Buanna grunted softly in response to the other saying he'd go and get him food. If one looked carefully enough, they would notice a soft, rosy blush on the wolf's cheeks, from the pure embarrassment of having to ask for such a thing. He could always take care of things like that by himself... Now that he actually had to ask, it felt weird. It felt embarrassing... Even awkward. Hell, he never even thought that he'd feel awkward in his life! The wolf let out a soft sigh as he leaned back against the tree, his arms folded on his chest, as if he was close to falling asleep...

 

He felt exhausted. Maybe taking a short nap while waiting for Kudo wouldn't be such a bad choice... His head lulled to the side as he fell into light slumber. The wind carressed his skin and ruffled his hair, while the sun falling on him only made his features sharper. His thin lips were parted slightly, a small cut on them nearly healed. Such minor injuries always healed really fast... And they usually left scars. His whole body was nearly covered in scars of all sizes. Some from attacks, some from being careless.

 

When Kudo came back with the hare and bandages, Buanna was asleep for a short while. Even so, he felt the other's presence even while asleep... He slowly opened his silver eyes while a small yawn left his lips. He turned his eyes to look at the dog and tsk'ed slightly at the sight of bandages. "...Give me those." He murmured out lightly while slowly unrolling the bandage on his thigh. The wound was pretty bad - it seemed that it was deep, some meat was nearly clawed out... The wolf flinched lightly in pain as he grunted softly. Really, he hated taking care of his wounds...

Kudo returned to the flowing river soon enough. And the first sight that greeted him was a dozing Buanna. While asleep, the other looked defenceless and didn't have that scowl on his face. Actually, the dog favoured such a Buanna. Maybe a trusting and happy Buanna would be nice. The other deserved some happiness and it would surely look good on the other. Since the other was in general rather handsome, so a smile would only boost it and would probably make the females swoon even more over him.......truth is, Kudo would probably also swoon a little. That reminded him of the exclamation the other made. Just now did the dog notice what it meant. Living his whole life with Buanna as a pair.....and doing perverted stuff and all. It usually was included right? That made Kudo blush, though he did know about these kinds of stuffs and actually didn't find embarrassing talking about it, it was something different if he was involved himself.

 

Kudo shook his head, now wasn't the time to think about it. Buanna was hurt and Kudo would only feel happy again when the other was healed. The dog handed the silverette the bandages after being ordered to. The hare was placed next to the other and Kudo sat down next to him. After watching Buanna treat his wounds, he couldn't stop himself from asking a certain question. "Should I help?" while looking at the bandages in Buanna's hand. It would surely be faster if the other accepted his help but the other should decide if he wanted to or not. Kudo actually wanted to ask about Buanna's brother but he couldn't bring himself to ask. It was probably a delicate topic and they both didn't know each other that well probably. Kudo didn't know that Buanna had watched over him for some time now after all.

Buanna shook his head at the question as he sighed out softly. "I can take care of myself." He muttered out before slowly beginning to wrap the bandages around his thigh. The wolf grunted in pain as he tightened the bandages quite a bit - otherwise they'd fall off... He didn't want that. His silver eyes had a bit of pain in them as he tried to finish up quickly, but also do a good job. What he didn't like about the situation was Kudo looking at him. Still, he couldn't bring himself to tell him to go away or even look at some other direction... Buanna sighed as he finished up with his thigh and pulled off his shirt to change the bandages on his chest. Clearly, here he was going to need a bit of help... Finally giving up, the older male glanced up at Kudo with a soft breath leaving his mouth.

 

"Could you?" He asked silently while already unwrapping the bandages from his chest. The wolf seemed to be feeling more and more pain as he slowly continued with the unpleasant work. He closed his sharp silver eyes as he tossed the bloodied bandages away, revealing deep wounds on his back and chest. As he waited for Kudo to wrap the bandages around his torso, the wolf quietly began eating the hare while trying not to move too much. There were bandages on his arms as well, but the bandages didn't need to be changed yet, so he didn't even bother. The medics would tell him when to change the bandages and everything else. Buanna sunk his teeth into the soft flesh of the rabbit as he slowly sighed out. The taste of meat was one of the things he needed right now, just to feel a bit better...

Kudo only nodded, having expected the answer. Buanna was a bit to prideful it seemed. It might cost him his life in the future, so the dog wanted the other to change a bit. Nobody could live all alone after all. They might have the power to do so but their psyche would probably suffer due to that. But nobody can force them too, they had to change themselves. At least Kudo knew that and it wouldn't be Buanna if he didn't keep that kind of personality after all. Kudo just hoped that the other would open up a bit more. Accepting help is no weakness.

 

Kudo's ears twitched as he heard the other grunt. Buanna was obviously still in pain. Kudo knew that there was some kind of berry that eased the pain but he didn't know how it looked like so he can't get any for the silver wolf. The medic at the camp didn't have any either but promised to collect some later on due to Kudo's wish.

 

Soon enough, Buanna was finished bandaging the wound on his thigh but it seemed like he had a bit of trouble to treat to the injuries on his back and chest so Kudo was really happy when the silverette asked him. Taking the offered bandages, the dog sat down behind Buanna and started to wind the bandages around the wounds. His slightly smaller but cold fingers wound the cloth securely over the wounds and he stopped sometimes to look at the damage. The wounds were deep and some would surely scare.

 

The others back was already littered with some scares, probably from a time before Buanna joined this pack. Kudo now began to wonder how the others life must have been. According to the things he noticed and knew it wasn’t all that pleasant but there must have been a few nice times. It would just be sad otherwise. But no, the dog didn’t pity the other. Kudo didn’t like to receive pity and he strongly guessed that the other didn’t either. Life was unfair at times but the dog believed that no matter how hard it was in the past there was still a future that you could still influence. And he hoped that his friendship, and maybe more, will help Buanna see this too. There was a saying after all ‘you need to spend time crawling alone through shadows to truly appreciate what it is to stand in the sun’.

Buanna shivered slightly at the feeling of the other's cold fingers and shifted slightly on the ground. Goosebumps began appearing on his back as he sighed out softly and just tried to focus on the soft flesh in his mouth instead. The wolf closed his eyes as he tore off the flesh and swallowed it, feeling his stomach filling up slowly. It felt nice to not feel starving... The silverette sighed out softly as he raised his arms slightly so the other could wrap him up properly. It still felt awfully awkward letting others take care of him, though... Kudo wasn't that bad, he supposed.

 

When the other was done, Buanna had already finished the hare and turned to the dog with an expression that lacked its usual coldness. A small, faint smile could even be seen... "Thanks." Buanna said quietly as he pulled the other's hand away, holding it a bit too long to make it seem like it was for only that purpose. His usually cold eyes held a bit of softness this time. "Really..." He muttered out before finally letting go. "Your hands are cold. Are you feeling okay?" He asked quietly, his concern not faked. No matter how he seemed to be, Kudo was the one he actually cared about... Maybe it was because he reminded him of himself.

 

Buanna let out a soft sigh as he slowly stood up, his face scrunching up slightly in pain. "Nn... I should probably head home..." He murmured out quietly as he looked away for a short while. "Why were you here, anyway?" The wolf asked while lightly holding onto his side where a big bruise was visible. He held his shirt in his other hand, deciding not to put it on since he'd need to go to see the medics soon anyway.

It seemed that the other was slowly relaxing both his body and his mind. It was good to do that since Buanna could only recover fully if he gave both his body and mind the rest they needed. If a wounded body was stressed further, there was a high chance for an infection and fever. And though Buanna slept for the night and half of the day, it wasn't enough for these kind of injuries. The fact that he had been maybe running to the river was already bad enough and reopened the wounds the medic had closed last night. Though it was probably the wolf’s instincts, he should have stayed in the cave and rested. But Kudo guessed that the other still didn't feel comfortable enough around the other pack members.

 

As soon as Kudo was done with the treatment the other had already eaten the hare. The small and kind smile of the other lifted Kudo's spirits. It was unusual for Buanna to really smile but Kudo was happy that he could make the other feel at ease with him. When the other took hold of his hand though a small blush appeared on his face. Like Buanna, he wasn't really used to interactions with others. "Ah no. I have a low body heat so...they are always like this." the shiba inu answered, not completely lying but also not telling the truth. It was true that he had a slightly lower body heat than others but his hands didn't usually get this cold. It probably was due the fear of losing Buanna. It was always like this, when he feared something, his body temperature would go down pretty fast.

 

As soon as the other stood up he followed. "Ah well, before you go you should see the medic again. There are some berries that will ease the pain." he advised while looking away slightly. "Uhm, I......couldn't sleep much last night because......uhm." he started, unsure if he should continue. Though Kudo was usually open minded and spoke what he thought, it was different with Buanna. If he told the other that he was worried and feared for the worst then what would the other say? Would he be angry at Kudo, would he ignore him or even accept the fact that a dog was worried for him? It was embarrassing to say the least. Though his concern is genuine, Kudo was a bit shy around the other. Though he wanted the other to change, Kudo was a bit flustered when Buanna showed him his rare smiles.

Buanna raised a brow when he heard the other say he had low body heat. That was weird... The wolf let out a soft sigh as he took Kudo's hands into both of his own and held them together. “I have higher body heat than most.“ He explained quietly as he warmed the other's hands in his own. The silverette seemed calmer and somehow more relaxed. He gently rubbed the hands together, gently warming Kudo. He knew that he probably seemed weird, but this was the one way he could think of thanking him.

 

“I thought I should see them as well.“ He said quietly before letting go of the warmed hands. Buanna looked around and let out a sigh at the other's weak explanation. “That's not what I meant. I wanted to ask you why weren't you in your cave.“ Then the thought of Kudo not having his cave struck him... “Or... Do you not have one?“ The wolf asked quietly while looking straight at the other. He licked his lips slightly to wet them before sighing. “If you don't, you're going to stay with me. That's one offer I won't take a ‘no‘ for an answer.“ Buanna said quietly, but firmly. He hadd to repay somehow...

 

The wolf then turned around and began walking to the village. He was still obviously limping as he glanced back to see if Kudo was walking along. “Come on.“ He muttered out quickly before turning back around. This reminded him of his brother.. Just, Buanna was usually the one hurt. His brother and him had a good relationship at first, but as time passed they became more like enemies. One began hating the other and... Both of them got banished. Buanna tried a new life while his brother didn't even try.

After having told the other that his hands are usually cold, larger and warmer hands engulfed his own. The warmth of the other slowly spread and Kudo couldn't keep in a little laughter. "Then we complement each other." he said and his tail started wagging slowly. The warmth of the other was appreciated and the dog wanted to hold the hands longer but soon enough the warm hands left and Buanna started talking again. Kudo's hands were warmed now but it would only be a matter of time until the warmth would leave again. Sometimes he did curse his own body for reacting they way it does. But it was a part of him so he accepted it.

 

"Uhm no I don't have one." he replied to the other and looked almost sheepish due to that. Kudo never looked for his own cave and he didn't want to be to far away from the pack, alone to boot, so he picked up the habit to sleep near large tree roots that provided him with shelter and at least a bit of warmth. So Kudo didn't really know how he should react when Buanna decided for him. "I won't be a bother?" he asked quietly, almost inaudible. Asking favours wasn't usually in his forte, at least big ones like that. In that aspect he wasn't that much different than Buanna. But Kudo did know when he should accept the help, even though he doesn't want to. Fact is the dog could have slept longer under the tree roots. It didn't bother him that much but that was probably what he was used to anyway so he didn't even try to search for a cave.

 

He didn't linger longer though since the silver wolf walked back towards the camp and Kudo didn't want to fall behind. The worry that he had felt earlier was slowly dwindling, since Buanna seemed almost fine. The wounds would surely heal so Kudo didn't want to always have that look of worry on his face. Instead it was replaced with a slightly smiling face, happy that the other would survive the attack.

Buanna lightly raised a brow when the other mentioned being a bother. “Why would you be a bother? I didn't ask for you to be my partner for no reason.“ The wolf said quietly while his thought began flowing towards the image of him and Kudo in one cave... Maybe the dog could prepare meat in some better way? He knew there were various ways to do that, but honestly he was too lazy to try... Kudo could do something like that later. The wolf found himself drifting deeper, into more intimate things, unil the image of Kudo underneath him, moaning out his name popped out. Why was he imagining this already?

 

Buanna stayed on the thought for some time. Slowly, the images of them kissing, sharing warmth, laying together began appearing in his mind, and... He realized he may have loved the other. Maybe most of the time he only observed Kudo, but it still felt like he was being with the dog. The wolf knew it was quite weird to think that when Kudo was with him for so little, but... He couldn't really help it. He wasn't going to rape him or anything... “I want you to live with me. That way it will be easier to go hunting together, as well as knowing if the other is in any danger. You have to be careful. He might come again.“ Buanna said quietly as he walked towards the village.

 

Once there, the wolf quickly took care of his injuries and pain, and the medics even let him take some berries to himself. Buanna was glad for that... He didn't want to go there each time he felt pain. The wolf then began walking home. He could feel the stares of others, he knew some pulled away to let him pass. He felt like a stranger here... His cave was something different, however. It was clean, there were some furs for him to sleep on as well as a change of clothes and a bit of meat. Buanna walked and sat down on the furs before searching around for something to light the fire with. He had a small “fireplace“ there as well. The wolf wanted warmth sometimes too...

"That......is true enough." he replied a bit shocked. He wouldn't have thought that the other heard him. Though he was normally an outgoing male, he did was a bit insecure now and then. Having been treated his whole life like that then it wasn't a wonder. After all, most of the pack merely saw him as a burden. But Buanna accepted him, since he can still learn with help and Kudo was happy that the other saw that and gave him his chance. But hearing it like that made his heart feel lighter. Speaking of which, it was a rather fast decision for Buanna to take him as a partner. He wondered why the other instantly asked him, they didn't know each other well yet anyway.

 

"Okay. Maybe I can help with the cave, not only hunting me mean." he said, catching up to Buanna and smiling. Kudo wanted to help Buanna in every way possible since they weren't only friends but now also partners for life. The dog knew that it entailed but for wolves feelings were building over time even though they had to choose a partner already. It was a wonder that wolves got some kind of instinct to choose the right partner. Since Kudo couldn't remember even one pair that wouldn't fall in love later on. Especially in the ceremony. So he guessed he had a long time to get to know Buanna and maybe even love him someday. Truth is, he is already quite fond of the other but Kudo couldn't tell if it was already love or admiration.

 

Kudo followed the wolf and stared back at the others that ogled at them. Both of the packs 'outcasts' walking together through the camp. But the dog didn't bother with it and quietly followed Buanna. They got some berries from the medics and patched the wolf back up. And now they were on the way 'home'. Kudo wondered if he could already call it that. He wasn't there yet after all but it would be his home from now on. But the dog guessed that he could easily get used to it Buanna was with him after all.

 

An awed "Wow" left Kudo's lips as he saw the cave. It was different from what he imagined; it looked comfy and really well organised. His tail showed how much he was happy to stay in the cave with Buanna. Without asking though, he made his way inside and explored it a bit. Shiba Inu's were known for their curiosity and hyper activity after all. Or at least their want to explore things.

"I don't think there's much to help with the cave other than you getting a comfortable place to sleep there. When you hunt, you could take off the fur from animals and just lay it out. It's better than sleeping on the ground." Buanna talked quietly before letting out a small, barely visible smile. That was what he did himself, and honestly it was one of the best choices. Others may have thought it was a weird thing to do, but in winter it was amazing. He had enough furs to be able to almost burry himself in them. Truly, it was satisfying at the very least.

 

The wolf let out another faint smile when Kudo went into his cave so curiously. The silverette began lighting up a fire, doing it rather slowly, because it still hurt to do even the smallest actions. Raising up his arms or running, or even just standing completely straight proved to be painful. That could even be seen when he finally succeeded in the seemingly easy task. There was a slightly pained expression on his face, however he managed to wipe it off rather quickly. Kudo wasn't supposed to think of him as weak.

 

Buanna slowly walked off and layed down on the furs, closing his eyes as he shifted closer to the fire. "If you're hungry go ahead and eat. I don't mind." He muttered out quietly, already enjoying the warmth from the fire. He let out a rather content sigh as he lowered his ears a bit, slowly relaxing his body. Resting in his own cave was so much better than being in the medics' cave. This felt more like home. He felt safer here... Like this was a place where he actually belonged in.

"Yes!" he replied excited, already thinking about his further life. Kudo would make sure to also collect some berries and stuff; maybe he would ask the medic if he could train him too. The dog wanted to help in the best way possible and if Buanna wasn't used to going to a doctor then Kudo had to study medicine so he could help the silver wolf. Just leeching off the other wasn't going to work for the dog. Kudo wanted to help Buanna and not be a burden no matter how often the other denied it. If they will be a pair, than Kudo wanted to help to his best possibilities. And besides the dog was sure that he will never be one of the best hunters so he will gladly give Buanna that spot. Studying things were more his forte anyway so if he could be taught about medicine than all the better.

 

Kudo didn't bother Buanna much, even when the other lit the fire pit. Only the voice of the other broke him out of his curiosity again. "Okay thanks. I am not hungry though." he replied and sat down opposite of Buanna. Kudo hadn't eaten since morning but he really wasn't hungry so he didn't want to force himself to eat. Instead, he watched Buanna for a while. There were enough furs laying around but Kudo wanted to try something. After guessing that the other was already asleep, the dog made his way towards the wolf and lay down next to him. The fire from the fire pit, as well as the furs and even Buanna that lay next to him made him feel secure and warmth that he hadn't felt in a long time. It wasn't long before his eyelids grew heavy and he couldn't escape from the sleep that was calling him. Since the night before he didn't get much sleep so after being wrapped in warmth it was a hard thing to stand against the sleepiness crawling up his body. Before long, Kudo was asleep.

Buanna wasn't fully asleep when Kudo layed down next to him, however. He felt the extra warmth and let out a soft mumble, however didn't wake up either. The wolf seemed absolutely calm, sleeping throughout the whole night with amazing dreams visiting him. Mostly of him and Kudo together. Sometime during the night, Buanna wrapped an arm around the other's waist, pulling him close. It was nice feeling this much warmth... The fire, the furs, and his partner's body. His dreams sometimes went towards the more 'perverted' side, and that caused the wolf to feel uncomfortably hot at times. Kudo's smell was driving him crazy... So sweet, he could feel it in every dream. He didn't even know one could smell this good, make him want so much...

 

When he woke up, Buanna grumbled softly and first pulled Kudo closer, not fully understanding his surroundings. The wolf breathed in Kudo's smell as a soft growl left his lips. He felt so damn needy now... He slowly opened his sharp eyes, and... Everything seemed to disappear. Buanna was left staring at thr dog in awe. So calm... Cute. The wolf never thought he'd think of something as cute. Slowly and carefully, he reached out and gently pushed away a few strands of red hair from Kudo's face without any intentions of waking him up. Mornings were probably the only time Buanna showed his sweetness...

Kudo didn't snore or move much when sleeping. The dog was a heavy sleeper but like I said he didn't move much. If he wouldn't be breathing evenly then you might as well believe him as dead. The only time that he moved his body was when two strong arms pulled him closer to the others body. Kudo shifted and buried his head in the other's chest. The rich and wonderful smell of the other made him sigh only to drift away into his dreamland again. His dreams were usually blank and not really interesting. But the scent of the other was drifting around here too and it made Kudo comfortable. The dog dreamed from a large meadow, the chirping birds and a silhouette standing not to far behind him. Kudo couldn't make out who it was but he guessed it already, the smell coming from it betrayed it. It was a nice dream to say the least. Along the way there were some other.....more intimate dreams.

 

The next morning soon came. Kudo was still sleeping, only shifting when the other pulled him closer again. His dreams have long left him and he was merely in a trance like state. He wasn't really sleeping but his brain wasn't ready to wake up yet either. He just registered a soft growl and something brushing the hair out of his face. It was nice and Kudo unconsciously shifted closer to the warmer body. If life was going to be like this now then Kudo was more then happy to follow. It felt really nice and the dog appreciated the, dare he say it, love that was shown him. His whole life was a bitter one, without much love or affection but he was sure that he wasn't imagining loving Buanna. He might have been the only one to show him at least a bit affection till now but that didn't mean that he loves the other. But being near the wolf, smelling his intoxicating scent and feeling the warmth of the other were proving to him that he did indeed love the other, not just as a friend. He just couldn’t imagine anyone else doing this to him.

Buanna sighed softly as he closed his eyes again, lifting himself up on his elbow a bit. The wolf began stroking the other's waist slightly with his other hand, soon opening his eyes to look at him. The silverette couldn't keep the small smile on his face anymore as he let out a calm breath. He had the feeling Kudo would be a great partner... Question was, how long could Buanna take until he admitted his feelings in the open like that? When would he voice the three important words out? Could he even do it? Truly, the male was more of an action person than a words'. At some point he'd probably jump on Kudo, completely making him his... Actually, why not do it already? Kudo was taken, at least in his mind. Better make sure others knew of it.

 

Buanna leaned down to the dog's neck and lightly traced his fangs over the soft skin before nibbling slightly here and there. He knew Kudo would probably wake up, but why would he really care? Once he decided, Buanna always did everything to get what he wanted. He made sure to leave bright marks on visible places, however... These actions caused a slightly unwelcomed sensation in his groin. Truly, the two of them had barely met, at least officially... Buanna breathed out hotly against the other's neck and closed his eyes, holding Kudo close to himself. He still wasn't going to let the other get away.

Only a little time later and Kudo would have drifted off again but the light touches along his waist and something like teeth nibbling on his skin brought him back. He couldn't stop a shiver trailing down his spine. It wasn't unwelcomed but foreign to Kudo. A slight wave of pleasure drifted over his body and makes his ears twitch as well as his tail swaying from side to side. A quite whine left his lips when the nibbling got a bit harder and it felt like it would leave marks. His left hand clutched the arms that were keeping him locked in the embrace. Soon enough he was able to will his eyes to open.

 

The dog was greeted with the close proximity between them. "B-Buanna!" he nearly whined. Though Kudo did expect this to happen sooner or later it was a surprise that the other wanted to go to that stage already. The dog just wouldn't have thought that it would happen so soon and after waking up too. His ears and his tail still twitched, obviously Kudo wasn't unaffected by these ministrations. But for Kudo it might still be a bit too soon so he tried to free himself of the warm embrace. It was true, they weren't official partners but the dog wouldn't want anyone from the pack expect Buanna either way. At least the other treated him as something akin to an equal. Of course he still had to learn some things but dog or wolf probably didn't matter to the other. And Kudo was sure that he would never find someone better suited for him, the dog. At least not in this forest.

Buanna grunted softly when he heard the other whine softly, then suddenly call out his name. The wolf only tightened his grip around the other, prohibiting him from pulling away until he finished his work. The silverette kept silent until he was satisfied - after that, he lightly pressed his lips against the dog's neck and let out a quiet breath. "Mine." He grumbled out quietly and pulled back, looking straight at the younger male. He didn't intend to do anything more than this, really. "Don't hide those, and don't let anyone else touch you." The wolf added as he loosened his grip and layed back down comfortably on the furs, his expression softening a bit.

 

Buanna always left some proof on things that belonged to him. Guess partners were the same... Though he really wouldn't mind if the same was done to him. Maybe it would keep those whiny females away. The wolf let his fingers slide over Kudo's waist, gently drawing small circles there as he pulled him close for warmth. He didn't feel sorry for what he did, really. However, that was all he would do until Kudo actually agreed on something more... No matter how it seemed, he didn't want to break his partner, or anything of the sort. Slowly, Buanna brough his other hand around the dog and pulled him close while closing his eyes. He breathed in the sweet scent, a lazy smile on his face. Mornings... It seemed like Buanna could be a whole different person then.

It was amazing that the other could be so.....sweet almost. It was as if he was a different wolf but that was probably because he could relax here and didn't have to always put up a tough front. It was nice to know that Kudo was one of the few if not the only one that knew about this side of Buanna. It made his hearts swell with pride since Buanna obviously trusted him enough already. And he guessed that he was okay with the possessiveness the other showed. Even Kudo had a jealous streak. "Yes. I am yours. So please be mine too." he mumbled and leaned upwards to kiss Buanna.
