Thomas blinked in surprise as the other kissed his cheek. He slowly raised his gaze up to Fintan and let out a small, rather shy smile at what he said. A soft blush appeared on his cheeks as well as he leaned in closer and pressed their lips together for what couldn't be called anyway else than an “I love you“ kiss. When Thomas pulled back from it, he chuckled lightly and pecked the merman's nose. “I love you too... If you say that's fine, well, who am I to fight about it any longer?“ The pianist asked with a chuckle as he pulled Fintan close and continued eating.

Fintan smiled a bit, adoring the cute blush that painted Thomas' cheeks. He kissed him back livingly, smiling into the kiss a bit as he snuggled close beside him and continued eating. He glanced to the piano sitting in the corner of the room, before glancing back to Thomas. He didn't say anything, just continueing eating for a bit, before glancing to the other "Will you play me a song?" he asked with a little smile "I haven't heard you play in so long..." he asked, hoping the other would say he would. He loved hearing the other play.

Thomas blinked a few times when he heard the request and smiled softly. “Of course~ I've been working on a new song for a while... I hope you like it.“ The man said softly as he finished hiss coffee and slipped out of the bed. While smiling lightly to himself, hiss fingers began running over the keys and a wonderful melody began. It wasn't perfect, it wasn't completely done either, but it was so filled with love... Thomas smiled as he slowed down, the melody slightly darker, sadder, until suddenly it became light, happy, and ended with something calm like the sea when there was no wind. The pianist smiled to himself as he glanced over to Fintan. “Did you like this?“

Fintan's smile brightened a bit more when the other said that he would play him a song. He set the tray of now empty dishes to the side, sitting up a bit in bed as he smiled and listened to the other play the song. He watched the other, enjoying the song before clapping his hands together a bit at the end when the other had finished and turned to him, asking. "It was beautiful! Everything you play is" he said with a smile, and a small blush on his cheeks, embarrassed at how cheesy he sounded. It really was true though, and Fintan enjoyed everything the other played on the piano, he was really quite skilled and talented.

Thomas blinked a few times at the compliment before chuckling softly. "Oh, that's just a shameless lie." He teased the other before standing up to claim his lips into another kiss. The brunet smiled softly into it as he sighed out softly. "Now, let's go take a bath." The pianist smiled widely as he grabbed Fintan into his hands and, while humming, made his way into the bathroom. "Well, I can't wait for a hot, relaxing bath with you...“ He chuckled while seating the other on the toilet seat. The older male hummed softly to himself as he began pouring in hot water to fill the tub, also adding in some vanilla scented oil. “Ah, you'll turn to your merman form here, right?“ Thomas asked with a light chuckle.

Fintan smiled a bit "Is not~ You know It's true, as humble as you are" he said as he took the others hands and got up, following him to the bathroom. He sat on the toilet with the lid down as he watched the other start the water into the bath and pouring some things into it. When asked about turning into his merman form, he nodded his head "Yeah, thats right. Is that a problem?" he asked as he tilted his head slightly. Maybe the other didn't really want to be so close to him in that form.

Thomas blinked and shook his head. “Why would that be a problem? It's who you are.“ He chuckled softly before stopping the bathroom once the tub was filled. “Come here, let's get in.“ The pianist smiled as he got into the bath first and let out a content sigh. “The water's a bit hot... I hope you don't mind..“ He mumbled lazily while waiting for the other to come in. “Hmm... What would happen if you only had one leg in? Would you get half your tail or something?“ Thomas thought out loud while staring at the ceiling. “Weird...“

Yuuta smiled a bit at the others reactoin and nodded his head "nothing" he smiled getting up and sitting on the edge of the tub as it was filled "I just thought you might be uncomfortable with it" he said, rubbing the back of his head "I thought maybe...i don't know, you prefer me as human, like you..." he muttered, not sure how to indirectly say he thought the other only loved him as human. He was relieved to hear that didn't seem to be the case though, and he stepped into the water, leaning back against the other. He laughed at the others comment shaking his head as his body transformed "No, it isn't like that at all. I'd still have my whole tail" he said.

“Nonsense. I don't prefer you in any way, you're you and I like every side and form!“ Thomas said with a small frown. He huffed while waiting for the other to get in. The pianist smiled as he wrapped his arms around the merman's waist. He chuckled softly and gently pecked his neck. “But that doesn't make sense. I mean, if one leg stays dry, it can't change, right?“ The taller male argued as he slid one hand over the other's tail in fascination. “It still seems a bit weird.. This whole thing is weird!“ He said with a soft laugh. “But I can't complain, can I?“

Fintan smiled as the other stated how he liked every form of his. He sat in the water, his scales seeming to sparkle as they reflected light. He leaned back against the other, smiling a bit "That's true. I thought you meant if I had a leg amputated. All that would really probably happen to my tail is some of the fins might be gone, a little damaged. As for if i got wet except for one leg, what would happen is, that leg would stay as is, of course, but my other, in a way i guess you could consider it half of my tail, but it would look whole, not like the center still was open and needed to be attached or anything..." he trailed off, not sure how to explain it. He didn't think he ever would have to explain how his body worked. At the touch of the others hand on his tail, he smiled a bit, closing his eyes as he enjoyed the feeling. To a merman, it was probably a little more sensual, and sexual than Thomas had intended it to be. He knew the other was probably just admiring the scales, or something of that extent.

Thomas nodded in fascination as he listened to the other explain. All the while, he was unconsciously stroking Fintan's tail, gently letting his fingertips slide over the smooth scales. It seemed that the other was enjoying it, anyway. He smiled softly as he noddd a few times and pressed a light kiss to his neck. “I see...“ He muttered out softly before gently kissing his cheek. “Well, you answered my weird question, thank you. Not everyone really does that.“ He said softly before closing his eyes. “Ahh, it feels so nice to soak here...“

Fintan just smiled a bit as he listened to the other talk, closing his eyes as he leaned back and enjoyed the feeling of the others hand running across his scales lightly. He hummed softly, smiling a bit when he felt the kiss to his neck and cheek "To you it's probably not such a weird question" he said with a shrug of his shoulders, tilting his head back and smiling at the other "Hey...when will you let me teach you how to swim?"

Thomas froze slightly at the question before moving his hands around the other's waist. “I don't really want that..“ He muttered out softly. The pianist seemed to be nervous about it... It was all because his beloved sister nearly drowned once, and he did too. They were both really little back then, but it left such a clear memory that he didn't even want to try again. Back then he tried to save his sister but he couldn't swim. Needless to say, he thought he was going to die then... It really was scary.

Fintan frowned a bit when the other seemed to tense up and go quiet. He didn't want to? He pouted slightly as he sat up and turned around to face the other a bit more "Please?" he said softly "I bet you'll love water once you know how to swim" he said. He didn't let the other know this, but, him saying he didn't like water, was like him saying he didn't like part of who he was, his house and his home, where he lived. "How much safer can you learn to swim than with a merman?" he offered with a light smile "I'll be right there the whole time, and if your head even looks like your about to go underwater, I'll be there to catch you" he said with a smile.

Thomas was still scared, scared to even try, but... Hearing the other try to convince him so much, he supposed he could try at least once. The pianist let out a sigh of defeat and pressed his face into the other's shoulder. “Okay...“ He finally muttered out quietly, holding the merman tightly. “I'll try...“ Thomas said quietly as he closed his eyes and sighed before taking in deep breaths through his nose. “Just... Don't push me if I can't, okay?..“ He asked softly, still keeping his face hidden into Fintan's shoulder.

Fintan brightened up a bit and smiled more when the other said he would at least try. That was enough for Fintan. Smiling happily, he hugged the other closer, kissing his head softly "Of course, that's fine" he said with a smile "And we don't need to do it right away. Just at some point, I'd love for you to be in the water with me" he said with a light smile, laying back down again as he leaned against the other "I'll make sure nothing happens to you, I promise" he said with a soft smile.

Thomas took in a deep breath as he pulled away and, instead of giving a verbal answer, kissed the other softly. He put a hand on the other's cheek, gently deepening the kiss as his other hand held the merman by his waist. The pianist pulled back after quite a while only to leave a trail of soft kisses on Fintan's neck and back. “Thank you...“ He finally whispered out as he pressed one last kiss on the younger male's neck. “I love you...“

Fintan smiled a bit as he looked up at the other, and their lips soon met. He of course had no complaints, kissing the other back lovingly, smiling into it softly. Thomas really was an amazing man. He could go on forever about the things he loved about him. When the other pulled away, Fintan felt a warm sensation run through his chest at the others words. He smiled as he closed his eyes a bit in delight at the soft touches of lips to his skin on his neck and back. "I love you too" He murmured softly.

Days, weeks and months passed with Thomas and Fintan's relationship. The two of them grew closer, though one thing remained the same - Thomas was still scared to swim. He couldn't do it even once. However, the pianist got himself a cat... A cute little kitten, all black except for it's nose and paws. Fintan and Benjamin, the kitty, now both got equal attention... But today was special. Today was Bella's birthday. Just as planned, a party was arranged and Thomas with Fintan were driving to the hospital to take Bella. She was, sadly, not making a big step towards full health... Cancer wasn't something small, after all. Thomas just hoped there was still a way to save her...

Fintan had enjoyed every moment of his time on land with the other. He would occasionally go off to swim in the ocean. He never joined back with his family, simply, being a merman, he needed the ocean occasionally. But so far every time he had tried getting Thomas to swim, they hadn't really gotten far. The most Fintan got from the other was to go about mid-thigh length in the water, before Thomas couldn't handle it anymore. But he didn't give up hope, and still worked on getting the other to like the water, and learn to swim. Over the course of their time in their relationship, they hadn't really told anyone - except Bella really. As far as Fintan knew she was the only one that knew. Fintan wouldn't care if others knew though. Fintan was currently in the car with Thomas, heading to pick said girl up for her birthday party Thomas had planned.

Thomas turned his head to the merman and let out a soft smile. He pulled up the car in front of the hospital and, before getting out, gently kissed his boyfriend. “Let's go get our special girl.“ He said softly before opening the door and stepping outside. The pianist sighed out softly as he walked towards the entrance, lightly looking around. “You know, I never expected she'd get cancer. I knew that someone in our family died from it before, but... I still thought it was impossible.“ Thomas talked quietly, all he needed was to get this off his chest. “She's not really making a recovery, too... I'm scared she might die, Fintan. I'm really scared.“

Fintan smiled a bit, kissing his human boyfriend back with a light smile before they got out "I'm sure she'll love this. I'm glad she can get out of the hospital for even just a little bit" he said as he headed inside with the male. Hearing the other talk, he glanced to him, frowning a bit as he grew upset, as he always did when thinking about his sisters illness. He lightly grabbed hold of his hand, giving hima reassuring smile "I'm sure she'll be alright..." he said softly, squeezing his hand "So...if you don't mind me asking, everyone just keeps calling it cancer. But I don't really know what that means..." he trailed off. He didn't know it was actually an illness familiar to the merpeople as well, whom have found a cure to manage it - or, some types of cancer anyways.

Thomas looked down at the ground as he stopped, holding onto Fintan's hand. "Cancer... Well, first of all, I guess I should say her cancer type is the least common. We call it melanoma. See, there is kind of like a brown stain on her skin, and it's growing, as well as it's a bit above the skin surface." He began quietly, it was quite clear it hurt him to talk about it. "Doctors say it was caused by exposion to ultraviolet light... People died from this." The pianist said quietly before slowly pulling Fintant into a hug. "I've heard that she's been vomitting and getting tired easily... The doctors say her cancer might be spreading to other organs." He said quietly and lightly buried his face into the merman's shoulder. He hadn't told anyone else about that, and honestly... It was scary to say that.

Fintan frowned a bit as he listened to the other describe the disease that his sister had. He felt bad for making the other talk about her, but, having been for Thomas with a while now, and grown close to both him and his sister, he wanted to fully understand just what was happening to the sweet girl. But the more he listened to Thomas describe his sisters type of cancer and illness, he couldn't help but think of how similar it sounded to an illness that he and the other merpeople could get in the sea. But, all this time, Fintan had believed Bella's cancer was something so much more serious...everyone here on land was making it out to be. But, in the sea, to the merpeople it wasn't that serious, and was rather treatable, albeit, by rare sea plant life. But maybe that's why Bella's illness didn't catch his attention before? Because it wasn't such a serious thing in the sea that everyone freaked out over when someone got it.

Fintan was just spacing out, in his own world and thoughts as Thomas hugged him. He was brought out of his thought, feeling the other against him, and hugged him back. He cooed him lightly, kissing his head. He didn't think it'd be right to tell Thomas yet though...he could be wrong about his theories. And he didn't want to get the males hopes up only to have them crash down twice as hard. "I'm sorry for making you talk about it...but thank you" he spoke softly, hugging him tightly.

Thomas would've been overjoyed to know there was a way to cure his beloved sister. He shook his head a bit and smiled sadly while pulling away. "I should be the one saying sorry... You shouldn't have had to see me like this.." The young pianist said softly as he took Fintan's hand and put on a soft smile. "Let's go and take her, okay? I can't wait to at least give her the perfect birthday." The brunet smiled and gently kissed his boyfriend, feeling how his worry was slowly washed away. Fintan was like his drug in these situations... He smiled warmly and began walking to get Bella. Once there, he quickly greeted her and helped her stand before turning to Fintan. "Could you take that wheelchair in case we need it?"
