Fintan frowned a bit as the other spoke "Thats nonesense" he said, taking hold of the others hand as he pulled away, giving him a warm, comforting smile "I'm your boyfriend, aren't I? Which means I especially should see this side of you" he said, giving him a soft peck on the lips with a smile "I'm here for you, Thomas, and for your sister. You both are my family now" He said as he continued walking with the other back in the direction of Bella's room. Now there, Fintan greeted the girl as well, before grabbing the wheelchair. He waited to see if she wanted to use it now, or try walking for a bit "Are you ready to have the best birthday yet, Bella?" he said with a smile.

Thomas nearly teared up at what Fintan said - family... It was a pretty strong word, especially for a guy who's parents were basically gone. He only nodded at the merman's words as they walked to his sister. Bella didn't seem to happy about having to use a wheelchair, but agreed nevertheless. She smiled sweetly at Fintan and, before getting into the wheelchair, gave him a warm, long hug. "I've missed you both..." She murmured out, making her brother feel a bit guilty. True, they didn't visit her that often these days... The girl smiled widely at the question, trying not to show how bad she was actually feeling. "Of course! I can't wait..."

Fintan smiled a bit assuring at the other, seeing how much calmer and happier he had seemed with his words. Holding his hand, he had continued on into the room with the other, greeting Bella and everything. He blinked a bit, awkwardly hugging her back with a light smile as he opened up the wheelchair for her to sit on. He was glad to see her excitement of a response, but could tell she was just trying to fake through the pain and hide it through her façade. It made him hope all the more that he was right with his theories. He would talk to Bella about it privately later, to see if she would be willing to maybe try it if he were to go get it for her. The only thing was that it would take him a while to get it. The plants weren't local, and he'd have to go far, and going along in the sea was always dangerous, even as a merman. But for Bella, and for Thomas, he'd be willing to do it, to save their family from losing anyone else. As Bella got in the wheelchair, he gently pushed her along the hallways following Thomas as he led them to the party and all he had set up for her.

Thomas hummed softly to himself as he walked through the halls, politely greeting some of the staff members that already knew him quite well from all of his previous visits. The brunet couldn't believe how lucky he was for the owner to agree to lend him a hall for Bella's birthday! Of course, afterwards, they would take the celebration to the town, but the start still should be here... And apparently, they'd have two nurses tagging along in case something happened. It made Thomas feel both at ease and very tense... At ease because he knew Bella would be alright if something happened, and tense because that something could happen. When they finally reached the hall, Thomas smiled softly at his sister before slowly opening the door. "Happy birthday." He said softly just before a group of teenagers around the age of Bella began clapping and saying the same words. Bella sat in her wheelchair, slightly tearing up when she saw all around her - really, her brother was the best.

Fintan smiled as he gently pushed Bella along through the halls, the three of them casually conversing. He was sure that Bella had no idea what was about to happen. Fintan had come here earlier with Thomas to help him set up the whole place with decorations and everything. As Thomas opened the door, Fintan pushed Bella along inside before stopping, smiling as everyone greeted her, wishing her a happy birthday. Even Fintan wished her one as well, too, of course. He smiled a bit as the part soon began, a bunch of Bella's friends surrounding around her to talk with her, wish her all the best, such on and such forth. Fintan hadn't known the girl for long, but it was really nice to be able to see her so carefree, and enjoying herself.

Thomas smiled as he moved away to let Bella have her time with all her friends. Some of them had the same fate as she herself - cancer. Others were ones that were healed already, and some were from other sections. There was a guy in a wheelchair as well - just he would have it as a companion for the rest of his life. The brunet let out a soft sigh as he gently wrapped an arm around Fintan's waist and pressed a light kiss to his neck. "Thank you for coming with me here." He muttered out with a soft smile as he held his boyfriend close. They had a bit of time here, then they'd move on into the city. He had some calm activities planned out, and in the very end there would be a party, well, seeing as nothing happens until that.

Fintan smiled as he stood back to the side of the group of kids, leaving them be to talk amongst themselves and have their fun. He leaned back against the wall, before looking to Thomas who had moved beside him, slipping an arm around his waist. He glanced to the other, smiling a bit to him before lightly blushing at the sweet kiss to his neck "It's no problem...I'm really glad I could be here, for the both of you" He said with a light smile as he leaned into the other, resting his head on his shoulder as he smiled to himself, watching how much Bella was enjoying herself. He really did hope he could find that stuff for her. It was a rare type of sea-sponge - sort of, anyways. It looked like a sea sponge, but that's not exactly what it was.

Thomas smiled softly as he nodded a bit and let out a soft breath. "I love you..." He whispered out quietly before leaning in for a short, loving kiss. The pianist closed his eyes as he slid his hand down a bit to place it on Fintan's hip. "I really really do. In every way possible." He muttered out softly as he smiled and chuckled lightly. The brunet turned back to watch his sister for a bit before smiling, yet this time a sad smile. "She was always good at making friends quickly." He muttered out softly before gazing at the nurses. He gave them a quick motion towards the door and one instantly began pushing Bella's wheelchair to there. First there would be various board games to break the ice.

Fintan smiled a bit at the other, looking up at the other before blushing as the others words, and just how sincere and loving the other was with them. His face deepened a dark red in embarrassment at the others genuine love for him, and he shyly buried his face into the others chest, also hiding the large smile on his face, embarrassed to let the other see it and how much those words made his heart flutter "I love you too" He hummed softly, hugging close to the other. Soon enough they were leaving with Bella and heading out the door, so Fintan had pulled back from the other then so they could move and walk.

Thomas still kept an arm around Fintan's waist as they walked with Bella who seemed to be enjoying this so far. She was happily chatting with her friends, seemingly forgetting about her brother for the moment... But, he couldn't really complain. He liked seeing his sister this happy. The brunet smiled widely as their private bus drove by, and everyone was able to get in. Thomas with Fintan were left in the very back, since the bus wasn't too big. They drove for a while, and got out at a small park, where they were supposed to have a picnic and have some games. He was sure this would help the people to get to know each other better... "Hey, I got us a separate blanket and some snacks. Wanna go?" He muttered out quietly to Fintan as everyone else went happily through the park, chatting amongst themselves.

Fintan smiled a bit as he walked beside Thomas, moving with the group as the crowded into the travel bus. They arrived at a park a little while later, where they all got out and went about their ways. Fintan smiled watching Bella for a moment, glad she could finally get outside and leave the hospital, instead of just going outside to the gardens lousy garden for fresh air. He turned his attention back to Thomas as he spoke up, looking to him and smiled lightly with a nod "Sure" He said, motioning for the other to lead the way as he held his hand. When the other set the blanket up, he sat down beside him, smiling a bit "You're really a nice person, Thomas" he said with a sweet smile at the other "You must be the best brother out there."

Thomas was pleasantly surprised at Fintan's words before letting out a soft smile. "Well then, I hope I can become the best boyfriend some day as well." He said with a light chuckle as he pulled out some sandwiches, fruits, sweets and a bottle of carbonated water. "Go on, eat what you want." He said calmly before shifting and laying down to place his head on his boyfriend's lap. "Or do you want me to feed you?" He teased softly with a wink before laughing softly. The brunet closed his eyes for the moment as he took a sandwich and began eating quietly.

Fintan smiled a bit at the other and nodded lightly "No need, you already have" he said with a smile as he sat, and watched the other take out their food before placing his head in his lap. He smiled lightly, running a hand through the males hair gently as he grabbed a sandwich as well, and started to eat it. He leaned back on one hand, the other holding his food as he ate it. He blinked a bit at the others sudden teasing words, blushing deeply as he looked away, embarrassed by the others words as he took a bite of his sandwich again. After eating about halfway through it, he wondered how to bring up that he needed to leave, though, it wouldn't be permanently. "Hey Thomas..." He trailed off softly "what would you think if I said I needed to leave for a bit? Not this second, but, if I needed to go back to the sea for a little. It shouldn't be too long..." he trailed off.

Thomas smiled warmly when he felt fingers running through his hair. That felt nice... The brunet opened his eyes just in time to see Fintan blushing, however... And boy, did he like that view. His boyfriend was absolutely adorable! The pianist seemed completely relaxed as he continued eating peacefuly... Until Fintan said he needed to go back into the sea. At first Thomas felt damn scared of the idea. Was he going to leave him? Then the shorter male decided to add the detail of it not being too long. Thomas let out a small, calm smile before sighing out softly. "I'd ask why, but for some reason I don't think I'd get an answer." He said softly before smiling warmly. "As long as you come back, I'll wait. Promise me you'll be safe though." He asked softly while looking at Fintan with loving eyes. Who was he to keep his boyfriend always to himself?

Fintan looked to the other a bit worriedly when he spoke, hoping he wouldn't be bothered or upset by the idea. He smiled a bit, at ease knowing the other would allow him to go happily. running his hand through the others hair again, he nodded and smiled "Of course I'll come back. I could never stay away from you for long. I don't think I'd even want to go for this bit of time, but its important" He said as he finished his sandwich, before leaning down and kissing the others forehead "It will probably be good for me to be in the water for a while too. It shouldn't take more than...maybe two weeks?" he said, trying to think of the travel time and what not to get what it was he wanted.

Thomas chuckled softly as he nodded slightly, leaning into Fintan's touch. So calming... He smiled warmly at the kiss to his forehead - he hadn't received one like this ever since he was a kid. The pianist was about to nod again at what his boyfriend said, however the 'two weeks' caught his attention. His eyes shot open as he stared at his boyfriend with parted lips. "Two weeks?" He repeated, lightly lifting himself up. "What are you even going to do there for two weeks?..." He asked quietly, a hint of fear showing itself in his eyes. The brunet bit down on his lip as he reached out to lightly cup Fintan's cheek. "Is there something wrong?..."

Fintan smiled, continuing to gently run his fingers through the others hair, a soft smile on his face as he watched the other. But when he suddenly moved and shot up sitting beside him, he blinked a bit at the other, looking at him confused, and a little worried. Before hearing him repeat the duration he would probably need there in the sea, his eyes softened a bit with a slight sigh. He smiled, gently putting his hand over Thomas' that was on his cheek "Everything is fine...I just want to go help a friend out with something" he said. It technically wasn't a lie. He just failed to mentioned that that friend was specifically Bella, Thomas' sister. "Thomas...I'll be fine, I promise. But...the sea is my home, I'd like to see some friends, family too...that's why it will take a little longer...I know it may seem normal to thing I live on the land, but...when you ask what I'm going to do there for that long, it's just the same to me as if I were to ask you what you were going to do on land for two weeks...." he trailed off with a small frown. Things like this were a reminder to how different the two of them were, and it really worried and scared Fintan sometimes "I promise I'll come back. Just please wait for me....please try to understand."

Thomas couldn't help but feel sad at what Fintan said. No matter how much he would explain it, nothing was going to stop him from feeling upset about it. This was his boyfriend, after all... He wanted to be with him forever! The brunet closed his eyes as he sighed out softly, lightly stroking the other's cheek. "A friend... Huh?.." He repeated quietly to himself before opening his eyes only to look away. "I understand why you have to leave." The pianist said softly as he leaned closer and planted a soft kiss on Fintan's lips. "That doesn't mean I'll let you go with an easy heart..." The brunet smiled sadly as he got back into his previous position, his head on Fintan's lap. "Please promise me you'll be careful..." He murmured softly as he smiled weakly, then closed his eyes with a soft sigh. "Take your time, but... Don't forget about me."

Fintan sighed a bit as he listened to the other repeat his words about it being a friend. He clearly seemed worried about that idea, like he was just going to run off with this 'friend' of his. If he knew it was Bella he was talking about, how humorous that would be. He smiled and kissed the other softly "If it makes you feel any better, it's a female friend" he spoke a bit jokingly. He sighed a bit as the other still seemed upset by all of it, and it upset Fintan a bit that the other seemed so insecure that he couldn't trust him about this. He sighed a bit, and idly ran his hands back through the others hair as he looked away again "I know..." he muttered softly. He found himself rather down now, after talking about this with the other. When he even asked him not to forget about him, he frowned more, trying not to get any more upset than he already was with the others distrust "Of course I wont, stop being ridiculous, Thomas" he sighed.

Thomas chuckled quietly when the other told him the "friend" he was helping was in fact a girl. A female. Someone Fintan wouldn't be interested in any more than platonically. "Don't worry, I know you wouldn't cheat..." The pianist chuckled quietly as he shook his head and smiled. Slowly, the brunet realized he made his boyfriend upset. Thomas lifted himself up slightly, looking at the merman with a soft sigh leaving his lips. "I'm sorry..." He murmured out quietly as he pressed a gentle kiss against Fintan's lips. "I just don't know what I'm gonna do without you for the whole two weeks. Who will listen to me play in the mornings? Who can I wake up with a kiss when you're gone?" Thomas asked before sighing softly and leaning close for a soft kiss. "I just love you too much to be able to easily let go, even if just temporarily."

Fintan managed a small smile as he looked at the other. The other spoke up a bit more, seeming to realize how Fintan was starting to feel from the others previous reaction. He smiled a bit more at the words and wrapped his arms around the other, hugging him close as he kissed him "I know...I'm sorry I have to go for a while...But I'll be as fast as I can. And It's not like I'll be gone forever. It will only be two weeks" he said as he kissed him once more "This way you can see Bella more often for a bit, instead of having to spend time with me that you could be spending with her" he spoke as he smiled a bit "I'll be back before you know it" He assured.

Thomas slowly eased into his boyfriend's touch, his own arms wrapping around the thin body gently, lovingly. He breathed out quietly, resting his forehead against Fintan's shoulder. "Those two weeks will seem like eternity if you're not here." The brunet murmured softly, pulling the other a bit closer, lightly running his fingers over his back. What Fintan said about his sister made him freeze up for a while. Could it be Fintan felt... Guilty about it? "Sweetie..." Thomas murmured softly as he lifted his head up, looking straight into the other's eyes with a firm expression. "You do know she doesn't mind it that much, right? I... I mean, she has her own friends there, and we go for a visit sometimes! She doesn't ask for more... She knows I'm happy with you." The brown-eyed male said it quietly, while holding onto the merman. "So... Don't say that, okay?"

"I know, and not a day will go by that I don't think about you either. Please don't get too worked up over it, I will be back, I promise. I wont ever leave you...unless you wanted me too, of course" he said, running a hand through the others hair with a soft sigh. When the other shifted to look at him a bit more seriously, and spoke about visiting his sister and everything, he frowned a bit as he looked at his lap "I'm sorry, I didn't mean anything by it, it's just..." he trailed off with a soft sigh, going silent for a moment before looking back up at him "You just always say how you miss your sister when were not visiting her. And how much you want to see her, and visit..." he murmured. "I never wanted to take that away from you. So, I was just thinking how good it would be, that I would be gone for a bit, so you don't have to stress over spending time with me or anything..." he spoke with a small smile.

"As if I'd ever want you to leave, stupid." Thomas muttered out with a quiet sigh as he leaned closer, pressing a kiss to his lips. "I'll always want you to be with me. Ten years later... Twenty... Even fifty years later I'll still want you here, with me." The brunet talked with a soft smile, gently stroking the other's hair. A sad, small smile spread across his face as he listened to his boyfriend. He brought his arms around the smaller body again, pulling him towards himself. "How do you expect me to choose between the two people I love most? When I'm with you, I want to see her... But when I'm with her, I want to see you! When we're all together... I guess only then can I really be happy." Thomas said softly, pressing a few gentle kisses to Fintan's head and face. "I love you both, I don't want to lose either of you..." He whispered softly. He knew that he could lose both Fintan and Bella very easily. Fintan wasn't from here, and Bella had cancer... It was only a matter of time until they both left him alone here.

Fintan couldn't help but smiled a bit when the other called him stupid for even mentioning the thought of the other wanting him to leave. He was glad the other wanted nothing of him leaving, and it really did reassure him, the others words. But part of him still worried, as he didn't know what the future held for their relationship, being from two different types of worlds and all. He listened to the other explain about his sister, and how he loved seeing them both, and couldn't choose. He smiled a bit bitterly, kissing him softly "I'm sorry...I never meant to make you have to choose or anything. I didn't want to make things harder for you" he said and hugged him, enjoying the comfort his warmth brought in the embrace "I love you" he murmured softly against the others ear as he hugged him.
