"No, I'm pretty sure that I'm trying to make you realize your self worth. I'm telling you the truth, I just don't think that you understand how truly amazing and talented you are." said Aras simply as he glanced at the other, trying to keep a calm yet firm tone to his voice, not wanting to sound like he was lying. No, he wasn't lying, he was just nervous about saying words that powerful to the man. Taking a small sip of the tea again, he waited for a reply.

John stared nervously at his cup, lightly shaking his head. "B-But I'm really not... I mean, I'm glad that you think that way, it makes me happy, but... I just don't think I'm all that great..." The raven said with a shy smile as he glanced up at Aras without stopping smiling. "Why would you think all of that about me, though? We've met yesterday..."

"Hm...well, you obviously can take care of plants well, and you're really nice, which is always a great trait. You just need to have a bit more self-confidence. It's that simple. I wish I could to help you get more self-confidence." said the German male with a small sigh as he glanced back up at the other. His smile was so sweet.... he couldn't help but smile back at him. "You're also really cute."

John let out a nervous chuckle at what Aras said. "But those really aren't anything special... As for my self-confidence... Well, I've never had it in the first place." He said softly before realizing the other complimented him on being... Cute. His whole face heated up suddenly as he looked away, frantically shaking his head. "I-I'm certainly not!" He argued with a red face.

"Not with that attitude!" exclaimed the German man with a soft huff before he stretched, "You really are cute. You just have to believe in that, and others will believe that too. As long as you have self-confidence, you can do anything you damn well please to." Running a hand through his hair with a soft sigh, "Really, you are a cutie, you should really believe it... wake up and open your eyes, nobody else is better than you. Anyone who critiques you isn't even worth your time."

John continued shaking his head, plainly refusing to believe Aras. "It's not that easy to just suddenly get self-confidence..." He said quietly, nervously gripping his cup. "I-I'm not cute at all. Please stop saying that." He said in a quiet, but firm voice. This wasn't the approach that would actually work on him... The raven sighed and looked down. He felt bad now.

"Fine, then what do I have to do to try and help you get self-confidence?" Aras just wanted the other to be happy and confident everywhere he went... he didn't want him to feel like he can't hold a proper conversation with anyone because they were judging him... he should do whatever he pleased to. Leaning back in the chair, leaving the tea unattended to, nearly forgetting about it, Aras looked at the other.

John shrugged quietly, not saying anything. A small part of him felt like he was being attacked. He couldn't get self-confidence, and he knew it. He just couldn't... The raven began drinking his tea in the crushing silence. How was someone like him supposed to get self-confidence? He was clumsy, awkward and worst of all, he was fat. He simply couldn't.

Aras sighed slightly as he got back onto his feet before quietly saying, "I'll see you another time. I'm sorry if I made you feel attacked. Thank you for your hospitality, really. Seeya." He huffed as he glared at his feet, and walking off towards the door, feeling as if the other wanted him to leave. Turning the doorknob, the older man left, and walked out of the apartment. He needed a cigarette to calm his frayed nerves.

John wasn't sure if he felt relieved or saddened when Aras left. He just drank his tea quietly before walking off to the living room to watch a movie. All that the other succeeded in doing was make him nervous and more self-conscious. He sat down on the sofa and wrapped himself into a blanket as he turned on the tv. At least he wouldn't be in complete silence like this...

Aras huffed in slight frustration as he went inside, pouring some food into his pets' bowls with a lazy sigh as he walked off to his bedroom, and getting changed...well, not really changed, he just stripped of his clothes and remained in his boxers. Walking back out, he stretched as he made his way towards his couch, sitting down with a small sigh, turning on the tv to see what was on. Really, that man needed to toughen up. His lack of confidence was the only really annoying thing about him.

John had begun chewing on his fingernails - a bad.habit he'd developed when something went wrong, or simply worse than it could've been. The raven rubbed his face and shook his head as he stood up and turned off the TV. He was wearing his LOTR shirt and simple sweatpants, like always after a shower. The man walked out of his own apartment towards Aras'. Gathering up his courage, he pressed the doorbell and stepped back. He didn't like it when people around him had negative emotions.

When Aras heard a loud ring go through his house, he huffed softly and got up, turning off the TV. "I'll be there in a moment!" He called towards the door before running off towards his bedroom to snatch a shirt, obviously having a little bit of dignity to cover himself. He walked back to the door, a long shirt on his body, draping to his knees, not wearing any pants. Opening the door, Aras had a surprised look on his face when he saw who it was. "Hi, John."

John waited silently in front of the door, staring at his slippers. He looked so weird like this... When the door opened, his eyes first fell onto the slim legs. His lips parted as he blushed slightly and immediately glanced up at his face. "U-Uhm... Hi..." He muttered uncertainly, begining to fiddle with his thumbs. "I'm sorry about before... Um.. I just don't want any bad feelings between us..." He talked a bit uncertainly, a soft blush on his cheeks.

Glancing at the other softly, Aras lifted one of his tanned hands and gently poked the other's cheek with one of his fingers. "Idiot, of course there's nothing bad between us. Why would I be mad, John?" The German man did sound rather intimidating when he spoke, even though he didn't mean to. It was mostly due to his thick, broad accent. Drawing his hand away, it fell back lazily at his side.

John blinked a few times as his cheek was poked, making him blush a bit brighter. He bit down on his lip slightly, shaking his head a bit. "I just... You seemed a bit mad back then... When you said I needed more confidence..." He talked uncertainly, but managed to look up into Aras' eyes. "I, um... I just always had problems with it, and... And I'm not sure what to do to get more confidence..." He trailed off, glancing away again.

Aras chuckled softly and rubbed the back of his neck softly, "I'm sorry if I seemed bad...it might just be my accent, I tend to get that a lot." Said the German man with a rather soft sigh, "I'm not mad I suppose that you don't have confidence... if you just felt comfortable being you, you'd have self-confidence... don't care what others think because the world is full of a bunch of stupid bitches who are jealous because you have something they don't."

John nibbled on his lip as he listened to the other, only nodding a little bit at first. Soon, he let out a soft sigh and glanced up at Aras again. "I can't just not think about what others think... I can't really be happy with myself either..." He let out a sad sigh as he stared at his slippers. "B-But that's probably because I don't... Don't really know how to deal with social situations... W-Without being awkward." He finally finished, twirling his thumbs around. Honestly, he just didn't know how to start the whole process.

"Hmm...how about this? How about you and I go out to eat tomorrow after we're both done with work? We can maybe do something like this once a week if you'd like, and I'll help ease you into public situations. I guess you can call it date." offered Aras lightly. He actually enjoyed the idea of dating this man... hugging him.... kissing those plump lips...learning more and more about him.

John listened carefully until the word 'date'. His cheeks- no, his whole face suddenly flushed red as he stared at the other with wide eyes and parted lips. "D-D-Date?..." He stuttered out, suddenly very self-conscious of every detail in his appearance. "B-But we just.. Just met, we c-can't just..." The raven stuttered, his words not making much sense even to himself. All he knew was that he was horribly embarrassed. "I-I mean... I don't mind going out to eat or... Or something... B-But it can't be a date..." He trailed off.

Aras blinked a few times and nodded his head softly, though didn't meet the other in the eyes. He felt rejected. The a small huff, he said, "Mmkay. It's not a date. We can still go out to eat, no big deal." He gave the other a sad smile. He was happy he got to spend time with the other.... he just hated the feeling of rejection, it hurt. "I should go inside and get some sleep. I'm sorry to keep you here with my idiotic blabbering. Sorry for being a jerk." Murmured Aras quietly as he turned around to go back in his apartment.

John could feel the other's sadness, and it slowly seeped into him as well. He bit down on his lip and, before Aras could return to his apartment, lightly grabbed onto his hand, his thick fingers holding the man's hand surprisingly softly. "Um... P-Please don't misunderstand..." He muttered softly, his cheeks red. "I-I would.. Would l-like... To.. To date you... B-But I don't think I-I'm really such a good person for you..." He trailed off with a bright blush. "But, uhm... W-We could try if you want.."

Aras paused for a moment when the other grabbed his hand. He felt...even more upset. "Please don't lie to me so I feel better...if you're not comfortable, that's understandable, it's fine...I'm fine with just being friends...it was stupid of me to ask in the first place..." Pulling his hand away softly, looking at the other, he muttered, "Just....think about it, okay? I don't want you to make a choice out of pity...think it over tonight...and we can talk about it tomorrow."

John flinched lightly at what Aras said next, watching sadly as the hand slipped out of his hold. "I didn't say it out of pity." He said, for once sounding firm. "There's nothing to think about... I-I mean, I just haven't ever been in a relationship... I don't want to screw up too badly..." He mumbled softly, glancing up at the other with red cheeks. "I... Uhm... I-I really would like to date you!" He finally said, his blush overtaking his whole face as he stared down at his slippers again.

Aras glanced at the other, a bit surprised when he heard the firmness in his voice. He was actually surprised that the other was arguing with him... he didn't really seem like the type of man to argue. "Okay." He said quietly, not really knowing what to really say at this point. There was a rather soft blush on his face as he turned around again, staring at his feet lightly before he stepped forward, and simply wrapped his arms around the other, pulling him close. Aras' arms were warm and welcoming, but a bit on the skinny side. "Can I...call you my boyfriend?"
