be spotted. It felt weird....to be that dirty but Kudo had to accept it, just like always. Zombie_In_A_Box
Buanna's eyebrows raised slightly at how obediently the dog went to roll in the puddle. Well, he definitely expected at least some kind of resistance... Watching how Kudo constantly washed himself, even after a meal, it was enough to think that he loved being clean or something like that - not that Buanna didn't like that as well... But hell, even he would've put up a fight if some random wolf would tell him to go and roll around in a puddle - maybe he wouldn't question the order only if it was directly from the alpha... When he saw that the red head was all done, Buanna sighed out softly and looked at him with pursed lips. "Look if you can move comfortably, wipe off anything that constricts your movements but make sure to leave at least a little bit on your fur. It'd be best if you did this anytime you went out to hunt. It not only covers up your red color, but also hides your smell... For now you really need that." The wolf said quietly, not even trying to make his words softer. What was the point of that? Kudo wouldn't be able to live with the pack for much longer if he couldn't deal with a bit of roughness. While he waited for Kudo to get ready, the silverette looked around the field and slowly breathed out. "And also... I hope you understand this by yourself... Don't tell the others I'm teaching you." He said calmly as he began walking towards the forest. "We should work on your ability to pick the right place to wait for prey and your ability to hide well." InkompleteWish
"Yes sensei. Uhm i have a question...." he started, not knowing if he was allowed to ask. "The river here..." he said pointing at the obviously flow of the water. "...is it a good place to hunt? Cause many animals are going to get a drink here or not?" he asked, trying to at least seem a bit useful. Kudo didn't know much and if he did know something, then he wanted to ask if it was right or wrong. Animals needed to drink water in order to stay alive so animals were bound to drink at the flowing river. The dog didn't know that it was a good idea but it would be also a hard hunt. There weren't much trees around the river itself, there was a 'meadow' around the river so he wouldn't have a change to hide himself. Kudo's ears flopped down at the remark. Sure, he knew that he couldn't tell anyone since it was their secret but....it did hurt him a bit. Buanna was nice to teach him so the others should know that he did do something for the pack. Training the weakest link in the pack was a good idea. Surely Buanna would get praised by the alpha. But only Kudo would be happy about a praise probably. He was a dog after all. If he did something good he would be overjoyed to get a praise. That's how he grew up. Wolves were different though, they didn't give out many praises and even if they did, it wasn't because of greatfulness but out of need, to keep the pack together. But he didn't question the other more, he feared that the other would start hating him like the others if he talked to much. Kudo learned from past mistakes. So without speaking much, only nodding, he followed the other into the forest again.
Zombie_In_A_Box
Buanna's eye twiched in irritation at the idiotic way he was called. "Don't call me that way." He growled out softly. Sensei? God, he wasn't that old... The word itself sounded like it was supposed to be for some old, wise guy. He wasn't old nor was he really wise. "If you like running after you prey a lot, sure. The river continues into the forest though, that would be a great place to hunt as well... But not today, I won't give you something as simple as that." The wolf muttered out with slight mock in his voice as he turned to face the dog. "If anyone does ask why you hunt more, don't lie. Especially not to the Alpha." Buanna's voice seemed to fill up with respect at that one, simple word. "Others shouldn't bother us, that's the only reason for not announcing it to everyone... Chances are, of others knew, they would come and disturb. Do you want that?" The silverette asked somewhat coldly as he sighed and leaned back against a tree slightly, his sharp eyes showing the slightest bit of irritation - though there seemed to be a small hint of affection. After all, there was one very important reason for Buanna to train Kudo like this... "Alright, now come on. Tell me if there's any prey around, and if there is, where and how many." The wolf ordered as he crossed his arms and slowly exhaled. If the dog didn't get it right, he should probably think of some "punishmet". Or maybe not... No, this kind of method probably didn't work on dogs. What he had to do was praise him if he did something right - that would probably boost his confidence... If he earned it. InkompleteWish
Kudo sighed. It seemed to him that he always said the wrong things so the dog thought it would be better to not talk until he is asked (such a stupid little dog, quite obedient). But yeah, now he knew that he should avoid this place to hunt since it wasn't an easy way like he thought it would. Buanna wanted to urge him into tougher situations so Kudo would learn it better at least the shiba inu thought so. After all, the other knew what he was doing......right? Though Kudo couldn't shake off the feeling that something will happen in this lesson. Something that isn't as easy as the earlier kill. Call it intuition but Kudo didn't want to go into the forest part where Buanna was leading them too. At least if they would follow the prey that Kudo smelled. After sniffing the air for a good minute Kudo was able to smell some animals. "Uhm.....two deer’s......some rabbits and.....uhm....a racoon I think. Near the border to the north." the dog replied. Kudo hadn't met many racoons in his life. And if he did, most of them were already dead because of the pack. The thing was, the smell was coming from a part of the territory that is rather close to the border. Though wolf attacks weren't common, there would always be a rogue wolf running around. Especially now, the pack had a bit of a problem to chase him away. Kudo didn't know why but the alpha didn't order a direct attack.....he seemed as if he was carefully with that rogue wolf. Their pack territory was large so there was only a slim chance that they would meet it but.....let's be clear here. If they got attacked, Kudo would die and Buanna might be hurt. Because there had to be a reason as to why the alpha hesitated.
Zombie_In_A_Box
Buanna's irritation grew with each second he spent waiting for Kudo to sniff out the damn prey. What was taking him so long?... By this time, he could've realized how many there were, their exact location and even started hunting. He grunted softly when he finally got an answer and sighed. "Correct, but far too slow." He muttered out and lightly patted the red head's hair. "Anytime you're in the forest sniff around and see what prey there is. It doesn't matter if you're hunting, if you're cleaning yourself or if you're just peeing. It'll help you sharpen your sense of smell..." The wolf explained quietly as he sighed and withdrew his hand. He'd heard of the rouge wolf, and honestly.. From the various rumours he'd heard, the wolf had an idea as of who that was. He hoped not, but... He had to expect for the worst. He always did. "Be careful. Lead the way to the deers. How many are there?" Buanna asked quietly as he looked around with sharp eyes. He felt the same was as Kudo... He knew the wolf was around these parts... And he knew even the alpha ordered not to attack him... Just like he did with Buanna himself. Just... This time the rouge wouldn't be joining their pack. No way in hell. Not if it was who he feared it was...
InkompleteWish
Kudo nodded, happy that though he was a bit to slow to sniff them out he still was able to do a good job. The dog smiled, his tail swishing back and forth. The advice and the praise won't be forgotten. Though the dog seemed clueless sometimes, he had a good memory. Everything taught or something would be remembered. It was one of Kudo's good points. Some that even the pack saw. Though he might not be a good hunter at the moment, Kudo is a good history keeper. When he would be old and wrinkled, he would probably be the old grandpa sitting in the circle telling the youngsters old stories of the pack and stuff. Kudo ventured ahead, only releasing an uneasy sound. "There are at least seven deers, a little group. I can smell at least two bucks." he answered and was careful of his surroundings. Kudo was even as careful, to not step on any loose twigs or other things that would reveal them. Venturing in this part of the forest was a little adventure in itself and if Buanna and Kudo decided to hunt here.....they will have to use their skills to the best of their possibilities. Especially if they would have worst luck and met the rogue wolf. It wasn't long before the smell of the deers got stronger. And an even shorter time passed until they could see parts of them through the dense forest. It was windless at the moment, so the danger of getting attacked was bigger for both. The deers and the two wolves. Kudo stood still and lowered himself to the ground. He was waiting for the next instructions.
Zombie_In_A_Box
Cute... This was the only thought in Buanna's head as he watched how the dog's tail swayed to the sides and a happy smile appeared on his face. They... Weren't annoying. Oh, who was he trying to fool? He'd been watching Kudo for long enough to realize how nice, polite and clumsy... And... Cute he really was... The wolf bit down the slightest bit on his lower lip as various thoughts flew through his head. The ceremony... If they managed to do it, him and Kudo would be able to, well, live together... Having this guy for a life-time partner actually sounded rather great... At least he wouldn't be bored. A smile tugged at the corner of his lips when Kudo answered correctly yet again - and this time even faster. "Good job." He muttered out lightly before following the young dog. The wolf was keeping a close distance from the other just in case... His ears were pointed upwards and his fangs were partially showing. He didn't feel safe. When he realized that the red head was waiting for his command, Buanna let out a small smirk and leaned close to him. "Where do you think is the best spot for waiting for the prey?" He asked quietly while looking straight into the dog's eyes. He found them so warm, all the time... His were simply cold, just sharp and definitely ones of a hunter. InkompleteWish
The dog's ears were also pointed upwards and he continued to sniff around. His tail was slightly tugged between his legs, showing his uneasiness. Something was wrong here, Kudo could feel it. It didn't take a genius that this place was dangerous. And even more so for a little shiba inu. Kudo didn't want to accept it but was slightly scared. He knew that Buanna would be able to defend himself and though he trusted the other, Buanna wouldn't be able to save both of them probably. At least not in this part of their territory. Every pack member knew of the danger that ran along the border to other packs territory, that its why only the alpha and his loyal guards were allowed to patrol it. Most however, stayed away from it anyway. The forest was rather dense in this part and a slight mist was always hanging around making the air humid. It was nearly always windless around here so the mist stayed most of the time, giving the forest a swamp like feeling. But......maybe nothing would happen. Maybe Kudo thinks too much of it. Getting into dangerous situations was needed in his training too and this dense part of the forest would be good training. After all, Kudo needed some battle training too. But he would leave the training schedule to Buanna, the other knew how he had to treat Kudo after all. So he didn't shrink away when the silverette got closer. Up close, Kudo noticed that the others eyes were as silver as his hair, almond shaped and clearly showed that the other had lived through many fights and hunts. Though it seemed to most like Buanna was glaring, it didn't bother Kudo much. Instead he found solace in those eyes. If he could, he would want Buanna to trust him and make him feel safe and secured. The other probably hadn't had much happiness in his life so Kudo wanted to share some of his. The dog was naturally happy, even at the smallest things. For Kudo life was not a game but a fight. Even if it was just one lousy hunt, it helped him survive another day so he was happy for that. Small things made him happy to live and he wanted Buanna to feel the same. The other surely could use some friends. "Uhm, behind them so they won't see me. The buck's are at the end of the group so I should stay at the other side? I have to avoid the horns of the males." he whispered as to not alert the prey. It wouldn't do them good if the deer’s heard them after all. Kudo continued to stare, the other was really beautiful. Kudo began to wonder why the other choose him instead of the many females that probably lined up to be the silverette's mate. The sound of a broken twig caught his attention and he turned his head to look around. Because it was wind free, he couldn't smell anything other than the deer’s but he surely wasn't imagining things........right? Suddenly he grew really nervous. If it was from the closeness of his teacher or the danger that could be lurking around, he did not know.
Zombie_In_A_Box
Buanna was actually getting uncomfortable from all the staring. He looked away from the dog to hide the slightly, just slightly nervous and somewhat espression of himself. He'd never received attention, so it was... Well, weird at the least to suddenly have somebody stare at him so intensively. The wolf let out a soft breath while his silver eyes unconsciously trailed back to the shorter male- wait, had he always been shorter than himself? Buanna never stood out by height, he was more agile and lean, but... This guy was even shorter than him... Kind of satisfying, really. Buanna nodded lightly at the other's answer and let out a small smile, which seemed a bit forced out... "Only if there's no wind. If there would be wind, you would have to stand in a way your scent wouldn't be blown towards your prey." He explained quietly as he carefully glanced at the deers. Just then, the twig broke and some of them seemed to get tense before calming down and going back to peacefully chewing the grass. Meanwhile the wolf seemed extremely tense. He pushed Kudo behind his back as he looked around - his heart felt like it was about to stop. That noise didn't come from somewhere far away... "Slowly... Get back to the river... Be careful..." Buanna muttered softly. They had to change the hunting place. No way in hell waa he able to take on that while alone. The silverette gulped down while slight fear began showing itself on his face. Mentally, he begged for the creature who made the sound not to attack... But who knew what might happen. They always had to be careful. They also had to know exactly when to leave. InkompleteWish
(Hope that's okay. You can also rp these wolves of course, cause it wouldn't be fun otherwise) Kudo slightly tilted his head to the side when Buanna avoided his gaze. It was true that Kudo was smaller than the wolves; his whole race was part of the smaller dogs after all. But Kudo wasn't bothered by it that much, height didn't necessarily mean strength. Though it was true that Kudo wasn't strong but he had an iron will and a personality that won't be shaken that easily no matter how easy it seems to others. The dog would always care for others, no matter how they treat him. He knew the pack didn't see him as useful but nobody really went too far. Not even with the bullying. A few wounds here and there but the others wouldn't hurt him as much as they could. So naturally Kudo was caring for them kind of, since though they could kill him they didn't. Even if it were just because of the alpha's orders.....Kudo couldn't start hating them. Just like he is able to brush of Buanna's attitude. The shiba inu noticed the forced smile but didn't comment on it. Buanna wasn't easy to read but he knew right after he was shoved behind the others back that the silver wolf was also anxious. And it seemed that it was proven rightfully. Since soon, the bush to their fronts rustled and revealed another wolf. A male one, bulky in statue and with shining white teeth and claws. "Well well, what do we have here." the stranger said, his eyes glinting in a dangerous way. Kudo was nearly frozen from fright, so they had the bad luck to meet the rough wolf. And it sure didn't seem like they would be able to leave peacefully. Nonetheless, Kudo took a few steps backwards to get away from the stranger. "No no no. Don't run away little pup." a deep voice behind him said, making Kudo's fur stand up. The rogue wolf wasn't alone; soon two others joined the little 'meet up' and including Buanna and him now where five wolves and one dog around. The deer’s were long gone but Kudo could care less. The dog turned around and faced the other wolves, his back drawing towards Buanna again. Kudo wasn't good at trying to act tough but he tried at least to not let his fear show on the outside. Zombie_In_A_Box
Buanna's eyes widened the moment he heard the voice. Shit... He bit down lightly on his lower lip before straightening out his back to make himself lool bigger. He bared his fangs and growled deeply at the new wolf that came while his ears and tail were both raised up high. He pushed away all fear, into the furthest corner of his mind as he stared at the wolf. "Leave us alone." He growled out quietly as he pulled Kudo closer to he could feel him. The dog seemed to be scared... Ahh, who wouldn't be? This... This was like a proffesional murdered they were facing. The scar over his left eye and ear reminded Buanna how the other had gotten it. This wolf was a bit like himself... His previous clan's alpha punished this wolf for killing a clanmate. This wolf was like Buanna's teacher... This wolf... Was his older brother. There was no way he'd win against him. No way. He'd learned all his fighting techniques from him! Everything he was, he learned it from him! From his traitor brother... Tannu. "Come on, come on, little brother~ Are you trying to act scary? How 'bout you drop the act and just give up? I might even try to make your death quick~" Tannu almost purred while the younger one seemingly pushed closer to Kudo. Fear was starting to show. "Leave. Us. Alone." He hissed out through clenched teeth before growling loudly. The other one just raised a brow and laughed coldly. So his brother was protecting a dog... Guess a scum was worth another scum. Both of them were trash. As if on cue, the other two jumped to Kudo - they didn't manage to reach him as the silverette pushed the dog out of the way to instead take the damage himself. It wasn't that bad... Just a few scratches on his chest and face. In return, Buanna growled and jumped into a fight with the two others. He showed his full strength... And it wasn't enough. He was overpowered, left bleeding on the ground while the two others were about to kill him off... As Tannu just observed.
InkompleteWish
Kudo tried to keep his fear in, to not let it leak out. Fear was the utmost statisfaction a killer could have. No killer would have fun killing a person that was not afraid of them. They were psychopatic like that, they enjoyed the fear striken face of their prey and took a delight in it to use their power against weaker beings. Kudo hated such people, everyone that ganked up on the weak should just be put into the same situation. The fact that he is a dog made his will to protect those dear to him even stronger. So for Buanna's sake he tried to not let his fear show, to not give the enemies that statisfaction. But the dog was rather shocked, the stragner was.....Buanna's brother? But how and why would he want to kill his own borhter? It was just confusing and Kudo didn't have a mind to wrap his thoughts about it. The situation was calling for a fight and soon the two wolves in front of Kudo attacked. But the dog couldn't feel any claws or teeth digging into his flesh but he felt a hard shove that sent him to the ground. The silverette had protected him and soon started a fight with the wolves. His 'brother' just watched and Kudo was laying on the ground, nearly forgotten. Kudo was afraid, Buanna took a large amount of damage and it didn't seem that he would win. In the end, the other fell to the ground, covered in blood. With a shaking body, Kudo stood up and growled lowly. No, he wouldn't just watch and running away wasn't even an option. If they had to die, then they will die together. So the dog didn't take long to jump Tannu and bit him into the shoulder. As long as he could distract them long enough, then Buanna and him might be able to run away. "Argh! You.....you scum. Get him off!" Tannu yowled to his fellow wolves and soon enough the others were trying to get Kudo off of their leader. But he wasn't small without a reason. Everytime they tried to reach him, he shifted his body enough to dogde it. He wasn't strong but if his small statue was good at something, it was avoiding attacks and moving his body faster. But Kudo soon had to let go or he might have been seriously injured. He landed next to Buanna and helped him to his feet. "Please, run!" he pleaded and tried dragging the other away from their offenders. Hopefully the other would have enough energy to run away. They probably wouldn't get another chance since Tannu and his followers were obviously a bit disoriented from the unexpected little attack. Zombie_In_A_Box
Buanna's vision was slightly blurry from the blood slowly rolling down his forehead and onto his cheeks. He raised his head slightly when the sound of his brother cursing reached him - that was when he realized the other two wolves had left. The silverette let out a weak growl as he tried to stand up, but failed at doing so. One of the wolves clawed into his thigh pretty bad, there was blood gushing out of the wound... He honestly doubted he could even get away if he got the chance. Even if he did, he probably wouldn't do it. At least not without Kudo. Just at that thought, the dog landed next to him and helped him up - standing caused Buanna to flinch slightly. It hurt... Even so, he nodded lightly at the other's words and began running. He was limping quite badly, but clenched his teeth and just... Ignored the pain. His silver eyes were still filled with it, but he didn't let it show anywhere else. He was a hunter. He had to be strong no matter what. Buanna bared his fangs slightly at the sound of the three wolves running after them... Just, they were very close to the center of their territory. They would be safe when they reached the river. The stomping feet and growling soon quieted down until the sounds were absolutely gone. By then, Buanna and Kudo had reached the river... The wolf fell down onto the ground the minute they reached the river. He was panting rather heavily, various wounds from both claws and fangs on his body - sure, he'd inflicted damage to his opponents as well, but it was nothing compared to what he suffered. His eyes were closed as he gripped onto his thigh - the leg felt like it was burning... Running with a wound like that was absolutely horrible. When he finally did open his eyes, the wolf firstly looked over at Kudo with clenched teeth. "Are you hurt?..." He managed to ask quietly, without even trying to move any more. He just couldn't. Each and every part of his body was hurting... He just wanted to sleep, and never wake up from it. The pain was almost unbearable...
InkompleteWish
Kudo was a bit underpowered to carry Buanna the whole way but the dog didn't want to leave the other behind so he pushed his bodies limits further. He could hear the crunching of leaves under their feets and the growls of the enemies behind them. It gave him a rush of energy and he nearly dragged Buanna with him. The dog knew that the other was in serious pain, the blood all over the silverette and now also over Kudo told it. But they couldn't stop and take a break or it might be their last. In that moment Kudo ignored the feeling off letting Buanna rest but instead choose the other plan and risked that the older wolf would die from the exhaustion and blood loss. It was better than being eaten by your own brother. It wasn't long before Kudo was given the chance to breath normally again since they reached the river and their pursuers seemed to have given up. The weight on his right side lifted and Kudo wasn't able to catch the other before he fell to the ground. Kudo was a bit hurt too but only minor wounds, Buanna took the most damage. The dog didn't wait for help from others, he made his way towards a few herbs that thankfully grew near the water and picked them. He was no medicine man but he did knew a bit about first aid. Kudo made haste to collect everything he needed, herbs and twigs. Buanna laid close to the water so he thankfully didn't need to get a bucket from somewhere. Before Buanna opened his eyes and before Kudo was able to come down from his adrenaline rush, the dog began to dress the wounds up as best as he could. He wouldn't be able to stitch but it will have to do until they get a medicine wolf to look at it. "Shhh don't talk or you'll make it harder for you to breath. I am fine.....so please, survive." he pleaded, the last past spoken in a whispering voice. If it weren't for Kudo's willpower then he would have cried already but he did his best to keep the tears in and continued to dress the wounds. The dog even ripped some of his clothes to wind around the wound, he applied the herbs after squsihing them with a rock. It was pain soothing and helped the closing process of open wounds. Zombie_In_A_Box
Buanna exhaled slowly when the dog answered while a light smile curled up on his lips. He closed his eyes while feeling the light touch of Kudo, of him treating his injuries. It... It felt nice having someone care for him like this... The wolf still didn't feel like sitting around for too long. No matter how good it felt, time was not something they could lose - not when Tannu was still out here... Still roaming free. The mere thought of his brother sent shivers down his spine. He truly was a fearsome wolf... No one would be entirely safe if he attacked. Buanna was glad he didn't have to fight him... When his thigh was taken care of at least slightly, Buanna gripped onto Kudo's shoulder and slowly lifted himself up. “There's no time to rest... We have to warn the others...“ He hissed out through clenched teeth. The pain was almost unbearable... His silver eyes were clouded by pain, anger and worry as he turned his head to the dog. “Go ahead... And tell everyone to be ready in case... He attacks...“ His breathing was a bit uneven and he couldn't even breathe properly. He'd received quite the kick to his chest - nothing was broken, but it still hurt as fuck. This was one of those few times he actually couldn't hide his pain... Or maybe he just didn't feel like it was necessary. This was Kudo... Guess he would be one of the few to see Buanna in physical pain. The wolf slowly began limping towards their village. He turned his expression back to the usual stoic one. No one else would see him like that. Only his eyes still betrayed him - they always did. He was a person who talked through his eyes... Happiness, sadness, anger - he could show every emotion just in his eyes. Maybe sometimes a soft hiss or grunt of pain still left his lips, but otherwise Buanna was silent. It was just how he was... InkompleteWish
Kudo patched the silverette enough up before he felt the other tense under his fingers. His gaze swayed to Buanna's face and he saw the grimace the other showed. The other probably thought about the attack. Who wouldn't be after one's own brother nearly killed you? Kudo would have surely given up there but just the thought about seeing Buanna die send a shiver down his spine and adrenaline pumping through his veins. Kudo wasn't able to let the other die. Buanna was far too important to Kudo now. Losing him.....would mean that Kudo would be alone again. Even though they have been together for only a few hours, the dog didn't want to let the other go. Buanna was almost like a safe heaven to him. But no matter what he tried, the other won't listen to him. The wolf tried lifting himself with the help of the dog's body but Kudo could clearly see the pain the other was in. It hurt him to leave him here; open to be attacked but Kudo didn't have a choice. He had to get the others or Buanna might just die either way. "Okay, but please be careful." Kudo pleaded and gave Buanna's cheek a lick. It wasn't anything romantic but a worried gesture dogs would do. It showed the other the love the dog felt and the eyes would tell the rest. Almost instantly the dog jumped up and ran towards the village. The faster he arrived, the faster Buanna would get treatment and would survive hopefully. After arriving everyone was a mess. Kudo didn't really register anything, he just remembered telling them and most of the pack went into frenzy and ran towards the silver wolf with a medic in tow. Kudo just sank to the ground near a tree and stared into nothingness. If he would lose the other.......it would be his end. He was already far to attached to the wolf. The alpha send him a worried glance but also departed towards the river to help Buanna.
Zombie_In_A_Box
Buanna's eyes widened momentarily when he received a lick to his cheek. At first, he was utterly confused and unsure about what in the world should he do... When he finally was about to say something, he realized Kudo was already long gone. The wolf, bloody and confused, just stared at the red head who was still just slightly visible - a red dot somewhere far away. Just how come that red dot was so calming? Just knowing that it was still here gave Buanna strength and calmness... The wolf continued limping towards the village, however each step became weaker and smaller. He was starting to have trouble with breathing. Each inhale was sharp, as if he was trying desperately to get air - maybe he was... Though nothing else showed the pain except for his eyes. Those usually cold and sharp silver orbs showed immense pain, even agony. What Kudo had done wasn't anywhere near enough for the pain to numb out... Yes, he could walk, but nothing more than that. Buanna let out a weak whimper as he gripped onto his seemingly burning chest, and realized he couldn't take another step. His knees gave in and he fell down yet again, still trying to keep his consciousness. Somehow... Anyhow... He just wanted to stay alive... In a few minutes the wolves from his clan gathered up around him and he was soon carried off to the village. Buanna felt like he was falling asleep, though he tried so hard not to... He was carried in to a healer where his wounds were taken care of enough to soothe the pain and burning to a level where he could move at least his hands and head without feeling too much discomfort. The wolf slowly exhaled as he closed his eyes and parted his lips slightly... Before he could say anything, he'd already fallen asleep. Guess that was what he really needed... InkompleteWish
(I hope its okay that I do a little time skip to the next morning here. :3) Kudo didn't sleep at all in that night. The dog was often seen loitering around the entrance of the medic cave, probably checking up on his friend. The alpha knew that Buanna would be a bit aggressive when he would awake since his survival instincts would kick in and the alpha didn't want the little dog to be close to a confused and delusional Buanna. The dog himself wasn't hurt much and got away with a few bleeding scratches so he wasn't allowed to stay to long inside the cave. Of course that didn't sit well with Kudo so he began to pace back and fro in front of the cave until a hunter of the pack chased him off. Kudo understood what the others of the pack wanted to tell him so he reluctantly withdrew from the cave and made his way back to the river. Along the way he followed Buanna's advices and sniffed the air for anything interesting. The dog didn't really have a cave that he could call his own so he opted to stay under some roots of nearby trees. It didn't bother Kudo till now, so he didn't even try finding a cave of his own. That is also why he retreated back to the river. The flowing water calmed his nerves and let him finally relax after the attack.
Zombie_In_A_Box
((Perfectly fine ^-^)) Buanna slept through all night and at least half of the day. He was awoken by the smell of food... Someone had brought a prey to the cave. As his silver eyes slowly opened, his ears immediately stood up. This wasn't his cave. A low growl escaped his mouth as he sat up abruptly, ready to fight again when the burning pain returned, leaving him whimpering while blinded by it. The wolf carelessly pushed back anyone who tried to help him - the only thing he remembered was his brother attacking. The silverette stumbled out of the cave into the village. He could feel the gazes of others... And he couldn't even recognize them. Another low growl left his mouth as he dashed out, anywhere to escape the ones he thought to be his kidnappers. He only stopped when he was at the river. Some of his wounds had begun to bleed again, and he was dragging his injured leg a bit. Shit, it hurt like hell... The wolf's ears had lowered against his head as he slowly limped to the river to drink a bit. The dog was left unnoticed by the male... It would take him a bit of time alone to actually understand what was going around him. The wolves that were taking care of him, thankfully, decided to let him cool off. If he wasn't back until today's sunset, of course, someone was going to search for him... But everyone knew Buanna was more of a loner. He needed to be alone to figure everything out. InkompleteWish
After registering another being stumbling into the clearing, Kudo sat upright and in attack position. The dog was sure that he couldn't surive another attack but the part near the river where he was at was usually calm so he wasn't as careful as he should be. But his posture relaxed and his tail began wagging after noticing who stepped into the clearing. It was Buanna but obviously still in pain and his wounds reopened. At least he metalic smell of blood in the air told it. The other was limping rather badly and bent down to take a sip from the river water. It seemed that the silverette left the cave in a hurry, probably not used to stay in an unknown cave while injured. The alpha's words rang inside his mind again. He told Kudo that Buanna would probably be a bit hostile after the attack in fear of being attacked again. The other assured him that it was just pure instinct and that Buanna would never hurt him so Kudo was trying very hard to hold himself back from hugging his friend. Kudo decided to let Buanna notice him on his own and to stay at the place he was currently resting in. But the dog couldn't surpress the joy he felt when seeing Buanna up again. His tail started wagging unconciously and a smile slowly spread on his face. The other was still in pain, even Kudo noticed that, but at least he would survive.......if he won't open his wounds more than they already are that is. Zombie_In_A_Box
Buanna was slowly calming down as he drank from the river. His ears stood back up into their usual form as he pulled back and sat down near the edge, closing his eyes for the moment. The wolf exhaled slowly as he thought back to what happened yesterday - how he went out with Kudo, the attack, his coming back to the village... Then a big dark stain where he couldn't remember anything, and then he woke up in the weird cave. The silverette soon understood it must've been the healers' cave... He didn't exactly like the healer wolves. They all seemed suspicious to him, for some reason. Buanna slowly lifted himself off the ground with a soft huff before taking in a deep breath. Suddenly, his eyes shot open and he scanned the area until he saw the red fur... Kudo. The wolf grunted softly as he walked towards the dog and sat down against a tree once he reached the other. For a few moments, he stayed silent, closing his eyes again before letting out a soft sigh. "How long as I out for?" He asked quietly, keeping his eyes closed. The wound on his thigh was staining the bandages with fresh blood - he could really be too careless at times...
InkompleteWish
Kudo continued to examine the other. The smell of fresh blood was hanging in the air. Not to strong though since the bandages soaked it up a bit. But Kudo knew that it wasn't good for Buanna to stain his injuries further or else he might faint and die of blood loose. But the dog knew that Buanna could handle the wounds, though he seemed really reckless at times. It wasn't long before the silverette stood up and scanned the area anxiously. He probably smelled Kudo's scent. Since soon enough red eyes met silver ones and the contact was only broken when Buanna sat down next to the dog. Kudo decided to not talk, since the other might still be tired. His ears were leaned back in concern and his tail stopped swishing around when his eyes spotted the fresh blood stains. Kudo didn't say anything but worry was obviously flowing from him. He only answered when the other asked him something. "A night and half a day." he reported shortly, afraid to say more. Kudo did know first aid but it wasn't anything he could save a life with. "You're wounds reopened, you should get new bandages from the healers." he expressed his worry finally in words and stayed stiff. His own feelings and the thoughts on Buannas own feelings made him unable to act.
Zombie_In_A_Box
Buanna let out a soft groan when he heard the answer. No wonder he was so damn hungry... The wolf tsk'ed as he opened his clearly tired eyes and gazed at the river for a while. The only response Kudo got for his worrying was a low grunt that could've been understood as both agreement and disagreement. The silverette was conflicted about wether he should try to hunt for at least some fishes or go to the village and eat there. Finally, his gaze came back to Kudo as a small frown appeared on his face... Though it was mostly because he felt so damn useless at the moment. All injured and pretty hopeless with doing any good for the pack. “Kudo...“ He muttered out lightly before turning his head away. It was pretty obvious the wolf had trouble saying that... “Could you get me something to eat?...“ Buanna asked quietly, as if he was embarrassed to ask. The wolf wouldn't really call what he was feeling embarrassment - more like he had too much pride to ask for that easily. His silver eyes still had traces of pain and anger, though mostly he just seemed sad.. Angry at himself for even letting something like that happen to him. Good thing he at least didn't get Kudo injured severely... Those scratches would heal soon. They both were quite lucky to even be alive.
InkompleteWish
Kudo didn't know what Buanna thought but he could barely guess that the other hated to be injured and weak, to rely upon others. But the dog has lived his whole life like this so he kind of knew how Buanna felt. But Buanna would be a real help after his wounds healed, Kudo was still learning. Relying on someone wasn't a sin, especially if they are friends or family. And Kudo was sure that they were friends now, even if something might chance in the future. If the silverette wanted someone to rely on then he could always choose Kudo. The dog would try his best to make him feel at least a bit comfortable and at home. Though he wasn't obliged to help Buanna, Kudo would sure do so even if the other didn't ask for help. It was amazing to watch Kudo's personality changes. In one moment he was worried and sad and in the next he was overjoyed. The dog wouldn't have thought that the other would ask something off him, especially getting something to eat. Buanna did teach him but he still wasn't a good enough hunter yet. But Kudo was confident that he would be able to get a hare at least. "Of course. I will get you something, just wait here and try not to open the wounds any more." he said, already having stood up. His tail began wagging again and a large smile formed. The other relied on him, it felt good. Without waiting for another word the dog disappeared into the forest behind them. Kudo had smelled a hare earlier when he walked towards the river so he will try and get it. Maybe he could also get some bandages from the camp to bring back. (Skipping the hunting scene and the bandage getting since i am to lazy. ) Thankfully he was able to track the hare and kill it with the knowledge Buanna taught him. Kudo was also able to get some bandages from the healers. They didn't want to give him any at first but after he told them why he needed it, they handed some over. So packed with the hare and the bandages he made his way back to the river. Soon enough he emerged from the forest and spotted Buanna again. The other hasn't moved much thankfully so Kudo rushed over and put the hare in front of Buanna and started to unroll the bandages. Hopefully the other will let him bandage the wounds.
