[Kotorichan]

Niran had bowed his head and apologized along with Hatori, immediately falling back into his sweet public persona. He followed behind the woman, glancing around curiously at the school. It wasn't much different than the one he had graduated from less than two years ago. He suddenly looked up at Hatori with a frown, realizing he had forgotten to ask what exactly he was supposed to be doing.

[Remalade]

"Alright, so the student body president is already on stage. He will lead the event and pick the students that you'll interact with. Just play a few games with them and answer some questions and you'll be on your way. I know that you have a busy schedule, thank you so much for doing this." The principal smiled kindly. Hatori gave him an assuring nod as he held open the door that would lead to the stage.

[Kotorichan]

Niran took a deep breath to gather himself. He always felt nervous before doing this sort of thing, but he knew that once he was on stage all the anxiety would melt away. The star glanced at Hatori one more time, his eyes almost looked like he was pleading for the man to tell him that this wasn't necessary. But without anymore delay he stepped out onto the stage, his expression immediately turning into his usual bright smile.

[Remalade]

The crowd erupted in screams and cheers when Niran stepped onto the stage. A tall student in a school uniform stood at the podium with a microphone. He pushed a chair to the center of the stage for the star to sit in. "Calm down, everyone. Today we are lucky to be visited by a very special guest. Niran has agreed to take some pictures, play a few games, and even answer some questions. Let's give him a round of applause." he said with a smile, the students clapping and cheering in response.

[Kotorichan]

Niran smiled brightly and waved to the students as he sat down. He looked perfectly happy and relaxed on stage dispite how nervous he had clearly been a few moments ago. He lightly pushed his hair back put of his face and looked at the student on stage with an expectance smile. "What should I do first? I didn't really get any kind of briefing before I came" he laughed.

[Remalade]

The students laughed along with Niran, eagerly eating up any bit of attention they could. The class president waited until they'd settled down before speaking again. "How about we ask a few questions first. Any volunteers?"

 

As soon as he asked, the students immediately began raising their hands excitedly. A few were picked out of the crowd and asked to come to the side of the stage. The first student, a short girl with long hair, asked timidly, "Which of your songs is your favorite to sing?"

[Kotorichan]

Niran leaned back in his seat, appearing to be perfectly comfortable. "Hm... That's hard, I really like to sing all the songs that I've written since they're all really meaningful to me... But my favorite is probably 'Counting Perfection'" He blushed softly and brushed his hair back as if embarrassed to admit it. "It's inspired by my first crush and always brings back cute memories of my childhood" He gave a bright smile directly at the girl who asked. "If I had time I'd ask you what songs you like the best, but there's too many of you here" He laughed softly. "Maybe some other time"

[Remalade]

The girls in the crowd erupted in screams and squeals at the embarrased blush on Niran's face, and the girl on stage looked close to fainting. Backstage, Hatori shook his head with a quiet chuckle. If Niran hadn't become a singer, he definitely could have been an actor with the show he was putting on right now. These kids were absorbing every single thing he said.

 

"Niran-san....do you have any person that you are in love with right now?" the next girl asked, her eyes hopeful.

[Kotorichan]

Niran's eyes widened at the question, he immediately thought of Hatori and it took a huge amount of effort to stay calm. His expression returned to his usual cheerful and relaxed public persona in a matter of seconds. "No, I don't have anyone like that right now" He said with a soft laugh. "I always think it'll be best to wait on romance, I want to be able to give the person I love my full attention. Right now I just have way too many things going on, I'd never be able to spend time with her" The star sighed and looked away, a sad smile on his face. "I'm sure I'll find the perfect person once my life calms down a bit... Don't you?" He looked at the girl, making direct eye contact as if suggesting that she might end up being the one.

[Remalade]

Hatori gave a sigh of relief at the singer's response. Not only had he successfully denied any Miranda Starr speculations, but he'd also given all of his fans a little hope that they could be the one, a usual fanservice tactic.

 

The girl on stage had a face so red that she looked close to combusting, and the other students were fixing her with envious stares. She smiled brightly at Niran and fanned herself as if close to fainting as well.

 

Finally, the last student with a question was called on. "What made you want to become a singer?"

[Kotorichan]

"Well, I always liked singing and writing music... But I figured it would just be a hobby since it's hard to get into singing professionally without connections. But there was a big talent show thing that was put together by a record company and my sister convinced me to try singing at it. And well, they liked me so I started working for them" Niran smiled brightly. "I never actually thought I was good enough to be a professional."

[Remalade]

The roar of applause proved Niran's final words wrong. How had a star like Niran ever doubted his abilities? His countless album sales and awards said otherwise.

 

The three students bowed and went back to their seats, and the class president took over once again. "Alright, time for some pictures. I'll call up each class to take a picture with Niran, starting with Class 1-A." he instructed. Each class took turns coming up and filing around the blonde, then posing for the photo. The pictures would no doubt be all over the Internet in a matter of hours, and every celebrity blog and magazine would be talking about it. This would be great for Niran's image.

[Kotorichan]

Niran had to force himself to appear cheerful as the pictures were taken. In truth he really hated this part of his job, it felt so meaningless and made him feel like nothing more than an object or story for someone to share with all their friends. But he knew he couldn't show it and so made himself keep a convincing smile the entire time.

[Remalade]

No one else noticed the slight change in Niran's expression, but Hatori. He wondered why the blonde suddenly looked so uncomfortable. Fortunately, the rest of the event passed by quickly. Soon, the students were thanking Niran and going back to class. The class president bowed and thanked him as well, then led him backstage.

 

"Nice job out there, Niran. I believe this is all that we have planned today, so we can head home." Hatori said lightly, eyeing him carefully.

[Kotorichan]

"Really? That's all we have planned?" Niran kept up his cheerful act since they were still in public, anyone could be watching them. "That's actually good, I've been needing to work on my newest song. I don't want to lose my ideas" he laughed and pushed his hair out of his face, still behaving like he was on stage.

[Remalade]

Hatori was glad for Niran continuing to act so lively. Even letting his appearance falter for a moment could be a huge risk. The principal thanked them again for their visit, then lead them back to Hatori's car. The students could be seen clamoring at the windows for one last glimpse of Niran before he got in the car.

 

"Well, that seemed to go well. But halfway through, you looked a bit stressed. Don't worry, I'm sure that I'm the only one who noticed, but are you feeling alright?" he asked gently, starting the car and pulling away from the school.

[Kotorichan]

Niran kept smiling and waving at the people in the windows until they were well out of sight. As soon as they were safe from prying eyes he slumped down in his seat with a scowl. "I hate it when they take pictures... I'm just like a fucking zoo animal... I dont mind answering the questions but the moment they take those cameras out, I just want to leave..." He turned to look out the window. "Maybe I should go into acting... A lot of singers do that right? And I get so much practice..." He laughed dryly. "You're the only person I can actually be myself around"

[Remalade]

Hatori frowned at the dry laugh, knowing that he was far from joking. He hated when Niran was so cynical. It only meant that he was unhappy, which wasn't something the manager wanted to happen. Holding in a sigh, he simply shook his head. "Well, you don't have to worry about any of that now, you can go home and be yourself all you want." he added. It didn't take long for them to return to Niran's home, which held less reporters than before. Soon, they were safely inside, and the manager went to make himself a much needed cup of coffee.

[Kotorichan]

Niran didn't say another word on their trip back, he smiled cheerfully and waved for the paparazzi as he usually did. But as soon as he was inside his home the act fell apart. His expression went completely blank and he headed straight to his room, pull on his headphones and flopping down in bed to listen to one of his old favorite songs.

[Remalade]

Hatori noticed his immediate change in mood but didn't comment on it, instead letting the star have a bit of time to himself. He waited until he'd finished his coffee and checked their schedule before going up to Niran's room. He still said nothing, instead simply sliding into the bed beside him. He wrapped an arm loosely around his waist as a gesture of support, but didn't try to coax him into coming any closer.

Niran sighed and leaned against the man. He stared at the wall for a few minutes, just letting himself get lost in his music. After a little bit he paused his music and pulled the headphones off. "What time do you have to leave today?" He asked softly, he didn't want the manager to leave anytime soon but knew he didn't have a choice in the matter.

[Remalade]

Hatori smiled a bit when Niran leaned against him but still remained silent, not saying anything until he thought about the blonde's question. "I'm not sure. I might be getting called in to get an update on the status of your schedule so I can plan a few things, but that's all. I'll be here until I hear from them." he answered softly. The manager knew from Niran's tone that he wanted him to stay, and he would try his best to do so. He considered just ignoring the agency's call if it came.

[Kotorichan]

Niran frowned deeply at the manager's reply, he didn't like the idea that the agency could call at any moment and take Hatori away. "No..." He grumbled, climbing into the man's lap and resting his forehead against his shoulder. "If they call tell them I'm in a bad mood and you're worried that I'll run off if you leave me alone..."

[Remalade]

"Niran..." Hatori chuckled, shaking his head at his grumbling but making no moves to push him away. One hand grasped Niran's waist gently while the other carded through his hair. "Maybe we both will just ignore the agency for a few days. While we're at it, we might as well just quit our jobs and run off to a different country. One where no one knows us and we can get a cute house with hundreds of cats." he joked, hoping to cheer him up.

[Kotorichan]

"I wish we could so that..." Niran sighed and climbed back off the man. He pulled his shirt off with a sigh. "I'm gonna shower..." He walked to the bathroom, avoiding looking at Hatori. He didn't want to let the manager know just how much he wanted to do that, he wanted to just escape the constant stress of his job.
