The annoying sound of the camera’s shutter still resounded in his ears as he spread himself out on the back seat of his manger’s car – his arm flung causally over his closed eyes, Kaoru tried to fight back the bile rising in his throat – the annoying echo of the photo-shoots camera still ringing in his ears making it hard to fight the nauseating smell clinging to his clothes. The busty bottle blond Kaoru had been shooting with today had definitely been wearing too much perfume – the flowery stuff having rubbed off on him with all the close positions the cameraman wanted them to try out.

“Tell me that was the last shoot for today,” Kaoru’s words came out as a slurred groan, the barley audible mutter the best he could muster as he fought off the sickness threating to take over his person.

A key twisting in the ignition and the slight laugh from the woman sitting behind the wheel was his only answer – the silent reply just as good as an answer in the affirmative. Letting another sluggish sigh leave his parted lips, Kaoru cursed his manger – hadn’t she ever heard the phrase “worked to death”? Dying at the age of 22 didn’t sound fun to Kaoru – not one bit.

Name: Nick Kenwood

Age: 23

Nick sighed to himself as he sat on the couch, watching TV while nomming on some of the delivery pizza he'd ordered. He spent most of his evenings like that - watching Netflix and eating some junk food... No wonder he was gaining weight. The blond sighed quietly to himself as he poked at his belly sticking out a bit out of his pants. He pushed up his glasses, huffing quietly before grabbing another piece of the pizza. Nevermind that. He was watching Supernatural, eating his favorite food, so... There was nothing to be concerned about. It didn't matter.

Still, he wanted to meet a certain someone. Somehow fishing out his phone out of his pocket, he went into his contact list, sighing quietly when he found the number he was searching for. Kaoru... The perfect model, who somehow ended up being his friend. He still couldn't understand how and why, but... He was pretty happy with it. The guy was fun to be around.

Hi, have some time to meet up today?

He sent out the text and leaned back against the couch. He doubted the other would really have the time, but he could at least try. The blond's lips parted as he stared at the screen, gasping out at something that happened. "No way...!" He said without even realizing it as he leaned closer, his eyes wide as he stared at what was happening.

Smile. That was the only warning his manager gave him as she opened the back door after stopping the car – the thirty minute drive having messed up his hair and made him more than a little tired – though seeing all the video cameras and paparazzi lining his path to the studio made Kaoru snap awake, a hand running through his hair to smooth out the wild tresses played off as pose, a smirk spreading across his lips and one eye closing as he winked at the cameras probably feeding everything live to some TV channel.

“Is it true?!” One overeager cameraman yelled out as Kaoru tried to pass through the fray. “Is it true that you’ll be staring in a drama soon?”

“You’re moving to acting?!”

“Does that mean you’ll stop acting, Kaoru-sama?”

“What drama are you doing?”

“Is it true you and Soseki Miya are dating?!”

Kaoru left the deflecting of the reporter’s questions to his manager as he pushed through the crowd, his female fans mixed in with the reporters all getting thrown a smile as he passed them – the door seeming miles away as he trudged through the fray.

“I love you, Kaoru-sama!”

Opening his mouth to answer the lovely voice, a vibration in his pocket made Kaoru's voice stall, a hand slipping into his pocket to fish out his phone – the crowd around him being ignored as he saw the name attached to the new text. Nick Kenwood. Kaoru’s smile took on a more tender nature when he saw the name. Ignoring his manager’s urging to move quicker and just get in the fucking building already, Kaoru clicked on the message and read it – his smile growing wider as he typed a quick reply;

Hey! Yeah, I wouldn’t mind meeting up later – in fact I’d love to. Today’s actually been pretty calm, so, it’s perfect that you choose today. I should be finished soon so I’ll text you after I’m done and we can meet up then, okay? ヽ(^。^)ノ

The model was able to click send before his frowning manager snatched the phone from his hands, and pulled him hurriedly into the building – though even if the rough treatment would’ve usually made him pissed, it had no effect on Kaoru today – he was going to be able to see his favorite friend later after all.

Nick nearly flinched when his phone vibrated. Ahh, he was so into the show! The blond didn't tear his eyes off the screen as he grabbed his phone, his jaw dropping at some kind of a plot twist. Finally pressing a pause, he turned on his phone and his mood brightened up instantly at the reply he got. Ah, so Kaoru was working after all, huh? Well, no wonder. It was getting dark by now, so he was probably somewhere... With a lot of fans... Having fun... The man groaned out softly as he pressed his head against the pillow. Sometimes he caught himself getting jealous about it - like right now.

Yeah, sure. Thanks! Can't wait already~

Nick typed in a quick reply before tossing his phone away and focusing back on the screen. He hoped the other would just come over or something. He honestly hated going outside for anything that wasn't neccessary - like buying things, going to work or, sometimes, sadly, funeral or something like that. The man huffed quietly to himself as the episode ended, leaving him confused and slightly upset. This was the end... And now he had to wait a few months to get another season. Nonsense. He wanted it now!

Standing up, Nick pulled his shirt down and began cleaning up. If Kaoru did come over, he didn't want to let him see a messy apartment... Thinking about that, did he make his bed today's morning? The blond blinked and, after tossing out the empty pizza box, walked to his bedroom. Ah, he did... All nice and comfy. The man glanced down at his clothing and groaned out quietly. Shit, he dropped a bit of the pizza on his shirt! With a small pout, the man began taking off his shirt and quickly pulled on a loose hoodie that hid his fat. He hated his body sometimes, but he was too lazy to do anything about it... Besides, for now it wasn't too bad.

“Alright. That’s a wrap. Good job everyone!”

By the time the photo-shoot had finally ended Kaoru was too exhausted to be mad about how long the shoot had dragged on. Sinking into the folding chair with his name engraved on the back, Kaoru pulled out his phone fully intending to text a certain someone when a shadow suddenly appearing before him had the man looking up to see who was standing before him.

“You were so amazing today, Kaoru-san, being able to work with you was more than just incredible – it was like the best thing to ever happen to me.” Ah, model A, Kaoru thought idly, with model B and C standing behind her… Smiling up at the small crowd surrounding him, Kaoru seemed to forget about the phone in his hand, giving his full attention to the fidgeting women before him. “You flatter me; yet, likewise being able to work with such beautiful women has made my dull day gravely better.” There was a small giggle from each of the women before the main one gathered enough control to speak again;

“Ah, uh, i-if you want: you don’t have to stop admiring us yet… In fact, maybe you could admire a little more than just our faces.” The implication was clear, and God did everything in Kaoru want to accept the offer, but then flashes of blonde hair and icy blue eyes covered by a black frame crossed his mind. Pale skin and furrowed eyebrows, the face of that person invaded his every thought – a cozy room, a TV, and a box of pizza that was what Kaoru wanted not drinks and a drunken fourway. He wanted to laugh and smile freely, pig out, and fall asleep on the comfiest lap he had ever rested his head on – he wanted to see Nick.

Giving the women before him an apologetic smile, Kaoru spoke remorsefully. “If only I could, I would love to take you beauties up on your wonderful offer, but sadly I’ve made priory plans. Rain-check?” At first the women looked appalled that he would dare turn them down, but after hearing the chance of another meeting model A practically purred a reply;

“Anytime.” Making sure to catch a glimpse of the swaying asses as the models walked away Kaoru watched them leave for a second before snapping out of it and quickly writing a text to Nick and hitting send.

Ugh, finally I’m finished (>_

Nick was busying himself with cleaning up the apartament while waiting for Kaoru's reply. Did he have any popcorns left? He should go buy some, while he still had time... With this thought in mind, the blond straightened out and put on a small smile. It was a short trip to the shop - he could buy some drinks and snacks and... Wait, didn't he use up all of his toilet paper earlier today? Nick immediately rushed off to check if he did - yep, all gone. The blue-eyed male let out a quiet sigh as he scratched his head. Let's see, what else did he need?...

Finally deciding to just make a list, the blond walked out of his house with a beanie on his head. He liked caps and hats of all kinds - it was rare for him to walk out without something on his head. When he felt his phone vibrate, the man sighed out quietly and took out his phone while locking the door. So, Kaoru was finished... Maybe they could just meet up in the shop.

I'm going to the shop to buy something, so maybe we can meet up there? You know, that small shop next to my house.

Nick wrote this quickly and tossed his phone back into his pocket. However, he soon took it back out to plug in his earphones and turn on some music... Today he felt like listening to Green Day, and he didn't know why. Nick simply walked off to the shop, now just thinking about all of the things he had to buy and how he had to hurry. He hated making people wait and he hated waiting.

As he made way to the shop, Nick, knowing there was no one around, began humming one of the songs playing. Truly, he was a very simple person with a slightly nerdy behavior sometimes... He still wondered why in the world would someone like Kaoru want to be friends with him.

Kaoru was once again reclining on the interior of his manager’s car when his phone vibrating snapped him from the semi-unconscious state he had been lulled into by the gently sway of the car as it speeded down the mostly empty streets to his penthouse. Fishing the humming devise out of his pocket Kaoru weighed his options – the plan had been for his manager to drop him off at home, maybe catch a five second nap while waiting for Nick to reply, grab one of the keys to a car in his prized garage filled with mostly imported cars from places like Germany and Italy, and then drive to wherever it was Nick wanted to meet, but now….

Leaning forward a groan passing through his lips as he moved his aching body to quickly – Kaoru gave directions to the woman in the driver seat to drive to the shop Nick had mention in his text. His want to see the other quickly overriding his thoughts about how he would leave the other’s house tomorrow for work if he didn’t arrive in one of his cars – there was always the option of calling the same woman who was smirking at him through the rearview mirror to pick him up, but she was his manager not his chauffeur. Plus, walking was a good way to tone his already muscular body.

Happy with the plan of his, Kaoru once again relaxed into the backseat of the car that was heading in a very different direction now – a direction Kaoru was more than happy to be heading towards. The thought of replying to the other’s message passed his mind but the want to surprise the other overruled the logical idea. Heh, I wonder how I should surprised him…

Nick's humming quieted down the moment he entered the shop. Now, knowing him, he woud spend a ton of time deciding the simplest things. Like, for example, which brand of toilet paper to buy. Or what kind of popcorn did he want. The blond took a basket to place the things he'd buy and walked off to see what he needed. At first, he stopped in the cleaning section and spent at least five minutes to pick the best one, in his opinion.

A few times he checked for Kaoru's reply, and each time he felt a bit disappointed. He himself always made sure to reply, even if just a simple 'OK'. So, when his phone simply continued playing the Green Day songs and didn't notice him of a new message, he began feeling the slightest bit irritated. It wasn't that awfully hard to write in two letter and send out the message...

So, the blond simply continued his quiet shopping. He ended up with two bottles of coke, a pack of toilet paper rolls, three packs of popcorn - one with cheese, one with salt and the last one with caramel - some gummies, a big pack of chips and some milk. He supposed this would be enough for the evening... He'd probably have to give Kaoru a massage anyway, so it would take up some time. He always insisted on giving the model one to relax him..

  • 2 weeks later...

When the car slowed to a halt Kaoru was drifting among a state of consciousness and unconsciousness that made the decelerating of the car seem more like it was a part of a dream then of reality, but the threat to book him solid with no breaks in-between for the next three years if he didn’t get the hell out of her car now snapped the model awake. Dragging himself up from the comfy seats he was sprawled across, Kaoru stuck his head between the driver’s and passenger’s seats and smiled shyly at the glasses wearing women sitting stiffly in the driver’s side.

“You don’t mean that do you, Mau-can?” The women simply pushed her glasses, which had lowered some, back up the bridge of her nose and scoffed. Taking the hint, Kaoru scrambled to open the door in the dark and threw jumbled words over his shoulder as he grasped the door’s handle and fled the car;

“Understood, I’ll just get out of your hair and leave you to it then – have a nice night, Mau-chan.” There was no reply from the women as he slammed the door shut behind him just the purr of the engine as it started back up, and the sight of the slick black car driving off into the night without a second’s waste. Rubbing his hands against his bare arms, Kaoru regretted the choice of leaving his jacket beyond at the studio in his rush to see Nick – turning away from the curb that Mau-chan had dropped him off at Kaoru walked hurriedly to the store’s entrance and hoped with everything he had that the air-conditioner wasn’t on, and that Nick wouldn’t mind wanting for him to buy a new jacket before they left to his apartment.

Nick didn't realize when did he began humming again. He was alone in the candy section, looking through various kinds of candies, trying to pick something out. He finally decided on a pack of gummy bears and some marshmallows, in case they would light up the fireplace - it was always fun to roast them, even at home. He did that as a child and he did that now. They were just so good!

When he was done picking the things to buy, the blond checked his phone for one last time and ended up disappointed again. Kaoru wasn't replying... When the man had everything in the bags, he turned to walk out - and saw the model he was waiting for... With only a shirt.

"Idiot." Nick said with a roll of his eyes as he walked towards his friend with the bag in his hands. He offered the other a warm smile as he raised a brow. "C'mon, did you over-work so hard that your brain fried and you forgot to put on a jacket? It's probably freezing for you!" The blond had begun to nag slightly - he could be like a worrying mother at times. "Come on, let's go home quickly then." He said with a wide smile as he pushed up his glasses.

Nick’s smile did more to warm him up then the heat pulsing through the vents in the warm store ever could, the other’s nagging also making the iciness that tented to grip his heart when he was working ease some. Nick’s nagging was always something Kaoru loved; it showed that he had someone who truly worried about him instead of just pretend to worry to get close to him for his fame and money.

Letting his own gentle smile take over his face, Kaoru spoke freely like he always did when he was around the other;

“Heh, I guess thinking about seeing you turns me into an Idiot, Nick.” Rubbing the back of his head sheepishly, Kaoru let the small smile on his face brighten into a full out grin. “Since it was when I was hurrying to come here that I forgot to grab my jacket.”

Nick seemed the slightest bit confused when the other began talking - what did he mean exactly? Yet, when Kaoru continued, the blond could feel his cheeks heating up. That... Was totally unfair. "Shut up." He mumbled out with his usual pout when he heard something embarrassing like this. How was Kaoru not embarrassed to say that?

The male poked lightly at the other's chest and huffed. "I'll lend you my sweater when we get home, kay? I actually got some marhsmallows, so we can just light the fireplace and watch a movie or something..." He trailed off, already walking past Kaoru, towards the exit. The blond glanced back at the model and let out a wide smile before grabbing his hand to pull him along. "Come on, the best I can give you right now is my beanie."

As he said that, he motioned to the said object on his head and smiled widely. "But I guess it's too cheap for you, huh, mister model?" He teased with a wide, happy grin on his face. Nick was always like this - teasing Kaoru about modelling, even though he knew he could be simple as well.. If he couldn't, they wouldn't be like this right now.

Yummy, the thought of roasting marshmallows by the fire sounded especially lovely to the cold man. Letting the other pull him along, Kaoru forgot about wanting to buy a new jacket and just basked in the warmth from Nick’s hand, his smile taking on a playful note as he listen to Nick talk. Watching the other get so flustered over his words was something Kaoru loved about being with Nick, no one responded quite as nicely to him as his blonde friend.

“Nonsense, my lovely Nick, I love everything you give me; even if it is just some cheap beanie.” Following his playful words, Kaoru swiftly took the beanie off the other’s head and slipped onto his own; making sure it covered his pink tinted ears – a happy sigh leaving his lips as he gained something to keep the chilly night breeze from freezing the tips of his ears anymore. “Thanks, love.”

Nick huffed in slight annoyance at the other's words and puffed out his cheeks. "Hey, I like that beanie!" He whined as he let go off his friend's hand and stuffed it into his pocket instead, seeing as the other one was busied with carrying the bag... Which he nearly dropped at how the model called him. "Shut up already, you dumbass!" The blond huffed out and looked away with his cheeks rosy. "Stupid..." He mumbled out again. He didn't really mean any of that - he just couldn't possibly accept that kind of a thing.

As they walked home, Nick glanced up into the sky with a soft sigh. "You really have to take care of yourself more, you know..." He muttered out quietly, his voice serious for once. "Alright. We get home, you go take a hot shower, I lend you some actually warm clothes and light up the fire, we make some poporn and marshmallows and watch the movie. Sounds good?" He asked with a grin just as they reached home. The blond hummed to himself as he unlocked the door and let Kaoru walk in first, a grin on his face.

Letting about a happy laugh, Kaoru followed the other inside. “You take such good care of me, Nick. Just like a wife.” Not wanting to be around for the reaction to his own words, as soon as they were inside Nick’s apartment Kaoru keep walking without out pause wanting to be far enough away from the other to see how he would react without being in range for anything violent to happen. Though…

Even if he had been joking when he called Nick a good wife – he didn’t think spending the rest of his life with the blonde would be so bad. He trusted Nick more then everyone besides Mau-chan, the blonde also had a way of cheering him up no matter how upset he was, and the way Nick always fussed over him also made Kaoru think being bound to the blonde until he died wouldn’t be say bad. “In fact, I wouldn’t mind if you wanted to get married.”

Nick felt as if everything except for his cheeks suddenly froze. His face burned up in embarrassment as he watched Kaoru go, unable to say anything for a moment, until... "You shitty dumbass!" He yelled after him with a red face, slamming the door after himself. If possible, he felt even more embarrassed at what he heard next. "Shut up already!!" He yelled out, his glasses sliding down a bit.

With an angry huff, the blond walked off to the kitchen and began taking out everything from the bags with a pout on his face. He left the popcorn and marshmallows, then took out a bottle of coke from the fride and... Put it back in. Instead, he boiled up the water and walked off to his room. He got a warm sweater and walked to the bathroom, knocking lightly on the door. "I'm gonna leave a sweater outside here. Take your time then..." He said and placed the sweater on the ground, walking to the living room to light up the fireplace. Kaoru's words began repeating in his mind as he began the work and, of course, being himself, the clumsy guy, he managed to burn his finger. The blond let out a soft yelp and fell back on his ass, sticking the finger into his mouth with a whimper. Why was he that damn clumsy?!

Kaoru let out and unhindered chuckle as he heard the other curse him from behind the bathroom door – his cheeks starting to hurt from the grin spread across his face. How can someone be so – so fucking cute! Letting another laugh slip through his lips, Kaoru gripped the hem of his shirt and pulled his hands over his head, effectively shrugging off the thin martial. Letting the shirt drop to the floor, Kaoru moved his hands to his zipper, fighting down a shiver as the cold air assaulted his bare chest as he worked the silver zipper slowly down.

Though, while he was tugging the unbuttoned jeans down his legs he heard a yelp from the other side of the door and he promptly froze. His mind numbing as registered just who that pained sound belonged to – Nick. Shakily pulling up his pants without a care to bottom them, Kaoru flung open the bathroom door and rushed out – his mind only thinking of Nick as he rushed into the kitchen; sure that was where the yelp had come from.

“Nick?! What’s wrong? Are you okay?! Nick!”

Nick winced softly to himself, holding the burnt finger in his mouth. He was smart enough to get the idea to go to the kitchen to cool the finger when he heard his friend panicking... "I'm fine, just-" He was very effectively shut up when Kaoru barged into the kitchen shirtless. The blond just wasn't able to stop himself from staring... His eyes slowly dragged up and down the other's chest as cold water ran on his body and his lips were trying to make out some word, yet fruitlessly.

When he finally snapped out of it, he hurriedly looked away with his face red. "...You'll get sick like this, go and shower already... Dumbass." He mumbled softly before pulling his finger out. "I just burnt my finger, nothing serious." He mumbled, feeling as embarrassed as one could be. He stared away, nervously nibbling on his lip. "...Can you go and finish up already? Y-You'll seriously get... Cold..." He made the mistake of looking up at his friend again, which left him in awe.

Kaoru felt pure relief pour over him when he heard Nick say it was just a burn. H-he’s fine. Letting out a happy sigh, Kaoru ignored the other telling him to go back to the shower and strode steadily over to the blonde, his eyes zeroed in on Nick’s burnt finger.

Taking Nick’s wounded hand gingerly in his own, Kaoru raised it so it was on level with his parted lips; “Be more carefully you dummy,” giving Nick his best reproachful glare, Kaoru proceeded to place a soft kiss to the burnt finger. “You scared me half to death just now. I can’t stand the thought of you being hurt.”

Nick didn't realize his legs were unconsciously bringing him backwards until his back hit the fridge. He was feeling way more than nervous by now. His eyes were wide, his whole face red and a completely unhuman sound of embarrassment left his mouth when his burnt finger was kissed. By his crush. Gods, just how did this end up that way?

"...Go and finish your shower already..." He murmured quietly as he looked down, his heart beating so fast it seemed it would just jump out of his chest any moment. The blond looked almost scared - well, for something more to happen. That obviously wouldn't go that way, but... Hey, he always was a dreamer. Then again, why would a perfect model like Kaoru go for a chubby pizza-eating guy like himself? That was pretty much impossible.

Kaoru felt his chest ach as watched the blonde backing away from him, the pain in his heart only spreading as he took in Nick’s panicky face. Just great, Kaoru – you’ve scared him. Biting his lip to keep from snapping at the sarcastic voice in his head, Kaoru gave the blonde a small smile, trying to ignore the feelings of self-loathing and grief flowing through him.

Just because he had a little crush on the nagging, introverted, pizza-loving, adorable, amazing, sweet blonde and got a little carried away and gotten happy at the brief physical contact with the male that was usually as guarded as the pentagon didn’t mean he should’ve expected the other to be as thrilled as him with his little stunt. Running a wobbly hand through his messy hair, Kaoru let out a morose laugh and tried to keep the gloom out of his voice as he addressed the other;

“Ah, yeah – I’ll just go and…do that.” Quickly turning on his heels, Kaoru was prepared to jet from the kitchen but let one last sentence fall quietly from his lips before he fled, “Sorry, I got carried away – I…don’t be – I won’t do it again…” Flashing Nick another muted smile, Kaoru left just as quickly as he had come.

Nick felt various feelings mixing up in him as he stood by the fridge, staring at his friend with too many emotions in his eyes to count. The blond could only nod at what Kaoru said and slowly, his bottom hit the ground as the other left. He raised up his finger, a stupid grin spreading across his face. Though this little thing probably would make it harder to deal with the fact that they would never be together as a couple in the end.

Before going back to the living room, he went to take care of his finger and... And walked into his bedroom afterwards. What for? Well, obviously, to write down this little thing in his diary. He was like a teenage girl in this aspect. Whenever something even a little bit close to this happened, he wrote it down. Always. The man happily plopped down on his bed and began writing - indeed, some of the pages had adorable drawings of him with Kaoru, the later's name in a heart. He had the most adorable crush on the other... And yet he'd never say it out loud, for anyone.

Nick may have spent a little bit too long in the bedroom than neccessary, seeing as he was looking through his small collection of Kaoru's photos. As soon as he was done, the diary went into a bookshelf and he himself walked off to finish lighting the fireplace.

  • 2 weeks later...

Stepping out of the shower, Kaoru reached for the towel draped across the rack and went to work drying off the various parts of his body before lying it lazily over his shoulders and using his hand to wipe away some of the steam that fogged the mirror.

Looking himself in the eyes, Kaoru gave a pep-talk consisting of three word: You’re Kaoru Wakahisa. And though it sounded jaded – it was precisely because it was simply his name that the words meant so much. From just the humble name he was born with, to something whisper quietly in the streets soaked in a hint of amazement, to something shrieked loudly in awe – Kaoru Wakahisa had been through it all. Exactly why putting on clothes and gong outside to face his crush should be easy: because he was Kaoru Wakahisa…though – Nick always had a funny way of making Kaoru Wakahisa turn into just Kaoru – the exact problem here. If the male was going to face the other he needed to be calm, charming Kaoru Wakahisa and not plain ol’ crushing Kaoru.

So easily, slowly, the man puffed out his chest breathing softly and pulled on the oversized clothes that Nick had left for him, the baggy shirt drooping so lowly on his lithe frame that the beginning of his chest could be saw, the baggy pants no better as they rode low on his slender hips, yet Kaoru didn’t care and left the bathroom walking as confidently as if he was wearing one of his thousand dollar suits. His feet carrying him swiftly to the living room where the fireplace dwelled – his mind now over its brief panic, now full of roasting marshmallows.

Nick was crouching in front of the fireplace, warming his hands while a pack of marshmallows was placed on the ground next to him. The blond seemed to be in deep thought, however. What was in his mind wasn't too hard to guess - it was usually Kaoru. Or food. He was a very, very simple man... Really, also like an open book - except for the crushing part. Honestly, acting scared in front of your own crush was a bit stupid, now that he thought of it. He should've laughed it off or something like that.

He heard soft footsteps, the first thought in his mind being that Kaoru wasn't wearing socks. "Stupid, go and put on socks. The floor isn't warm like in your hou..." This was exactly the moment he turned around to look at the model. The blond was completely in awe at how the other looked in his baggy clothing... He looked damn good. Of course, what else was there to expect from a model?

"Uh-I... Um..." Nick soon found himself wordless, also extremely nervous. "I... The marshmallows..." He mumbled, his cheeks going as red as the stop sign. Gods, he was such an idiot... Gulping down nervously, the young male lifted his gaze up and smiled lightly. "Um - you sure you're not cold with only a shirt? You should put on a sweater, don't want you catching a cold." He finally said, standing up slowly. He was such a huge goofball...

Kaoru smiled his nose scrunching up as he took in Nick’s blushing face. Crap, the raven signed internally, why was the blonde so cute when he blushed? Willing himself to stop staring at Nick like an idiot, Kaoru forced his mouth to move;

“Ah…yeah – I mean,” queue awkward laugh. “My feet are fine. A little cold won’t kill me.” Besides, a chilly floor was nothing compared to modeling swimsuits in December – bleh, Kaoru shivered at the thought. His job sucked sometime.

Switching to happier thoughts, like the warm gooey amazingness that was about to take place in the fire, Kaoru walked around the couch, keeping space between him and Nick as not to repeat his earlier mistake, and sat gracefully in front of the fire.

“Marshmallows?” The model demanded like a kid, his eyes lighting up.
