"Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" continues to prove that this rebooted franchise is able to compete with many of the 2014 films on multiple levels. This is helped by the fact that this film improved upon many of the elements of its 2011 predecessor, and that is not a compliment I can give to every film that continues a franchise.
