John hiccuped a few times, his shoulders trembling slightly while he tried to stop crying. Feeling Aras hugging him made it a bit better... His arms instantly wrapped around the thin male as he burried his face into his shoulder, holding him tightly to himself. John barely ever yelled at people, and he'd never hit anyone. Ever. He just couldn't... He was too nice of a person to do that. Really, the raven was just a big softie. The man didn't know what to say now, even. He just held onto Aras tightly, as the tears slowly stopped rolling down his cheeks. Everytime he cried he had to hold something - be it a teddy, a pillow, his cat... Or a human. Even though his kitty always licked off his tears and made him happy again, humans could say things that made him stop feeling sad again.

Aras was a bit surprised when he wasn’t scolded or wasn’t hit by the other. Aras always suspected the worst from a situation… he wasn’t all that positive of a person when it came to the outcome of an argument. Inhaling deeply, he allowed the other to nestle his head into the crook of his neck, slowly rubbing the other’s back with his rather long, skinny fingers. He couldn’t really think of anything to do, so he decided to speak, even though he would probably screw up somewhere along the lines, “I’m sorry for everything, John…I hope this doesn’t affect our friendship…” He knew that is was going to. And he didn’t use the word “relationship”, because he doubted the other even wanted a relationship with him. “I’d be happy to try getting to know you better…I want to make this work too, y’know?”

John nodded a bit at what he heard, pulling away once he'd stopped crying. His glasses were dirtied now... The raven sniffled softly as he kept his arms around Aras and managed a small smile to appear on his face. "T-Trying never hurts!" He said, his voice a bit hoarse from his crying. The raven managed a soft smile before he pulled Aras to himself again, tightly holding him to his chest. "You should put on something... You'll get sick like this." He muttered out quietly as he slowly let go, still smiling. "So, I'll just... Go home, and..." He mumbled softly, his gaze falling down to his feet. "...Do you still want to move in with me?"

Aras blinked a few times as the other told him to go and put on a shirt… it caused a soft strawberry blush to climb onto his cheeks. Huffing softly, he felt…happy, because of the fact that the other cared if he was sick or not. Nodding to the other slowly, he murmured, “I’d um…like to move in with you.” Glancing away a bit as the other let go, he asking with a rather dark stained face, “Would you like to… um… stay over and watch a movie? Since we never got to eating those cookies and watching that movie like we were going to…” He saw the stuff that he had bought John on the floor, and blushed a darker color, “I hope you um…liked those gifts..”

John's face lit up with a shy smile as he leaned down to collect the gifts he got from Aras. "Wel... Y-You're free to do that anytime, then!" He said with a soft smile, still feeling nervous. The raven's cheeks flushed bright red at the suggestion at which he nodded, glancing away with a nervous expression. "O-Okay..." He muttered out a reply, shifting a bit on his big feet. "I-I loved the gifts!" He immediately answered, a bit louder than he'd intended to. His whole face was red by now as he held the teddy to himself. "I really like teddies... And caramel..." He mumbled softly as he stepped away. "Um... I-I'll go home and take the cookies, and... And I'll go back here then, okay?" The raven questioned, glancing up at Aras shyly.

“Okay…” Aras smiled in a chaste manner at the other, a bit of a nervous look in his eyes, the faintest strawberry color continuing to taint his tanned cheeks. “I’m glad that you enjoyed the gifts…I was trying to think of something that you liked and I figured that you liked caramel…” Aras said this, as his blush grew a darker color, obvious a bit embarrassed about the fact that he was talking out his process of getting the stuff for the other. As the other mentioned getting the cookies and then probably leaving, the lanky male nodded to the other, “My door will be unlocked for when you’re ready to come back over, okay?”

John let out a slightly nervous chuckle as he nodded, taking a small step back. "You figured right.." He muttered out softly as he smiled. The raven nodded lightly at what the other said next and quietly walked off to his apartment. The man slipped inside and let out a deep sigh. He actually made through it all... The raven went to put the candies away, the teddy on his bed and the flowers into a vase. He took the bowl of cookies and grabbed a few packs of gummies too before going back to Aras'. He opened the door a bit hesitantly and stepped inside, a soft, shy smile on his face. "Aras?"

When the other left, the German man instantly made his way off to his room and put on a nice, warm, cozy shirt. He was told he should wear ne so that he wouldn’t get sick, so he decided that it was best to just listen and put one on. With a rather small huff, the lean, lanky man made his way to the living room and plopped down on the couch. He was curious as to what movie the chubby man was going to want to watch. When he heard the door open, he smiled warmly and said, “Oi, you can come in John!” He was more so excited to see if he could rest his head in John’s lap and take a warm, cozy nap.

John smiled at the now-familiar voice of Aras and walked towards where it was coming from. The raven smiled a bit shyly at the German as he walked to him and quietly sat down. He put the cookies on the table and took out the gummies as well. "Um... I had some, so I took them." He muttered out with a light blush on his cheeks. The chubby male hoped that Aras wouldn't mind... The raven glanced around and let out a quiet breath. It really could be seen that Aras moved in not too long ago. There weren't too many decorations, unlike in John's apartment - he had a ton of small stuff placed everywhere. He even had the seven elephants in each room to get luck!

Aras smiled softly as John sat down. He appreciated the other’s usual tone that he had. He enjoyed the lightness, and the kind of fluidness of the other’s tone. Huffing, he looked at the cookies and the gummies before them and remarked, “I actually love gummies… it’s weird, but I do..” Aras had a secret love for sour gummy worms and bears. Though, the question did have to come up… “What movie do you want to watch? I have some movies in that box over there if you want to choose…” The German male sighed quietly. He hadn’t even put them all on a rack or anything yet.

John's expression seemed to warm up when he heard Aras' words. The raven smiled softly as he shook his head. "It's not weird at all!" He said though, his eyes warm and filled with happiness. "Um... I actually get a bit of discounts at the local candy store... I could buy you some gummies, if you'd like." The man offered nervously before standing up at the other's question again. "I'll go see~" He said with a light tone as he walked off to the box. The raven spent a bit of time in there before pulling out "Captain America". "Let's watch this... Okay?" He added with a shy smile as he held up the movie.

“That would be nice… I actually worked at the candy shop in town for about three months… and then I quit that job, moved here, and started working at the café.” Admitted Aras quietly before he muttered, “Really? You’d get me candy? That’s so sweet of you…” A small blush came to the young man’s cheeks as he smiled. He watched as John went over to the movie box and picked up “Captain America”. He liked that movie quite a bit, of course, it wasn’t his favorite movie, though he had enjoyed it enough to buy it. “Of course we can watch it, if that’s what you want to! That was a pretty nice movie…”

John felt his smile widening a bit as he nodded, shifting slightly on his feet. "I-I'm sure I can get you what you want in there." He said with a shy smile on his face as he walked to put on the movie. 'That's so sweet of you. He liked the way it sounded... The word sweet itself was really nice. The raven came back to the couch with a slightly nervous expression and sat down, shifting a bit closer to Aras. Could they still hug and all? He enjoyed holding the other on his lap, too... He liked feeling another person's warmth in general. When there weren't too many people, obviously...

“Thank you, John… that’s very nice of you, I’m flatted that you would do that for me.” Said Aras quietly as the other sat back down next to him. Offering him a small smile, he moved a bit closer and laid down, resting his head in the chubby man’s lap, his arms sprawled out on the couch, his legs laying the slightest bit over the edge of the couch, over the arm of it. As the coming attractions on the movie played, Aras glanced up at John and murmured, “You’re really comfy and warm…” He said this with a sense of happiness in his voice. His apartment was actually pretty chilly compared to John’s.

John smiled softly and shook his head lightly, a bit embarrassed. "I-It's nothing, honestly..." He trailed off in a warm voice as he turned his head to watch the movie. When Aras layed down, his head on the chubby man's lap, John couldn't help the soft blush on his cheeks. Hesitantly, he began stroking his hair gently, watching the movie quietly until he received a comment from Aras. "O-Oh.. It's just fat, so it's soft... I guess..." He muttered softly, trying not to give this too much attetion. Yes, for Aras he'd try. The raven slowly relaxed as they watched the movie, sometimes eating a cookie or a gummie.

Aras sighed quietly as the other stroked his hair, a small smile on his face as the other mentioned his fat, “You’re not fat, John… you’re just chubby… and I don’t mind it…I’d rather be cute like you instead of skin and bones like I already am.” Nuzzling his head lightly against the other’s leg, he muttered, “Don’t worry about what size you are, okay? You’re perfect to me…” And it was true, Aras found himself thinking. John was nice, caring, and loving… and his body produced warmth and a welcoming environment that Aras craved… Quietly, Aras grabbed one of the gummies and put it in his mouth. He knew that he needed to eat more often… he just didn’t know how to deal with eating a lot.

John's lips pursed the slightest bit when Aras talked. He didn't even say he was fat - he said that he had fat! The raven huffed quietly as he nodded, his fingers gently combing through the other's hair. Just a misunderstanding... Nothing wrong. The chubby male soon relaxed, watching the movie with clear amusement and relaxation. Aras' head on his lap felt weirdly comforting, to be honest. At some point, his hand travelled a bit down, drawing small circles on the other's neck when he glanced down. He thought he should say something about how thin Aras looked, but... He probably wasn't the person. So, he just stayed quiet, eating the cookies and gummies from time to time. "Hey, Aras... Can we go out tomorrow instead of today?" He offered quietly after a while.

"Well yeah, that's fine with me, honestly....it's not liike we can still do it today anyways..."Aras sighed quietly. He had eaten about two or three gummies throughout this whole movie… he didn’t feel all that hungry. Inhaling heavily, the German man nuzzled his head against the other’s leg. He had fallen asleep sometime during the middle of the movie, his lips slightly parted as he slept, his eyes closed gently. He looked like he was at peace, and that he was okay with this. His long, lanky fingers were resting on one of the chubby man’s kneecaps, his other arm laying across the other’s lap along with his head.

John smiled softly at the response he got and nodded quietly, actually finding himself relaxed thanks to this. He was glad they wouldn't go out anywhere today... He didn't want to go out into public today, to be honest. When the other fell asleep, John realized it was probably time for bed already. He turned off the movie and very gently picked Aras up into his arms. The other was very light anyway.. The raven carried him off to the bedroom and bit down on his lip. Should he get in too?.. Finally deciding on no, he left back into the living room. After finding himself a blanket, he layed down on the couch and let out a sigh. This felt a bit weird...

Aras didn’t really make any signs of waking up, his lips twitching the slightest bit however when the other lifted him up in his arms. Feeling the warmth of the other’s body, he snuggled closer towards John. The German man seemed rather peaceful when he slept, nearly like a kitten. As he was placed in his bed, the German found himself nuzzling his head into the pillow, his eyes opening momentarily before closing again, a small yawn being drawn from his lips before he went back to his sleep.

The next month was certainly full of changes to John. With Aras, help, he found himself more confident in various situations, finally getting not to conscious about his appearance as well. He made quite a few new friends, yet always preffered to stick with Aras. A smile was usually on his face, no matter what he was doing... Yet he still went to the same cafe to get his sweets and coffee, every day. Today, however, was even more special to him. John was going to suggest getting into an actual relationship with Aras. Up until now, they stayed as friends and that was it... But slowly, he was realizing there was really more he felt towards the German.

 

Today they were supposed to meet in the park, where John was already waiting. He had a picnic basket ready with his home-made snacks and drinks, as well as a blanket. He hoped they could spend the day happily, and then later... He would ask Aras out for sure.

As a month passed, Aras had also changed. Though the change was subtle, it was still there. He had gained a few pounds, putting a bit of meat on his bones. And it was mostly due to the fact that he found John’s cooking delicious and actually wanted to eat. The German had also finally decorated his apartment. He didn’t end up moving in with John in the end, given that he felt that he might make things awkward for him given the fact that they had gotten in a fight that night and moving in wasn’t that great of an idea until they got to know each other. Aras’ position in the café also changed, and he got a higher wage given the fact that he got a better job there. Aras was happy, and he was happy due to the fact that he helped John get more confidence and a better self-esteem. Despite the fact that they weren’t in a relationship and they were just friends, he still had a good time with the other as friends.

 

Today was the day that he was meeting in the park with John. He didn’t really know the importance of the day, but he was still going. Quietly, he made his way to the park. He was wearing a pair of jean, some black converse, and a white button-up shirt. When he spotted John, he made his way towards the area with a smile, waving at him. Sitting down once he got there, he said with a grin, “Hey, John.~”

John had prepared the blanket in a part of the park that usually didn't have that many people in. The raven was still a bit shy and sometimes had the nasty anxiety attacks, yet... It was far less than before. He was making progress. When Aras made way towards him, the raven smiled warmly and hugged him softly once he was there. "Hey..." He greeted as well before pulling back. The man began pulling out various snacks out of the basket while glancing up at the other. "How was your day?" He asked softly.

Aras smiled softly as the other hugged him. It was rather nice… despite the fact that they were just friends, there were times when Aras would climb into his lap and have him hold him or would fall asleep with his head in the other’s lap. Sighing softly, he watched as John pulled back and pulled out some snacks and food. Most of it looked good to eat… Aras was rather picky with his food, which was another reason why he didn’t eat a lot. Running a hand through his own, soft brown hair, the German male offered the chubby male a smile as he said, “My day was alright I suppose, the same thing down at the coffeeshop today… the usual girls sitting there and taking selfies and pictures of their drinks and cake, and then the guys who’d come in with their girlfriends and grab lunch… it’s all been good today, y’know?” Aras put a hand on the back of his neck as he glanced up at the sky. It was a rather warm day outside, though it was still enjoyable.

John couldn't hold in a soft chuckle while Aras talked. Really, seemed like his usual day in the cafe... "I'm glad." He said softly and smiled before holding up a sandwitch with salmon. "Wanna try this?" The raven asked somewhat excitedly. He adored fish, it was definitely the most delicious thing ever... His dark eyes were as soft as ever as he took a cookie into his hand and ate it quietly, a smile on his face. "Say... You have anything else planned for today?" The man finally asked, a bit of nervousness making its way to his mind. He wasn't all that super-confident yet. He was still a bit shy around people he didn't know, he got nervous sometimes, but certainly less than before. And all because of Aras...
