C1 lives with his single mother, and C2 lives with his single father. C1 and C2, single children, with no siblings, had grown close in high school and had a relationship. But they were too different, and this ended up being the downfall of their relationship. C2 was too popular, and C1 too work and school invested. They broke up and went their separate ways, it being any other high school relationship. Until they met again, introduced to each other by their parents as each others future brother. Their single parents seemed to have been seeing each other, and now were getting married, and moving into one house together, as a family, meaning C1 and C2 are as well moving into the same home together, and will have to live with each other. Will this bring back old emotions? And if so, will they be of love for their past relationship, or bitterness and hate, because of their break up?

Name: Hiroki Hazema

Age: 18

Personality: Hiro is more of an introvert, tending to keep to himself and keep his own emotions and opinions to himself, unless otherwise pushed or asked. He tends to put others before himself, yet is not a pushover by any means.

Hiro was by all means happy for his mother. She seemed like a young teenager again, full of joy with this new man she met. So of course Hiro was happy for her. But he also disliked the idea of actually having to deal with a full family again. Apparently he even had a brother now once the two adults officially married. He had yet to meet his brother, but apparently he was the same age as him. Hiro didn't mind too much...but he just hoped the guy wouldn't give him trouble and be mean, or anything. Hiro just preferred to stay in his own world if he could help it. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't at least a bit curious about who his brother would be, having always been a single child. But at the same time he'd heard plenty of horror stories with his friends who had siblings.

Hiro had met the fiance to his mother, and approved he was a nice man, good enough for his mother. He hoped it would only be a similarity and same quality of a trait in the mans son, who was going to be his brother. Today his mother and him were moving into their house, since apparently it was bigger and would save cost of them buying a new house together. His mother was fine with it, though Hiro wasn't too pleased. That meant it would be his new brothers 'territory' that he was invading on. He sighed heavily as all these thoughts ran through his head, shaking his head as he packed the last box into the moving truck "All done, mom!" he called into vacant house that now seemed to echo any smallest bit of noise. He frowned, looking at the house he'd lived in his whole life, before heading out with his mother and going to what would be their new home. He stood patiently beside his mother as the woman knocked on the door.

Name: Towa Miyaki

Age: 18

Personality: Towa is bright kind of guy, the one that makes everyone around laugh. He always tries to find the good things in situations, almost never being down about something. He just want to have some fun around and is actually pretty irresponsible because of it. He's like an open book most of times.

Towa was running happily around his house, helping out his father to prepare it for their new family. He couldn't be more happy for his dad. That old man had spend enough time being alone and taking care of him, it was about time to find some romance in his life. That's why when he told him that he was getting married, Towa hugged him tightly and laughed out of joy. His father asked him if it was okay to bring another woman to their lives and added that his future stepmother also has a son about his age. Towa, thought, said that it was even better, since he always wanted to a brother to complain about his dad, in which both of them laughed.

He, while thinking about that, finally finished to prepare his new brother's room, checking if everything looked fine, when he remembered something. Towa ran to his own room and brought back a picture frame with his photo with his father and put on his new brother's desk, now satisfied with it all. He had already met his stepmother, and simply loved her, since she seemed to be a fierce yet gentle woman, and wondered if her son would be the same. Towa decided that he would. He was always like that, anyway, deciding on the happiest way of things, ignoring all the rest.

Suddenly, he was dragged out of his thought for his father calling him, saying that they've arrived. He rushed downstairs in time to see his father opening the door and put on his best smile, ready to greet his new family. "Welcome to ou-"

His eyes immediately fell on his new brother and his voice vanished away. He did not see that coming.

Hiroki remained silent on the ride to the new house. Or, it was new for him anyways. He looked out the window, not saying much. Honestly, he truly was happy for his mother. But he was just worried about how this whole brother situation would turn out. Would the guy like him? Would they get along? All these same questions were running through his head once again as they now stood at the doorway, where his mother rang the doorbell and an older male greeted, warmly hugging and greeting his mother, before himself. He nodded to the other - never one for showing a lot of excitement or anything "It nice to see you again" he spoke, before turning and hearing footsteps.

He went to greet who he expected was his new brother, but then paused, blinking a bit as his eyes slowly widened in recognition "You..." he breathed in slight disbelief. Honestly, what were the chances? His mother meanwhile, smiled "Hi Towa, how are you?" she greeted kindly as they all moved into the house. The father just smiled a bit "Towa, son, this is Hiroki. Why don't you show him to his room and you two can talk and get to know each other a bit?" he offered, having no idea the two already knew each other, and quite very well too. With that, the older couple left to another room.

Towa stood still blinking several times for a couple of seconds, still not believing who he was seeing right in front of him. Immediately, thousands of memories ran around in his head and when his stepmother talked to him, he looked blankly to her for a few seconds before clearing his throat and quickly forcing a smile. "O-oh, hi, it's really nice to see you again, welcome to our house, I hope... I hope you can feel comfortable here."

Cause now I'm definetely not. He added in his head, his eyes never leaving Hiroki's. That was him, right? That was definitely Hiro, right? It wasn't some kind of sick dreaming he was having, was it? He cannot believe how destiny was now playing hard with him. He mechanically nodded his head to his father, biting his bottom lip a bit before greeting Hiro as well. "H-hey, nice to... meet you. Welcome!" That's when he averted his eyes to everywhere but Hiroki, rubbing his neck uncomfortably. "Come on, I'll show you your new room."

Their parents left the place and Towa started to go upstairs, looking right to the floor without saying a word, still trying to figure out how his ex boyfriend was suddenly in his house like that. In his life again. As his... brother.

Hiroki was just the same as his supposed brother, Towa. He couldn't stop staring at the male, with wide eyes in disbelief. It was rare enough for Hiro to normally show much expression or emotion in anything. But this was a highly un called for, and unexpected turn of events. All this time he had been worried about his brother, how they would fair together, and if they would get along or anything. But it seemed they really couldn't get along after all. Not if Towa was his brother.

He sighed a bit to himself, closing his eyes. Maybe he was just imagining things. But when he opened his eyes once more, he frowned. Nope, not imagining. A sickening feeling started to grow in the pit of his stomach. He couldn't believe it. He absolutely couldn't believe it. Towa. His brother. He scoffed at the idea. Honestly he had been hoping he would never see the male again after their complicated break up. And as his brother? He was definitely the last person he wanted to see. He figured if he ever did see the ex boyfriend of his again, it would not be under these circumstances. Oh how cruel fate was being, toying with his life like this.

Hiro walked into the house a bit, glancing to his mother and now step-father who headed off to another room after leaving them alone. Oh no. Sighing, he glanced to the male before him who was just walking ahead, averting eye contact. Hiro just remained silent as he followed after the other. Honestly, he didn't know what to say. He didn't think he would be able to come up with anything to say in this situation. What did you say in situations like these? They never happened, what are the chances, so Hiro was at a loss of what to do.

With the corner of his eyes, Towa saw Hiro silently following him, seeming to be in the same misery he was now. What could they possibly do about that? Isn't like they could go and tell their parents. He didn't know about Hiro's mother, but his father, even being a really good person, wouldn't be exactly happy finding about his sexuality. That was Japan, after all. But, yet, live under the same roof... That was one of the most uncomfortable situation that he could be in, and he was the king of going out of this kind of thing.

But now... With Hiro... All he could think was about this feeling of guilty builting up inside him again. Just when he had finally let it go. Now all the avoiding he did - as clearly Hiro did as well - seemed useless. Brothers. That was just too much to him at that moment.

He lead his ex to his new room, entering on it and almost wanting to laugh. Towa took care of that room so well, trying to figure how to make it the most comfortable he could, so his new brother could feel as he was at his own room. Only if he knew he was preparing this for Hiro... Towa suddenly gasped quietly when he saw the picture frame he put on the desk, rushing to it and putting it down, remembering himself to take this off later. Then, taking a long and deep breath, he decided to, as always, trying to make the best out of this situation, He turned to look to Hiroki and, with trembling lips, he smiled faintly.

"Well... This is awkward, I guess..." He said, forcing a nervous laugh and rubbed his neck. "I didn't know it was you, Hiro... Hiroki. I guess our fate is kinda cruel."

Hiroki followed along silently behind the other, staring at the back of his head. Though whenever the other turned to glance back at him, Hiroki would quickly avert his gaze, looking elsewhere. He stared at his feet as the ascended the stairs and came to a room. Hiroki stopped at the doorway, as the other rushed in to seem to try and conceal something. Hiroki paid it no mind - it was the least important of things right now.

He glanced around the room, stepping in slowly as it felt weird to even be in the same room as Towa - let alone a bedroom. It brought back a lot of bittersweet memories, ones that Hiroki had loved and cherished during their relationship. But now all those feelings were painful and bitter because of their unfortunate break up. He jolted slightly when he heard the others voice, glancing over to him and shifting on his feet awkwardly.

"Uh...yeah...." he muttered, fidgeting with the end of his shirt sleeve. He sighed heavily, trying to remain calm and not lose his composure over this situation "Erm....thanks for showing me to my room..." he stated, unsure what else to say. It was then there was a long, and very awkward, very uncomfortable, silence. Nervously, he spoke up again "I think I'll go wait outside for the moving truck" he muttered, clearing his throat slightly before turning and trying to make an escape out of the room alone with his ex.

The moment Hiro stepped inside the room, a weird and nostalgic feeling came to Towa, making the memories he was avoiding to remember come once again. Both of them alone in a bedroom after so much time it was impossible for him not remember how was it in the past. I completely different and less awkward situation, I could say... He thought, his eyes focusing once again on Hiro's expression, still knowing him well enough to say that he was also having those memories back.

Hiro muttered back to him, fidgeting with his sleeve, and that sent an arrow right through Towa's heart as he remembered how his ex always do that when he was nervous or uncomfortable and to see such a meaning thing like this was making Towa want to leave that place, that house, as soon as possible. All of this was leaving a bitter taste of guilty in his mouth and he hated this kind of situation.

His new 'brother' thanked him and Towa just nodded with another faint smile, silence falling as a heavy weight right after. Things weren't supposed to be like that. Towa needed to do something to fix it, to light it. He needed to be mature enough to endure this. He was trying to think in what to say when Hiroki spoke again, making Towa look at him and as much as Hiro was clearly trying to flee away, Towa saw on that a way to make things more comfortable. "Ah, sure, it would be here soon. Uhn, look, I know that you probably want to be alone after this crushing news and to not face this..." He motioned to both of them with his index finger. "... right now, but my dad is going to scold me if I leave you alone just after arriving and if I not help you to bring your stuff. So, can you endure me a bit more?" He asked hesitantly, with a lighter and more sincere smile than before.

Hiroki had turned, about to leave the room and head back downstairs and outside to wait for the truck that had all of his mothers and his own belongings. He glanced back over his shoulder when he heard the other speak again, and frowned slightly. The other was trying to be around him more? Frowning, he raised an eyebrow at the others word choice "Crushing news? What's so crushing? I'm excited for my mother - and your father. She's finally happy again, and so I'm happy for her. There's nothing crushing about that" he spoke, completely ignoring, and disregarding the 'crushing' situation that Towa was referring to - them. Just like he always did, he was avoiding the things he was uncomfortable about, or didn't want to believe or have to face.

He sighed, shifting a bit "I'd rather you not" he spoke honestly - Hiro typically was a pretty blunt and honest man, simply because he was so reserved and careless about others, that he didn't care their opinion on himself "It's not just because of our situation, Towa. You should know I prefer being alone under any and all circumstances anyways"

That was a lie though, of course. It was something Hiroki often say, that he preferred to be alone. And while he did like to be alone, he was also a very lonely person, not having very many friends, and therefore felt alone. When the were together, Towa had figured this out about him. But Hiroki played it off as though Towa and him hadn't been that close before, and that Towa wouldn't know that.

Sighing heavily as it seemed Towa was persistent and wanted to do this to please his father, he frowned "Whatever. Do as you please" He muttered before he turned and kept walking down the stairs and outside to the front of the house, sitting down on the stairs in silence.

Towa put his hand on his pocket and when Hiro spoke, he raised his eyebrows, tilting his head a bit. It was so him to do things like that... Distort things so he doesn't have to face the reality of them. Towa looked at him skeptically. "Please, don't play with me, Hiroki... You know what I meant. I've never been so happy about my father, as he never seemed so happy before. No, I wasn't talking about our parents. I was talking about... us." He said, his voice trembling a bit when he refered to them like this.

As Hiro kept talking, rejecting his offer, Towa sighed, not being surprised at all by this. They were together long enough to Towa know how he was, how he reacts to some kind of situations. While Towa would always try to light the mood, to joke it off - in his own way to not be face to face with the reality -, Hiro would always try to run from it, to avoid it.

He always said that he liked to be alone, that he was fine being like this, but after watching him closely, Towa knew how it really was. Hiro was actually a very lonely person, he couldn't express himself well and that lead to loneliness, but Towa always thought it wasn't like this. He always thought that the truth was that Hiro never realized that the problem wasn't about he not being able to get close to the others, but the fact that he never let people come in, never let people break his walls.

"Prefer to be alone and be lonely are two different things." Towa muttered in a low tone, not even sure if Hiro could listen to him.

Hiro, then, gave up on resisting and walked out off the room, with Towa following him with lots of steps between them. When they went outside and Hiro sit on the stair, Towa just reclined his back on the wall, crossing his arms and looking to everywhere but his ex lover.

Hiroki frowned, glancing away from the other as his avoiding the topic was confronted, and Towa brought their past up. He was unable to meet the others eyes as he spoke "There is no us, anymore, Towa" he spoke with a quiet, but firm voice as he turned and left to where he went and sat outside in the front of the house on the stairs.

He partly couldn't believe his own words that he had said to the other. But it was true. Though harsh - especially when Hiroki himself was the one that had called off their relationship, and broke up with the other. But that was also because of Towa's fault and own doing. He sighed heavily, running a hand through his hair. Damn it. He thought in his head, shutting his eyes. His chest was starting to hurt again already, just recalling their breakup, and all the memories of their relationship together.

The silence that ensured on the front stairs of the house was agonizing, and making everything between them, the whole situation, even worse. He bit on his lip nervously, looking off to the side as he waited for the truck to come, hoping it would be soon so that he would have something else to occupy himself with, instead of having to endure this almost painful silence.

Eventually, the truck did finally come after about fifteen minutes of sitting outside and waiting. Hiroki got up as the pulled up and he walked over to them almost immediately, thankful for the distraction finally. He talked to them, thanking them, as he helped them unload everything and bring it into the house in the front room for now.

Towa fixed his glasses on his face while looking to the street without really seeing it. Hiro's words were still echoing in his mind. There is no us anymore, Towa. Isn't like he didn't know it or like it wasn't true. Hiroki made himself pretty clear while breaking up with him to Towa know that. Towa himself messed up enough to know that as well. But still... hear that out loud, after everything... That still had the power to bring his mood down. The feelings that once existed became now only guilt, sorrow and regret.

He sighed maybe for the tenth time while waiting for the damn truck to arrive, wondering why it was taking so long. Neither of them were daring to look to each other, what was making everything more uncomfortable and awkward, making Towa want to scream just to break this never ending silence.

The truck arrived, though, and the world was bright again. Towa went after Hiroki to pick his and his mother's stuff, being more focused than the necessary on the task of bringing everything inside. After bringing some bags, he went inside the house to call his dad. "Daaad, the truck is here, come one. We need to figure where to put everything." And went outside again to pick some more. He even dared to help Hiro with a really heavy box, even though he just kept looking ahead and not him.

Hiroki started to unload the boxes and everything he and his mother had packed. As he did so, he still didn't look or speak to Towa. He let the male call to his father as he continued to bring some boxes in. the parents talking and starting to unpack, putting things in places and what not, while Hiroki and Towa were put on unloading duty, bringing everything into the house. Eventually, everything was finished and unpacked, and after the moving truck was paid for and everything, they had left.

Hiroki further proceeded to head inside, walking right past Towa to talk to his mother and step-father, to see where he could help putting things. His mother just told him to bring stuff to his room that he knew was his, for now, and so he did just that, picking up a box of clothes he had, and carrying it up the stairs.

While Hiroki and his mother worked, Towa's father, Daisuke, looked to his blood son, nodding to him "Towa, can I talk to you for a minute?" He asked nodding to the kitchen away from Hiroki and his mother - more importantly, Hiroki, though. Daisuke looked to his son, concerned, having noticed the tense and silent atmosphere between his son and Hiroki "How are things...between you and Hiroki? Are you two getting along well?" he asked.

Towa kept bringing the stuff inside, then unloading everything from the boxers while his dad and stepmother were deciding where to put it all. There was an awkward silence between him and Hiroki all the time. The latter was clearly ignoring him and Towa wasn't making much effort to change that, since he was basically sulking in his place when Hiro just passed by him without a word.

That was the worst scenario ever. He never thought that he would be like this with his new brother. If things were different and his new brother wasn't his ex-lover-with-a-bad-break-up, in Towa's mind, they would be laughing, chatting, telling each other their whole lifes, what they like or dislike. But the reality was just way different from that. The reality was a cold and hurtful look, or a guilty and frustrated one.

Towa wasn't surprised when his father called for him. Of course he noted that. Who wouldn't? So he just sighed a bit and tried to put his best smile on his face and went to the kitchen with his dad. When his father asked was he was afraid he would, Towa rubbed his nape and forced a laugh. "Oh, you noticed, huh? It's nothing, really. It's just we used to study together on first year of high school, and Hiro is the silent type, so everything is kinda awkward because of that. Nothing big. We'll... fix that in the next days. Don't worry." He said, coming up with the first half-lie that appeared in his head, satisfied with it.

Daisuke nodded his head towards his biological son and nodded towards the kitchen, walking out of the living room where they were unpacking the boxes and everything. Daisuke, leaned back against the counter as he looked to his son, inquiring him about how things were going and the bonding that was hopefully happening between the two younger males. he listening to him, and nodded his head a bit, although a bit skeptical "Alright...you're sure there's nothing else between you two...? I get the feeling there's something else..." he trailed off.

Oh, if only he knew. If only he knew the son of the woman he was going to marry had been in sexual relations with his own son. Daisuke had no idea just how awkward this situation was for his son, and Hiroki as well. "Alright, well...lets get back to helping. Let me know if any improvement or anything happens between you two" he spoke before pushing up off from leaning on the counter, heading back to the other room where the others were.

Hiroki meanwhile, was silent as ever, and keeping to himself. He didn't so much as lift his head or look the way as Towa left the room his father and he could here them talking in the other room. His own mother, Sarah, took that chance to talk to him as well. Hiroki just brushed it off though, picking up a box that was his and carrying it to his room to end the conversation. But that box was one that consisted of his many books he read - being the bookworm he was. Carrying it up the steps was a rather heavy and hard task, especially since it was heavy, and he couldn't see the steps before him, and didn't know the house well enough yet to know how many steps there were. So, thinking he had finished the last step, he ended up tripping and stumbling, inhaling sharply of fear as he knew was was about to come as gravity pulled him down the incline, he braced himself. "Ah!!" he gasped out, wincing as he tumbled down the stairs, the heavy box falling as well and ready to land on him once he hit the ground.

Towa swallowed dry as his father was clearly not believing him. How would he, when he was probably the person that knows Towa best in the whole world? The latter, then, just tried to keep his usual expression, not giving hints that he was actually a mess inside with all this suddenly going on on his life. As his dad tried to insist on the matter, Towa forced a laugh and shook one of his hands. "Waah what are you sayind, dad? Of course not. Is just that people don't usually start to live with old high school colleagues, as their brother, just that."

Towa answered, hoping that he was as convincing as he wished. There's nothing else, dad, just the little fact we did it some times, I mean a lot of times, and also had some deep feelings for each other. But nah, nothing else. He thought, holding a laugh to this wrecked situation. His dad seemed half-convinced and finally let him go, in which Towa nodded to his request, following him out of the kitchen, to help the other two again.

But as he stepped on the living room again, he saw Hiro struggling with a clearly heavy box, that was blocking his vision ahead. Towa frowned, thinking that he shouldn't carry something so heavy by himself, and, ignoring the cold treatment, he started to walk to the stair, when a shout from Hiroki startled him. Towa's eyes bulged as he saw Hiro falling down the stairs and the box coming right after.

"Hiro!!" Towa shouted and without thinking twice, being moved by his panic, he jumped to his stepbrother, protecting his body with his own, receiving all the impact from the heavy box, immediately gasping from the pain. He looked worriedly to Hiro under him, panting. "Ugh... are you.. okay?" He muttered, before closing his eyes by the pain in his back. "Damn..."

Daisuke simply raised an eyebrow at his son. He was acting really quite strange. He didn't believe him, and simply sighed "Alright son" he said, smiling and ruffling his hair "Now scram, before we get yelled at. There is a woman in this house now" he said smirking "Haven't you heard it's in their calling to yell at men?" he snickered, already teasing his soon-to-be wife behind her back. He really did love her though, and it showed in how much he cared for her, and teased her lovingly as he did. Just as they headed back into the other room though, Daisuke went to helping his fiance as Towa seemed to go help Hiroki. However, as Hiroki went tumbling down the stairs, everything happened so quickly, both parents calling out for both kids worriedly.

Before Hiroki knew it, he was tumbling down the stairs, crying out in both fear and pain as he hit the stairs multiple times, considering he had nearly been at the top. His tried to cover his head and protect himself, but as he made a final land to the ground floor, his head snapped back against the wood of the floor and he grunted, hissing in pain as he clutching his head. He heard Towa call out for him, and squinted his eyes through the pain, only for his eyes to widen. He feared the box would crush him, but Towa was soon hovering above him, protecting him, and clearly in pain now just as much as Hiroki himself was. He stared wide-eyed up at his ex-lover, and new step-brother, in slight shock and disbelief "T-Towa..." he mumbled, before both of them were soon crowded by their worried parents. Hiroki slowly sat up, wincing as he clutched his head with one hand as everything went spinning. He painfully glanced over to the other "Towa...your back. Are you okay?" he asked with a frown. In a moment like this, full of fear and pain, everything happening so fast and all, it was hard to keep up his cold and distant act towards his ex lover. The true care and concern of feelings and emotions he still had for the other seeped out in worry, despite his own throbbing head - not realizing it was bleeding slightly in the back.

Towa smiled happily when his dad ruffled his hair, something he always enjoyed, and laughed, this time sincerely, with Daisuke's joke about Sarah. "You're such a pushover when you're in love~" He commented, just to tease his father a bit. After that, everything happened incredibly fast and before Towa could think much, he was on top of Hiroki, hissing in pain, while looking worriedly to him, who clearly hurt himself bad by falling down on the stairs.

Hiroki called his name, for the first time without a cold tone, but before Towa could dig on that, his parents were around him, asking them if they were fine. As Hiro started to sit, Towa did the same, stopping on the middle of it when a sudden pain on his back made him gasp again, holding it with one hand. The box apparently hit him hard on his back, but he tried to ignore that, focusing on Hiro, who was now looking at him with worry, which made all kind of feelings suddenly come to him, making him remember the good times when they care for each other.

But, unfortunately, Towa had to put that aside for a moment, since now a trail of blood was coming out of Hiro's head. "Don't worry about me! Your head, Hiro, is bleeding! You hit so hard on the stairs, I got so worried! You should be more..." He started to say out in worry, but he saw Daisuke looking at him curiously, so his voice slowly disappeared. Towa took a deep sigh, looking at Hiro tenderly, like when he did so many times before. "Hiro, are you ok? I think we should take you to a hospital, you know... This seem serious." He said, with a calmer tone, realizing that freaking out would only made things worse.

Hiroki frowned as he looked to Towa when he had to hold onto his back, and was clearly in pain. He felt terribly worried, and bad, considering it pretty much had been his fault. He frowned, lowering his eyes as he recalled past memories, how Towa would always protect him and everything. Hiroki, being the less popular, bookworm of a male in school, often got teased. Not that he particularly cared, he easily blocked them out. But Towa broke all the unwritten rules for the popular, not only befriended a nobody like him, but dated him too, and protected him. He bit as lip, his eyes filling with more pain from the memories of their time together.

Looking back up to Towa, his eyes widened, and he felt his heart skip a beat. That familiar look of tenderness and adoration for him...Hiroki cleared his throat a bit, averting his eyes from the other "I-I'm fine" He muttered, before putting a hand to his head to see it was indeed bleeding "I'd rather not..." he mumbled with a sigh when the other mentions a hospital. Hiroki really wasn't fond of them - he never had been. "I'll just put a bandage on it...you're the one who should go, you look like you can barely move" he said, risking a glance back at the other.

Daisuke frowned a bit at the situation, watching the two interact. The way Towa shielded Hiroki...called him by a nickname so casually...he really had to wonder just what kind of way the two knew each other back in highschool. He would question his son again later though "We really should take you both, to be safe."
