"I'm afraid so. We have to make up all of the things on the schedule that we missed while we were gone." Hatori responded with a frown, not exactly looking forward to the heap of work that was waiting for him. Their vacation had been nice, but now they would have to keep up their end of the agreement.

Niran pulled his knees to his chest and opened his eyes to look out the window. "why do I have to do all this stupid stuff? Why can't I just put out music?" he muttered, starting to revert back to his usual moody self. He didn't want to make up a bunch of work or do any kind of interview thing. He just wanted to go back home.

"There are high points and low points to every job." Hatori muttered, alright noticing that Niran was starting to return to his usual moody and irritable self. He said nothing else on the matter, simply focusing on getting them to their destination safely. It didn't take long for them to reach the production studio. The manager made sure that his professional air was back. "You don't have to perform until the very end, so you can relax in the dressing room until it's time."

Niran grumbled something rude before going to the dressing room. He was immediately flocked by makeup artists and people to help him into his outfit for the performance. After a few minutes they finished and left him alone. He flopped down on the couch and sighed.

Hatori immediately went off to insure that everything was in place for Niran's performance. He checked with the sound booth, lighting managers, producers, and the directors before finally being able to return to the dressing room. The manager gave a tired sigh, but was relieved to see that Niran was already dressed and prepped. "We have about twenty minutes until you go on. Rest up if you want." he muttered.

"what am I supposed to be singing?" Niran asked, slowly sitting up on the couch to look at his manager. "I'm assuming that it's already been decided for me, just like everything else in this job..." he seemed to be in an even worse mood than usual.

Hatori noticed his irritation, but now was not the time to get into one of their serious talks. "You're singing "Falling For You", to promote the new album. I've already checked in with the sound booth, so as soon as you go out, the assistants will give you your mic and you need to stand on the platform closest to the audience.

"of course they pick the most fucking cliche song I wrote... I shouldn't have even written that, it's so stupid." Niran lay face down on the couch. He didn't care that he was acting childish and being unnecessarily rude to his manager. He was just too pissed off.

Hatori sighed and ran his hand through his hair in irritation. He wasn't especially excited to be back to work, and Niran's complaining wasn't making the situation any better. "That's the song that the agency picked so you might as well accept it and give the fans a good performance." he frowned.

"what else do I have to do today? I probably have a bunch of stuff scheduled don't I?" Niran rolled over onto his side to look up at Hatori. "or can I just go home and wallow in self pity until tomorrow?" at this point he was just searching for things to be angry about.

"I already told you that this was the only thing that we have scheduled for today." Hatori added, his patience gone. "I know that you didn't want to leave home and that you didn't want to come back to work, but you're acting like a complete and utter brat. So can you grow the hell up, just for today?" he snapped.

Niran looked up at him with wide eyes, he hadn't expected the manager to snap so easily. His lower lip trembled and for a brief moment it looked like he was going to burst into tears, but the young star managed to push the feelings down and rolled over to face away from Hatori. "Fine...'' he snapped, his voice almost cracking in the middle of the word.

Hatori sighed when he saw the look on his face. He honestly hadn't meant to let his anger get the best of him, but the words had spilled out before he could stop them. Niran's wavering tone told him that it would be best for him to hurry and apologize, but suddenly another assistant peeked into the room and asked to see him. With another glance at Niran's back, Hatori frowned and went off to see what she needed. When he returned to the dressing room, he could tell that the blonde was upset with him. Was it too late to apologize? The manager decided to wait until later. "I have to run a few last minute errands on my own, so I'm going to drop you off at home first. I trust that you'll be able to handle yourself alone." he muttered. "You go on in five minutes, you should start getting into place."

Niran slowly sat up and nodded. He refused to look at the manager or even speak to him, it wasn't out of anger but more just that he didn't want to start crying so soon before a performance. Without another word he left the dressing room and went up to wait to go on stage.

From the silent treatment he was receiving, Hatori knew that he was going to have a hell of a time trying to get back on Niran's good side. He waited a few seconds to give the blonde some space before following behind him quietly. They could sort out their problems later tonight, it was time to work after all. And Hatori refused to let person issues affect their professional. When he got to the set, Niran was already waiting to get on stage. The lively host finished his last few sentences, then gave the cue for Niran's entrance and the slow intro to his ballad began.

Niran immediately stepped onto stage when he saw his cue, he was his usual smiling self when he cameras were on him. He started to sing perfectly to the music. Despite his outward appearance he felt like a mess on the inside. The young star felt like he was about to throw up, he was actually nervous for once. He wasn't nervous about performing, he was nervous about how things would end up with Hatori. He tried to focus on his performance but after a few seconds he noticed his hands shaking as his mind kept wandering to the manager.

Hatori watched the star carefully. This was his first performance in a matter of days and one of his last before the album would be released. This was important. He noticed Niran's shaking. What was wrong with him? He was never one to get nervous during a show. The manager caught his attention and silently mouthed for him to relax and keep going.

Niran glanced over at Hatori and for a split second he looked like he was going to burst into tears. He quickly managed to get a hold of himself and refocused on the song. His hands didn't stop shaking the entire time but otherwise it went fine. He got off stage as quickly as he could without seeming suspicious and leaned against the wall, trying to take deep breaths.

To anyone else the performance would have seemed flawless, but Hatori knew him well enough to know that something was wrong. He waited until the song had ended before immediately going to Niran's side. "What happened? Are you alright?" he asked quickly, making sure to keep his voice down lest someone overhear them. The last thing they needed was a rumor going around that Niran wasn't feeling well.

Niran quickly straightened up when he heard the manager's voice. He didn't want to admit that anything was wrong, especially since it was about Hatori. "I'm fine lets get going" he snapped, coming off a bit more aggressively than he had intended. He quickly walked toward his dressing room without even looking at the other.

Hatori immediately stepped back when the blonde snapped at him, a confused frown on his face. Niran definitely was not fine, so why was he acting like this? Was he still upset over earlier? Rolling his eyes at Niran's actions, he followed him silently. He made sure to bid Mino goodbye and thank the producers for the opportunity before leaving. The manager didn't speak again until they had reached the car. "I'll be dropping you off at your house now, I'll be back after I take care of some things."

Niran was still refusing to look at the man, he stared out the window with a frustrated frown. "I don't know why you can't just drop me off... I can take care of myself for just one night" he grumbled. The star barely knew what he was so upset about anymore, and he didn't want to try to figure it out.

Hatori hesitated as his words and glanced over at him, but he couldn't see his face. If Niran wanted to act inmature instead of talking about things, then he would oblige him. The past few hours had not been pleasant for either of them, and the manager did not have the patience to deal with Niran's attitude right now. "That's fine." he muttered flatly, starting up the car. He was silent the entire way to the blonde's home, not even sparing him a glance or goodbye when he stopped to let him out.

Niran jumped out of the car and grabbed his stuff without another word. He ran into his house and flopped down on the couch. "what the hell is wrong with me?" he muttered, covering his face with his hands. He didn't know why he couldn't just be honest with Hatori, it would make things so much easier.

As soon as Hatori drove away, he wished that he had at least said something to Niran. But he just didn't understand why he was so upset. He pushed those thoughts to the back of his mind, knowing that his work was not over for the day just yet. He still had to go back to the agency for a quick meeting to discuss Niran's upcoming promotions, and he also had to go talk to potential venue managers. When he arrived at the agency, Hatori turned his phone off so that it wouldn't ring during the meeting. He had a long night ahead of him, and he doubted that he would get home any time soon.
