Kai smiled and nodded before setting up the water and soap in the sink to start on the dishes but while the dishes soaked he walked to the cabinet and pulled out the broom. He whistled and began to sweep the floor clean so it was one less thing he had to do right now. Kaneko frowned and pulled back before looking at the bed with a sigh. "Next time..I don't think I can do it again if I am too rough already.." He shook his head then closed his eyes slowly.

He returned to the sink after and pulled his sleeves up. "Yami. We should have a celebration tonight for us getting together and for Ritsu and Kaneko.. although I'm not sure they are a couple just yet but we could try and set the mood for it right?" He asked while putting his hands into the hot soapy water.

Ritsuka cheers happily as he looked at his father. "I'm so happy now!! We should have cake to celebrate this moment." he said over joyed. It had been a long time since he's felt this happy about something. Yami snapped out of his little daze. He glanced at Kai happily. "That sounds like a wonderful idea. I am sure those two will be happy about it."

Kaneko chuckled softly and got up off the bed and nodded his head slowly. "While I prepare the cake you get all cleaned up alright?" He got dressed and walked out heading to the kitchen. Ritsuka nods as he looked at Kaneko. He then was a bit worried that Yami wouldn't let them make the cake. He quickly got cleaned up and dressed. He then went after his father towards the kitchen. Yami froze up not expecting such a thing. He looked at Kai as his face turned bright red. "Uh... I-I'm going to go wa-wash my hands in t-the bathroom." he said turning to dash out the kitchen. Though before fully leaving the kitchen he stopped. Yami glanced over at Kai but not looking directly at him. "I love you too." he quickly said and ran off to the bathroom. He just needed a moment to calm himself.

Kaneko stopped as he saw Yami rush down the hall and tilted his head wondering if everything was alright. He shook his head and walked into the kitchen opening the food cabinet. "Hey Kai is Yami okay? Did I come at the wromg time?" He looked over the food looking for cake mix. Kai turned his head as he heard what Yami said, was he really meaning it or was it just to be polite. He stopped washing the dishes and dried off his hands. "Oh. Yeah he is fine. I am going outside" He turned and rushed out going towards the garden, right now he was wondering if Yami was okay.

Ritsuka was walking down the hall when he noticed Yami going into the bathroom. "Hey are you alright?" he asked noting how quickly he was moving. Yami stopped as he looked at his friend. "Kai said he loves me. What should I do?" he asked leaning against the wall with a sigh. Ritsuka smiled a bit. "That's a good thing right? it means he honestly wants to be with you." he says standing beside him. "I want to believe that to be true but you know my history with people. How can I be so sure this won't end badly." Yami asked. "Papa found Kai for you. I doubt he would introduce someone who plans to break your heart. Kai is a good guy." Ritsuka said. Yami nods his head with a small smile. "I guess you have a point. Oh, I should get back to the kitchen. Kai is probably freaking out since I ran off." Yami said as he walked to the kitchen with Ritsuka.

Kaneko watched him leave but just sighed and watched him before shrugging and scanning through the cabinet again for the cake mix. He soon found it and set it on the counter, then grabbed a couple eggs and measuring cups. After getting all the items he needed, he started mixing it in a big bowl. Kai sat down in the garden and sniffled a bit rubbing his eyes trying not to think of anything bad happening to them, he really loved Yami but if he didn't feel the same he would still love him. He pulled a flower from the flower bed beside him and sniffed it, before looking at the ground. "Why did I have to say it so soon... My heart can't take another break up like this.. I'm stupid.. He will never love me...." He closed his eyes.

Yami walked into the kitchen to see Kaneko mixing. "Uh, your making something? Where did Kai go?" he asked looking at him. He really was trying to get use to having people about. Ritsuka looked at his friend's face. "Papa is making a cake for celebration. It'll be very yummy." he said smiling. "That's funny since Kai mentioned the same thing. I should go look for him." he said walking down the hall. He noticed the door to the garden slightly open. Walking outside Yami soon noticed Kai. "My garden doesn't like random cuteness in it. They get jealous." he said sitting beside him. "You love this place as much as I do. I always run away here to think." he said leaning his head on the other. "Don't leave me. You promised and you said you love me. I'll pull out all the stops if it keeps you with me." Yami said.

Kaneko smiled and looked up to speak but his son had beat him to it then glanced at him. "You want to grab the spray and the cake pan. Spray it down good then preheat the oven on 425." He continued mixing the batter to maKe sure it was well blended. Kai jumped as he heard Yamis voice, almost standing up but the other sat beside him. He nodded his head slowly before placing the flower on Yamis lap. He blushed. "Yami even if you didn't love me back or even never wanted to be with me anymore, my love for you would always be there. You have made me so happy in the little time we spent together... I seriously can't see myself leaving your side ever." He leaned over and kissed his lips gently.

Ritsuka looked at his father as he searched for a cake pan. He soon found one and then looked for the spray. "So what flavor of cake did you find?" he asked trying to take a peek into the bowl. His face so full of happiness. Yami glanced at the flower as he then looked at Kai. "Stop talking like that. I never said I didn't love you or couldn't fall in love with you. I just had my heart shattered one too many times so I am very protective of what's left of it. So please forgive me if I act a bit coldly. I am just not use to having anyone say those words and mean it." he said staying close to Kai. "Even so, I want to believe yours words. I hope you can help me believe in all you say." he said
