InkompleteWish
The shiba inu let himself be pulled towards the other's body. It was instinct he guessed, he just wanted the other to cheer up. But he can't talk to the human so bodily contact was the only way to assure him that Alexander wasn't alone. To be hugged like this reminded him of Buanna though and his resolve to escape grew stronger. Though he was a dog, his home was now in the forest with the pack. It was a nice change though, being patted by a human and hugged. It felt right in a way, as long as the human didn't force him everything was okay. He lifted his muzzle and licked away the stray tears. After the other's question he stood up and turned around. The doll with the wolf scent was still inside the room. Kudo might not be able to talk with the human but he might be able to show him. He drew closer to the doll and rubbed his head against it to show that he liked the scent. And then he sat down and lifted his mouth. A howl left him. It wasn't a wolf howl but better than nothing. Alexander probably didn't know that he grew up in a wolf pack. The reason why he won't attack, he can't hurt someone that took him in even though they were justified to kill him. Of course the scent of the wolf was some stranger but he just couldn't attack another wolf without a reason. Humans couldn't bring him to attack a wolf. “True enough probably. You’ve always been like this if I remember right.” the female said, trailing off. Though Anni was able to live normally in her old pack, Buanna often had trouble to ‘fit in’. Maybe because he was the alpha’s son but the grey female understood why the male didn’t want to return. He might have blood ties in his old pack but life changed. He loved his new pack and even found a partner. Though he and Kudo might not be able to get children, the silver wolf was happy so why shouldn’t he stay at the new pack? “Kudo huh? I am amazed that they accepted a dog, I think you know what would have happened if he met our old pack first.” she said. They would have probably killed him when they saw him. The red head really had luck, especially now that he had Buanna to take care of him. Anni didn’t know the other but she could guess that the dog was the weakest of the pack. As nasty as it sounded, he needed someone to protect him. “Yes, I know how you feel. Don’t worry, after we escape I will help searching for him.” she promised and put an arm around Buanna’s shoulder. Zombie_In_A_Box
Surprise was written all over Alexander's face when he felt his tears being licked off. He hadn't expected something like this from the dog! And so there he was, the confused expression stuck on his face while he watched Kudo walk over to the doll. What was he going to..? His eyes widened at how the dog acted with the doll. Realization slowly sank in and the blond stood up, slowly walking to Kudo. He crouched back down next to him, quietly taking the doll into his hands. "...So that's why you were in the forest, huh...?" The blond thought out loud. Determination shone in his eyes as he looked at the dog, lightly ruffling his hair. "I'll try to bring you back to your family." He muttered out a promise and smiled, tears shining in his eyes, yet none rolled down. He lightly scratched behind the other's ear, smiling softly at the other as he put the doll away. If he managed to get Kudo back where he belonged, he'd feel as if he'd done something good, for once. Buanna huffed quietly in slight irritation. "As if you wouldn't remember." He mumbled quietly, leaning against the fence. True, the silverette always had trouble with others. Only in the new pack did that change - probably because he actually felt... Home. He got along with the kids, he was known not for being some freak that killed his partner, but a wolf, just like the others. Though not everyone completely accepted him, it was so much better than with his father. If he had to choose between the packs, he would pick the one he was in at the moment without any hesitation. He nodded absentmindedly at Anni's thoughts. Yes, Kudo would've been killed instantly if he was found by his father. A quiet sigh left his mouth at the promise and he leaned closer to the one he called his sister. "Thanks." He muttered out softly, closing his eyes again. "Okay... Now tell me about yourself. How did you accept the life in here?.. What's it like to have children?" He hadn't meant to ask the last question, but since it slipped out, he wasn't taking it back. InkompleteWish
((Sorry a bit short, i am lacking a bit of muse at the moment )) Kudo watched Alexander's reaction. The other seemed baffled at first, why Kudo didn't know, but the human's face slowly morphed into an understanding one. So he was able to convey his message at least. Just to assure the human that he thought right, the shiba inu released a small bark. The other promised to help him but Kudo couldn't fully trust him. Though he was a nice human, he was alone. The other one, that forced him, looked stronger and the other dogs would probably protect him too. But he was touched that Alexander wanted to help him, so he leaned into the patting and his tail started thumping down onto the ground. ---------------------------------------------------------------- "No problem." Anni said softly and patted Buanna's head out of fun. When they were young, Anni often did this and she never knew if the other liked it. It was just a reflex now; she always did it to her children and Troy too. She pondered for a moment when Buanna asked her the questions. "Well, since you already know me I don't have to tell the entire story. I didn't accept this life at first, I snarled at anyone that tried getting close to me and tried to break free. The other's stopped bothering with me after some time and the humans once gave me some injection to keep me calm. After that I lost all my hope, I just lay in this cage and did nothing. I didn't even eat. Until Troy brought me some meat once. I guess you can say it was love at first sight. After that we started talking and he took care of me. He gave me food, talked to me and tried to cheer me up. It worked and so I tried to live my new life. You can see what happened then I guess." she said and her gaze shifted towards her pups that were still playing with their father but seemed to be slowly growing tired. "How.....Hm. A hard question, everyone is different. But I guess it's a large difference to a partnership without one. They just brighten your day even if they are troublesome sometimes. You grow to love them and don't want to let them go, I always see Troy when I look at Mink and my husband said that Fay looked like me at times. It's a nice feeling." she stated and got a far away look in her eyes. She remembered the past, how she got pregnant and how Troy and her where freaking out about it. Zombie_In_A_Box
((That's fine, don't worry ^^)) Alexander was so happy with the change in their "relationship". He could pet the dog without the fear of getting bitten now, and he was pretty damn sure that Kudo was grateful. While the dog couldn't voice it, he could always show it... And Kudo was doing right now. "You're such a good boy!" He couldn't help but coo, then let out a warm, short laugh. The blond seemed happy. He was happy. "Come on, let's take a walk." He decided and stood up, untying Kudo from the wall. He took his leash into one hand and smiled, gently patting its head. "Don't run off now, okay?" He asked with a chuckle as he stepped out of the room. He walked past Mark, explaining briefly where they were going and... He was allowed to. The blond now was overjoyed. They could at least go to the forest, even if just for a little while! "There we go..." He muttered as he began taking slow steps into the forest. This should be interesting... He was curious to see Kudo's reactions to being outside again. Buanna leaned into the soft touch without fully realizing it. Seemed like he did enjoy being petted on his head, even if he was a wolf. The silverette let out a sigh as he listened to his sister. That sounded horrible, actually. "I know I said it before, but I'll repeat it as many times as I feel needed. Humans are fucking sick." He growled, lightly grabbing Anni's hand. "If Troy hadn't been there, where would you be now? Unable to amuse those freaks, you'd probably be dead." He said quietly, shifting closer to the other. He acted like a bit of a younger wolf around Anni sometimes... "I just want my life back. Our lives back." He let out a quiet, almost dreamy sigh when Anni continued answering his questions. "That sounds nice..." He muttered out softly and closed his eyes, then placed his head on the woman's shoulder. "I kind of wish I could have kids." The wolf admitted with a quiet sigh. If he didn't see Kudo again, it would be impossible. He wouldn't find himself a new partner - at least not on his own will, no matter what. "Anni... Why did this happen to us?" He asked finally, sadness seeping into his voice.
InkompleteWish
Alexander petted him for a while and started to talk to him in that baby language again. It was a bit annoying but he guessed he could survive it for now. The human started to untie his leash and started to walk towards the door. The shiba inu understood that they were going to walk around, though he didn’t know where the human wanted to take him. It would be a good chance to flee, since Alexander was alone. But Kudo thought about it. No matter how much he wanted to see Buanna and be free, he couldn’t send Alexander to a beating he was sure to get if Kudo managed to escape. Mark didn’t seem to be a forgiving man. And no matter if he liked the humans or not, he didn’t want to let someone suffer because of him. So he decided against the idea to try and free himself during their walk. When they were walking towards the forest, Kudo examined his surroundings. The house he was in was large and made of solid stone; it had a large yard and was fenced in. So escaping wouldn’t be easy for him. Once they were near the forest his tail started to wag though and he pulled on the ledge to get closer to his home. It was nice to be outside and he wanted to get back to his pack. But even if he did manage to flee now, he didn’t have a single clue to Buanna’s whereabouts. The best option was actually staying with the humans for now. So he fought down his urges to flee and sat down and sent the forest a fore lone look. -------------------------------------------------- Anni smiled at Buanna's antics. When he was with her he acted different. She wondered if he brother was like that to his partner too. She knew how hard it was for Buanna to keep up a relationship, be it lovers or friends. But she couldn't blame him. It had been part of his education as the alpha pup. His father was an 'evil' man. Though he fought for his pack, he didn't really acknowledge some of its members. And his actions were sometimes to harsh too, that is probably the reason why Buanna's brother turned out like that. "I know, that's why I was hesitating when you said you wanted to escape. They are sick to us wolves and that's why we can't really predict what they will do." she stated and let Buanna get closer. "Fate is cruel Buanna, but until now we were able to master it because we tried our best. So we should continue to do so instead of hiding ourselves like I did." she said and sighed. It would be hard but if they gave their all then they would escape. Having hope was the most important thing. "You can still adopt you know. It won't be the same like getting an own kid but its dam close." she said absentmindly, remembering the pups in her old pack. When their parents died, they would usually be adopted by another pair. In some rare cases they will be abandoned. Since some times the pack couldn't take care of the pup.
Zombie_In_A_Box
Alexander chuckled quietly when Kudo stopped and sat down. He crouched down next to him and lightly patted its head, smiling softly at the dog. "You miss your home, don't you." He muttered out softly and sighed, then stood up again. Maybe he wouldn't risk going into the forest after all.. Yeah, he could go into the town instead. Kudo might attempt to run away if they got close to where he was originally from, and that wouldn't end well. Mark would definitely beat him, that was for sure. So, after a small walk through the forest, they reached the start of a city. The blond smiled down at the dog as he walked into the streets, looking around with a small smile tugging at his lips. He liked being here instead of the house always, with that nasty man who didn't know how to properly treat dogs. Oh, maybe he could buy Kudo a treat! Maybe one of those chewing bones... Yeah, that would be nice. He smiled to himself while holding onto Kudo's leash loosely, almost enough for the dog to run off... Maybe he would be able to catch him, but mostly there was trust. He didn't think the dog would run, for some reason. Buanna could only sigh at Anni's words. He didn't know what he could say by now. He only closed his eyes and put his head on the woman's shoulder, letting out a quiet, slightly shaky breath. He wanted to see Kudo so bad. If this was him instead of Anni, they'd probably be holding each other, and... He wouldn't have to sleep alone in the zoo. Only now did he understand that he would sleep alone again. No more of his partner pressed up against him, no more of his sweet scent, no more of the adorable view in the morning... He didn't want that at all. "Fate is a fucking bitch." He growled, opening his eyes to toss a sharp glance at his sister. "I don't want to be here." He said quietly, his voice a little bit shaky. He tried to distract himself by listening to what the other said about kids. He nodded quietly, biting down on his lip a bit. "Yeah..." He murmured softly, for a moment looking like a lonely, lost wolf. Though, that was mostly what he was at the moment. He didn't know this place, he missed Kudo and he was just plain sad. "Anni... You won't leave me, right?"
InkompleteWish
Kudo whined in order for Alexander to understand. He really missed his home but he can't escape now, he has to find Buanna and the best way to do so is to stay with the humans for now. Even if he didn't like it, it was his only chance to find out where they brought the silver wolf. Maybe he can get a whiff of Buanna's scent when they walk around the town. So basically his chances were really higher than when he would escape and search alone. After Alexander started to pull him back towards the town, Kudo followed but one could see that he wasn't as happy as before. So with a sigh he followed the human and let his eyes wander over the different humans and objects in the town. It was his first time to see most of this stuff so he was naturally a bit curious. Across the street he could see other dogs that walked with their humans but Kudo didn't want to actually talk to them since they would probably attack him. So he stuck close to Alexander, afraid to get lost. Some dogs even barked at him. In this aspect he was really quite, Kudo never barked in the pack before. So he didn't see the need to do so now. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A knowing smile spread across Anni's face at Buanna's statement. It was true, fate was a bitch and they could do nothing but accept it at times. There was always the option to fight back however but most didn't understand this. "You know, there is a saying: If live gives you lemons, just make lemonade out of them. Just think when you will finally be able to see your partner again and try to forget the present. Imagine how you will be able to hold him again, hug him and finally be together again. That is worth fighting for isn't? So work your way towards that goal and don't lose heart along the way." she said, sounding almost like a hypocrite. Anni hadn't followed her own words up till now but she wanted her pups and Troy to live in the wild so she would do everything to make it happen. Even if it would take a while. The female just wanted for her brother to stay healthy until their escape. Despair was bad for the body. "No, I won't leave you again. Only if you want me too though." she stated, telling the truth. After being reunited with her brother, she didn't want to lose him again. If she had a say in fate, she would definitely not leave him out of her own will. But as already stated, destiny was cruel and she might die before Buanna. In a sense she would break her promise then. But of course she would do her best to stay alive. Zombie_In_A_Box
Alexander couldn't fight off the soft smile when he saw Kudo's reaction to being in the city. "Hey, you look scared..." He murmured and reached out to lightly pat his head. The blond smiled as he took a turn to the right, a pet shop in his mind. "I'm going to buy you a treat. How does that sound?" He questioned with a wide smile while walking towards the building he had in mind. Soon enough he reached it - and bumped into an old friend, let's call him that. "Oh, hey!" Alexander exclaimed with a grin as he reached to shake the other's hand. This one had short reddish-brown hair and warm, dark brown eyes. Soon enough a woman and a little girl joined - the girl's green eyes lit up with joy when she saw Kudo. "Puppy!" She nearly squeeled and crouched next to him, reaching her hand out with a soft smile, for the dog to sniff. Alexander only smiled and held Kudo's leash a bit tighter, just so he wouldn't attack the girl. Just in case. "Well, Alex... You still working for the rude mouth?" The man asked with a chuckle as he patted his shoulder and smiled down at Kudo. "New dog, huh..." Buanna scoffed quietly at what Anni was saying, rolling his eyes. "Don't give me that crap, kay?" He mumbled out quietly as he huffed and closed his eyes. "Life can take its lemons back." He muttered, not really realizing how funny that sounded. "How do you know that will happen at all?" He asked quietly before sighing. "I don't want to sound pesimistic, but what are the chances I'll see a dog from a pack of wolves again?" He asked with a frown and looked away quietly. "Because I don't think they're that high." The silverette didn't answer in any way when Anni said he wouldn't leave him. He only moved slightly closer, so that they were absolutely next to each other now, their bodies touching. He craved for familiar warmth like this... "Thanks." He finally murmured out, his eyes closing once again. He was still tired... He wanted to sleep, but waking up alone seemed so painful.
InkompleteWish
Even though he was indeed a bit frightened by the many humans and other dogs, he hadn't been part of a wolf pack without reason. Though he wasn't a wolf, he adapted the many personality traits that wolves showed. For example to know when to back down and when to stand his ground. And right now he had to appear without fear and show the dogs that they shouldn't mess with him. So he corrected his way of walking and stepped a feet away from Alex again. Though he looked at the other when the blond mentioned something about a treat. Before they arrived at their location however, his ears pearked up and his body was stiff. Another human got closer and they started talking. Kudo wouldn't attack but he was cautious. At least the girl had the decenty to not simply touch him and asked him for acceptance. At least Kudo was thinking that when the kid stretched her hand closer to his face. Kudo didn't know what to do with it but a child probably won't hurt him. So he sniffed at the hand and then sniffed at the girls face before sitting down and looking up at Alex and tilting his head. It was almost as if he was asking the other who these people were. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- (sorry, completely lacked ideas for this post <.> Anni pulled Buanna close and lent her body for the male to rest on. Troy was thankfully not jealous, since he knew that Anni would never betray him. "Just sleep then. Tomorrow is another day and then we can talk about our plan and you can tell me everything you want to talk about, kay?" she asked quietly and looked towards Troy and her pups. The two boys were exhausted and Troy didn't really have it any better too. "Maybe we should go inside the cave to sleep." the baritone voice of Anni's husband drew closer. He was carrying the little pups since both of them already fell asleep.
Zombie_In_A_Box
The girl seemed to be waiting for Kudo to sniff her - she'd been taught that first she had to wait for the animal to approve of her, and only then touch it. So, when the dog did sniff her and didn't do anything, she was really, really happy... She began petting and stroking Kudo's fur, completely focusing all of her attention to him. "What's its name?" She questioned happily as he looked up at Alexander. "We call him Russel." He answered with a smile before lightly patting the dog's head. "Yeah, he's knew. Seems trained, however, but... I get the feeling this one lived with wolves. It refused to attack and - get this - howled while sitting next to the doll." Alexander seemed awfully excited to say that, and Steve, the new guy, only smiled and shook his head at that. "We also just got a new wolf. You know, completely silver... He got close to some wolf really easily though." He spoke - the wolf he was talking about was no one else but Buanna. "It was injured pretty bad, I don't know... The hunters make me sick sometimes." He said with a scowl while Alexander only sighed and looked away. "We got this one from hunters too... Hey, do you think... You think maybe you could find this one a home? I hate seeing it like that." The blond said softly and looked down at Kudo, his eyes a bit sad. ((Psshhh, it's fine, stop worrying! One paragraph is enough )) Buanna smiled slightly when he was pulled closer and gladly used the chance. As a smaller wolf, he often slept next to Anni instead of his own family. "Aren't you going to sleep with your partner?" He asked quietly, managing to open his eyes for the moment. "But yeah... Okay..." The wolf said with a quiet sigh. He wanted to see Kudo, not only talk about him. Just then, he heard Troy. Buanna sighed out softly and managed to stand up, offering a hand for Anni. "I hope you don't mind I join you." The silverette said in a questioning tone, tossing a glance to the other male. "I'll try not to be a burden or anything." The wolf mumbled softly as he sighed and rubbed his leg. The wound was still stinging a bit...
InkompleteWish
Kudo let the human girl touch him. She was a bit too eager to pat every part of his body. It was a bit annoying but Kudo didn't attack. Why should he, though she was a bit to touchy feeling, the girl didn't hurt him so he saw no reason to hurt her either. But he snorted when Alexander said his 'name'. Really, it would be so much better if they could understand him but sadly they can't so the shiba inu has to accept his new 'name'. He won't be staying for that long after all, when the best situation arises, he would go search for Buanna. For now he got to get a whiff of his scent so he can track it, until then he had to live with the weird humans. Kudo stared at the girl as she continued to pet him, until the conversation progressed further and he heard what the humans spoke next. A wolf, completely silver and wounded too. There was a high possibility that it was Buanna they were talking about so he stood up and drew closer to the other human and took in his scent. After a few seconds he retreated his muzzle and pondered. Kudo couldn't really smell Buanna on the human, but he didn't give up. He lifted his mouth and released a low howl. Maybe the humans will get this. The red head wasn't sure but Alexander proved to be more intellectual than the fatty with his hunting dogs. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Anni didn't accept the offered hand, she wasn't weak and Buanna wasn't really the one to offer his hand like that. "No worries, we have a large enough cave for all of us, we just....have to get a bit closer than usual." she said jokingly and took Fay from her husband's hand. The grey wolf cradled the pup in her arms and looked at him fondly. He loved family; it was time for them to experience a real life without bars. "As Anni said. You are like a brother to her and I trust her, don't worry. You got you own sweetheart I heard. Just rest up till our escape. Your partner probably doesn't want to see you wounded anyway." he spoke and started walking towards their little cave. The caves were clustered together in a large rock like structure. Most of it was real stone but it was obviously tweaked by the humans too, like everything around them.
Zombie_In_A_Box
Steve remained completely calm when Kudo sniffed him. Not the smallest bit of fear showed on his face - he was used to working with dangerous animals, after all. He chuckled, however, when the dog howled and shook his head. "Call me stupid, but I'd say this is just a trained wolf with the appearance of a dog." He commented with a light grin as Alexander laughed along. The girl was pouting, since Kudo was ignoring her for a while... "A home? Daddy, daddy! I want a puppy!" The girl suddenly exclaimed when she heard the blond. Her eyes turned big and hopeful, as she brought her arms around the dog's neck and grinned happily. "It's so cute! Daddy, can we keep it? Pleeeaase?" She whined as Alexander fought to hold back his laughter. Steve would do anything to please his daughter - but for this, he'd have to talk to Mark... And that man was hated by everyone. "Honey, I'll see what I can do." The man finally said with a heavy sigh and crouched down, picking the girl up. Buanna didn't comment on the fact that Anni didn't take the offered hand. He guessed it did look wrong, but he felt a bit lost at the moment. He wasn't too sure about what should he do and what not, and that was slightly frustrating. What was even more frustrating was hearing the other words. "No, I'd rather sleep away then." The wolf said with a sigh as he looked at Troy. This one was weird... He couldn't shake off the feeling that there was something wrong - but it was probably. "It's a bit too late for him to not see me wounded. I... I was kind of saving him when I got most of these." The silverette admitted with a sigh as he stopped in front of the caves and tilted his head. "Any of those caves unused?"
InkompleteWish
Kudo didn't do anything after that. The human didn't smell like Buanna. But he talked about a wounded, silver wolf. The dog wanted to make sure if it was Buanna or not. And for that he might have to follow these humans. But how should he go on about that? If they returned to that hut, then his chances would be small. So his only option was to run away from Alexander but then the human would get a beating. It was a tough decision. The shiba inu stopped thinking about that when he felt two small arms wrap around his neck and squeezing him. Only now did he hear the rest of the conversation. If they would keep him then he can make sure if it's Buanna or not. So this was the perfect chance, they just had to take him with them. So he just played along with the girl and looked at the other human with his large and round puppy eyes. Maybe it will work. The girl was picked up and the arms around his neck left him. Steve would see what he could do, which meant that Kudo had a chance. At this thought his tail started thumping on the ground unconsciously. If they did take him, then he might be able to see Buanna. His hope was still strong, the wolf they were talking about must be Buanna. He was sure of it. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "If you say so...." Anni said, dejected. She still remembered the times when the silver wolf would sneak into her cave and laid down next to her. It was always warm. The female's parents weren't perfect either and they were often out hunting with the pack. That left the little female all alone, so she was grateful to Buanna even. He brightened up her life a bit. After Buanna told them about his founds, the couple only shared a glance but didn't really comment on it. In a sense it was the stronger mate's job to protect the weaker one. But the dog probably didn't really like the thought of Buanna getting hurt because of him. Just like any other partner. Anni wouldn't like it if Troy would sacrifice himself for her either. If they went down, then they would die together. Though Troy was different than her in many ways, she loved him and couldn't imagine a live without him again. "Yes, a few are unused. They are mostly away from the camp centre." Troy said and pointed to a couple of caves a few feet away.
Zombie_In_A_Box
Steve winced softly at how the dog looked at him and looked away, seemingly feeling guilty. At least a little bit. "Goddamn dogs and their puppy eyes..." He groaned out with a sigh while the girl giggled and smiled widely, pressing a kiss to her father's cheek. The mother of the family was standing a bit to the side, her eyes serious, yet calm. She seemed to be observing Kudo more than the humans - so naturally, she was the first one to notice how its tail began thumping against the ground. "I'll talk to Mark." She suddenly said and smiled slightly. Alexander smiled back as he patted Kudo's head and sighed out. "Alright, thank you all... I shouldn't keep you here." The blond said with a smile. All of them soon said their goodbyes and parted ways. Alexander made his way into the shop, now clearly more happy when he looked at the dog. "Aren't you a lucky dog? If they take you in, you'll get a new, loving family!" A small smile appeared on Buanna's face at how Anni looked and he just quietly shook his head. There wasn't the need for words at the moment. And maybe sleeping alone was what he needed at the moment - he was sure he'd get some nightmares when Kudo wasn't next to him. The wolf sighed quietly as he moved his weight to his uninjured leg, observing the couple sharply. He couldn't really tell what their glances meant, but he didn't care all that much anyway. It didn't matter. "Very well then... I'll just take up one of those. Night." Buanna quickly said that and turned around, walking towards one of the empty caves. He was limping pretty badly, seeing as the gash still hurt, but once he'd layed down and curled into a ball, he forgot about his physical pain. He'd been fighting back so he wouldn't show what he was feeling all this time. The feeling of loneliness finally got to him as he layed down on a pile of leaves, already missing both the fire and the furs in his own cave. He wanted to get back there as well... With Kudo, that was for sure.
InkompleteWish
They promised to talk to the fat human that he saw first. So for now he had to wait. Alexander would probably keep him up about these things. Though the human couldn't understand him, it seemed like the blond always talked to dogs like that. As if they were humans too..... A weird thought but it made things easier for the dog. That way he didn't need to sneak around to get some information. The dog was actually grateful for that. The read head was sure that Mark would have killed him or something if Alexander wouldn't have been there. So it was a stoke of luck for the little shiba inu. He wondered if Buanna had any luck, wherever he is. The other humans soon parted and Kudo knew that he had to wait now. Though the dog was a bit sad that he had to lie to the humans so much, it would be worth it in the end. His and Buanna's life came first. It was a bit egoistical to think like this but after growing up in a wolf pack you got like this. Eat or be eaten. Even if Alexander was happy for him, it was for a completely different reason then his own. So he released a bark that he was happy. But since Alexander couldn't understand then he probably guessed that the little dog was happy to be adopted into a human family. How wrong that was, though Kudo would be grateful to the humans that they took him from that hunting place, he would abandon them without a second thought if he and Buanna could flee together. That's just how life was for him. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Good Night." Anni and Troy said at the same time and retreated back into their own cave. After being tossed inside such a place, Buanna probably wanted to be alone at times. But the female thought that it was the wrong way to approach this. She was on the verge of death after she arrived here due to that. Only Troy was able to bring her back to life. So she was happy that the silver male sought her out. Though it was just cuddling or anything, it would help Buanna to cope with this situation better. Solitude only made things worse. Just like Annie, he would probably start thinking about what could happen and how he missed the pack (or in Buanna's case his partner). It would eat at him and this wasn't good. So Anni decided to keep her brother busy for the next few weeks. Mink and Fay would surely play a large part in this. If the pups are with the male then he might stop thinking about so many things. Though they might annoy him later on, Anni was sure that he would appreciate their presence.
Zombie_In_A_Box
Alexander smiled widely when he heard the bark and lightly patted Kudo's head as a response. "Yes, a new family... Sounds good, doesn't it?" He talked with a wide smile before actually walking up to the counter. The blond bought the dog a treat - a chewable bone. Once it was in his hands, the man walked outside and only then gave it to the dog. "There you go!" He said happily and smiled before continuing their walk around the town. Alexander indeed talked a lot to the dog. While they passed through some more important buildings, he always named them, as if he was talking to a child that didn't know anything. But, they still had to get home. And when they did, Aleaxander first received a scolding for taking so long, then Kudo was tied to a wall, as always, while the blond went to take care of the dogs' food and sleeping places. Kudo was left alone for a while before Mark came back. He seemed slightly irritated and determined to do something. The doll with wolves' stench in it was in his hand. He untied Kudo, gripping the doll tightly in his now-gloved hand. "Attack." He ordered in his hoarse voice, his other hand raising up slightly. If Kudo refused to do this again, Mark was ready to use force. ((Hope you don't mind I skipped a little bit, to even out the times in both rps ^^")) The next few days were a bit confusing to Buanna. The new enviroment and wolves were starting to get on his nerves. He'd even tried attacking the humans who brought food at first, but soon learned that it was completely useless when once he was tranquilized. Needless to say, he didn't even try getting close to the humans after that, focusing more on the pups and Anni. The wolf spent most of his time teaching Fay and Mink how to hunt, giving them various tips as well. He definitely took a liking to those two - and he didn't seem to bad with spending time with Anni or Troy, though he still didn't like the later one a bit. He didn't show it, though.. And no one else knew, he wished to keep it for himself. Today was started with him getting small breakfast. His wounds were a bit better, and he could run for short distances without feeling much pain. The wolf was getting better both physically and mentally. Or at least he made it seem so. The first night he woke up thanks to a nightmare, and this time, Kudo wasn't there to comfort him. The memories of the dream haunted him throughout the whole day, even if he tried to distract himself with the puppies and hunting. Well, he was trying. At least he wasn't giving up completely. InkompleteWish
(So sorry for the late reply. I had to go to a work seminar and they didn't have a good enough internet connection in their computer room <.> Alex soon bought something in a store, a weird notion for a dog that grew up in the wild. So he had to pay something for stuff? So as long as you had the money you could buy anything? In a wolf pack he had to fight for the stuff he wanted. A quite different world. While the human was buying whatever he wanted, Kudo looked around. The place smelled of food and other stuff. He could see some toys and some snacks lying around the shelves. But when they left the store again, Alex gave him something. It smelled like food but had a weird form. With a hesitate gesture he took the treat and started chewing it. It didn't taste bad but it wasn't something he was used too. After that they started walking again and Alex started talking again, he pointed to different buildings and told him what they were. Their walk was soon over and Kudo dreaded to return to that stuffy room but he had to listen for now. So he let himself be tied to the wall again and watched Alex leave the room. So now he was all alone again. He didn't have a choice but to rest again. But the shiba inu wasn't alone for long, soon enough a familiar stench drifted up his nose and he instantly knew what would happen. Mark came back with that blasted doll. And it seemed like the human wouldn't give up, his stance told the dog that Mark wouldn't hesitate to hit him if he didn't listen to his commands. But no, never would he betray the wolves. He rather get beaten, but he wondered what would happen if he defended himself? It was clear that the human didn't really have a protection against him. Mark probably just thought that he was a weak little dog. But both could play this game. He growled in response but didn't move from his spot. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (No worries. ) Anni was concerned when Buanna tried to attack the humans. It happened just like she told him. So during the next week she took care of him and urged her babies to play with Buanna. The little tykes loved playing with him since the silver wolf taught them so many new things. Anni joined along the way too, as well as Troy. But the other male was still a bit stiff when around Buanna. It wasn't like he had a personal problem with the silver one, it was just a slight mistrust but the female hoped that both of them would at least be able to accept each other, even if they were so different. She wanted her two precious people to not fight that was the biggest wish she had. "Guys. The food arrived." she shouted towards the males and waited for them to join her. Though she wasn't able to read her brother, she could tell that he still didn't get all that used to this new place. It was natural, so she wanted to give him time. Zombie_In_A_Box
((That's fine, that's fine )) Mark wasn't in the mood to take the dog's shit this time. Once Kudo growled, his gloved fist was slammed into the dog's head. His bloodshot eyes showed fury as he scowled. "Attack." He ordered loudly, shoving the doll into the red head's muzzle. He seemed... Drunk. Truly, his movements were a bit slurry, as well as his words. And, he seemed even more eager than usually to punch the dog, to slam his fists into it over and over again. Mark may have had a bit of a drinking problem after all... However, if the dogs were obedient, mostly no one got hurt. The commotion, however, got Alex's attention. Not too long after, he barged into the room, eyes wide from what he saw right in front of him. "Stop!" He yelled out, running to get Mark's fist down, so he wouldn't hit the dog, but... Instead, he got the very same fist straight into his face. It sent him straight to the ground, gripping his aching cheek instantly. The blond could only hope that the dog would defend himself as he searched for his phone with shaking hands. Hell, he'd make sure to finally get Mark out of this job. Dogs didn't deserve something like this... Buanna was now usually at the tail of the pack when they got their food. He didn't dare go closer after he was tranquilized - though he would still run away without any hesitation if he got the chance to. The wolf growled quietly as he glared at the humans, even though some of them laughed at him. He wasn't something to be laughed at... He didn't want to be laughed at. The silverette bared his fangs like usual, waiting for the food to be tossed in, them the humans disappearing, and only then did he go and get himself a good chunk of meat. He often ended up sharing it with the pups who sometimes ended up without food; unlike Buanna. It was almost like other wolves knew he wasn't to be looked down upon. Buanna sat on the ground as he tore the flesh from the bone, away from everyone else. He still liked his time alone, even here. It helped him collect his thoughts... At least for the moment. The male licked his lips at the taste of blood - though it wasn't anything like the hot blood from freshly-caught prey, it was still better than nothing. He couldn't wait to get back into the forest though... He wanted to be free, and that desire just couldn't disappear. Ever.
InkompleteWish
(I AM BACK! For some weird reason YO is working on my pc again, don't ask me how. It was just working after I tried opening it today O.o ) Kudo winced when the human's fist reached the right side of his skull. It hurt really badly and it took some time to focus his vision again. The dog growled again, only deeper now and he pulled on the chain that tied him to the wall. He turned his head when the doll was shoved up towards it. But since the human didn't seem to be in the right mind, Kudo decided to use it for his advantage. Mark wanted him to attack? He could have it but it won't be the doll he will bite. But he couldn't do so for now since Alex shoved himself in front of him, taking the fist that was originally planed for him. The human shouldn't have interfered but since he got hurt while trying to help him, Kudo wanted to repay the favour. It was unusual for him since he didn't do it often but he started barking and reached forwards to bite the human. He might not be a wolf and he might also be a little dog to the others but he still had sharp teeth and claws that he could use. It Mark wanted him to attack then so be it. At the next best possibility he tried biting the human. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Wow, not able to come up with something original here though :/ ) Anni didn't want to pressure Buanna so she didn't go up to him to eat with the silver wolf. If he wanted he could join them themselves. Anni tried to make sure that everyone of her family had enough food but the wolves in the zoo were pretty egoistic. Even here it was eat or be eaten; only that another, bigger, opponent arrived in the field. In the past she often had to yield to the others and didn't eat much. But now she would fight for her fair share and the one for her pups. In the end it wasn't enough food but her pups were full and her own stomach was filled to some extend. It was better than nothing; the humans didn't really give seconds. So they had to do with the food they got each meal.
Zombie_In_A_Box
(Pfffft, well I'm just glad you're here again ^-^) Mark was too busy yelling curses at Alexander to actually pay attention to the dog. The blond listened to each one of them with clenched teeth, in one hand gripping his phone. This guy's work with dogs would be over. His eyes widened as he watched Kudo lung forward and bite at the man's arm - that made him let out another flurry of curses while he tried to push the dog off. The doll had falled down to the ground long ago, but no one seemed to be paying it any attention. It wasn't important to Mark, who was currently being bitten, nor Alexander who was trying to dial a number for help. Mark managed to push Kudo off after some time, fury in his eyes and he looked as if he was about to strangle the dog if it wasn't for Alexander kicking him - very effectively - straight in the balls. While the fat male was on his knees, grabbing his crotch in pain, the blond hurried to get Kudo out of here. He locked the room once they managed to leave and fell back down to the ground, his cheek swollen, a bruise forming. "Oh my god..." He whispered with wide, fearful eyes as he brought his arms around the red head, hiccuping softly. "That's it, it's over now... You're going to get a nice family... You won't have to do this anymore, I promise..." ((Pls, stop worrying I'll think of something ) Buanna noticed one of the stronger wolves looking at his direction, probably having finished up his meal already. The silverette growled warningly, lifting his head up while baring his fangs. No words were needed to tell that this was his food. The male was able to finish his meat peacefully after that and went up to Anni afterwards. "Training time?" He muttered quietly, looking at her with eyes that barely showed emotion. He wasn't handling being away from Kudo too well. If only he could know whether the dog was safe - or even alive... He just wanted to know it. That was it. Nothing more was needed for him! InkompleteWish
The human tried to get him off his arm but Kudo didn't even think about it. The other had imprisoned him here and he actually hurt his own kind. Just because he was having fun? No because he was a bastard of a human. If Alexander was a good human then Mark was the exampled of a bad-willed human. So he didn't budge, even when Mark tried to pry his mouth open forcefully. It was a bit hard on the dog's body however. Mark stood a tad away from the wall, so the chain and especially the colour choked him. But there would be no future anyway if he didn't keep Mark busy for now. Hopefully Alex would have a plan to get them out of here. But no matter how he didn't want to let go, Mark continued to punch his skull so his grip will lessen. Adding the strangling chain and after some time, the human was freed of his bite. He was kicked towards the wall and yipped. That hurt! But thankfully the human didn't get to do anything else since he soon writhed in pain on the floor. The blond kicked him between the legs, so Mark was officially out for a few seconds. During those few seconds they managed to free him of the annoying shackle and imprisoned the fat man in his own room. His friend was obviously shaken and the hit from earlier obviously started to swell. But the human cared more for him at this point. A bit weird but he welcomed it. He let the other hug him and the shiba inu tried to cheer the human up with cuddling. It wasn't much he could do but even if he could talk to Alexander, it wouldn't turn the situation better. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anni watched Buanna while everyone ate. No one of this pack tried to take the meat from Buanna. They obviously saw that he wasn't taking any shit from them. And that was justified. Though a female she was stronger than most of the males here but that didn't matter. During here first stay here she was emotionally unstable so she didn't even bother with fighting for her share but now she had a family that she had to feed. It was hurting her to see Buanna like this. It was just like in the past, the first time they met. The silver wolf warmed up to her pretty fast but at the beginning he was just like now. Not showing how he felt or relying on her. She knew that she can't take his mate's place but until their escape she had to do. No matter how much she wanted to help, she didn't have more possibilities than the male. Now it was just 'wasting' time, so hard it might be. "Sure. Why don't we train alone today? Just the two of us, like old times?" she asked the other. Both of them could hunt and fight so they didn't need training but they could still play fight like before or something. Zombie_In_A_Box
Alexander felt tears burning his eyes again as he burried his face into Kudo's fur, taking in long, shaky breaths. "I'm sorry you had to go through this..." He continued apologizing, gently stroking its fur. The blond was genuinely upset about this. Even though his cheek was red and swollen, the dog suffered some damage too. The blond would find it a noce family and Mark would never work with dogs again. Ever. No matter what he had to do, that would be it. In the next few hours Mark was driven away while yelling curses and insults to the policemen, Alex was being taken care of by a few medics and the dogs were all checked to see if there weren't any injuries. Alexander would take over the business - but it would be changed a little bit. Instead of being hunting dogs, they'd be trained for guarding, for helping disabled people and so on. However, Kudo was taken in by the very same family they'd met before. With Alexander making promises to visit it, the dog was put into the car next to the girl and they drove off. No one knew that Kudo would get quite thenice surprise in his new home. A smile grew on Buanna's face at the offer and he lightly ran a hand through his own messy hair. "I'm in, you know that." He said with a smile as he licked his lips, collecting the blood from them. The meat here felt artificial somehow. It wasn't real; it wasn't something he thought he even wanted. He ate this because he had to. If he had to choose between getting easy food like this and getting his own, he'd definitely go for hunting. The silverette straightened up before suddenly lunging forwards, aiming at Anni's leg. "I won't go easy on you." He smirked as he attempted to make the other lose her balance. Buanna seemed very focused on strategy this time, rather than relying on pure strength.
InkompleteWish
It was true, he did have some bruises himself but his life in a wolf pack made it easy to bear them. They were nothing compared to the wounds he got when hunting alone or when he got 'attacked'. It was not Alexander’s fault so Kudo didn't know why he was apologising so much. The dog felt grateful even, now Mark wouldn't hurt any more dogs and his chances to see Buanna were higher too. So he didn't do much but let the other calm down while the human rubbed his head against his fur. After a while some odd looking humans arrived, they took Mark and chained him up. When the other walked past them he growled in warning to try anything again. No matter how intelligent he may appear to humans, the policemen still fastened a muzzle and a chain on him. Since he bit Mark it was needed for now apparently. But it was soon removed when the family from earlier arrived to take him with them. The girl started cuddling him again and Kudo could only sigh. Since the other couldn't understand him, the shiba inu licked his hand. Though the other might not be able to know what he wanted to say, it was the only way to thank him before he was put inside that moving thing that he arrived with. He was a bit scared of the moving vehicle but he knew that it wouldn't hurt him....at least for now. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "I don't expect you too." she replied to the other's response. The silver wolf already tried to unbalance her but she hasn't survived till now if she couldn't block it. She jumped backwards to avoid Buanna and instead tried to jump on top of him while he fell forward. It was a bit interesting to see that this Buanna didn't rely on strength alone anymore. In the past he just tried to defeat her with mere strength and often lost because of this. But now he focused on strategy. Her brother grew enormous. She got the feeling that, no matter how hard it was for Buanna, his exile from the pack actually did him something good. He changed and he even found a mate. Zombie_In_A_Box
The girl didn't seem to care about the fact that Kudo was "dangerous", as some of the policemen said. She only cared for the fact that she was getting a cute dog, and maybe she could take care of it! "So... Your name is Russel, right? Right, boy?" She cooed sweetly, a wide smile beaming on her face while her father chuckled in amusement. "Sweetheart, don't annoy it too much. It needs to rest too... We'll get it a nice bed, and you can find some toys for later, okay?" He talked calmly while driving the car. The woman, however, stayed quiet as her daughter continued cooing for the dog, petting it gently. When they got to the zoo, the woman was the first to get out - she walked straight to the house in the middle of the zoo. It was the easiest to live that way... The man went to look over the animals while the girl led Kudo towards the house as well. "We're gonna have so much fun together! We can play, we can go for walks, and... Oh! I can teach you tricks! Oh, I can't wait to play with you~!" A grin flashed on Buanna's face when Anni avoided his attack - he was expecting that from her already. However, something else caught his attention, so the female managed to hit him down on the ground. All of his attention was suddenly drawn to the human who was just passing by... The smell. His silver eyes widened for a moment before a quiet whisper of his partner's name left his lips. With the same confused, surprised expression, he looked at Anni, looking as if he wasn't himself at the moment. "...Anni... I smell him." He said in more of a whisper than anything louder. The wolf seemed to be trembling the slightest bit; whether it was in fear or in anticipation, he didn't know himself.
InkompleteWish
The little dog grunted when the girl tried talking to him and called him Russel again. That wasn't his name but it was no use to try and tell the humans that. It would have to do for now. During their drive, he laid down on the back seats, his head close to the girl since she obviously wanted to pet him. It was not like he hated her touch but more often than not she was a bit to harsh with her treatment. But she was a little kid so it was okay; the little pups he often played with were ten times worse. They would bite and scratch, play fighting the wolves call it. When they arrived, Kudo drew closer to the family. There were so many humans here; he can't even smell their distinct smell. Everything was full and bustling with life. He was able to smell all sorts of animals but not their unique smell. All in all, it was a bit overwhelming. So without a fuss he followed the girl to the large cave in the middle of the zoo. The shiba inu wasn't comfortable around so many humans; he hoped he will be able to leave soon. He just had to find Buanna; his hope was still there that he will find him here since the male of this family smelled like his mate. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Anni was stunned when Buanna didn't try to dodge her, so they bought went down to the ground. Nothing happened thankfully so the grey female stood up from her brother. A quite whisper left his mouth, but Anni wasn't able to understand what he said. The male's eyes were fixed on a human so she followed his gaze. It was the alpha of this zoo, Anni met him once. Just then the silver wolf spoke to her in a mere whisper. //Him?// she asked herself and the gears in her brain started to work. "You mean your mate?" she exclaimed with surprise. If it was the truth then it would make a lot of things easier for them.......especially for Buanna though.
