Kizoku
Title: Yes, Forever Series Author: Bailey Bradford There are 5 books from the Yes, Forever! Please, enjoy! :hamtaro-005 (10): Plot: Just when John Weston thinks he’s got it all together, he learns he’s really just buried his head in the sand. John Weston has been using his past behaviour as a weapon against himself. He’s not wanted to fall back into old habits and ways that nearly destroyed him. That’s why he’s kept to himself for the past two years. Little by little, things happen that begin to make him see what he’s really done—wall himself off in such a way that he no longer knows how to be around people outside of his job and his family. One man will come along and rattle John’s self-imposed cage, and start John on a journey of self-discovery and acceptance he didn’t even know he needed. John will have to take risks instead of hide away, and learn that making mistakes doesn’t mean he’s a lost cause. It simply means he’s a man who can feel more than he’d ever thought he could. Plot: Confused, hurt and suddenly attracting more men than he has in years, John’s life is beginning to spin out of control. John hadn’t known what he wanted when Benji came over asking if he wanted to get off, but he certainly hadn’t wanted things to ends badly like they did. Now he’s got more issues than he knows what to do with, and to make matters worse—or maybe better—John’s family has decided his love life, or lack thereof, needs investigating and meddling into. Benji—he’s in John’s thoughts too often, but Benji had been clear about not wanting any strings. He couldn’t make it any clearer when John sees him in the lobby one morning. John finds himself having a date with an attractive older man, and trying to let go of thoughts about Benji. Benji sure isn’t thinking about him. The odd date ends awkwardly, for John at least, and he realises he has to start thinking about everything he says he wants, and what he really wants. Plot: From zero to sixty in record time—well, it’s really from no man to two in a matter of days, and it’s got John’s world turned upside down! Confused and angry, John goes home after an odd encounter with an older man. He’s pretty sure he didn’t like it, exactly. Maybe. Benji seems to have moved on, and John knows he should too, but he can’t stop thinking about the contradictory man. Finding another note from Benji doesn’t help. John knows he’s made mistakes, and he’s learning that he has been lying to himself for years. Slowly, he realises there are things he has to admit, and change. First, though, he has to talk to Benji. John won’t have any peace until he and Benji make some sort of peace. If his heart is telling him he truly wants something more, John doesn’t see how that can work, not when Benji makes it clear he’s interested, but only in a part of John. But John can’t give up, something about Benji calls to him like no one else ever has. Plot: Depression grabs John by the ankles, and Benji’s hot and cold turns are driving John deeper into hopelessness. John and Benji begin a strictly sexual relationship. Benji is calling the shots, and John knows if he wants any of Benji at all, he has to follow along docilely. Except his mood plummets, and when it doesn’t seem to improve any, and after he makes a series of mistakes at work, John has to face the fact that he might be having a recurrence of depression. An ass chewing by his boss and one psychiatrist’s visit later, John has his diagnosis and a prescription for new medication to help him out. There is no easy cure, he knows that, but he won’t turn down the help the medicine can give him. A steamy, powerful encounter between John and Benji changes things between them, and Benji is going to cut him off and run, John knows it. He’s not going to give the man up so easily, though, not now that he’s found one of the things that makes Benji tick… Plot: Making up his mind to get what he wants—who he wants—and going after it are two entirely different things. Struggling with depression and adjusting to new meds, John finds his resolve to convince Benji of his sincerity. It’s hard enough to drag himself out of bed each day, and the medication makes him sluggish, which doesn’t help. But it also begins to stabilise him, to ease back the depression and help John to see what he wants and what he’s been lying to himself about. The things people do and tell themselves to help them cope can also confine and constrain them. John wants no tethers save the love of one man. He’ll need to come clean with himself, and with Benji. Talking is so much more difficult than fucking, but John will do whatever it takes to bring him and Benji together.
