Vine nodded understanding.

"y-Yes...I will. And I'll remember...Adam."

It was strange saying a humans name before. He looked away and started walking, but he stopped when Adam called out to him.

"Wait! Uh, how could I contact you if I need to talk to you about something?" [/Quote]

Vine thought, he had no clue.

"W-well...

He looked at LaLa-remembering she was still there and smiled.

"Use LaLa... if you tell her you need me she will come and find me...

The bird nodded As it flew and landed on Meg's shoulder.

"I..I will see you again...yes? ....Bye bye"

And Vine disappeared in the forest, after a long moment Meg looked at Adam.

"That just happened...that really just happened! Adam- look at all this food! And four Blue Angels! We could no only heal your sister but half the town!"

"I just hope we can convince people to even try eating the fruit..." Adam frowned "they might be too scared of it to even try..."

 

He sighed softly and rubbed his eyes. "I guess we should at least try though" He tried to smile at her but it just looked forced. He was completely exhausted and already starting to stress about how the others would take the news.

 

He looked down at the pile of fruit. He knew he had pretty much lied to Meg about his condition, he felt like he was about to collapse and the wounds the plants had given him were starting to hurt again. "let's just carry some of these inside..." he mumbled.

"I just hope we can convince people to even try eating the fruit...they might be too scared of it to even try..."[/Quote]

Meg frowned.

"You convinced them to let me come outside! I'm the first women to see this since 105 year's ago when this happened!

I'm sure you can get them to eat. We have to try."

"I guess we should at least try though"[/Quote]

"Its the least we could do."

Meg saw how Adam tried to smile at her...but she could clearly see it was forced. Adam looked really exhausted and she was worried about him.

"Adam...

She said his name sadly.

"let's just carry some of these inside..."[/Quote]

"Wait... your wounds are hurting again aren't they? It's about time for some new ointment and bandages. Plus this heat in not helping. Just sit down. I don't want you lifting anything. I'll go get the guys and tell them to come and help. And then I'll treat your injuries again.

She smiled at him and kissed his cheek.

"And for future reference Adam. You can't lie to me about your condition. I'm a nurse after all...and the finest in town~ you need to stay hydrated"

She handed him a sealed container that had some water in it.

'I'll be right back. "

And she ran back into the cave.

Adam sighed and sat down on the grass. "I just don't like to make you worry..." he mumbled, taking the water from Meg.

 

"Make sure that no one brings any weapons, if they won't listen then come out and get me!" he called after her.

 

He took a big drink of water and lay back on the grass, rubbing his forehead to try to fight off a headache.

 

Adam closed his eyes and sighed, he remembered that another group had sent a messenger a few days ago begging for someone to take in some of their people. The group's home was slowly being destroyed by plants and they didn't know how long they would last. Adam had been unable to turn them away and so the rest of the group would probably be arriving soon. He was glad that now they would have enough food and medicine not to cause any problems.

he mumbled, taking the water from her. Meg rolled her pretty blue eyes.

"Not telling me the truth makes me worry even more. Dumb dumb~

She joked with him before leaving. She heard Adam call out to her.

"Make sure that no one brings any weapons, if they won't listen then come out and get me!" [/Quote]

When Meg came back she brought back only four guys... since the rest refused to come outside with out any weapons. Meg keeled down to Adam.

"The rest refused to come...how are you feeling?"

The four guys starred at the food bewildered!

"H-how?"

"HOLY SHIT! This could feed us for months! "

"Guys check out the Blue Angels! And I thought they were aloud of bull! But there real!!"

"A-Adam! How'd you do it! How'd you get all this?!"

"Yeah?! And you weren't attacked my pants?! Your a dead man going up here with out any protection! "

Meg frowned- helping Adam up.

"No time for questions! I came to get you because we needed help carrying this stuff! Not so you could talk up a storm! Get your ass's I'm gear and carry this stuff back! People are starving down there! "

Damn...Meg was pissed. The guys quickly shut up and grabbed the food heading back into the cave- practically running!

"Y-Yes!!!"

They yelled- terrified. She sighed looking at Adam.

"Lets get you inside before your wounds reopen. And it'll take them multiple trips to get all the stuff... s-sorry...I couldn't bring more"

She looked at the ground but suddenly froze as a Huge man eating plant stood right behind them. Its shadow over topping them, blocking the suns rays. She looked back. Tears building up in her eyes. She had heard story's but...to see the real thing!

"AHHHHHHHH!!! H-HELP!! HELP ME!! I-I DON'T WANT TO DIE!!"

The man eating plant Grabbed one of the guys. And suddenly started to rip his limbs off his body... Cushing him with its sharp thorns. Blood fell on Meg and Adam. As the monster ate it's prey. Meg screamed at the sight of her. At the sight of death and blood-

"AHHHHHHHH!!! AHHHHHH!!!!"

Her screaming were heartbreaking. Meg's legs where shaking. She heard the others yelling at her to run but...she was frozen! Her knees hit the ground... tears streaming down her face as she was drenched in human blood...forgetting she had Adam by her side. Her idea of a beautiful outside world was..shattered!

 

But then something simmered in the sunlight and that's where she saw a bloody knife in the grass...the man didn't come up here unharmed- he was carrying...a knife...

The man eating plant roared! Looking down at her...but... it didn't attack her. It started to sniff her...She trembled- terrified.

Adam barely had a chance to react to Meg's words before the plant appeared. He instinctively pulled her to his chest, trying to get between her and the plant. He didn't have any way to fight back and so just tried to shield her. "don't look, Meg" he held her tightly, trying to protect her somehow.

 

His eyes narrowed when he saw the knife fall to the ground. "that idiot..." His voice came out as a growl.

 

When the plant came closer to Meg, Adam quickly pushed her back glaring at the monstrous plant. "Leave her alone!" he snapped, his shoulders were shaking. He always ended up acting angry when he was scared, and right now he was completely terrified.

 

"neither of us have any weapons! we're not going to hurt anything, so go away!" Adam tried to keep his voice from trembling as he spoke, he could tell that his wounds had reopened and blood was starting to seep through the bandages.

Meg felt Adam's arms... His strong arms around her. He instinctively pulled her to his chest, She could hear his heart racing! She clung to him, trembling Like a leaf in a storm.

"don't look, Meg"[/Quote]

It was too late...she saw... and she was covered in blood. Her nose and eyes burning at the mere sight and scent of it! Even tho Adam was shielding her...and holding her Ever so tightly he couldn't protect her. He couldn't turn back time so she remained pure, innocent, and ignorant.

His voice came out as a growl. So rather then terrified...Was Adam mad? Meg looked up at him...the crimson blood splattered all over his face. The man eating Plant was coming closer to her... sniffling her... She winced As Adam quickly pushed her back glaring at the monstrous plant.

"n..no..A-Adam. "

She noticed his shoulders shoulders were shaking. So....does that mean he was as terrified As she was? Adam was so brave!

"neither of us have any weapons! we're not going to hurt anything, so go away!"[/Quote]

The man eating plant tilted its head to the side. Observing the human before turning to leave... it soon disappeared in the forest. Sparing them. Meg was in shock, she had just seen someone brutally killed... She noticed that Adam reopened his wounds but... she was trembling so much And too scared to talk that she remained silent. Traumatized.

Adam turned to Meg as soon as the plant left, he ignored the pain from his leg and cupped her cheeks in his hands. "Meg? Are you okay? Fuck... I'm sorry..." he didn't even know why he was apologizing.

 

"You're safe now, it's gone" he pressed a gentle kiss to her lips, trying to help her calm down. "let's get you inside..."

 

He shakily stood up and gathered her into his arms. The adrenaline from the experience gave him enough strength to quickly carry the girl back into the caves. But as soon as they were safely inside, Adam's legs gave out completely. He kept holding Meg in his arms, his shoulders still shaking with fear. He tried to take deep breathes to calm himself down. "I'm sorry..." he murmured again, holding her tightly.

Meg felt a warm palm on her strained yet gentle cheeks. She was forced to raise her head to Adam. She eyes stunned with terror.

"Meg? Are you okay? Fuck... I'm sorry..."[/Quote]

"... b-blood... t-there's so much! "

Tears started building up in her eyes again.

"You're safe now, it's gone"[/Quote]

"N..no..

She suddenly felt presser on her soft pink lips. A kiss?

 

She slowly relaxed into Adam's warm embrace. He felt so good... she was shaking less now... and was coming back.

"let's get you inside..."[/Quote]

She nodded clinging to the boy She loved. She liked how Adam was able to carry him inside,but when the boys legs gave out completely. Meg panicked. She sat up after taking the fall. Looking at Adam worried.

"A-Adam! I... ill go get help! I'll-"

She paused seeing the boy kept holding her in his strong arms. His shoulders shaking with fear. He was taking deep breaths... He wasn't the only one who was traumatized and scarred.

"I'm sorry..."[/Quote]

Adam was holding on to her so tightly. Like a lost child finding its mother. She hugged him, holding him to her chest. She gently ran her fingers threw his hair...and squzzed his hand gently.

".. I.. I finally understand now... why everyone's so afraid... I'm sorry too. I'm.sorry you had you see that more then once..."

She was shaking a little still but held Adam,

"Its gonna be ok...everything's gonna be ok..."

Adam pressed his face into her chest, shutting his eyes to hold back tears as he clung to her. "I thought I was going to lose you too.." he said quietly, trying to calm himself down. "I didn't know what to do... I just..." his voice cracked.

 

He bit down on his lip and just held her tightly for a minute. Slowly his shoulders stopped shaking and he pulled away, taking a deep breath. "I'm okay, I'm fine" he murmured, mostly trying to convince himself. "Let's get home..." he slowly tried to stand up, hissing at the pain that coursed through his legs and body. He had to steady himself on the cave wall to stay upright.

Meg felt Adam press himself into her... shuttering and holding back tears.

"I thought I was going to lose you too.."[/Quote]

"A-Adam... I'm okay... I'm still here and its because you... you saved me."

"I didn't know what to do... I just..."[/Quote]

Adam's voice cracked. Meg continued to stroke her fingers threw his smooth black hair.

"Even so...you did the right thing. Your so brave Adam..."

"I'm okay, I'm fine"[/Quote]

Meg frowned a little as Adam pulled away, hos warmth disappearing...He looked okay now...but...

"A-Are you sure?"

"Let's get home..."[/Quote]

She nodded and slowly stood up. When she saw her boyfriend struggling she took his arm and put it around the back of her neck. Keeping him up.

"Let me help.. I need to treat your wounds... and...plus- we are a mess, we should clean up before checking on your little sis. I'm.sure she's worried. "

The two were still covered in there fallen comrades blood. Meg was dying to take a hot shower or bath.. she felt so..disgusting.

Adam reluctantly leaned on Meg "Yeah... Evelyn must be worried sick... Did you tell her you were going outside?"

 

He slowly started to walk towards the city, trying not to show how much pain he was in. When they finally reached the cave that was reserved for medical situations he sat down heavily on a rock.

 

Adam closed his eyes and let out a soft hiss of pain. His pants were stained with the blood of his reopened wounds. "maybe I should try actually letting my wounds heal before I got running around..." he laughed nervously.

 

He started to try to pull his pants leg up to let Meg clean the cuts. He had to bite his lip to stop himself from making any noise at the pain.

Meg smiled at Adam.

"Yeah... Evelyn must be worried sick... Did you tell her you were going outside?"[/Quote]

"No...She was asleep When I left...and besides I didn't want her to worry about me... she has enough to worry about.

When they reached the cave reserved for medical situations She helped Adam sit down on a rock. Running to get the medical kit.

"maybe I should try actually letting my wounds heal before I got running around..."[/Quote]

She heard Adam laugh nervously. Probably trying to lighten the mood.

"...yeah"

She muttered, coming over to him just as he finished pulling his pant leg up. She touched his injury gently.

"I'm going to need to restrict your wounds... do you want some anesthesia? "

She pulled out a needle. Wanting to help with the boys pain. Knowing it was going to hurt badly.

"I'll give you some pain pills after."

Adam winced at the touch and shut his eyes. Needles had always scared him. "If you have enough anesthesia that would be great..." he said through gritted teeth.

 

He was already starting to tremble a little bit. He was so scared for getting stitches again that it was impossible for him to even pretend to be calm.

 

"fuck... you'd think I'd be used to this by now" he murmured, his whole body shaking just by the thought of the needle.

Meg smiled at her shaking boyfriend. Knowing he was scared of needles.He thought he was really cute when he winced and shut his eyes.

"If you have enough anesthesia that would be great..."[/Quote]

"I have enough... you'll feel funny for about an hour."

Meg struggled to hide her laugher as She injected him. A small pinch. When she finished she cupped Adam's cheek and pecked the boys lips with a kiss.

"Stay still.. and leave your eyes closed. It helps when your not watching. "

She pulled away and started sowing up the boys skin. After about 30 to 40 minutes she was done and bandaged him up.

"I'm done.. you can open your eyes now"

She smiled at Adam once more. Her finger tips stained with his blood. Not to mention her clothes along with Adam's where drenched in blood.

"We should go to my place to shower, we don't want Evelyn seeing us like this."

Adam managed to stay still the entire time Meg was stitching him up. He didn't say a word and just kept his eyes shut tightly.

 

When she finally told him to open his eyes he shakily looked down at her. "i-it's over?" he asked, his voice trembling.

 

He slowly stood up, feeling a little bit dizzy. "yeah... Let's go shower... I don't want Evelyn to worry anymore than she already does" he rubbed his eyes, trying to fight of the dizziness. "I just hope I can walk straight..." he mumbled "I feel really shitty right now"

When they reached her place- she put Adam down in a chair and closed the door.

"Y-You can go first Adam..

She looked away from him. She had once dreamed of taking a shower of bath with Adam...in her mind it would be so..romantic...but this was reality. And Adam wasn't feeling well So...there would be no way he'd do something like that, and he probably wanted to get to his little sister as quick as he could. She sighed and gave him a fadded smile.

Adam sighed deeply as he sat down. He looked up at Meg at the suggestion. He gave her a very slight smile. "Do you want to help me get cleaned up?" he was mostly joking. But deep down he wanted to do something like that with the girl.

 

His cheeks turned crimson and he stood up. "I'm kidding, don't worry" he said quickly. "I'll, uh, try to be quick so you can get in" he went straight to the bathroom to get cleaned up. He hadn't actually expected himself to say that and now was horribly embarrassed that he hadn't stopped himself from saying that kind of thing.

Meg ears perked up at the offer. Was he reading her mind?! She stared at him shocked. She was at a loss for words until Adam admitted he was only teasing...joking with her. She tried to smile and laugh It off as she sat down on the floor and leaned on the wall as Adam went to go take a shower.

She covered her hands, hiding her blushing face.

s-stupid! O-of course He was joking! Stupid! Stupid!

She sighed feeling embarrassed herself.

Adam leaned against the wall and covered his face with his hands. it must be the blood loss... I'm acting stupid he thought to himself.

 

He got undressed and turned on the water. He really was feeling dizzy, but he really did want to get to see his sister as soon as possible.

 

After a minute he got into the shower, he stumbled at the slippery stone under his feet. Adam started to clean himself, he had to bite his lip to keep himself from making any noise at the feeling of water on his wound. He finally finished showering and shakily got out of the water. He reached for the towel, but his dizziness overcame him and he slipped on the stone floor crashing to the ground with a scream of pain.

 

He forced himself into a sitting position, only glad that he hadn't started bleeding again.

Meg was sitting down. Staring down at her blood stained hands . Lost in thought. A lot had happened.... there was so much beauty and yet...so Much.. blood outside the stone caves. Meg was startled when she heard a scream come from the bathroom. With out thinking she entered the bathroom with no warning, panicked that something bad happened to Adam.

"Adam!! Are you o-"

She broke off...Her face immediately turned pink and she screamed and covered her face.

"I'm sorry!!! I'm so sorry!!

She turned her back to him. She started talking really fast. Embarrassed.

"I- I didn't mean to! I heard you scream. I wasn't thinking! I thought. You... uh.. I'm sorry!! I -I didn't see anything! "

There was a lot of steam from the shower so the most she saw was the boys V-line. Her eyes didn't dare go any lower.

[Kotorichan]

Adam's face turned dark red when he noticed Meg. "Fuck! Sorry, I tripped" he managed to grab a towel to hide himself. "It's not your fault, I'm sorry he mumbled, looking away.

 

He stayed silent for a moment before suddenly starting to laugh. The sudden burst of laughter surprised even Adam, it seemed like forever since he had really laughed. "I just realized how hard I've been trying to impress you for the past few months... and now I'm laying on your bathroom floor completely naked" He sighed and shook his head as he finally stopped laughing "I guess all that effort was pretty pointless...

She broke off stunned by the boys sudden laugher. It seemed like forever since he had really laughed. It was such a nice...sound. She consciously glanced back at him. Seeing he was wearing a towel. Why was he laughing?

"I just realized how hard I've been trying to impress you for the past few months... and now I'm laying on your bathroom floor completely naked"[/Quote]

"Y-you tried to impress me?

He sighed and shook his head as he finally stopped laughing

"I guess all that effort was pretty pointless...

"Don't say that...I mean...I always liked you ever since we were kids. You didn't even need to impress me...I mean...I always could see you were special.

She blushed a little bit more before going out of the bathroom. Letting the other get his pace to dry off.

"You've really liked me that long?" Adam chuckled as the girl left. He slowly managed to get back to his feet and dried himself off. He got dressed and left the bathroom.

 

"okay, it's all yours..." his good mood disappeared when he noticed all the blood that was still on Meg. It was like he pulled back into a depressed shell. The man sat down on a chair and waited for the other to get cleaned up.

 

All the feeling of exhaustion that had seemed to have faded away had suddenly returned. Adam rested his head in his hands and closed his eyes to try to relax.

Meg smiled at Adam as he came out fully dressed.

"You don't have to wait for me...go ahead and check on your little sister. "

She disappeared into the bathroom and started the shower. She undressed and got in. The hot water running over her body...getting all the red blood off of her. She sighed. The hot water feeling amazing against her skin.

 

When She came out of the bathroom she was wearing a pink tank top and black leggings. Her hair tied back in a pony tail. She looked rather sexy~ The tight, clingy pants stuck to her skin...showing off her ass and curves.
