Fintan was looking at his lap silently, avoiding eye contact with the other as he twiddled his thumbs idly. He knew the other didn't want to hear that. And he didn't want to tell the other that. He knew it was wrong of a boyfriend to be so accusing and untrustworthy of his lover but...after the other was untrustworthy and unfaithful to him, he couldn't help the uncertainty. As his face was grasped between hands and pulled up to look at the other, he gulped nervously, biting his lip as he didn't have a choice but to look right into the others pleading, desperate eyes. He himself couldn't help but tear up a bit "I-I'm sorry...I do believe you....i do" he repeated with a nod of his head "I'm just scared..." he murmured softly.

Thomas let out a shaky sigh while trying to contain himself. The least he needed right now was snapping at the other - and he felt like that could happen any minute. "No, Fin, just... Don't be scared, I really won't do it..." He whispered, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. The brunet bit down on his own lip for a moment before gently pressing their foreheads together. "I swear." He promised quietly, closing his eyes. He didn't want any more of this emotional nonsense. Honestly, the urge to cut himself and just let out the feelings was growing stronger and stronger... It was a way that helped, he was sure of that.

Fintan nodded his head slightly when the other told him not to be scared, assuring he wouldn't ever do such a thing again. Hearing the other say it and reassure him so many times, he couldn't help but feel a bit more relaxed and better about it "Okay" he murmured, kissing the other softly as he opened his eyes, looking at the other when their foreheads were pressed. He offered a small smile "I really do believe you, Tom..." he murmured softly as he wrapped his arms tightly around the other, hugging him close, comforted by the soft and warm feeling provided by the other, being so close to him.

Thomas let out a quiet sigh and pulled Fintan towards himself, hugging back quietly. Once both of them were back under the covers and comfy, he closed his eyes and tried to soothe himself to sleep. If he couldn't, there really would only be one way out. "I love you..." He whispered softly against his boyfriend's forehead, his eyes closed tightly. He didn't want to wake up anymore. If he fell asleep... He wished he could stay like that forever. Life was too complicated now. It was.

Fintan felt a lot better after that little bit of talking, as hard as it was. But he'd finally admitted to Thomas his real fears and worries about their situation and everything. And though it was rough at first, he felt like they might be a lot better than they were before. He smiled a bit, resting his head on the others chest "I love you too, Tom" he murmured as he cuddled close to him, moving to prop his chin up on his chest to look at him, running his hands through the others hair "I'll never leave you, I promise. Unless you ask me to, I'll always stay beside you" he promised, kissing him softly with a soft smile.

Thomas, of course, was still happy to hear all that. He smiled slightly at his boyfriend and responded to the kiss in the exact same, soft manner. The brunet pulled away after a bit, his arms still around the merman. "You know I'd never ask you to leave." He murmured softly and closed his eyes. In minutes, the man was asleep, but had the troubled expression still on his face. Even now, with Fintan in his arms, he couldn't sleep absolutely peacefully... He couldn't.

Fintan smiled a bit at his lovers words, cuddling close and resting on him as he watched the male fall asleep quickly. He continued to gently run his fingers through the males hair, watching him sleep and still seem troubled. He was sure the other still had a guilty conscious, perhaps thats why he couldn't completely relax. Fintan just tried to him by soothingly running fingers through his soft hair, before eventually, Fintan himself had fallen fast asleep against his lover.

Thomas' dreams had turned into nightmares again. During the whole night, his grip on the other remained tight, his face burried into his hair while soft, quiet whimpers left his mouth from time to time. He ended up waking really early in the morning, covered in cold sweat. This time even seeing Fintan beside him didn't do all that much. The brunet quietly got out of the bed, trying not to wake him and went off to the bathroom. He made sure to lock it as he got into the shower, turning on hot water. If this would be enough, he'd be alright... Though he doubted this would be enough to erase that awful feeling.

Fintan was sound asleep cuddled up beside the other. When the next morning came and the other shifted to get up, Fintan mumbled slightly in his sleep, shifting from the lack of warmth, and shivering as he cuddled closer beneath the covers. He remained asleep for a few more minutes before the lack of warmth got to him, since, he was still naked after all. He hummed as he rubbed his eyes, sitting up with a yawn as he glanced around, seeing Thomas wasn't beside him. He heard the shower on, and figured thats were he was. Stealing some of Thomas' clothes - sweatpants and a t shirt, he headed to the kitchen to try and prepare the other food - which wasn't the best idea, since, he didn't know how to make human food. Though he had wanted to try to, for Thomas. But it ended in a disaster.

Thomas didn't manage to finish it up with only a shower after all. Blood mixed with water as he stood underneath the falling water, looking at the beautiful shade of red. He knew he shouldn't be doing this... He knew that this wouldn't end good for him... And yet, he couldn't stop. When he finally got out of the hot shower, he firstly bandaged up his wrists and walked to his room to put on pants and a hoodie, to hide his wrists. He went to the kitchen and raised his brows at the view, his hair still wet from the shower. "...What happened in here?" The brunet asked with a light chuckle.

Fintan had somehow made the kitchen a complete mess. He'd tried making eggs, having seen Thomas make them a bunch, but in result of his attempt at omelets, not only were some raw eggs and other ingredients spilled about the counter - and Fintan - but the enter stove was covered in soot - as was Fintan, his white hair now black, soot all over his face. And the large pan he'd been trying to cook eggs in was completely black in soot, with some foreign thick and charred hard mass of a glob stuck onto it. Fintan pouted as he turned to Thomas "I-I was only trying to cook!! Everything on land is so much more complicated..." he whined pouted that he'd been unsuccessful. He guessed he had just been too excited about the outcome of last night and where their relationship stood now - on much better terms, and nearly back to normal - or, so Fintan was under the impression of, anyways.

Thomas let out a quiet sigh as he walked closer, lightly shaking his head. "Stupid." He muttered in such a sweet tone, no one could possibly take it seriously. He brushed a thumb over the other's lips to get the soot off before pressing a soft kiss to his lips. "Go and shower, I'll clean up and make breakfast." He said softly and smiled. He knew he'd placed the razor away, where it was supposed to go. The brunet left no signs of him cutting himself in the shower, so there was no risk of Fintan finding out... Hopefully. The pianist let out a soft sigh as he scratched his head and began cleaning up - first cleaning the counter and the pan, tossing most of the things that'd spilled out into the trash. He left the pan to soak so it would be easier to wash later and began making some rice porridge for them afterwards. Something easy for the start... He hand't made a lot of food when he lived alone.

Fintan blushed a bit as the other called him stupid, knowing he was only teasing though "I'll clean it up, I promise!" he said, knowing how terrible of a mess he had created. He blinked a bit when the others thumb ran across his lips before he was kissed and he smiled a bit. When the other told him to go take a shower and he'd clean up and cook for them, he frowned "Are you sure? I made such a mess, I'd hate to leave it to you to clean...." he trailed off, then looked at himself. He supposed he was too dirty himself to be of much help cleaning. So, giving in and resigning, he turned and headed to the shower. He set the tub up and let the water pour out to fill it in cold water - water of which he was used to. Temperatures too hot sent him in a heat stroke practically - he was very much like a fish in that sense. Filling the tub off, he pulled off the clothes and slipped into the cold water, letting out a sigh of relief as he sunk into the water as his body took his other form.

Thomas didn't even listen to Fintan saying he wanted to help and just waited for him to leave and wash up. He wasn't even sure how the other managed this... So much soot from trying to make eggs. How?! The brunet sighed and, while waiting for the rice to cook, scrubbed the counter clean. This also helped him focus for sometime... And he didn't think of the new cuts he'd made. Before Fintan even came back, the kitchen was clean and there were two bowls of porridge on the table.

Fintan relaxed in the bath for a while, enjoying it as he cleaned himself up. The water turned into a light murky color from all the soot. He finished cleaning himself off and everything, before he drained the tub and got out, drying himself off completely so he changed back into his human form. Once he was fully dry and back, he changed into some clean clothes before heading back to the kitchen and seeing it was clean and the food was set and made. He smiled a bit "Thanks...sorry about that...again" he said with a sheepish smile as he sat down.

Thomas smiled softly and lightly shook his head. "It's fine, but maybe you should make food when I'm helping... Okay?" He asked with a chuckle and began eating. He'd put some cherry jam into the porridge, and gosh, it was delicious! Fintan's meal only had a bit of sugar in, however. "Ah, you should pick what you want into your rice." He said after a little bit and smiled. The brunet held up a spoon of his rice and looked at the other. "Try this."

Fintan blushed a bit in embarrassment but nodded his head in agreement to the others words "Okay..." he agreed with a small smile, still feeling a little bad thought. He'd only been trying to cook for the other, but ended up creating a bit hassle instead. He looked to the spoonful when the other mentioned it, and smiled, leaning forward and trying it, eyes widening a bit in delight "mm, thats really good! Why does yours taste so much sweeter? What did you do to do that?" he asked, wanting to do the same to his own.

Thomas couldn't help but grin at his boyfriend's reaction. "I put some jam in. Here." He said with a smile as he reached for the jar and gave it to Fintan... Well, after he unscrewed the lid. "Put in one spoon at first, then if it's not enough, put in more. You don't want to get too much..." The brunet talked as he continued eating his rice. Soon enough his eyes closed and he drowned in the flavor of the meal. Simple, yet delicious. Just how he liked it... "Ah, I'm going to book myself some performances for this week. I'm kind of in debts..."

Fintan smiled a bit as he did as the other instructed, putting one spoonful in. Trying it like that, he smiled in delight at the sweeter taste. He decided to add a little bit more, before he decided it was good enough and he began eating. He continued to eat the rest of the rice meal, licking his lips as he finished it, before glancing to the other when he spoke about performances "Oh...that's great. Do you need me to help with anything?" he asked, wondering if there was something he could do to help the other get out of debt and back on a normal financial road without them and all.

Thomas smiled and shook his head, then suddenly a thoughtful expression came over his face. "Actually... You could gather some of those big shells and I'd try selling them. Could you?..." He asked hesitantly, unsure if Fintan would even agree to this. The brunet felt a bit guilty when asking for a favor from his boyfriend. "I mean, if you really don't mind... I-I won't ask you to do it if you don't want to." Thomas' uncertainty was showing pretty clearly as he looked down at his meal, nervous and anxious again.

Fintan smiled a bit as he looked to his lover when he asked about the shells, and he nodded his head, though noticed the other seemingly getting worried and anxious after having asked him and everything. He blinked a bit, tilting his head, before smiling a bit "I really don't mind, Thomas" he said, reaching over and putting his hand on the others with a soft smile "I'll go get a bunch. I can even get some more for Bella, I want to go see her again and see how she's doing" he said with a small smile.

Thomas didn't look up until there was a hand placed on his own. His uncertain gaze was slowly lifted up to Fintan while he managed a smile and moved his hand to take the other's into his own. "Okay... Thank you." He muttered softly and gently kissed Fintan's hand. The brunet smiled slightly before letting go to continue eating. "I don't think I have anything for lunch. You mind if we get some food after our date?" He asked with a soft smile. He felt like he was in college all over again... Broke, terribly in love, with mixed feelings.

Fintan smiled a bit at the other when he seemed to relax and believe him. He nodded his head again to assure the other "Theres plenty of different types of shells down their. What do humans typically like and find fascinating? I'll look for more shells oriented to their interests so their more likely to sell" he said as he went back to his own food as well. When hearing him mention food after their date he nodded again "Sure, whatever you want" he said with a soft smile.

Thomas couldn't stop the soft smile from appearing on his face as he watched his boyfriend with such honest softness in his eyes, it was almost unreal. The brunet let out a breathy chuckle before glancing away. "People like bigger shells, maybe with some a bit more interesting patterns... Like, so the color isn't completely plain." The man said before putting in the spoon with rice into his mouth. He smiled at Fintan even then, unable to hold it back. God, he really was stupidly in love.

Fintan smiled a bit as he listened to the other and nodded his head "Alright, I'll keep that in mind. I can go out and get them later today if thats okay with you..." he said, trying to think of other things "Do humans like jewlery? I can make all kinds of things with shells, even just simple decoration things..." he said with a smile, getting really excited and into this whole idea of helping Thomas with his financial issues. Fintan actually did use to work as an artist in the sea to create jewelry with shells and all sorts of others things. It was really fascinating what he could do with just some shells.
