KazegawaRen
Love fashion? Drama? Talent? Don't worry, we've got you covered. Welcome to the very first season of... Behind the Scenes A reality TV show where aspiring menswear clothing designers compete to become the next big thing in the fashion world, Behind the Scenes is a chance in a lifetime. We've already chosen three designers through a rigorous audition. Now, these three designers will participate in difficult challenges until one emerges as the winner, winning a grand prize of a holiday for two to a resort in the Bahamas, a five-year contract with LIT Men's Magazine, and one million dollars! Stay tuned, the show is just beginning... How This Works: -The show is set in America. (Japanese characters are still very welcome though) -Posting will be turn-based, meaning we have a posting order. -Every few "days" in the roleplay, there will be a new designing challenge. Instead of being eliminated, designers will be ranked by judges. Each challenge, there is a winner, loser, and safe. The judges assign points accordingly, but the actual value is not revealed. Whoever has the most points at the end of the show is the winner. (This is the system I've thought of that would work best without elimination, for the sake of roleplaying, but if anyone else has a better idea, please share!) -There will be 12 challenges (chosen arbitrarily, so let me know if anyone would prefer a different number). -Each "episode" will have several components: challenge reveal and model selection/lottery, shopping for fabrics, work day, show, judging, confessionals. -Models stay with the designers in the room for fittings, but are not allowed to assist in the clothes making process unless otherwise specified. -Some workdays will be cut short, so the designers and models can have time to relax and recharge. The Rules -I reserve the right to control the logistics, setting, and flow of the roleplay. I doubt I will much, but I want this roleplay to be a success, so if I see that something needs direction, I will speak up. Of course, this does not mean I will ever godmod. -Unless someone's interested in it (and I would love it if someone was), I will be playing the side-characters for the show. For now, that means the host, judges, producers, and camera crew. There are 6 open spots (I know it's unrealistic for a show, but for the purposes of realistic roleplaying, I think this is wiser). There will be 3 designers and 3 models. I want to keep things even, so for now, I'll leave 2 seme, 2 seke, and 2 uke spots open. -Because posting is turn-based, please please PLEASE do not join unless you can commit to at least a post every three days. In my experience, group roleplays die very easily, so I will be generally stricter about this. Of course, extenuating circumstances that affect roleplay activity can and will happen, but a fair warning beforehand will be highly appreciated, so we can adjust. Please have consideration for the other 5 people that are participating in the roleplay! -There will be the occasional confessional. They are not necessary for every turn. For more obvious times (i.e. the intros), I might prompt everyone to write a confessional, but otherwise, I leave it to your prerogative. -The shorter workdays are meant to be for...ahem...free time. For scenes where some characters have more involved posting and others do not, turn-based posting can be put on hold so that the roleplay can run more smoothly without filler posts. These times will be discussed in OOC. -If you choose a model, please keep in mind that these are professional male models. Thus, there will be no traps or crossdressers. These are the type of men you see in suits, not skirts. Please make your character with this in mind. (Not to say that he can't wear a skirt ever, but he should be identifiable as a man without you needing to feel him up.) -Winners will be chosen by random (random number generator!), unless everyone would rather have a set winner for everyone to know. Guest OkataShin
May I join? I'd like to give this one a try. And I'm very literate, so is it okay if I write something like 2039432984792348 sentences per post? Also, I hope you don't mind that I added some stuff to the CS? *bows* If it bothers you, I'll delete them right away! Appearance: Appearance: Just like in the picture, and the clothes in the picture above are more like his daily-clothing. He has got three tattoos, one on his right arm (two dragons, intertwined together), and also "PUNK" tattooed to his chest with rugged letters. The third one is the back of his neck: a yin yang -sign. Name: Lee Yin Age: 24 Position: Seke (More a seme, but can be uke if needed) Hometown: Shanghai Occupation: Designer Personality: Yin has a crude temperament; he’s honest and blunt with his opinions, even when he doesn’t need to be. While honesty could easily be a positive aspect, it can be negative as well. Yin also finds being gentle difficult, which is understandable when you think about his past, so turning a soft hand isn’t the easiest feat. He’s not someone who's interested in being social with people who don't catch his interest. His general personality is pretty indifferent, but not actually cold. BUT only if you don't get on his bad side. If you do that... Well be prepared for the coldest treatment you could ever get. He finds it hard to show his emotions, especially romantic ones. Although he’s likely to not admit it, he’s hardly dated at all in the past. He's more comfortable with "one-night stands". To put it simply, he does not know how to show affection, including giving hugs or any other physical affection. When a situation like that occurs, Yin is stiff and unsure. He also avoids small, delicate things like children or tiny animals, as he feels he shouldn’t be allowed to be around them. He's afraid of their fragility and believes it’d be better to never miss them, they’ll break anyways so why put in the effort? This is also part of a reason for his sexual orientation. "Women are fragile, they can be broken too easily." Experience: He has been working for small companies/shops, but felt that his work wasn't valued enough, and decided to go and apply for the tv-show. Style/image: Punk, street-style and a little bit of everything mixed. The same with one word: Peculiar. History: Ever since Yin was a child, he never got to know what is real love. His mother died after giving birth to him, and his father was almost never home, being the leader of a big company. "Women are fragile, they can be broken too easily." Were the words which his father said to him when Yin asked that how he felt about having lost mom. He has always done all of his own clothes by himself. Or well, actually he has been doing clothes and accessories ever since he was 11, but that's like forever isn't it? When he became a teenager, his life took a new way. He became a rebel. He started to smoke, drink alcohol and get into fights daily. He was eventually kicked out of the junior high school where he had just started at. After a few years, he found noticed that he wasn't attracted to women, but instead of the opposite sex, he liked his own. and Because of this his father beat him up. His father had really never showed any interest in his life, but when it came to pride, and his boy was a "filthy faggot", he got furious. After getting beat up by his father, Yin ran away from home and started to live on the streets. He fought everyday, but still managed to find time to work in a small dressmaker's shop and make a living. Barely. He moved to America when he turned 18, and started to work for different companies and shops, but felt like he didn't get enough appreciation to his work, which is why he changed work places often. Now he's participating in "Behind the scenes", and hoping to win it. And if you want to know about his history in love-life... Well don't even bother, it's nonexistent. To him it has always been only sex. He thinks if he doesn't find his "yang" (the other half of his tattoo, because he's Yin) then he'll never find love. He has already actually lost his faith in love. (the symbolic meaning of his tattoo is really to remind him of love, which can be still found some day
KazegawaRen
Whoa, actually your cs is better than mine... I think that I will have to use it too. And your character is great, thanks for participating.
