Twists and Turns (Ayakashiu/Pigeon)

[Kotorichan]

Akke stared down at his plate, he had kinda hoped that Haru wouldn't notice that. "Uh, yeah... Remember how I said there are certain expectations for twins in the demon culture? That's what I meant... Basically it's believed that twins happen when one infant body can't contain all the power it was developing and so is split in two... Then once both twins reach maturity the one with more power is expected to literally eat the weaker one... I've been avoiding that for years..."

[Ayakashiu]

Haru pushed his sandwich away, loosing his appetite after hearing that. "Sorry to say that but..that's kind of sick. What happens after you eat him? Doesn't he die?" Haru didn't even know why he was asking more questions. Do I even want to know the answers?

[Kotorichan]

"Well, yeah of course he'd die. I'd digest him and gain his strength. Then according to the people who raised me I'd become super powerful, break through the stupid seal that keeps me from my full potential, kill and eat the current ruler of the underworld and become a dictator who rules with an iron fist. You know, that kinda shit" Akke finished his first sandwich and started on his second.

[Ayakashiu]

"Wow, so that's what you are going to be, when you grow up," Haru murmured, too shocked to be serious about this. "But why does your brother want to make you eat him? Does he want to die so badly?" Haru really couldn't understand this logic, not to mention he decided not to dwell on the part where Akke eats everyone.

[Kotorichan]

"Well, that's going to be who I'll become if I decide to go along with this bullshit." Akke put his sandwich down for a moment as he spoke. "Kieno was raised by our parents, I was raised by specialists who helped me learn how to use my power and kept most of it sealed away. I didn't even meet Kieno or my parents until I was twelve. So basically Kieno was convinced by our parents that being eaten by me was the only thing he was alive for and that it was this glorious thing. But then when we actually met, I got super pissed off at my parents for never even visiting me and refused to eat him out of spite." he picked his sandwich up again and shrugged as he stuffed the rest into his mouth. "I don't actually have any brotherly connection with him, I just don't want to give them the satisfaction"

[Ayakashiu]

"Oh.." Haru thought this was really sad. Not that he was really attached to his family either, but he was at least raised by them. It seemed like Akke didn't really have a nice childhood, although, what kind of childhood do demons even have? "Well I hope you decide not to go along with this plan. Eating all those people might give you stomacache." Haru wanted to lighten up the mood.

[Kotorichan]

Akke chuckled softly and swallowed his food. "Yeah, I doubt that would happen. I can eat a lot before I get sick" he stood up and looked down at Haru. "well, are you ready to get going? We might as well get this over with and then tell him to get out"

[Ayakashiu]

Haru only chuckled, before standing up, ready to leave. "How do you stay in such a shape, when you eat so much?" Haru asked in a curious voice. "And yeah, let's get this over with..the sooner, the better." He was still nervous and he just wanted his life to go back to normal. But not back to normal from before he met Akke, just back to normal with them being alone again.

[Kotorichan]

Akke gently took Haru's hand and led him outside. "it's because I'm a demon living in the human world, that takes a lot of energy" he started to walk back towards the apartment. "especially since I haven't gone home in so long... to be honest, staying here is pretty bad for me after awhile"

[Ayakashiu]

"Pretty bad??" Haru got instantly worried, when he heard that. "Then why don't you go to your world more often?" But as soon as he asked that, he realised he didn't want the demon to go. "Em..do you need to stay there long, to restore your energy?" Haru hoped the answer was no; he didn't want the demon to get sick or something, but he didn't like the thought of having him gone for a longer period of time. He got used to having him around all the time.

[Kotorichan]

Akke shrugged "I just never had any reason to go back, it's no that bad yet. But the longer I stay here the weaker I get" He smiled down at Haru. "Are you worried about me?" he chuckled softly. "don't worry, it would just take a couple days to get me better... Maybe I can take you with me next time I go"

[Ayakashiu]

"Of course I worry about you," Haru murmured, while looking away. He still felt that the demon would be better off with someone, who could give him more energy. He still felt the effect of being drained from before, although the demon didn't took much. "You can take me with you? How is it there?" he asked curiously.

[Kotorichan]

"you'd only be able to stay there for a couple days before getting sick... And there's not really a good way to describe it, its just different" Akke sighed softly and stopped in front of the apartment door, it looked exactly like they left it and was even locked. But Akke could sense his brother's presence inside. "well... Are you ready?" he glanced down at Haru.

[Ayakashiu]

Getting sick? Haru didn't really understand, but they arrived at the apartment and he had more pressing concerns on his mind. He was glad that the door looked okay, not hanging from hinges or being broken down. He only nodded to the demon as an answer, pulling out his key and opening the door. He stood before the entrance, turning to the demon. "Maybe it's best if you enter first?"

[Kotorichan]

Akke laughed softly. "you mean you don't want to shield me from my brother?" he stepped forward and reached out for the doorknob, but before he even touched it the door burst open and Akke's brother came out.

Kieno threw his arms around Akke's neck and clung to him. "Akke! I've missed you!" He cried, looking up at his brother with a bright smile. They looked exactly the same in the face, but otherwise were completely different. Kieno was a lot skinnier and had long hair that reached his waist, he was also covered in black tattoos that formed swirling lines and strange letters. The only part of his body that didn't have these markings was his face.

Akke just groaned and tried to push his brother off. "get off me you freak"

[Ayakashiu]

Haru just gave the demon a shy smile, not wanting to walk into his appartment and finding a giant snake in his bed, or something along those lines. But he didn't need to worry, because Akke's brother appeared in that moment. Haru curiously checked him out, finding him a bit intimidating, with all the tattos. Haru also didn't like the fact that he clinged on Akke like he never planned to let him go, but he didn't say anything, prefering Akke to solve this, since he knew his brother.

[Kotorichan]

Kieno nuzzled his face into Akke's neck, he seemed to be acting more like a lover than a brother. "It's been so long... why don't you answer my calls?"

Akke managed to push the demon off and glared at him. "How many times do I have to tell you to stop being so clingy?" He snapped. He took Haru's hand and led him into the apartment, Kieno followed after them.

[Ayakashiu]

Haru didn't really know what to do, so he just obediently followed Akke inside. He was relieved that the demon didn't respond to his brother's affections in the same way, but he was still not happy about his brother acting like this. Before, he was curious to meet him, now he just wanted him to leave already. Haru cleared his throat and spoke to Akke, figuring he can't stay quiet the whole time. "Em, Akke, you want me to make something to drink?"

[Kotorichan]

"I don't want anything, you might poison me you little backstabbing human" Kieno snapped, glaring at Haru. Akke rolled his eyes. "I'd love a drink Haru, preferably something alcoholic. I'm going to need to be at least a little bit tipsy to deal with this" he gestured towards his brother.

[Ayakashiu]

Haru was startled by the Akke's brother's reply, but he decided to jsut ignore it; he didn't want to pick up a fight. "Okay," Haru murmured, heading to the kitchen, checking if he has something stronger than beer, 'cause he'll need it too. He managed to find a bottle of sake, taking a long gulp, before he took it to the demon, grabbing two glasses along the way. Haru almost never drank, but he needed some more courage now.

[Kotorichan]

Akke smiled and took one of the glasses "thanks" he sat down on the couch and sighed. Kieno immediately sat down next to him and snuggled closer. Akke rolled his eyes and patted the space on the other side of himself. "Come on Haru, sit down"

[Ayakashiu]

Haru was reluctant to sit down, since Akke's brother already sat there and it felt awkward, but he didn't really had much choice, since he only owned on couch. He took his time, pouring the drink in the glasses, before he sat down, as far away from the demons as possible on that small couch.

[Kotorichan]

Akke moved over so he was closer to Haru and took a sip of his drink. "mm, that's good" he leaned over and casually kissed the human on the cheek. Kieno made a soft hissing sound and moved closer to Akke, protectively clinging to his arm.

[Ayakashiu]

Haru didn't understand, why the demon was doing this, intentionally provoking his brother. But on the other hand, he didn't want to hide their relationship; he was bothered by the other demon's behavior and it did made him happy Akke noticed him. "I'm happy you like it," Haru answered, moving a little, so he and Akke were sitting right next to each othe now, almost snuggling together. If his brother can do this, I can do it too!

[Kotorichan]

Akke wrapped his arm around Haru's shoulders. In a split second Kieno turned into his snake form, he looked just like Akke in this form but with a long silver stripe down his back. He raised his head up and opened his mouth to hiss, but before he could make a noise Akke grabbed his throat. He quickly pulled away from Haru and slammed Kieno against the wall, making the snake writhe with pain. "What the fuck did I tell you about pulling this shit?" Akke hissed. "I allowed you to visit for the first time in three years with one fucking rule" Kieno shuddered and turned back to his human form, his head hanging in shame.
