Lover & Fighter ((Ryouta Basket & Pigeon))

[Kotorichan]

Ein's shoulders slumped as he the last of his hope slip away. "My apologies... I did not mean to cause a disturbance for you..." he bowed his head, trying to hold back tears of hopelessness. "Your son... Ayato, was it? He looks very similar to someone I lost... And that necklace..." he couldn't bring himself to look at the boy, it brought up too much pain. "But since he is your son it can't be him... I'm truly sorry for causing any problems for you." he lightly rubbed his eyes to brush away a few stray tears. For the first time in two years he had actually felt hopeful.

[Ryouta]

The old man`s eyes widened, Ryou was still looked down and he head bowed, when he had heard that, he felt like that his heart was going to jump out from his chest. Did he know him and that necklace? The old man looked seriously at him, it didn`t sound like that he was lying. "Ayato, please get the king and wash his face! Please do not apologize! You are a bit tired, let us talk about it after the costumers are gone! " Ryou didn`t know what his father was thinking but he agreed and took the other on his shoulder and gave him a gentle smile. "Please...this way!" He said in a kind voice and walked to his room and brought the water of the king! He didn`t really know what to say, he felt like that his mind was messed up.

[Kotorichan]

Ein looked around at Ryou's room, it all seemed so familiar and yet so different. He sat down on a chair and looked down at his hands. He didn't know why the old man wanted him to stay, it wasn't possible for this to be his Ryou if that man was the boy's father. "Thank you..." He murmured when the boy brought him water. He washed his face, still not able to look at the boy. "I... I'm sorry for causing problems..." He said again. "I don't mean to bring you trouble..." He closed his eyes, he felt so exhausted and hopeless. He didn't see any point in trying to keep going.

[Ryouta]

Ryou looked at the other and moved his hand in the air. "Not at all! You haven`t done anything wrong!" He didn`t know what to say afterward. He brought a chair closer to the other`sand sat down and looking at the pale face of his. He looked down at his own hands and then he took his necklace on his hand. He felt like that he finally found a person from his past but he didn`t know if he really knew him. He stood up and then managed another gentle smile, decided not to do anything wrong until his father tell him to. He returned back to work until it was break time. He and his father returned to his room.

[Kotorichan]

Ein looked up when he heard the two come back in the room. He slowly sat up straight. "Uh, I'm not sure why you wanted me to stay... If Ayato is your son then he's not who I thought he was... He must just have a similar necklace... I'm sorry for the confusion..." he looked down again, he was clearly in complete despair. "I've just... I've missed him so much" he shut his eyes to hold back his tears. "I'm sorry" he lowered his head and forced himself to take deep breathes, trying to push down the pain in his chest.

[Ryouta]

Ryou looked at the other sadly and then he looked down, he didn`t know how much pain he had but he knew that his own pain was more. He felt like that now the one who knew him was back, he didn`t know how to react since e couldn`t remember. "He is my son! I love him and I treasure him but he not a bloody one!" Ryou looked at his father, it was the first time that he was telling a person, it was supposed to be a secret but it looked like that it was time to let it all out. He and his father sat in front of the king, Ryou didn`t managed to look at the other even once afterward! "I will tell you the rest but please keep it a secret!"

[Kotorichan]

Ein looked up at the man. He felt a tiny glimmer of hope at his words. "yes, I swear I'll never tell anyone..." he chewed on his lip nervously. Could this mean that this really was Ryou? Even if his lover didn't remember him it would be enough for him to just be alive. He stared at the old man with eager eyes, silently begging for some kind of good news, anything to give him hope in this situation. His chest tightened in anticipation as he waited for the other to speak.

[Ryouta]

The old man sighed, Ryou actually didn`t want the other to know. He had never thought that in his past, he would be related to a king. "Two years ago...I found this boy at the abandoned beach of the country, nobody actually went there but me! I saw a boy collapsed on the sand, with a big wound on his temple, I fast understood that he had lost too many blood from that!" He looked at Ryou.." Ayato...please.." Ryou nodded and pushed away his hair from his temple, showing Ein the scar.

[Kotorichan]

Ein slowly stood up and walked over to Ryou. He gently touched the boy's cheek and examined his face. He carefully moved his hand to hold the pendant of the necklace and looked at it before pulling away. "Two years ago... My lover, Ryou, and I were out together... We were attacked and he was knocked over a cliff and into the ocean... We never found his body and I always thought that he was lost at sea." he raised his gaze to meet the boy's. "I gave him that necklace, and if you were found by the sea... you must be him..." he quickly looked away. "of course, I would never force you to come with me... it's enough to just know that you're still alive... I know that you don't remember me and so no longer have any feelings for me and if you're happy with your life now..." he trailed off.

[Ryouta]

Ryou looked at the other strangely and blinked. "Your lover..." Those words that he had heard, he didn`t know what to do, being a man`s lover and he was was the king of Eoth. He started shaking and looked down. He fist his hands and his tears started to fall, he had been holding it for a long time. He wanted to tell the things he had been always thinking of. "If that`s true...did you look for me? Or you were just sad of me being gone? Did you even think that just a little chance I would be alive...I was always crying alone in here, in my room. Know that they were people waiting for me, looking for me, that was why I decided to always keep the necklace with me but I was wrong...now you are here and you are marrying another person, that means that you didn`t even think of me if I was alive. I`m gone! That Ryou is already gone! You don`t wish to have me since you have already forgotten me." He said in a cracking voice and ran out of the jungle!

[Kotorichan]

"Wait!" Ein ran after the boy and managed to grab his arm, he pulled him into a tight hug. "I'm sorry... I'm so sorry... I didn't know where to look for you, I thought it was impossible for you to survive and I just... I was so devastated that I couldn't think, I wanted to die... I tried to end my own life many times because I couldn't see any kind of hope without you..." He held the boy tightly so he wouldn't escape. "I know you must be angry and confused... And I had no plans of remarrying, I merely have to meet the princess of this country so I don't come off as rude..." he buried his face in the boy's hair. "I love you, I still love you so much... But I don't want to force you to come with me... I would love to bring you back to Eoth but I just want you to be happy" he slowly managed to loosen his grip. "I should have looked for you, I'm sorry... I was such a fool..."

[Ryouta]

Ryou looked at the other as he hugged him, he started shaking and then grabbed the other shirt tightly. His warmth and body were familiar. He slowly pushed away and his tears started to fall. He didn`t know how to reply to the other. He wanted to know about his past and what he was and who he was but he just couldn`t leave his friends and the father that saved him from death and let him stay with him. He slowly pushed away and then looked away. "I just can`t trust you like this, I can`t trust anyone that comes one day and tell me that he knows me! I want to remember everything but I just can`t remember my own name or anything else! I can`t just give you an answer right away! If I was really your lover then please prove it, show me that you are my lover!" He said in a sad tome of voice and then put his tears away. He bowed. "I`m sorry, please go back to the bar, there is something that I should do!" He said and ran to a tree, started climbing from it, he was changed from two years ago.

[Kotorichan]

Ein felt his chest tighten at the boy's words. He wanted to go after him, to hold him and kiss him... But Ryou had clearly changed... He couldn't help but feel like it was his fault that this had happened. He slowly turned away and walked back to the bar. If Ryou was happy like this then he didn't want to interfere... Maybe it was better for the boy to live a simple life than to live with Ein... He walked back to Ryou's room to find the man who took him in. He looked at the old man for a moment before bowing deeply. "Thank you for telling me this... I can rest easy knowing that Ryou in safe..." He slowly straightened himself. "If there is anything that you need... Please just contact me... He means more to me than my own life" Ein took a deep breath. "I just beg you not to tell anyone of this, there are people who want Ryou dead and so please just keep up the story that he is your son"

[Ryouta]

The old man looked at the other and sighed. "So you are not the person that I was thinking..." He mumbled and looked away from the other. He paused a bit and looked back at the King with a serious expression. "King Ein, I don`t want to be rude but as I saw, I don`t think that you might love Ryou that much...You keep telling that but you gave up fast on him. There is a hope! He didn`t say that he didn`t want you, he said that he can`t trust you! Who know? Maybe he is just testing you and see if you would abandon him or not! You are just doing the thing that he might think that you`ve lied to him. He wanted to know about the people that he cared about in his former life so you should look for a solution and help his memories to return! He is a stubborn boy! He had never cried n front of me but...I know that he did a lot...I always saw him, sitting at the corner of his room, his tears falling, with no noise, just quietly on his own. I don`t want to see him suffer anymore..." He said as his tears gathered around his eyes and the old man looked down, thinking about the boy`s happiness!

[Kotorichan]

"I do love him!" Ein said quickly. "I love him so much, he means everything to me! I want him to be happy and I'm scared that I can't keep him safe... What if I take him back with me and something like this happens again? Isn't it better for him to find a normal life than to come back with me and have to face assassins sent by his own family? How dare you claim to know whether or not I love him! I-I-" he bit his lip, he wanted to say that he had killed his own father for the boy but he couldn't. "I just want him to be happy... And if he remembers his past then it would be so much harder for him... You have no idea how much I want to go after him, how much I wanted to go after him when he was lost... I wanted to drop everything in my life and search for him, but I'm a king... I couldn't let thousands of people suffer because I wanted to search for my lover who might not have survived... And now... He has a chance to live a new life, to have a quiet and happy existence... Who am I to try to stop that?"

[Ryouta]

The old man looked at the other and walked closer, gave him a gentle smile, placed his hand on his shoulder."You are his lover! I think that you can make him happy! He can`t go on like this, he told me that he would not start a relationship since he didn`t know if he had a lover before and he was scared to falling love since the thought that someday his memories will return and his feelings for his lover in the former life and he would hurt the woman and a child or children maybe that he loved. He didn`t want that, even if you want to, you can`t make him happy, he will feel always nervous and he might really try to kill himself so better do not hid the truth from him. Let him fight with the things through him and become strong! I`m sure he wants to know! If it was you who lost the memory, you would have probably wanted to know everything, right? About your lover and your past so now Ryou feels the same. He wants to know and he also wants you to show him you love and earn his trust. It might take years but you should not give up! It would be harder for him if he remembers everything one day and if he understood that you came and found him but let him be, he would probably be sad, don`t you think?"

[Kotorichan]

Ein hesitated for a moment before nodding. "Of course... Thank you..." he gave the old man a smile before running back outside. He looked around for a moment before walking into the forest. "Ryou? Ryou please let me talk to you!" he called out, looking for the boy. "I know you aren't sure if you want to believe me, but I want to help you remember! I love you, I'll stay here with you until you remember me! I'll give up all my duties as a king for you" It was true, he didn't want to be away from Ryou for another moment.

[Ryouta]

Ryou headrd a person calling somebody`s name. Oh, yes, that was his name! He wanted to ignore it first but after all those words, he felt like that he couldn`t let the other e like that. He stumped from the tree and came down walking to the king! "I`m here!" He said, looking down as he started looking around and saw a rabbit. He smiled and blushed out darkly. He ran to the rabbit and then moved his hand closer to it. The rabbit unexpectedly didn`t run away and jumped closer and on the other`s hands. Ryou started to play with it and pat it, having a lot of fun with the little thing!

[Kotorichan]

Ein watched him with a gentle smile, he took a step towards the boy but started so as not to scare the boy or the bunny. "I know that you don't believe that we were lovers... and I'm sorry that I couldn't find you sooner... But I want to make you remember, I love you so much and I'm so sorry for my mistakes... I can tell you everything about your past, I want you to know who you are..." he sighed softly. "I love you, I want you to remember who you are, and I'll do whatever it takes to do that..."

[Ryouta]

Ryou looked at the other. When Ein walked walker, the rabbited moved back. Ryou quit playing with him and stood in front of hi, at first, he was looking seriously but later a gentle smile appeared on his face and bowed his head. "Okay, I`m looking forward to it but now now! I don`t think that I want to listen to anything hard right now!" He walked to the bar and went back with a big bottle on his hands. "I want to fill this with water! Will you come wtih me?" He said, walking to the sea, looking at the king.

[Kotorichan]

"would you like me to carry that for you?" Ein offered when he saw the bottle. "I would absolutely love to walk with you" he smiled and slowly walked toward the sea with the boy. "it's so nice here... is it always so peaceful?" he asked, trying to make casual conversation. He had to be careful to hold himself back from trying to hold and touch the boy. He missed Ryou so much but he knew he had to take things slowly. He tried to be content with just seeing the other's face after so long.

[Ryouta]

Ryou nodded and blushed out brightly. "Yes, in here, sunset is always beautiful and then sea is usually calm, the people are kind and help each other!" He was really happy of living in there but more than that, even if is in his former life he was living in a dangerous place, he wanted to know, even if it was going to hard but painful! He didn`t want to escape. He wanted to know the facts and truths! "No..I almost took it to the sea everyday so I`m used to it and ou are the king so there is no way that I can accept that!" He ran to the beach and looked at the blue, after filling the bottle. H walked back of Ein.

[Kotorichan]

Ein wanted to protest and point out that Ryou was a prince, but he hadn't told the boy that yet and he didn't want to surprise him too much. "it sounds like a wonderful place... I'm glad that you were found by such kind people." he reach out and lightly touched the boy's cheek, looking at him with deep love in his eyes. He quickly pulled his hand away with a soft blush. "I'm sorry, I don't mean to make you uncomfortable... I'm just so happy that you're safe" he smiled sadly and looked away, trying to focus on something else.

[Ryouta]

Ryou looked at the other, not really feeling uncomfortable about what he had did. "Hehe~ Do not worry yourself!" He said and then walked back to the bar, putting the water next bottle to the cows. "You are so kind! I don`t know why but many people seems kind when they talk to me! They say that I am so innocent and everybody mistakes for me as a girl." He suddenly reminded something and then looked at him. "Oh! There is also somebody else that seems to be caring for me a lot! He was from another country like you but he sometimes visits me and brings me a lot of things. We`ve became good friends when he first came to bar, I always wonder why does he cares for me that much!" Ryou looked down. "He always tell me 'sometimes your past is not a good place to go so I better let you live here in happiness!' Though I don`t know what does that mean! Ah, his name is Souma!"

[Kotorichan]

Ein froze at the sound of the name. He took a deep breath and looked away. "So Souma knew... And yet he never told either of us..." he clenched his hands into fists and took a deep breath, trying to calm himself. "I'm such a fool... I... How could I have been so foolish?" He turned away to hide the fact that he was close to tears. "if he could have found you so easily... God, I should have given up my country to find you... why didn't I put you first?" he ran his hands through his hair in an attempt to calm himself.
