Something to add to his past/history: His devotion to the king comes from the time that he was still a prince in his 30s and Aerys still a teenager. Aerys lost his parents in a war at that time, and since his father was one of the king's knights and had a close relationship with the prince, being almost like a second father to him, the prince asked for Aerys to his father, that granted his wish and gave him a home at the castle. It's a long journey between the kingdoms of Lys and Nym and with all three kingdoms at war, everywhere was unsafe to be more than a couple of hours. But he was there and he could prove once again why he was called the king's best knight. Aerys was now ready to accomplish the second part of his mission. He walked to the gates, being stopped by the guards. "No one enters in the castle without identification. What's your name and what are your business at the royal castle?" One of them asked, but Aerys merely looked at him, he just reach for a piece of paper in his pocket, showing it to him, that, after reading it, immediately bowed. "S-sorry, sir. Welcome to our kingdom, sir. This way, please." The guard started to walk with him to the castle, but Aerys raised a hand, as saying that he was fine, and kept his way ahead. He had to show his paper once again at the entrance and at the throne room, where the guard the announced his name to the royal court. "Sir Aerys Chevalier, son of Aegon Chevalier, captain of the royal guard of Lys, and the king's best knight." The court, including the king, immediately stood up as the guest they were expecting so anxiously had arrived. The king motioned to Aerys come closer to the throne and so he did, feeling uncomfortable for having all the eyes on him. He decided to just ignore the rest and do what he was ordered to, so he only focused on the king and the queen. Aerys knelt down in front of the king of Lys, showing his respect before starting to talk, still knelt. "It is a pleasure and honor to finally arrive at your kingdom, your highness." "As it is for us, sir Aerys. I wish this were kinder times, though. You would enjoy my kingdom a lot more. You've had a long journey, one of my servants will lead you to your room so you can rest before having to go again." The king said with a kind tone. "I appreaciate your concern, your highness, but the time is short and the journey, as your highness said, is long. We must go now." He said, now paying more attetion, looking for the prince he should escort, but not knowing if he was there, since he didn't know his face. The queen caught that and smiled to him kindly. "Prince Liam was in one of his literature lessons, I've sent someone to bringing him here, he should be here soon." Aerys opened his mouth to thank the queen, but before he could say anything, the queen kept talking. "Do as my husband said and stay here for today. There's still a lot for you and my king to discuss, also to prince Liam, and this should be done privately." Aerys, seeing that he couldn't deny another royal order, just nodded. "As you wish, your highness." He said, being, then surprised by a sound of footsteps entering on the room.
Ayakashiu
Picture: Name: Prince Liam (Officialy named William, but called Liam to distingush him from his father, King William.) Age: 18 Likes/Dislikes: Likes books, loyal people and nature. Dislikes being indoors all the time and formal events. Personality: He has a strong sense of obligation. He loves his country and is prepared to go to great lenghts to serve it, although he doesn't really want to be the next king. But he would never admit that to anyone, knowing what his duty is. He likes to work outside, so he often visits their capital, checking on people, helping them sometimes, if he can. He also likes to go to the nearest forest, taking walks or just reading some good book under a tree. Something to add to his past/history: He learnt how to be a king, since he could walk and he always envyed other children, who could play and do normal stuff. He still feels trapped in his life, but he doesn't show it to anyone. Other: He never had a best friend or someone who would be like a brother to him, but he wishes to have someone like that in his life really badly. He has siblings, but they were never close, because he had to study all the time. The light breeze felt so good on his skin, caressing his face like a hand of a lover. He was sitting underneath a tree, holding the book he was assigned today, in his lap. But today, he couldn't focus on his reading. Prince Liam, the future King of Nym, was seriously considering to run away. He sighted, knowing he could never actually left his people; not now, when they were in a war. Well, not ever, to be honest. As much as he wanted to be free, he was duty bound to his kingdom and it's people. While he re-read the same page in his book for the fourth time, not really knowing what he's reading, his thoughts wandered again. This time to his future wife-to-be. The princess of Lys. He heard a lot about her, about her beauty, but he didn't really care about that. He wanted to have a good woman for his wife, one that would rule by his side justly and would care for her people more than for herself. His people deserved a good queen and he could only hoped that they would get one. Liam was disrupted from his thoughts, by a servant telling him, he was being summoned to the throne room. Apparently the messenger from Lys was here. Oh no, not already..I thought I still have time. I'm not ready for this! He felt panic rising inside of him, but he suppressed it, heading towards the castle. When he was let into the throne room, he was breathless, his heart pounding like crazy. So this is it. It's really happening.. He bowed his head, acknowledging his parents, The King and The Queen, then turning his attention to the newcomer. He quickly checked black haired man, seeing a cold and efficient person. Just the type that can get me to the other kingdom in one piece. He bowed his head a little, wanting to give a good first impression and showing his new escort, that he sees them as equals. He was often scolded for acting below his position, but he hated acting the way, that befits a Prince. "It's an honour to meet you. I'm Prince Liam and I'm very grateful for your help in this matter." His father then explained to him, that their guest will be staying the night, so Liam quickly grabbed the opportunity, to be alone with the man. He had a lot of questions. "Father, I shall take him to his room." As he saw The King frown, he quickly added, "He's an important guest and if he should have any questions, I'm more suited to give him an answer than a servant is." As he saw his father nod, he turned to the black haired man. "Please, if you would be so kind to follow me." He smiled a little, exiting the throne room with his new companion. Lady Murder
As the new person entered on the throne room, Aerys immediately figured that he would be the prince. The posture and the good manners, his walk as well, seemed to be very suitable for a prince, which made him think that his King would be satisfied with his future son-in-law. But as the prince bowed, Aerys slightly arched his eyebrows, feeling a bit uncomfortable for having a prince bowing to him, which again demonstrated the prince's good manner, and now modesty. Aerys quickly knelt down again, his head bent down. "The honor is mine, your highness. I'm Aerys Chevalier and I'm only doing my duty. I hope that I can be able to use my strenght to protect you." His said, now looking to the prince eyes, to show him the truth in his words. After that, he got up, listening while father and son were talking. Obviously, Liam's request was a bit odd, but as he explained himself, Aerys just let them decide by their own. All he wanted to do is sleep, so he could start his mission as soon as possible. The knight nodded to the prince when he asked Aerys to follow him. He once again bowed to the king and queen, then approached Liam, waiting for him to exit the room before following from behind. While walking, he started to pay more attention on the prince, memorizing his features for the future journey.
Ayakashiu
When they were finally alone, heading towards the guest rooms, Liam relaxed a little. They would travel together from now on, a long road lying in front of them, and they couldn't be formal all the time. He hoped the knight won't mind, if he acted more friendly. Some people were really strict, when it came to how royals should behave, but he hoped his new companion wasn't like that. He cleared his throath, before he started to speak. "I'm really grateful, that you will help me come to Lys safely. I hope we'll get along well!" Liam exhaled loudly, feeling awkward. This really didn't sound more friendly or relaxed. He thought about all the questions in his head and they suddenly burst out, all at once. "So what is the princess like? They say she's really beautiful, but what is her personality like? Does she look forward to the wedding? I mean, we are strangers and all, so she probably isn't. Of course I know this is our duty and it is for a higher purpose, but still..I do wonder if you could tell me more about her.." He stopped abrubtly, realising he's suffocating the man with his blabbering. "I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to ask all of this at once. I'm just..really curious." He sighted, thinking that the knight's opinion of him must be, that he's really confused and not really suited to be a prince. Good job! Making a horrible impression right at the beginning..
