Of eleven brothers, two grew up extremely close with one another, always found together though they were not close in age. They believed it was just brotherly love but soon they realized they had fallen in love with one another. Incest was a taboo where they live, against the law and worthy of execution. Were they ordinary peasants, their chances of continuing their affair elsewhere would have been possible. But as two Princes, people of status, they are unable to leave their lives behind for love. Unable to show affection to one another publicly, they can only declare their love in secret.

 

This roleplay will be between the two Princes trying to love one another without exposing their affair to the public or anyone else.

- Szae -

Born to the sixth Concubine as the seventh son of the King, he is 21 years old and goes nearly unnoticed. With his long, curly, bronze hair and dark brown eyes he resembles his mother. The only feature he has that is different is that his skin is lightly tanned. The slight feature keeps him from being as noticeably beautiful as his mother. He does not stand out amongst his brothers as being the best at anything. He tries to be a good Prince, hardly ever being difficult.

 

He is the uke in the relationship being the younger and less experienced one. Though not naive, he has not had many relationships. Most of them were only with courtesans from his father's harlem. Playing around is seen as healthy for a man so he is bordering being seen as abnormal but not quite there to be noticed.

The darkness faded into a bright glow as Szae opened his eyes. Hazily, the roof of the canopy came into view once more and he found himself faced with morning. He despised the morning but he knew his attendant would nag if he lingered in bed for too long. The man always did, finding reasons to bicker at him. Well, it was his job to raise the boy and the job he did well. Szae never came up in the King's discussions over what naughty things his children were up to again. Sometimes he cursed Dren, his attendant, for being so good at his job but at the same time he loved how Dren knit picked at everything he did. It meant there was at least the one man who cared enough about him to pay him any attention.

 

Though Szae knew Dren wasn't the only one. His brother cared, or at least he seemed to care. Szae was more or less neglected by everyone as a child, never being able to stand out like the Prince he was. But to one brother, he was never left in the shadow. They were always together. Never did Szae feel alone though he was not pampered as much as a Prince should be. He never felt upset that he didn't get to see the King every night before he went to sleep. In fact, he hardly even saw the man once a month. But none of that mattered to him as long as he had his mother, his brother, and Dren.

 

That didn't mean the King wasn't important to him, that he didn't love the man. He just thought he could live on even if the man disappeared from his life, since he was hardly there to begin with. The King was still his father though so he never dared to think about disobedience. If the King wanted him to secure an alliance with another kingdom, he'd do it. But... not this time, not with the way it was being planned this time.

 

He groaned into his pillow as he remembered the news he'd received last night. He was going to have to marry the princess from the neighbouring country to settle the alliance. It was the only time he'd ever been noticeable enough to be put to use by his father and the man was sending him away. He was very upset at that idea but what upset him more was the fact that he had to part with the love of his life. He'd only recently discovered his love for brother. And though incest was against the law, he didn't want to discard his feelings. Most people, upon discovering their incestuous feelings would jump at the idea of marrying someone else far away to rid themselves of the feelings but Szae just couldn't. He'd never wanted much in his life before, never asking for more than his brothers and especially not his sisters. Finally finding something to long for, he couldn't abandon the want that simply.

 

Still unwilling to part with his bed, he heard Dren knock on the door. "Mmm... come in," he mumbled the words as the attendant opened the door. As he'd prepared himself for, Dren cleared his throat and stood silently by the foot of his bed. It was the wordless warning to get himself out of bed quickly should he still want to have breakfast. Szae loved food, so skipping breakfast was the worst punishment Dren could dish out. He grudgingly rolled out of bed, enticing another clearing of Dren's throat for the unseemly act. "I know, I know. I'm just not a morning person," the Prince sighed out as he straightened himself. Starting for the washroom, he walked passed Dren but stopped short of the act.

 

Curious whether his brother knew of the arranged marriage, he asked Dren cautiously, "Does... my brother know about it? The marriage for the alliance." He looked at the attendant, not sure what answer he was hoping for.

 

"If news has not reached him yet, it will soon. The whole Palace at the least should have heard of it by now but there may be some delays. Nonetheless, he will know soon enough." The reply was even more worrisome now. Szae was left without a proper answer, allowing himself to fret over it throughout the day. Dren added, "my lord, you shall know after you've eaten your breakfast. There is a meeting to discuss the affair immediately after." It came as reassurance and a threat to hurry himself. Szae scampered off to the washroom, avoiding any more unnecessary scolding.

Born as the sixth song to the king, Jay was hardly noticed as well. He was the king's and a raven haired woman's results. He is 24 years old. He has black hair, like his mother and her soft, light mocha eyes. He also has ivory skin, light freckles or birth marks. He is the Seme of of the relationship. He also has not had many relationships either, he is pretty loyal to the love of his brother. He is quite taken by Szae as well. That is until, the news of his marriage is to come to him.

He was just getting ready for the day, before his male servant came to wake him. Instead, he just got straight to the recent gossip of the castle and orders from the king over Szae's upcoming marriage over an alliance, no less. Jay was on his way to the breakfast area that he would usually meet Szae at for breakfast. All though, his stomach was not craving food after the news he had received that morning. Soon, he became franticly running to find his younger brother or any sign of his servant’s whereabouts.

 

Jay was a little bit winded from the running, but he composed himself and rested on the wall of the door he would be soon joining in through. He just looked at his brother with pleading eyes. 'Please don't do it.' He thought to himself as he looked at him from a far. 'So, I just have to make my last days, hours, and minutes count with Szae." He thought ended up, coming out spoken as he walked up to him and sat down, letting his servant serve him his breakfast, only after trying it of course. That came blurting out as he stood from the table next to his brother and by surprise.

 

He handed over his dishes to his servant to go wash. He expected Szae to do the same to his servant Dren, so they would have some time alone in Jay’s study to speak or just head over to the meeting, the marriage for an alliance being the topic at hand.
