Pokewriter1:

Name: Ares Kasai

Age: 18

Appearance: He has mid-back length red hair, and blood red eyes. He is a total of 5 feet 4 inches. He normally wears black clothing with red trim. This clothing consists of jeans, a black tank top, and a black hoodie with red trim. Normally his face will be hidden by the hoddie. His sword is on a holster on his back, and his bag covers the holster. The bag itself is just black and it's hard to see because of it.

Race: Human/dragon

Type of weapon: Sword/fire magic

Uke or Seme: Uke

Personality: He is hotheaded and stubborn, and doesn't get along with to many people. He likes to show himself as a very strong person that doesn't need help even when he knows he does need help. But when it comes to things that do not involve fighting he doesn't quite understand them and gets easily confused. He seems to like to be a loner and tries to do everything on his own, but he will normally get into trouble when he does.

StainedCrimson:

Name: Michaelis

Age: 22

Appearance: Long crimson hair that's kept in a partial ponytail/braid starting about mid-back with eyes that are black with glowing gold pupils that are slightly narrowed like a cats. Fair skinned with black tinted nails that seem like they've been painted, and a little over 6'0" tall. He wears long slightly loose pants, a somewhat form fitting shirt with long wide sleeves and tends to have something either on his head or face to help hide his eyes. His swords rest on his hips, but uses them only when he feels the odds of his wining without using them is a lot riskier to his physical well being.

Race: Human/demon

Type of weapon: Twin swords/body

Uke or Seme: Seme

Personality: Fairly recluse and aloof as he's learned early on to avoid people without covering his eyes and hands as it either makes those he's interacting with anxious or hostile. As a result he only goes into towns when he can't make or grow what he needs while he's in an area. At most he'll stay in a place for a couple of years, but normally doesn't stay more than a few months so no one finds out about his heritage. For the few who have gotten to know him can attest to his fairly soft spoken and mild personality, rarely quick to anger though always eager to learn new information. Once angered though, he is a fearsome sight as his other blood makes it appearance by transforming his features into something more foreign and sharp along with a strong bloodlust.

Pigeon:

Name: Enias Alline

Age: 19

Appearance: shoulder length white hair, large light gray wings sprouting from his shoulder blades, almost pure white skin with intricate red tattoos on his back and left cheek. Slender built, 6'3 with slanted red eyes. He usually wears white and light gray clothing with some red highlights. His clothing is always easy to move in and he often wears a cloak to keep his wings safe. He has small daggers hidden around his clothing and keeps a long thin sword at his waist.

Race: Human/bird (not an angel, just a bird)

Type of weapon: sword, daggers

Uke or Seme: Seme

Personality: he is usually calm and collected. Sometimes even comes across as cold and uncaring to those around him. He never means to be rude but is extremely blunt and sometimes offend people without realizing it. He rarely talks about himself and has trouble getting close to others, despite the fact that he actually tends to care a lot about the well being of those around him.

Every five years there was a gathering of all kinds of people. All of their names were placed inside of a glass jar, and randomly names were pulled from the jar. Those choosen would be sent on a journey to seal the darkness by activating five seals that were all across the region. Every time a new journey was started, the seals moved. They could never tell where they were going to be, and they had to find them. If they failed to seal all of the seals then something horrible would happen, and no one wanted to think about the horrors that would be unleashed if it wasn't done.

And that was how this group ended up getting together. They had never met before, and they knew nothing about one another. But they were faced with the fact that they had to work together and get along no matter what they thought of each other. Or else not just them would be suffering in the end.

Ares was the first to be called up when his name was drawn. He looked up at the person who was drawing the names. He was an older man who was drawing the names. His gray hair was slicked back and he was wrinkled from age. He looked to be around 70-80 years old, but he was still reading the names he drew just fine. And after a moment Ares realized that they were being called up to stand before everyone. With a heavy sigh he began to work his way through the crowd. For his age he was smaller than most, and he wasn't going to be growing again. That made him hard to get through the crowd, but he was still able to. He took longer though than the other two but eventually he slipped up next to them.

His long red hair was currently tied up in a ponytail an he wore clothing that was slightly torn up. This was because he had been on a mission right before he had to run off for the drawing. He hadn't had any time to change, and he was sure that some of the older men were snickering at his appearance. But in all honestly he couldn't care less, they didn't care for him anyways.

He then carefully looked over at the two that were standing by him; he did not know either of them. Then again he didn't really know anyone or care who they were. But he guessed that now he had to deal with being near people as well as cooperating with them. He would have to get used to it...though he honestly didn't want to get any closer to him at all. He would wait until after everyone decided to leave to ask them who they were.

Hearing his name called, he slips through the crowd after making sure his hood is firmly in place. The semi-fitted trench with open sleeves and large hood was a treasure to be found as Michaelis hated to have attention drawn to him. It rarely ended well for him though despite all the attacks aimed at him, he's rarely killed any of his would-be killers since few could match his skill and force him to land a fatal blow instead of a knock out one. Still, even with his protective jacket hiding his mixed blood from the crowd, he stays on high alert for any sign of someone coming after him.

Making it to the front without incident a long soft sigh of relief is let out. Shoving his hands into his coats pockets, Michaelis stares down so that none can get a glimpse into his hood. Hearing the two other names called his gaze doesn't waver from that not-so-interesting spot he's staring at. There will be time enough later to see what his two forced companions look like.

If it wasn't for the repercussions of what happens to those who try to skip out on this event, Michaelis wouldn't have even left his current residence to come here, but since his name was called it was fortunate he did even as a knot of dread settles in his stomach at what his companion's reaction to him might be. While they can't kill him or keep him from helping them find the seals, that doesn't mean they can't make the trip unpleasant or come after him once the mission is done. Forcing himself back to the present, he notices the crowd dispersing until few but the three chosen remain. Taking in a steadying breath, his head slowly turns so he can get his first glimpse at the two who will share his travels for a time.

Enias sighed softly when he heard his name called. He waited until they were all called up to start making his way through the crowd. He carefully weaved his way through the people, holding his cloak closed around his shoulders with one hand.

When Enias reached the front of the crowd he briefly glanced at the other two. He decided against introducing himself in front of so many people and turned back to look at the crowd. He did his best to stand up straight and look proud, although he really just wished someone else had been chosen.

He hesitated a moment before looking at the others once the crowd had dispersed. He tried to figure something out from their appearances. “Well, I suppose we’re stuck together then…” Enias attempted to make light of the situation but his voice made him just sound conceited.

Ares carefully examined the two when no one was watching them any longer. He gave a small nod to the one who spoke, not sure if he should say who he was yet. "...we are stuck together now..." He mumbled a little bit, still not sure how he felt about this whole matter just yet. After all, it was a little unnerving to go from pure loner to 'you will work in a group'. And then with a soft, and heavy sigh, he decided to say his name. "...my name is Ares..." He said then, wondering why he bothered to even introduce himself. He probably should have stuck with the plan of not saying who he was yet.

The reason he had spoken though was because he knew that if he got introductions over this would be a lot less painful and easier to work with for now. And the sooner introductions were over, the sooner they could get on with this. Of course, that meant that he would be a loner sooner as well. It all seemed to be thought out now, and he was hoped that that was the case. After all, he was almost sure that he wasn't going to be seeing them after this. No matter what happened. Well, that's how he saw it. It probably wasn't true but he didn't like the thought of being near people yet.

Though now he would just have to think of a good way to be able to avoid getting close to them. He wasn't sure how easy or hard that was going to end up being considering they were going on a trip together. He would still try, that's what it came down to. That and he had a feeling they were not to keen on getting close either. Maybe that would then all work out for the best.

Facing the other two fully he notices just how small one of their group is. A part of him finds it strangely adorable and almost wants to reassure the other that all will be well and this will end soon. However, he's learned to curb such things and so merely nods slightly in acknowledgment of Ares. "...I'm Michaelis." He replies introducing himself even as he unconsciously tugs his hood more firmly in place.

"Should we meet somewhere in an hour or so? I need to gather supplies before we get started." He comments already thinking of what he can readily bring with, what he'll need to get, and what he'll have to hide away until the mission is finished. Then comes the issue if anyone has an idea of where to start or even what to look for. Sagging slightly as the enormity of the task hits him he waits until he gets some sort of response from his two companions.

Enias tried his best to hide his doubts about the whole situation. The group already seemed tense and they had barely met. “I’m Enias…” He said hesitantly, looking back and forth between the other two. He hoped that the whole process would be over quickly and as painlessly as possible. He realized he barely knew anything about what they were doing.

“That would be good, do either of you have any preference where we meet?” The thought of having some time to gather himself and prepare for whatever was in store was incredibly appealing. He only wished he had longer than just one hour, but any more than that would be wasting precious time.

"S-sure...I would like it best if it wasn't...in town." Ares said then softly, not wanting to really talk with them. But he would put up with it for now. And he didn't want to tell them that he wasn't in such a good place with the people in this town. In fact, he would rather keep his personal problems, personal. And he sighed a little to himself. "Maybe by the big tree outside of the town?" He said then, trying to suggest somewhere that was more specific.

He himself didn't really need to pack anything as his backpack was actually at the tree. He had left it there before he went into town. But this would give him enough time to get into some actual clothing, even if the only thing he had that was clean was jeans and a black shirt. That didn't worry him to much, and they would see him wearing it eventually anyways. He carefully lifted his head to see what they thought, grumbling at the fact that he was the shortest among them.

Nodding his agreement to the meeting place he shifts. "That is fine with me. Now if you'll excuse me..." Tilting his head in a small nod he turns and leaves the group. He isn't intending to be rude or standoffish, but knows he needs to make the most use of the time. Not just to gather up supplies and tuck away what he can't take with him, but to prepare mentally at being in close and constant contact with other people.

His long legs eating up the ground, he quickly goes to where his pack and small makeshift home had been put together less than a week ago outside of the town. Quickly dissembling it and carefully burying or hiding the few valuables he has, well to him they're valuable anyway, he then grabs his pack with clothes and what's left of food. Heading back into town he stocks up on things he knows will be needed: Food, replacing some items in his mending kit, and other miscellaneous items before heading to the meeting place. Once there he settles down at the base to wait for the others.

Enias nodded to the suggestion. "all right, in an hour then" he watched one of the men leave before quickly walking to his own small home. His mind raced, trying to figure out what he could need. He had no idea where their journey might take them so he would just have to guess.

When he arrived at his house he grabbed a small bag and looked around for things that could be useful. He packed some food and fresh water, as well as a few articles of clothing. He made sure to bring some bandages and disinfectant.

Enias thought for a few minutes before packing a few random things that could be useful. He checked his weapons to make sure all his blades were sharpened and headed out towards the meeting place.

Ares went to the tree and slipped behind it. He carefully and quickly turned into his other clothes. He kept on his jacket though. He stashed the rest back inside of his backpack. He put the backpack on before he began to carefully climb up the tree. He was going to wait in one of the branches for the others to show up. He sighed a little bit, laying his backpack down and then he laid down. He was planning to nap for a little bit until they appeared. Closing his eyes he went into a deep but uneasy sleep....

After a bit his eyes opened, aware that someone had arrived. He then carefully sat up and glanced down. For now he only saw one of them there. But that was enough to jump down. He carefully put his backpack back on before he jumped down carefully. He landed gracefully on his feet, leaning back up against the tree. He didn't say much, being silent for now. It wasn't like he had anything to say either for that matter.

When Ares lands near him, he turns to nod in greeting before going about setting up his whetstone kit to sharpen his weapons as they wait for the last of their party to join. He wants to at least ask the other if he knows where they should go or have any ideas in general about what they're to do, but keeps silent as it's something that should be discussed with Enias there.

Finishing with one sword, he re-sheaths it then checks to make sure his hood is still in place before starting on the second one. Halfway through he looks up and notices that the last person of their party is coming towards them. His gaze falls back to his sword so he can finish before they start to talk. If nothing else he hopes they can get along well so this mission ends quickly. Just as Enias reaches them, Michaelis finishes and puts his swords across his legs. After a few moments he finally decides to break the silence. "Now that we're all here, where should we start?" He asks meaning discussion of their plans or just the mission in general.

Enias stood a little ways away from the other two, unsure how to start a conversation. He almost jumped when Michaelis suddenly spoke, but he quickly regained his composure.

"unfortunately I don't know where the best place to start would be... It might be best to find some sort of source of information, wandering around would just waste time" He frowned slightly, pulling his cloak tighter around his shoulders to keep the cold away. "All I know about this is that it's supposed to be very dangerous, so we should probably avoid splitting up until we know what we're up against..."

He sighed softly, silently cursing himself for not knowing more about the situation. It seemed like something he should have prepared for incase this ever happened.

Ares sighed a little bit as he listened to Enias talk. He slowly sat down and pulled out a map from his backpack. "I marked the spots where the seals were found last, maybe we could start by going to the closest one and look around there to see if there are any clues to where it could be now..." He said then, he wasn't the smartest person but this was different. For him this was thrilling, pieces of a forbidden puzzle, is how he thought of it. That lead into the fact that for him, he wanted to solve this puzzle no matter what happened... That was probably why his map was folded in all different kinds of ways and laid out to try and show where they should go.

"I mean, it's just a guess but we could try it..." He said then, glancing up. He hoped they didn't think this was a stupid idea or something like that... But he thought it was probably a smart idea. He hoped anyways. He carefully waited, sitting and looking up at them.

Michaelis nods slowly as he looks over the map. "That's not a bad idea. I have no knowledge of what these seals look like or how we're supposed to deal with them. Do either of you?" He asks looking at the others from the safety of the shadows caused by his hood. His eyes studying the two more closely and freely now that it's just them and not infront of a large gathering of people. So far his two companions don't seem too terrible, although all of them seem to have reservations about one another as well as a reluctance to get too close. That may pose a problem down the road, for now though it's understandable how three strangers thrust together would be wary of one another. To say nothing of their own personal issues.

"I don't know what they look like, but if there are any towns nearby those places we might be able to find someone who saw one" Enias crouched down to look more closely at the map. He was somewhat surprised at how prepared Ares was, but was relieved that at least one of them had some kind of lead.

He examined the different marks. He couldn't tell if there was any kind of pattern in the locations. Enias rubbed his forehead, he was never very good at puzzles like this. He hoped that he didn't seem too useless, he knew he would end up being helpful in some other way.

"I don't know what they look like either...and some of the last locations were near towns..." Ares trailed off a little bit. "But I wouldn't be to...fond of those towns to get information..." He said then slowly, carefully speaking. "Not all of them have the nicest people around there." He knew that from wandering around, which may be why there were little black rings around a few of the towns. He sighed and stood up a little bit then. "That's really all I can say." He mumbled. He looked up at the sky, wondering if they would get very far before darkness fell. He wasn't feeling like sleeping on a rock for once. But he wasn't going to speak up about it, because he didn't want to start this off with being a nuisance.

Michaelis points to one of the towns near by. "The people here aren't too bad so long as you keep to yourself. We should be able to make it shortly after dark if we set a good pace. From there we could go to this town and see what they know." He says softly pointing to a town near one of the last seals." He muses thinking aloud. Those towns are ones he's been around a few times and never had any too horrible experiences, so if nothing else they're amongst the more tolerant people even if that's not saying much.

When Ares puts the map away he stands up and brushes himself off. "That's just what I think though. Do either of you have any suggestions?" He looks at the two from beneath his hood while adjusting his pack.

Enias stood up straight and nodded. "Yes, i think that would be the best option." He looked at he other two. "If no one has any objections we should go right away." He adjusted his bag on his shoulder "we don't want to lose too much time, and finding more information should help us along the way." he hadn't done much travelling recently, so he was feeling somewhat nervous about being out on the road. But he didn't want to look like a coward, so he did his best to hide the fear.

"Do you know what the best route to that town is?" Enias asked, turning to Michaelis. "We could also discuss our strategy more on our way"

Ares nodded, keeping his bag close. He wasn't to keen on speaking anymore so he would stick to going silent. He just waited for one of the two to start walking before he did. He knew the village was tolerant but he'd probably just sleep in a tree. Though he really wanted to sleep in a bed for once... Yet, he figured it might be best if he didn't go into the town at night. He then glanced at his back, and moved a hand to adjust the holster with his sword in it. He had more or less zoned out at the moment. This is just a little awkward...It won't last for that much longer though, I hope. Either it'll get worse or we won't actually interact at all. I don't know which is the worst option there in the end.

Michaelis gives a slow nod to Enias. "It's a fairly straight route from here. As long as we keep a good brisk pace it won't take longer than a few hours to get there. Provided you two are able to deal with going through the thick forests between here and there." He starts off to lead the others to the town. "If I'm moving to fast or get too far ahead just let me know." He says over his shoulder.

Walking along he bites on his lip for a few moments, not used to being around others let alone taking the lead. Still, it doesn't seem like things will be too bad. Soon he leads them away from the town and headed into the nearby forest. Slipping easily and soundlessly through the thickening foliage, he heads deeper into it intending to cut through a portion of it to get to the road that passes near the town they're heading to. Feeling more at ease in the world he spends most of his time in, his body relaxes as most of the tension leaves.

Enias followed Michaelis silently. He kept his guard up as they walked, ready for something to jump out around any corner. He walked lightly and quickly, staying close to the other two.

After a long period of silence Enias finally spoke. "Are both of you skilled fighters?" He glanced between the two. It seemed like an important question to him, since they would no doubt be getting into some sort of situation where they would need to fight. But he also just wanted to try to start some kind of conversation with the others. Spending the entire journey in complete silence was extremely unappealing to him.

Ares didn't wish to speak still. shifting a little bit. He decided to stay in the back, not walking that close to them. He looked down a little bit, rubbing his arm. But then he looked up slowly. "I can fight, pretty well I think...depends on the enemy that we are fighting..." He glanced down a little bit. He was hard to hear since he had suddenly gone soft-spoken and was remaining the farthest away. He didn't feel safe around them both yet, and he knew they didn't probably fully trust him either. That and it wasn't hard to see them if he happened to stray away. They were taller than he was.

"I can hold my own." Michaelis responds while continuing to lead the way. It takes them over three hours but eventually he leads them out of the woods and shortly there after they reach a well traveled road. Choosing a side of the road to walk along, he heads towards the town. "It should only take roughly another hour or so from here provided we don't run into any trouble." He says once they've traveled a ways. By this point the sun is starting to lower and dusk is approaching, so his time estimate of when they'll reach the town is fairly close. They might even make it before actual dark.

Enias nodded to their responses, realizing that it was pointless to try to hold a conversation at this point. He sighed softly and continued to walk in complete silence.

He shivered slightly as the sun began to go down. His warmer clothing was in his bag but he didn't want to stop when they were so close. He decided it would be best to just hurry to town. Enias looked around at their surroundings, keeping an eye out for any sort of trouble that might come their way. He couldn't see any sign of danger but stayed on his guard.

Ares pulled his jacket around him again, keeping it close. He was still warm, somewhat... But he still felt slightly cool in the air. He glanced around a little bit. He was planning to try and find somewhere safe around here in case he had to leave. He turned his head then slowly to look around. This place seems so calm...too calm almost... He thought as he walked along carefully. He moved a little faster to catch up to the two then, looking around slowly. Then he sighed, and shook his head some. Maybe he was worrying for no reason. Then again sometimes there was always a reason to worry when you didn't know the area well enough.
