It was rare he'd actually be affected by a scolding or anything or the sort. Though... He had the feeling that if he got one from Kudo, he's react... Even if he was annoying as hell.

 

"Does it hurt more somewhere?" Buanna heard Aster and tossed a glance at him, his lips pursed when he wasn't talking. "Not really..." He murmured out, as the medic seemed rather satisfied with the answer. The wolf flinched lightly as the brunet began checking the most painful wound. He tried not to show the immense pain he was in, but a soft, quiet whimper still left his mouth. "Really, you two... What even were you thinking?" Aster mumbled to himself as he carefully began stitching up the wound again. Buanna took in sharp breaths each time the needle pierced his skin. Wasn't it funny? Those needles hurt more that the claws or fangs of enemies.

 

Buanna's breath came out in short pants as the gash was finished taking care of, bandages wrapped tightly around it. The reopened wounds on his chest came next. Buanna was still avoiding to look at his partner, while Aster worked in silence. The wolf's hands were shaking as he tried to support himself on the bed. A few drops of sweat ran down his body, making him flinch the slightest bit. This was hell... Honestly, the main reason he wasn't looking at Kudo was because he didn't want to be seen this way. Especially not by him.

When Buanna arrived the dog averted his eyes too. Even if the other found him annoying, it wouldn't do good if the wounds got infected. So Kudo was really eager to finally start his lessons with Aster. If he trained to be a medic he could fuss over the other with a real reason even. Wait that wasn't even the point, he just wanted to play an important role in their relationship. He couldn't leech off of the other and do nothing. In a sense he wanted to earn his living with that.

 

His ears twitched however when he heard the other's sounds. So they were still hurting and still Buanna tried to make it seem like he wasn't bothered. He got a real stubborn partner and he could only sigh when he registered that. So he walked towards the opposite side of the bed and sat down. He leaned backwards so Buanna and he were back to back. Maybe this would ease his pain a bit; he didn't have to support himself now while Aster was stitching the wound. He had to leave when the medic would bandage it up but it was okay for now. His own hand creeped towards Buanna's, that was fisted in the bed sheets. He couldn't look at the other neither could he say anything but he wanted to tell the other that he was with him for a reason. They were partners now.

Buanna's breathing hitched slightly when he felt something warm against his back. It took him a moment to realize it was Kudo... Once he did, the wolf relaxed a bit, closing his eyes as he exhaled slowly. This felt better... Not having to support his own weight on his arms, that was definitely better. When the dog had to pull back, Buanna felt even worse to have to hold his weight again. It didn't seem like Aster cared too much about it, though. He just wanted to do his job, that was it... Buanna also wanted to just get out of this place already. If Kudo would do the same, he was certain it wouldn't even hurt this fucking much.

 

Feeling the light touch on his hand made him flinch slightly. Glancing down with a slightly pained look in his eyes, he took Kudo's hand into his own and entwined their fingers together. He could swear there was a light 'tsk' coming from Aster. The wolf had a small, barely visible smirk as he glanced up at Kudo, his look almost apologetic. Maybe it wasn't that bad after all... He would have to live with this guy for a long time anyway. Might as well get used to having him see him in every condition.

When Aster had to bandage the wounds again the dog had to stand up and leave room for the medic to work. After all was done however he stood up from the bed, their hands still entwined. It was nice to know that Buanna trusted him at least a bit. He smiled down on the other when he got the smirk in return. He kissed the other on the nose before hastily leaving the cave; though he did miss the others hand in his. They fitted together in a sense but Kudo was still too embarrassed to show others openly about their relationship. But time would give way for that.

 

And his future as a medic would start tomorrow. Aster had already assigned him his first day of training. Something about 'the sooner the better with that kind of partner' or something. He just wondered how the others of their pack will react about their partnership. Sure, most would probably ignore it but some will probably pick a few fights now and then. Let's be clear here after all. An 'outsider' and a dog. Buanna might be accepted into the pack but it didn't change the fact that he came from another one and was kicked out apparently. It didn't leave a good impression on some pack members. And now both of them were together. They will surely have a few hard days coming for them but Kudo was sure that they would withstand them.

Buanna felt slightly upset when Kudo walked out. The peck on his nose left a weird, ticklish sensation and he had to rub at it with his hand to make it disappear. Aster mumbled something out about 'idiots in love' as he continued working. The wolf let out a quiet chuckle, closing his eyes until all this was over. He had no idea where could've his partner gone to. Their cave? Or somewhere else? The silverette sighed softly to himself as his wounds were taken care of one by one. No matter what, the medic was good... Even if he could be a bit grumpy.

 

After all was done, Buanna was also scolded about his careless behavior, though the wolf couldn't have cared less. It came in through one ear and went out through the other instantly. He just wanted to get his clothes, get dressed and go back to his warm cave. That was it. When he was finally allowed to do so, his clothes were dried already. Aster seemed to have asked for someone to hang them in front of the fire... Well, all better for him. Buanna then walked to his cave, minding no one that got in his way. He was sleepy...

Kudo came to a stop after having exited the camp. He didn't know where to go and he didn't want to go back to the cave actually. Though he wanted to help Buanna with his wounds it was probably a good idea to give the other some time for himself. At least the dog would feel like this. Of course someone caring for you was nice and all but it can get annoying after a certain amount of time. And Buanna was surely someone whose patience wasn't that great to begin with. So the dog decided to let him do what he wanted for now. He guessed that the other would return to the cave and sleep maybe so Kudo decided to walk around the territory again.

 

It didn't take long for him to reach the river near the camp and he sat down on some large boulders where the sun hit directly. The air was still a bit cold and his clothes weren't completely dried yet so he wanted to relax in the sun. Kudo lay down and began dozing off. It was a nice day till now and as much as Buanna needed rest the dog also needed some peach. His mind was a bit muddled after the fight with Buanna's brother. So he tried to sort his mind and thoughts again while dozing.
