[Ryouta]

Rui tried to hold back his laugh.

"Just you are so..."

He noticed what he was saying. He couldn`t continue but he knew the Ren would probably ask him so he sighed and gave it in, spitted it out.

"Cute...when you blush!"

He clenched his eyes close for a while as he looked at the other. His face was really embarrassing! He was such a baka! Rui looked away face as he blushed a bit himself, started complaining.

"Baka! What are you shy about?"

He squeezed the other`cheek, tried to remove his embarrassment. He didn`t know why his heart was beating like that. It wasn`t something particular if two male hold each other, right? By the way, they weren`t doing anything strange so it was fine. Rui let the other go as he stood up, looking at the other.

"Cu-Cute!? That word for girl, not for me" although Ren said that his face was much red than before. "I-Its because you suddenly hug me... I...was.. surprised by that" he looked away with blushing face, rubbing his cheek that was squeezed by Rui. "Hanaka too... Your face is red too" he complaining pointing at Rui. "Why are you blushing like that?" this was an awkward situation for Ren, both of them were blushing.

Rui laughed a bit more as he heard him complain. He patted the other`s hair again and mess it up.

"Eh...But aren`t you a girl?"

He asked, wanted t tease him so badly. He smiled as he continued. "It`s a joke!"

He blushed darker when he said the he was red too and started messing with him, he tried to stop by by pushing his body away.

"It`s because of you, baka! You`re face is just too embarrassing! Turn around for a bit!!!!"

He said looking away.

"Why is that my fault?" Ren started complaining again, his face still blushing. "There is nothing wrong with my face. It's was your fault from the beginning anyway..." he continue "... suddenly hugging me like that. It's not common for 2 boys hugging like that, baka.." Ren turned around, walked to his clothes that laying on the ground, checked it if it already dry or not.

 

".. still wet.." he sighed. He sat down and slaped himself couple of times, calmed down himself.

[Ryouta]

Rui was pissed off, he yelled.

"Ha! Don`t think high of yourself!I never hugged you! I just wanted to warm you up! You are so self confidence! If you know it that it`s not common then you should not be shy about such a thing!!"

He sighed as he tried to calm himself down. He deep breathed as he stood up and picked his bag up. It was wrong to come with him anyway. He walked to the sea and he said in a calm voice.

"I`m going home!!!"

He jumped inside the sea as he swam down to the village without letting the other speak any longer.

"Wha-What is he mad for?" Ren was shocked when Rui suddenly yelled like that. He doesn't really understand why Rui was pissed off. It's not like Ren was thinking high of himself, but to him what Rui was doing before was a hug. And, how can you not feel embarrassed when someone suddenly hug you like that! Whatever you called what you doing before, its still a hug, baka..!! that what Ren thought. He started to pissed of when thinking about it.

 

"Sigh... It's started to getting more cold.." he decided to go home too, even though his clothes not completely dried yet. He put on his clothes, took his bag and started walking home.

[Ryouta]

Rui was really pissed off and he did something that he didn`t like. He repeated . 'I hate the surface and also its humans and I should not communicate with them again' He couldn`t accept it, he didn`t know why! It was strange and for the first time, he couldn`t hate a surface creature. He sighed and swam to the graveyard of the sea. He landed gently on the send as he walked closer and arrived inside from the gate. He looked around and prayed for every each of his villagers! He stopped in front of his mother`s grave . He started at it for a while as he sat down and closed his eyes. He prayed for his mother and smiled. "Mom...I came again! Sorry that I always bother you! I must disturb your sleep, right?" He said and paused a bit. "Mom...things are confused! I don`t know what to do any longer! I`m kinda tired of life! Nothing good happens...but I will try to be a good leader!! I promise!" He said as he said farewell to his mom as he slowly walked home.

Ren was walked home with his clothes still wet. Even though it was hot during the day, he still felt cold thanks to hia wet clothes. Before he got home, he stop by the convenience store and buy a couple of onigiri and a bottle of tea. That was his daily activity after school. As he came out from the store, Ren can't stop thinking about Rui. The sea's boy was make him curious about all about him. And today, he can see a little of many side that boy had. Though, today they had some unexpected event and somehow he made Rui mad. But, it was an interesting day for Ren. "I wonder why he suddenly pissed off like that" Ren mumbled to himself.

 

He recall what happened today and it made Ren blushing again when he remembered Rui was hugging him to warmth him up. Weird person... he smiled a bit without he realized it. At the time he realized he was smiled, Ren shakes his head to get rid of that thought. What am I thinking, smiling because some guy hugging me like that... he felt embarrassed as he walked home.

[Ryouta]

Rui walked inside his house. As usual, his father wasn`t home. He sighed as he took off his shoes and said in a very low voice. "I`m home!" He walked in as he saw his fish came to him. He smiled as he starred at it for a while, he held out his hand. He wondered if he could touch it or not! He signed at it to come closer. "Come here! I want to pat you!!" He said as he slowly stroked the pink fish`s head. He felt like it. He blushed brightly. "Good girl!" He passed by it as he walked to the kitchen and pulled out the fish food from the cabinet. He gave the little fish a bit of it as he walked to the freezer and choose a freeze fish for his lunch. He warmed it up in the microwave. He started eating his lunch in silence, looking around the big but quiet house. He didn`t feel like eat it all so he left the food and walked to his room.

 

He lay on the bed as he sighed. He picked his notes and books, started doing his homework but he didn`t feel like doing it now so he stopped as he buried his face on the pillow. He was all thinking about the other male like idiots. He clenched his eyes shut as he shook his head, tried to concentrate on his studies but he couldn`t. He slapped himself weakly. He decided what to do tomorrow, it was the only choice!

Ren reached an apartment. It was his home now, since he graduate from middle school. The apartment was old, but the rent was cheap. That's way Ren pick this place. Because, he just started rented it for few months he paid the rent with his allowance that his mom gave him.

 

Ren use the stair to go his apartment that located on 3rd floor. He walked inside his room, it wasn't a big room. It was just 1 bedroom and bathroom, but big enough for Ren alone. He put down his meals on the table and changed his clothes before catch a cold. After he changed, Ren eat his the onigiri he bought before. Ren finished his meals, then lay on the floor. At this times he got a free time for himself, Hmm... maybe I should get a part-time job. Since I always got free times like this... Yeah, and I can save more money to that way.. he thought while lay around the floor. After around 10 minutes he laying on the floor, thinking about a lots of thing that happen today. Most of the stuff he think was about the sea's boy, somehow can't take off his mind from Rui. With that though in his mind, Ren decide to take out the futon and go to sleep earlier than usual.

[Ryouta]

The next day, like the day before, Rui woke up early to make breakfast for his father. He actually didn`t see him in the day since he was always busy with the village work. He slowly called him to wake up after he ate his own breakfast. He got ready and took his bed, he wore his shoes and said goodbye to his head,, stroking his head with his finger like before. He swam out of the sea as he ran to the school. This time, he wasn`t late but he didn`t feel like spending time in school then. He was waiting for the other to come after he sat on his seat. He have something to discuss with him.

The next day, Ren was woke up much earlier this morning, he use the time to take a shower and ate his breakfast leisurely. At the time he go to school, there wasn't many people yet and the was not really hot yet. It actually felt nice. Maybe I should go to school more often at this time he though to himself, enjoying his walk. When he arrived at the class, he saw Rui already at his seat. "Morning~" Ren said a simple greeting at him, with a smile on his face as he passed Rui. Then he sat on his own seat.

The other finally had appeared when he sat on his seat, Rui stood up as he starred at the other for a while. He started speaking at loud to make it clear for him.

"Listen! I don`t want you to talk to me any longer!!!"

He paused a bit and continued!

"I just hate you! Do you understand?I don`t want you around myself anymore!"

He said as the teacher came in, everybody bowed and afterward Rui raised his hand.

"Uno! Sensei! Can I change my seat?"

He asked and the teacher surprised and agreed. He was moved to two seats forwarder. That was good since he could see the view again but he was a bit said. He didn`t want to say such things but he had no other choice.

"Hah?" Rui started speak a loud as soon as he sat down. Ren was surprised by what Rui said. Before he can talked back Rui was already moved 2 seat ahead. Ren was confused, he didn't know what was he done to made Rui said such a thing. He thought yesterday they had fun, though in the end Rui was pissed off for some reason.

 

Unnn... did I do something he hate? he thought to himself. Maybe I should ask whats wrong at lunch break the class started not long after that. Ren wasn't paying any attention to the lesson like usual, he just keep staring at Rui. Wondering what was wrong yesterday.

[Ryouta]

Rui tried to pay attention in the class. He could understand the main points but he was exact as usual. He was just keep thinking about the other person. He really wanted to see his face. Did he hurt him? Or did he not? He wanted to know if it was even important for him. Rui didn`t know why but he was feeling uneasy about telling him those kind of things. He wanted to apologize but his selfishness didn`t let him to.

 

The bell rang and everybody started running around and shouting after the teacher left. Rui didn`t feel like going outside and also, he had a lunch himself so he put his books inside his back and opened his obento, it was a simple sea meal. He clabbed his hands together.

"Idadakimasu!"

He started eating slowly.

When the bell rang, everyone started to gone out from class for lunch, but some staying on class included Rui. Today, he eating his lunch in class. Ren wasn't wasted his time to ate lunch. He immediately go to Rui's seat. He stood up in front of Rui "Hi~" Ren put his usual smiling face when greet Rui. "Ne, Hanaka did I doing something wrong yesterday?" his expression became a serious one, talked to the point. He really want to know why Rui suddenly decided to not talked with him anymore.

Rui was pissed off when the other appeared. He closed his bentou as he glared at the other. He packed his things and stood up, said in a louder voice than before. It could have made anybody to cry.

"Listen I said don`t get close to me any longer! I said before! I hate you! Want me to repeat myself? I HATE YOU! Now, if you excuse me..."

He yelled at him as he punched the desk of his and walked out of the class and walked to the yard to his sea friends. He tried to not thing about the other but he couldn`t. He was all thinking about him and he wasn`t wondering if it hurt him or not!

Ren's eyes widening when Rui yelled at him. It was the first time Ren saw Rui act like that, though it's not like Ren known Rui for a long time. But, he just find it strange after they spend time together yesterday. He even saw Rui smiles.

 

After such treatment Rui gave to him, the other boy leave the class. Usually, people will ignore someone who yelled at them like that. But, Rui just too stubborn to leave things just like that. He chased Rui out of class, but Rui was already gone somewhere. He asked on of the girl that was in the hallway, but she shakes her head; didn't know where Rui go. He clicked his tongue, and back to the class. Sigh... Why he said that? I must talk with him after school he thought so What did I do.. to make him hate me like that... he felt depressed when remember what Rui said to him. He spend his break in the class thinking about the other boy.

[Ryouta]

When the class started, Rui tried to not pay attention to the other but he couldn`t after all. He was all thinking about him and he couldn`t focus on what his sensei what saying and writing. He started to feel bad and guilty about what he had done. He couldn`t take it, being i the class so he raised up his hand as he stood up.

"Ano! Sensei! I am not feeling good so can I go out??"

Sensei walked closer as he placed his hand on his head to check him. Her eyes suddenly widened and she made a worried face.

"Are you okay? You weren`1t feeling good yesterday either! You do have a high fever...can you walk??"

He nodded and tried to smile.

"Yes! Can I go?"

"Sure!"

Rui left the classroom, the teacher looked at his friend!

"Can you please go with him please, Kasuga kun?"

Other`s started to talk loudly since they knew about the fight they had. Rui was heading ti the infirmary that he didn`t know where it was himself.

Ren was listening to the teacher while drawing something on his notebook, When suddenly he saw Rui stood up and asked permission for leaving the class. Ren was worried when know that the teacher said that the boy had a fever and let him go out of class. Ren just think about volunteer himself to accompany him but, before he had the chance raised his hand, the teacher called his name and asked him to escort him. "Yes, sensei" Ren was happy because with this he can finally alone with Rui. Finally, my chance to talk with him alone he thought as he chased Rui.

 

When he saw Rui, he run a little and then walked beside him. Rui's face was looked not really good, so he was worried. "Hanaka, are you okay? Let's go to the infirmary" he takes Rui hand without asking Rui first, led him to the infirmary.

[Ryouta]

Rui was trying to feel better first then he might have been able to find the way but it was useless. He couldn`t move at all now. He leaned his body to the wall of the hall and closed his eyes. He tried to breath normally but for not to faint on the ground, he started breathing by mouth, panting lightly. He closed his eyes for a while to concentrate. All this must have been a curse, right? It was from Ren for sure! He must have...hated him now! That was what he had thought! It was better for both of them now but he was wrong! He saw the other that walked closer and asked him if he was fine. He grabbed Rui`s hand and pulled him to the infirmary. He was shocked but he couldn`t do anything about it since he was feeling dizzy!

 

They arrived, Rui sat on the bed as he leaned his head to the wall, tried to cam himself down. He opened his eyes and starred at the other for a while. He was a bit pissed but curious that Ren was there for him. He looked away, felt a bit embarrassed about what he had said to him.

"Hey..sorry about the things I told you..."

At the time the arrived at the infirmary, there was no teacher. Rui was sat down on the bed, lean his head on the wall. He looked terrible. "Are you okay? I think they got some medicine for fever in here" Ren quickly looking around the cupboard, to find something for Rui fever. He was worried, now he know how bad Rui condition is. As he looking for the medicine, Rui suddenly apologize to him. Ren looked back, he looked at Rui, who now was blushed a little. Ren not sure if it because the fever or something else.

 

"Ah, sure. I think you don't really mean to said that, right?" Ren walked to Rui, bring the medicine he found and gave it to him. "But, if I really do something you didn't like yesterday, I'm sorry" he continue, smiled a little at Rui.

[Ryouta]

Rui blushed more after Ren asked when he said those things, he mean it or not, He looked away to think little. It was not too late. He could have regretted that he apologized and told him it was because of the fever so that everything would have been fine and they separated forever rest of the high school years. That was the right choice. Yes....at least for his sea village and for Ren`s surface city. No one would be neither banished nor denigrated but somehow...Rui could not accept that in his heart any longer. He found Ren and also other surface students kind and nice. He wished for something new that it seemed impossible.

 

Rui shook his head as he took the medicine and closed his eyes. After a few minutes he felt a bit better. He smiled at the other and pushed the other to the bed and sat him down on the bed next to him. He wanted to talk to him why did he said those things and also what he had in mind now.

"Do you have any idea why did I tell you that I love you??"

Ren was relieved when Rui looked a bit better and smiled at him. He just about to walked away, when suddenly Rui pushed him to the bed and make him sit beside him. "Uhh... what is it?" Ren looked at Rui, waiting he said something. Then, Rui was said that Ren never expeted.

 

"E-eh? Lo-love?" Ren was confused and surprised by what Rui said, he thought the other boy was hate him. That what Rui was said before.

Rui suddenly was shocked by what the other said. He recalled what he said himself. He blushed as he moved back a bit, moving his hands and shook his head in the air. Just why did he said that?? It wasn`t like he was thinking about a girl or romantic stuff so why??? He closed his eyes, tried to concentrate then he opened it as tried to fix the misunderstanding!!

"Sorry, I just said that wrong...I meant hate..."

He looked away fast. His heart was beating like idiots! What was wrong? He was just a mistake, right? Then why was Rui thinking about wired stuff. He didn`t know what to do.
