Saga
Note; I love martial arts and history. Most of my RP's are historical. For some time now I am thinking of 'a blind fighter'. If you have watched House of Flying Daggers or read the manga Ichi (which is a bit similar to Zatoichi) you would know what I mean. Unlike many of the requirements, that kind of have their main character be the character of the RP creator, I want the main character to be YC. In other words, you will be the beautiful, blind fighter. However, your character will pretend to be a woman. Well, until my character happens to...find out. Year: 1700 Country: China Genre: Martial arts || Historical || Action || Trap || Yaoi History of Ichi (YC): Ichi is a rumored beautiful, blind fighter. But no one lived to state how he looks. Ichi appears to be a lone singer who has come to China dressed as a woman, he carries only a shamisen (a traditional Japanese stringed instrument) and a walking stick with a hidden blade inside. A runaway after his village had been destroyed from the Dragon clan. His purpose to come to China is to find the old leader of the Tiger clan with a request to form an army, seeking revenge on the Dragon clan who killed his sword master (who is actually his father). History of Zin (MC): Zin is a splendid kung-fu fighter and an orphan. The right hand of the Tiger clan's leader. Peaceful and loyal, he often has to take care of different requests - be it assassinating someone or even sending beautifully written love letters to his master's women. In other words, Zin has to guard not only his master's life but even his image. The Tiger clan's master however prefers to have Zin as a secret assassin, so Zin is forbidden to fight in public. He can stay in the palace only as the clan's scribe. Thus he spends most of his time in the household library.
Tama
This is relevant to my interests. (Particularly because Chinese things.) How historically accurate/close to the Flying Daggers idea were you thinking for this?
Tama
Ok! Here's my character for this RP: Ichi, the Blind Songstress. Age. Unknown (looks to be late teens to early twenties) Many have heard the song of the beautiful woman who calls herself Ichi; a regular in the beautiful places of the "floating worlds" of Kyoto and Edo, her ability with the shamisen and her sweet songs of a simpler life in the mountains and plains of Sakoku (Chained County-a period in which Japan isolated itself from the rest of the world) have brought her many admirers. That, and she is a rare and unusual beauty, with a wit and intelligence to match. A catch for any man. Ah, but alas, they say, both to her face and to each other, she is blind, her only taint, but enough to dissuade all the men who admire her from attempting to ask for her hand in marriage. Still, she makes her way from pleasure house to pleasure house, and bar to bar, feeling her way with the cane she is never seen without, and, despite her blindness, is the talk of many in both cities. Yet, there are whispers in the dark places, far from the light of the "floating world", that tell of a different Ichi, a savage swordsman, a masterless young man who works, not for coin, but for his own motives. An elegant young man, pretty enough to be a woman, a master with the blade. Few have ever met the blind swordsmaster, and lived, and his victims His only connection with the young songstress is that both are blind, trusting their skills with their chosen weapons. And beneath their respective masks lies a secret. They are one and the same. For the last two moons, however, the bars and pleasure houses and other places where young and old men gather to drink and talk, have remained silent, devoid of the beautiful voice and pleasant playing, and some wonder where their beloved Ichi has gone... The reason, as with all the best stories, is revenge...on the people that killed his village. Long before he took up the guise of a beautiful woman, Ichi had lived peacefully in China, with his family, a lineage of swordmasters, teaching a technique almost a millenia and a half old. The leader of the Dragon Clan, merciless and hungry for power, had sought this technique, only to be turned away. In revenge, they had attacked the village in the night, killing all but the young boy, who, wounded, and apparently blinded made his way to Japan. Penniless, he was taken in by a teacher of Geisha, who slowly but surely taught the young man how to act like a woman, play the shamisen, and to sing, and then, pleased with her work, introduced the young "woman" to several friends of hers, who, taken with her beauty, allowed her to play, attracting many customers. At the same time, the young man, named Ichi by his teacher, honed his skill with the blade, protecting the weak against others. Over a period of time, despite the isolation of Japan, Ichi began to learn of the Tiger clan, and their war against the Dragon Clan, and began to plan his return. To exact revenge. To avenge his family and village. But for this...he would need to gain the trust and support of the Tiger clan. Fortunately, as Ichi well knows...there's more than one way to win allies... Saga

Name: Zin Wu.

Age: 25.

Clan: 西方白虎, Xi Fang Bai Hu (The White Tiger of the West), shortly known as 'The Tiger Clan'.

Duty: Scribe of the clan.

Strong trail: Sharp eyes (in each sense).

Weak trail: Can't express feelings.

|| PRE-history. Zin is an orphan since young age. The male made it thanks to the local Chinese orphanage that took him in for the time being. Often described as a quiet child, he was the favorite of the care-takers. Far more louder thing though was behind the silence of his. Wu had witnessed the death of his parents, and simply nothing could stop him from the urge to take revenge. Once he turned the age of 16, he found the assassin that did the dirty job for nothing but money. Well mannered, Zin knew the law of surviving. But still couldn't justify the murderer of his parents. And only for a bottle of sake? The irk he felt pushed him to madness - eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth. Nothing could fill the emptiness he felt; and so he knew hatred and taking revenge could only widen the hole. Without his will, Zin was sentenced to death when caught. As the law followed, the most shameful punishment was decapitation, known as beheading, for crimes such as murder. Ready to meet his fate, he was saved by a rich man, around his late 30's. And it was a known fact, either dead or slave. Mainly the rich class could find people to do dirty job at such places. And the best was, they wouldn't pay for each request once they bought their lives. Zin was taken under the care of the Tiger Clan. Pretty aware he would become what he killed, Wu locked his mind and heart. Besides, he was either way dead; be it beheaded or a personal assassin. It was a certain death and he knew it. Years passed and he became the best fighter in the palace. The leader of the clan, Tao Bai, though was afraid that sooner or later Zin would be noticed. Either by the law or by some other leader. So he forbid Zin to fight in public, all he had to do was to pretend and be the palace's scribe. When requested, he would be the claws of The Tiger Clan.
