"there's a bunch of us, some live in hell, some are like me and just wander around..." Akke shrugged "they'll probably try to eat you, when a demon eats a human that's in a contract with another demon it makes us stronger" he smiled cheerfully at Haru "don't worry though, I'll make sure no one eats you. Also if you don't want your friends to see me, I could become a small snake and hide in your pocket"

"You..please say you're not serious?" Haru started to sweat a little. "They would eat me? L-like for lunch or something?" He rubbed his forehead, a headache starting to form. This was all so overhelming, he didn't even know if he wants to know more about this new world he discovered. "Just..go with me like this..no way that I'll be carrying a snake in my pocket." He felt tired again, thinking about all this, so he didn't even have the energy to get upset.

"It wouldn't have to be lunch, it could be dinner or breakfast... Or even a midnight snack, you never know when you could be found" Akke smirked at the man, taking a step towards him. "why do you seem to hate snakes so much? I'm so cute when I snuggle up with people"

Haru observed the demon, who find all this funny apparently. "Tsk! Cute? That black, slithery thingy? Nope..I don't think so..I prefer you looking like you do now." He took a step back subconsciously, wanting to maintain the distance between them.

Akke's face twitched slightly, for a brief moment he showed a hurt expression at Haru's words. He quickly laughed to cover up the feeling and turned away. "yeah, just be glad I haven't shown you what it looks like when I eat in that form" he teased, his voice light and careless. "come on, you haven't eaten breakfast yet have you?"

Haru saw the demon's face twiched, thinking that he must have made him mad. Can he hurt him, now that they are in a contract? Haru didn't know, but decided that he will be more careful from now on. "Em..no I haven't..do you want to eat out?" He wasn't feeling up to cooking and cleaning afterwards, and it's not he couldn't afford it now. "It'll be my treat!" He laughed a little, trying to lighten a mood.

Akke nodded at the suggestion. "that sounds great, is there somewhere that has good food around here?" he chuckled softly "I usually just eat pop tarts for breakfast" he seemed to be completely back to his cheerful self. But deep down he still felt a bit hurt by Haru's words.

Haru was relieved, seeing that the demon wasn't angry at him. "Yes, there's a nice family restaurant just 5 minutes away from here..they have really big breakfasts!" Haru grabbed his bag, putting in some things he might need for the day. "So shall we go?"

Akke grinned brightly at the man's words. "sounds great, lead the way" he didn't have anything he needed to do to get ready, so he just waited patiently for Haru to get his things together so they could leave. He wasn't familiar with the area and so had no idea where they were headed.

They headed out, Haru leading the way and when they arrived, the owner himself greeted them. When they were seated, Haru explained to the demon "the owner is a family friend and he always takes good care for me. How about you, have any family?" "this might come as a surprise, but yes, I do have a family." Akke picked up a menu and started to look through it. "so, what's good here?" he asked changing the topic almost immediately. He didn't mind talking about himself, but there didn't seem to be any point.

Haru quickly showed the demon on the menu, what is good, but then he was too curious and he had to ask. "So how big is your family? Are you close? Do they live somewhere near?" He knew he was asking too many questions, but he really wanted to know more about him.
