"I think that pink suits you quite well, my lord... maybe I'll allow her into your quarters more often~" There was a sly look in his eyes as he picked up the other and placed him in his bed. "Excuse me while I go get a wash-cloth, I'm sure you wouldn't enjoy that sticky goo on your face, now would you, my lord?~" And with that, he walked out of the room and headed down the hall to go get some cleaning supplies. After a few pages,Alex had fallen asleep,smiling in his sleep. He was so grateful that he had Matthew around to be there for him. He couldn't ask for anyone better... Months had passed,and Alex finally realized that the bond he had with Matthew was special... "Uh.. Matthew..?" Alex asked,as Alex was relaxing in a nice,perfect bath. "I need to tell you something.." Matthew had finally grown more into his figure, his face angled more correctly, his skin much paler due to the fact he mostly had to stay inside with his master. His amber eyes seemingly dulled over time, though his freckles were more noticeable than ever. I-I like you,i-in more than a friendly way.." he said,before sinking under the water in embarrassment. He really didn't want to get rejected,so at least he wouldn't hear it if he was under the water. Matthew sighed softly as he then said, "You know that even if I do return those feelings, that nothing can ever be made of it. I am just your butler, nothing more, nothing less. And it's not like you can marry a filthy peasant, my lord." His voice remained calm, though he did have a bit of sadness and hurt in his eyes. Alex said. "I have an idea.. The day of the wedding,I want you to bring a horse and carriage with you,with our bags in it,and we will run away to a cottage far away." whispered Alex,smiling. "I will start packing tomorrow,and you should too." he said,smirking. "I will take all my money out of my bank the day before, as well." said Alex. "I won't give up. "My my, and I haven't even said if I liked you or not, and you are coming up with all these ideas and speculations... what if I don't even like you that way? Or better yet, tell your parents?" chuckled the younger male before he said, "You're lucky, because I do feel that way for you as well. Though... that fairy-tale ending... I doubt will be possible for us. I'd probably be charged for high-treason by result of your parents finding us, and I'll most likely get executed, and you'll still have to marry Britney anyways." "Not if we marry in secret.." he said. "Plus,Britney loves seeing men in love. She will definitely try to help if I tell her the plan." said Alex,smiling. "I won't let my parents ruin this for me." He obviously had a lot of knots in his shoulders and back from working so much. His once smooth hands were now calloused from the labor around the house... all this, and the prince's parents still had little to no respect for him... I'm so sorry that I made you work here.." said Alex,looking sad as he let Matthew lay down and he began to massage him. Alex was a surprisingly good masseuse,and helped with many of his back's aches and pains. "Does that feel better?" he asked,also applying some moisturizer to Matthew's calloused hands. Alex smiled,and went off to go send a letter to Britney,to let her know of the upcoming events. Alex sealed the envelope and sent it to her from the mailman that came by,and awaited a response. And the other servants were also incredibly boring... and when then started talking, they never really stopped talking, which was the worst problem of it all. Alex had packed secretly,and the plan was going as,well... Planned. Alex packed 2 or 3 suitcases so far,to pack into the carriage. Alex was so excited to finally have the person he wanted to love. He packed a bit of clothes, and maybe a few childhood books. His family wouldn't really notice that he was gone anyways. Though, since Matthew had a lot more things to do, he didn't have much time to pack, he only really had time to clean and the sweep the floors, and occasionaly cook dinner. Alex wrote Britney letters all the time about their plan,and Britney also sent some. Their parents seemed to think that they were accepting the fact that they would have to like each other. He worked over-time, he worked harder and harder each day, and made sure that his work was accurate and precise. Although he knew what he was doing was wrong, especially in this era, he still didn't stop the progress towards their goal, wanting more than ever to marry Alexios. He walked up the aisle with Britney,and soon Britney turned away and yelled. "Not marrying him!" as she ran away,everyone gasping and running after her. The man who was to wed them,shrugged and Alex called Matthew over. They married happily,and this marriage could never be broken,or it would be a sin. When Britney finally returned,she smiled. "Go on,you two! Be happy." she said,as they ran to the carriage and rode away. They ventured deep into the woods,until they finally stopped at a small cottage so deep in the forest that it was slightly green with age. "I got people to build this for when I was going to live with my lover,and my parents don't know,and will never find us." Alex said,tears streaming down his cheeks as he hugged Matthew tight.
