Sosuke0549 Posted June 13, 2014 Share Posted June 13, 2014 Humans have crossed the line... with the countless forests disappearing, junk in the oceans, harmful gasses in the atmosphere, disgusting trash littering the streets... they had killed mother nature, she was a spirit that guarded the Human race and tried to teach them to be kinder, to care about were they live...but we refused to learn and before she died nature had consumed us all... Leaving behind her son and daughter...to rule over humans until they saw the error of there ways... Name~bloom Age~ unknown Personality~ hateful, she's bitter about the humans killing her mother and has no mercy for humans and hates them.,..tho she is some what frightened of the humans too with there flame throwers and bombs. Tho he is also scared of them. He watches them from a far- to scared go up to a human. He's shy at first but kind hearted. The earth is now completely covered in vines,trees, and all kinds of plant life along with Human eating plants mother nature left behind to protect her children. PLANT MONSTERS! Begging Post----- Vine sat at the edge of the underground lake. His home was beneath the humans that struggled to survive. He dipped his feet into the cooling water... splashing a little... The water a shimmering bright blue. He knew the humans would be hunting for food. He had been watching a few of them for months now... they seemed so scary... everything the humans killed that was nature he could feel it...a stinging pain went threw out his body. Every vine cut with their knives, every flower plucked and pulled petal by petal...every burning forest demolished. His sister hated the humans...there were times were Vine had tried speaking to his sister about meeting the humans and she refused saying, "THEY KILLED MOTHER! Do you think if you met them They couldn't kill you too?! Why do you think mother left us the man eating plants! It was for our protection. I know you think humans have a good side to them but they don't.. every day they hurt us... burn our family. Stay away from them Vine...humans are savages... monsters in human skin..." She had told him... He sighed staring at his reflection... "tweet tweet" Vine paused hearing LaLa. His bird friend. "LaLa...how are you?" The little yellow bird sat on his shoulder snuggling into his neck. Vine giggled a little as the bird churpped away. " I understand..the humans are heading out...thank you LaLa.." He kissed the birds little head and quickly headed out of the underground cave..the vines taking him up to the ground floor... He smiled kissing the vine as thank you and climbed up a huge tree.. with ease...so he could watch the humans from down below. Humans had no clue of what him and sister were or looked like... before his mother died she told all humans that she left her children behind. Kotorichan Posted June 13, 2014 Share Posted June 13, 2014 Name: Adam Age: 22 Personality: Quiet, brooding, gets angry easily, has a soft side deep down but doesn't like to show it, tends to act tough and like he knows everything Background: Adam's parents were both part of a group of humans that were trying to live in peace with nature, they ended up getting killed because they were careless when searching the forest for water and were eaten by a plant. Adam and his sister Evelyn were with them at the time, Adam got away with just a few scars but his sister lost a leg and a hand. He now hates nature and wishes he could destroy it for good. He lives with a group of people who are just trying to survive in the world Likes: books/learning, small animals, being up high Dislikes: Plants, other people, unnecessary effort, attention Other: has two piercings in his left ear Adam awoke from another restless night. The sun hadn't even risen and he could already tell that he would be tired for the rest of the day. He slowly got out of of the pile of old sheets that he called a bed and stretched. The group of people that he lived with had taken up residence in a series of caves and tunnels in a mountain side. Most of the tunnels were held up with steel poles and had been dug by the people. It was the only way that they could escape the nature. The man made his way through the dimly lit caves until he found the group that had been assigned to go hunting. They all seemed grim and hopeless. Multiple people had been killed during the past few days, and as they looked at each other they all couldn't help but wonder who was next. Soon they had all arrived and gathered their weapons. They were completely ready but no one really wanted to suggest going, it might be their last time leaving the caves. "Well, what are we waiting for? those monsters aren't going anywhere while we stand around." Adam finally said to the group. There was a reluctant murmur of agreement from the group and they began to trudge through the tunnels. They soon reached a metal door that blocked the outside world from their sanctuary. Once again the group halted, none of them wanted to open the door. A few if the people in the group started to murmur to each other. "w-we have enough food for now don't we?" "yeah, we can just go tomorrow..." Adam whirled around and glared at them. "you cowards! you believe that shit?" he yelled. Sosuke0549 Posted June 13, 2014 Author Share Posted June 13, 2014 Vine sat on a tree branch, his legs dangling. He hummed a sweet melody until he spotted the humans. He gulped watching them closely. There seemed to be a leader... a boy with dark black hair and... strange stuff wrapped around his body. Vine was rather naked other then the white material he wore around his waist it stopped just above his knees. It was made from spider webs, nothing like human clothing. Vine didn't know why but something about the humans made him very curious. He was scared of them... yes... and would most likely never approach one but... just seeing how they behaved. Mother told him and Bloom to watch other The human's, to guide them... but so far it was clear that they would never see the error of there ways. "Hey Adam! I found some fruit over here! I doubt we'll get any animals today. " It wasn't wise to eat fruit because many of the common day ones have become poisoned by nature. To clean them-you'd need special tools and minerals that the group just...didn't have. Eating them would be a risk... there was probably a 20% chance that half of the fruit they picked would be poisoned, and a few of them would die. Vine's attention fell on a human man who was walking closer to a man eating plant in slumber. He bit his lip lightly. Any closer and he'd awaken the beast. Kotorichan Posted June 13, 2014 Share Posted June 13, 2014 Adam sighed at the mention of fruit, he knew how dangerous it was but it would be better than going back empty handed. "alright, let's gather it up then..." He trudged towards the plant that had been gestured too. He was feeling a little bit wobbly from his lack of sleep but forced himself to keep going. He saw something that looked like movement in the trees. He could feel himself growing hopeful that they might find an animal today. Adam hurried through the trees towards the movement. If they could catch an animal, even just a small one, then less people would have to eat the fruit and fewer people would die. That was all that was in his mind as he half jogged through the trees. He was so tied of all the death. As he moved through the forest his hand brushed against the sleeping plant. It shuddered and awoke with a slow growling noise. Adam froze, his eyes widening as he looked up at the plant that was opening it's gaping jaws. He had seen enough people eaten to know there was no point in running, it was over for him. He quickly realized that it was the leader of the humans who caused his friend to awaken. Many of the other humans ran or aimed at the man eating beast. How dare they aim those horrible weapons to his family! They should of never woken them! Suddenly two more man eating plants awakened- wrapping there vines around the men and eating them. It all happened so fast, He watched as his friend picked up the leader- digging its thorns into the body .... blood now scattering the land. It was a horrific site, filled with the blood curdling screams. no... that's what they deserve... don't you dare help them Vine! There monsters! Don't help them! Don't pity them! He thought to himself. But ... he just couldn't sit back and watch... He was too...kind hearted. "s...STOOOOOP!" His voice echoed threw out the forest. The huge man eating plants suddenly stopped, dropping the human leader and moving away deeper into the forest. He saw the human fall hard to the floor, Vine knew he shouldn't but, he jumped down from his tree and landed gently on the grass. He slowly approached the human...who appeared to be unconscious. He gazed over the human who they called Adam. And to Vine. He was beautiful... Vine had never been this close to a real human before! One that breathed and talked. Vine was glowing in the sunlight. His skin a light pail, his hair the color of snow... his eyes as green as nature. He slowly reached out to Adam... curious to see what the human felt like but he panicked hearing foot steps, He had thought the humans retreated but..... "ADAM!!! Adam! Where are you?!" Scared Vine snuck into the grass vanishing... only leaving behind a glowing blue flower. Know as a Blue Angel- a rare flower that could only be found in the high mountains miles and miles away from humans.. hidden and growing in cold icy snow.. Surrounding the beautiful flower was a hand full of snow.. to help keep it alive. It was so unreal! A blue Angel in the hot humid forest! Vine had left it behind so the human could heal his wounds and be ok.. Marco stumbled apon there leader and keeled down to him. Adam...? You alright? He closed his eyes as he was brought to the monster's mouth, ready to accept his fate. He felt a strange sense of serenity as he realized it was over. No more fighting, no more pain, no more death. But just as he was ready to accept his fate a voice rang out through the trees, his eyes snapped open at the sound. It wasn't anyone he knew, but the only people that could be out here were the people from his group. His surprise only grew when he was dropped to the ground. Adam shut his eyes tightly as pain spread through his body. He kept his eyes closed as he tried to process what had just happened, he was in far too much shock to do anything else. His eyes snapped open when he heard his voice being called. He thought he saw someone in the grass but quickly dismissed it as just his imagination. Adam slowly sat up as the other man stumbled towards him. He was bleeding from the thorns but it wasn't anything he couldn't handle "yeah, I'm fine... That fucking monster just..." He trailed off when he noticed the flower. "what the hell? that wasn't there before..." He rubbed his eyes, trying to make sure he wasn't seeing things. Adam.... so... that's his name.. He wondered if Adam was ok... did he see him? Did he use the blue Angel to heal himself? Vine's weakness was that he was too kind hearted, too curious, Too forgiving..and his sister worried that it would kill him one day... Night fell fast and Vine went to sleep. ----------------------------------- In another town far away humans were setting a large forest on fire. The lush green forests turning into a bright burning blaze of yellows,reds, and oranges. Bloom watched from a high mountain. You could see the fire so clearly at night. It was as if it was day. Tears fell from the girls face. She heard the plants scream... she felt there suffering... the plants made a shrieking sound like fingernails on a chalkboard. Even Vine felt it deep underground... He struggled to sleep, tossing and turning, tears building up in his own eyes. Bloom and Vine were connected to every plant...they felt everything... Bloom felt a tug on her dress and glanced to her side finding a large man eating plant beside her...snuggling into her as if to comfort The crying girl... "thank you..." Her eyes fluttering back to the large fire... Humans will never learn their place... they are monsters... how could mother ever ask us to help these people..I can not show them mercy... She thought petting her plant friend... Her eyes glowed a menacing green as the grass that the Humans stepped on started grabbing them.Wraping itself around the humans legs...yanking them into the ground. The cold dark brown dirt ... only to suffocate them. The night air was suddenly filling with screams. "AHHH!!" "HELP!" " WHAT THE HELLS GOING ON!" "AGGGH!! "AHHHHHHHHHHHH" it was rather sad...but it was music to Blooms ears... and when it became dead silent, she knew it was done..her eyes returning to there sparkling normal green...Rain suddenly hit the earth...putting out the roaring flames in minutes....It was a very cold night....a very.... sad night indeed. --------------------------------- { next day } That very same village sent a messager to Adams village. Thinking there group went missing...and not knowing that they all were dead. A old man in his late 40's banged on Adams door begging. He had gotten others to let him inside there rock city. He explained what happened to the young man. "Please help us look for them! My son was in that group! He's only just a boy! Please oh please! " That night they had lost 38 men...some fathers, husbands, teenagers, brothers, lovers. The man was in tears...not knowing the utter truth... ---------------------------- Vine was sleeping soundly in a flower meadow. Surrounded by dazzling colors and laying on soft grass...not knowing about his sister's doing. There mother had made it perfectly clear that they were not to harm humans. They had no right to kill, that was the man eating plants job. They were suppose to be the hope For the humans... Kotorichan Posted June 14, 2014 Share Posted June 14, 2014 Adam had refused to use the flower to heal himself. The wounds weren't too deep so he just bandaged them up with some old rags. He figured that someone else needed the flower more than he did so he gave it to the doctors of their group. Everyone was shocked that such a rare flower had just appeared. Adam ended up just helping others for the rest of the day, pretty soon it was night and as usual he barely got any sleep. He woke up to the banging on his door and groggily got up. Adam did his best to listen to the man's story without showing any hopelessness. "I'll get a couple of men to come with me and look for them... But please understand that we can't spend too much time on the search, we have our own people to look after" He said, trying not to sound heartless. He gathered a few men that could be spared from the usual work and set out towards the place that the old man had told them about. They stuck to areas that were rocky so that they wouldn't run into many plants. He wanted to go to were the fire happened and regrow that area... as he walked he sang not realizing that Humans were close by... and could hear him. "Deep in the forest were dangers lays~... lurking at ever Bush a stray~.... if you close your eyes and listen you just might hear...there songs they sing for you to hear~..." You could tell it was a boy singing and one who had an extraordinary voice. Soft and serene... One of the villagers hushed everyone. "Guys listen! " The boys voice grew closer and closer... Vine stopped singing when LaLa suddenly came out of no were...and was chirping like crazy. "Hey.. wait I can't understand you when your talking so fast" "Tweet! Tweet Tweet Tweet! Vine's eyes widened. "There a humans near by?! T-thank you LaLa I'll leave right now" But just when he turned he heard the sound of a twig breaking and turned as a human emerged from a Bush making eye connect with him. And the human quickly pointed his firearm straight at him.. Vine looked strange of course.. Wearing a white tunic with no stains or dirt what so ever...having magical snow white hair and abnormal light blue eyes. He was barefoot and there were small vines wrapped along his legs. "W-What the hell are you?" The guy glared. "GUYS! I found something! " Vine panicked, his body trembling as he took a step back and turned to run but the man told him not to move or he'd shoot... he was terrified. You could see it in his eyes. When he heard footsteps he quickly disappeared into the grass underneath... Reappearing up high in a huge tree just above the man..he could see the humans now looking for him.. What was he to do now? The humans saw him... they could kill him...wouldn't they? Vine noticed one particularly human... Adam...and bit his lip..so he was here too? "There!!!" A human spotted him in a tree and out of no were, and with out warning, fired. The force of the bullet made Vine fall back.. it was strange because it felt like everything was going in slow motion. He felt a sharp pain in his shoulder as he fell head first from the 10 story tree. Everything speeding up as Vine landed head first on the ground... unconscious from the high fall... Small plants started to wrap around the boys body quickly trying to pull him underground before the humans got to him... Immediately Bloom knew her brother was in trouble. When one of the members of the group ran after the voice Adam quickly followed him. He stared in shock at the boy in the trees. He looked strange but beautiful. Adam noticed the gun in the man's hand only when it was too late "wait! we don't know if he's-" he started to protest to the threats. But he couldn't finish before the boy disappeared. The other humans panicked, they started staying that the person they saw was some kind of demon. "that's ridiculous, he seemed to be living out here, maybe he can help us!" Adam tried to reason with them but it was useless. One noticed the boy in the tree and fired without any thought. "idiot!" Adam gasped as he saw the boy fall and bolted to where the body landed. He panicked when he saw the plants curling around the boy, immediately assuming they were trying to kill him. He pulled a knife out of his belt and mercilessly hacked them away. In Adams arms Vine was light, and very warm. His skin was glistening a beautiful pail... his hair covering his forehead, stray strains hiding his eyes which were closed, but you could clearly see his long white eye lashes. The half naked boy was completely breathtaking. Vine's wound was strange, the boy bled...yes. But it wasn't blood. It was a gooey green substance. And it appeared as if the boy was slowly healing himself... "What the hell is it?!" A man came up behind Adam, "It can't be a normal human boy- it's suicide to live out here in the forest by yourself! " Others soon crowded around Adam wanting to get a look at the strange boy. In the distance you could hear the shrieks of Man eating plants drawing near. They needed to hurry and leave. Vine's head was hurting, as he gripped at the human's shirt. Looking helpless and weak. "his mother probably just ate a strange fruit while pregnant, you know how weird those things are" he said quickly, trying to calm the others. "we'll take him back with us, if he's been living out here then maybe he can help us" He carefully picked the strange boy up. "Come on, I think it's pretty obvious that those guys didn't make it. Let's head back before we end up like them" Adam started to hurry back towards their hideout, making sure that the others were all following him. Some of them grumbled disagreements but none of them said anything to stop him. They quickly reached the entrance and went inside. Adam brought the boy to the doctors, hoping that they might be able to treat his wound. He gave the doctors the same explanation for the stranger's appearance. He was out cold, but never the less they believed Adam's explanation. And decided to let Meg take care of the strange, yet beautiful child. She removed the bullet from his shoulder and bandaged him up. The news of the strange child spread threw out the under ground city like wild fire in the forest. Many wanted to see the boy, others wanted him questioned and most likely killed, thinking he was a plant in human skin. When the nurse finished, she pulled away from him.and washed her hands in a bucket filled with soapy water. "He'll be fine... He should wake up soon." She turned her attention to Adam. "You... know I like you..right Adam?" Meg offended took care of Adam's little sister who was disabled And grew up with Adam as a child. She was always friend zoned by the boy but she was determined to love him and only him. " I'm glad to see your ok...But..I... I worry about you Adam. Going out there. I've had nightmares. Seeing those man eating plants eat you...I... I know your the leader but..." Her voice grew faint. She had always loved Adam. He looked away holding herself. Meg was a pretty girl. With black long hair tied in a pony tail and piercing blue eyes. She was a light tan color, and was kind to everyone. She was also the one cooking almost everyone's meals when she wasn't being a nurse. ----------------------------------- Bloom stood high in the trees. Birds were on the look out for Vine. The sister was extremely worried. Vine was not like her. He was frail, and shy, and... vulnerable. She was slowly starting to panic. The forest more lively then ever.Just last night The humans were burning there home and now they had took her brother?! It was unforgivable! She found herself crying in the tree tops. She screamed out for her brother. "VINE! ...VIIIIINE! " Her voice cracking... like a child's. "V-Vine! ... w-we're are you?!!?!.. BROTHER! " When she heard nothing but the wind she fell againest the tree crying... the trees vines, feeling her sorrow and pain, quickly went to comfort her as they wrapped themselves around Bloom. He looked down at the ground with a frown. "Meg I..." He trailed off and rubbed his eyes "I'm sorry, it's not that I don't like you that way... I just have so much to worry about right now, I really don't have the energy to even think about having that kind of relationship..." He sat down heavily on a rock. "I'm sorry, I don't mean to worry you. But I have to go out, no one would get anything done if I wasn't out there... They're too scared of getting hurt that they would rather starve in these caves than even try..." Adam looked up at Meg with a pained expression. "You should try to find some other guy Meg... You're wonderful and if you like me then you're just going to get hurt... I'm always busy so even if we were together I wouldn't be able to spend much time with you or anything, and who knows when I could get killed" He really didn't know how he felt about Meg. He never really thought about her that way but he had always been so busy trying to take care of everyone that he just never had the chance. She really was beautiful, but he just didn't know. "remember when we were kids and I told you I'd beat up any guy that made you cry?" Adam tried to smile at her but it just looked unnatural, he almost never smiled anymore. She muttered, looking away from the boy she had a crush on almost all her life. "Just... think about it.. okay? I mean.. "He''ll wake up soon, you might want to get him out of here and at your place." And she left. Disappearing. Vine was still unconscious and didn't hear a word of what the human's were saying. Kotorichan Posted June 14, 2014 Share Posted June 14, 2014 "I'm sorry..." Adam said quietly as she left. He felt horrible for hurting her, but he didn't want to put her in danger either. He sighed and walked over to the unconscious boy. He stared down at him for a moment before gently picking him up and carrying him back to his own little cave he called a come. Adam laid the boy down on his makeshift bed of old pieces of fabric and lit a lantern to keep the cave bright. He sat down on the floor and rested his head in his hands. He wanted to go visit his sister but it would be bad if the boy woke up without anyone there, so he decided to just wait. He closed his eyes as he waited for the boy to wake up. Adam knew he wouldn't fall asleep, it took him hours to sleep every night, he just needed to rest his eyes for a few minutes. He wondered if there was anything he could say to make up with Meg. Vine slowly awakened, opening those strange but alluring light blue eyes. He sat up trying to remember what happened when he felt a strange thing on his body. It was a blanket...tho he had no idea what it was. He quickly pulled it off him thinking it May hurt him. He had never sewn such a thing. His head felt better now.. He soon saw the strange things wrapped around his wound. What was it? Un-sure he tugged the bandages off, and that's when Vine noticed the human. His body was hit with fear. He pressed his back againest the wall. As he stayed utterly silent, tears building up in his eyes, his body trembling. H-Human! N-no!... t-there going to kill me! He quickly looked around the room, but there were no plants. BLOOM?! LALA?! FRIENDS! Help me!!! Please help!!! Scared! I'm scared!!! He shrieked in his head. Holding himself. There were no plants near buy... he was surround ...stuck in a room... contained.. he had never been contained before ... this place was too small! he was accustomed to the open forest... if Vine had a heart beat it would be racing by now... the boy started to panic ,breathing faster. Terrified that the humans would torture him. He curled up in a ball in a effort to protect himself. Poor Vine.... Kotorichan Posted June 14, 2014 Share Posted June 14, 2014 Adam opened his eyes when he heard movement. He gasped when he noticed the boy pulling the bandages off. "what are you doing? you'll-" he cut himself off when he saw how much the boy was shaking. He frowned and moved a little closer. "hey... what's wrong? I'm not going to hurt you.. I know those guys I was with shot you, but they were just scared because you look... different" Adam put his hands out to show that he didn't have any weapons. "I just wanna help, you were hurt and those plants were about to eat you... I couldn't just leave you there" He stayed a few feet away from the stranger, he didn't want to scare him anymore. "look, once you're all better you're free to leave... You're welcome to stay if you were just out there alone, but we're not going to keep you here against your will" he considered trying to smile but then realized that it might make him look ever more scary so he just kept a calm expression. "hey... what's wrong? I'm not going to hurt you.. Of course they would say something like that. If they ment no harm then why did they destroy everything they touched. He glanced at Adam as he put out his hands, showing no weapons. "I just wanna help, you were hurt and those plants were about to eat you... I couldn't just leave you there"[/Quote] Help? He wanted to help him?! Lies! And saying those plants would eat him was completely absurd! He looked at the human with anger. Vine's wound was fine, infact it was completely healed. "My friends...would..n-never do that! Y...you all lie! His pail blue eyes piercing. His voice was naturally sweet...and tho he tried to make it threatening and frightening- it only came out as scared and kind hearted. You're welcome to stay if you were just out there alone, but we're not going to keep you here against your will" [/Quote] His eyes widened slightly. They weren't going to torture him? Kill him? Was this human really going to set him free? It didn't make any sense. The things he felt... saw... and the things he heard from his sister! This filthy human must of been lying to him! That's the only explanation! ---------------------------------- In another village, during this time, a group of men carried out a meeting with the goal to come up with a plan to exterminate the men eating plants and the one responsible for directing them. They sat around a large rectangular table to discuss the newly gathered information. Another group of about 5 men walked in last. They were dressed different than the rest, and their clothes were covered with slimy liquid. They had weapons on them and looked quite terrifying. "You are finally here, Research Team" An old man with white hair and beard said and gave the command for the meeting to start. "Sorry for making you wait, we were finishing some "business" at the east of here. Tonight the forest seems a bit anxious." The leader of the Research Team replied as they all took a seat. "Gentlemen, i have reports of a human-looking creature living in the forest together with the plants. We dont know how many there are, but it seems more than one." "Impossible!" The old man from before shouted standing up from his seat in surprise. "There is no way a human can survive out there! How did you came to this information!?" The Research Team's leader smirked and motioned for the man to sit down. "Calm down gentlemen...this information was gathered by the latest of technology in our lab. The accuracy is 100%." There were gasps all over the room at this news. "How should we proceed then?" The old man asked and the leader proceeded to explain his plans. "Well..I myself and my team speculate that this human-looking creature that is living in the forest is indeed just one of Mother Nature's children . If you call recalled- the dead spirit stated that she would be leaving behind her children. Since she say "children" I can only assume that there's more then one. We humans assumed that when Mother Nature said children, She was speaking of plant life, but what if... her" children" are spirits like her." The group of men broke out into a gasp, shocked. "If I'm correct on my theory. I want the children captured and tested on for further research. " The bearded man nodded with urgency. "Of course Professor Gin! Please do whatever you see fit! Gin bowed to the men, grinning mischievously. "Of course... There is no where you can hid... I will find you abominations....and deal with you myself. Those fucking monsters that kill everyone they come across? How stupid are you? You're lucky you've survived this long with that stupid attitude!" he clenched his hands into fists. "I don't know if you've seen what those... Things do. But believe me, no matter how much you try to convince yourself that we can somehow live with those they will always be ready to kill you" He took a few deep breaths to calm himself. "I don't know what kind of crazy mutation you are, but those monsters were about to eat you." "maybe you haven't figured it out yet, but all those bullshit stories about mother nature leaving her children to take care of us aren't referring to some magical forest people that'll help us fix our ways. She left a bunch of monsters to take care of us by slaughtering every last one of us" Adam's voice was cold and full of hate. Whenever someone talked about the plants as if they could be reasoned with it just reminded him of his parents. How they would always try to work with nature as if that would somehow help them. Tears fell down Vine's face. Pretty crystal, salty tears. "That's not true! " He shook his head, hiding his face. "They protect us! But you haven't changed! You attacked me! If you all die out- it was for a good reason! You are the monsters- and you deserve to be torn apart and eaten by the man eating plants! " Vine glared, struggling to move further away. "my parents dedicated their entire lives to trying to live in harmony with those things, and guess what? They were torn to pieces just like everyone else" He shook his head angrily. "if only I had realized how stupid they were to try to talk to those things my sister might still have all her limbs... It doesn't matter what we do, those things just want us dead." "I wasn't even the one who shot you, those guys thought you were some new kind of plant. Everyone is fucking terrified because there is nothing we can do to protect ourselves or the people we care about" he glared at the boy "we're being punished for something we didn't even do, I wasn't even born when all this shit started and yet I go out there and risk my life trying to find food every day. Guess what? Most days I still go to bed hungry because I give up what little we find for the other people, if I just decided to give up half this town would starve in less than a week" "If you think that I deserve to die for trying to survive in this hell then why don't you just go ahead and kill me" Adam spread his arms out "you even talk like you think you're one of them, maybe you'll eat me like one of those things you think are wonderful." You pluck us pedal by pedal! You cut our roots! You cut down the trees! And you never once asked! You never once thanked us. Mother was dying slowly... and even tho you all were warned- you continued to ruin everything...and she died... but mother still had hope...she loved you humans... and we are forbidden to kill human's. The man eating plants protect us from you! My sister and I came to greet you all but...you only attacked us. So we hid, and this is a beautiful world! Its beautiful because you humans can't ruin it! I... I watched many of you...I've seen you humans kill each other... betray one another...Sister says you all will never change and she hates humans" Vine slowly stood. " ....Mother would want me...to help you...She saw kindness is humans...and...beauty...but I only will help you if you promise not to hurt me- and only then! No hurting my friends any more too! " He looked at the boy. Adam didn't know this but humans were constantly attacked by plants because of the weapons they carry. "you're supposed to be the children that..." he trailed off. "so.. let me get one thing straight, because people didn't accept you years and years ago you decided to let us die? To let everyone go mad with fear so we kill each other to survive?" His hands were starting to shake, he was so angry. "we kill the plants and trees because we don't know what else to do, you want to protect your... friends don't you? we're the same! I don't want the people I love to die so I do whatever it takes! you can't blame us for something that none of us actually did!" He turned away, finding it hard to look at the boy. "you just watched us fall apart? you watched us get killed by something we could never understand or hope to fight? you watched parents kill their children because they didn't want them to live in this world? you just watched? Didn't you feel anything? It gets worse everyday! The more of that die the harder it would be to convince people to stop trying to burn the forests!" Adam whirled around to face the boy again. "I want to change things! I don't want to live another day in this hell but at this point I don't think anyone else would even consider trying to work with those thing!" Adam didn't understand! He covered his ears, shaking. So was there no point? Would this continue for ever? Constantly feelings pain... and constantly struggling against the humans. ".. t-take me home! I want to go home! He cried! Sparkling tears slipping down his soft cheeks. He didn't know what to tell the human. But it was clear that he wouldn't listen.
