[Atemluver]

Lazaro stared down at the ground for a moment letting the spirits words sink in. Caddell was right, if he wasn't guarding the forest then who would? But Caddell has more since served his time as the guardian of the forest. If only the spirits could take turns guarding the forest, then one wouldn't have to spend thousands of years alone and suffering. Or if they could do it together..maybe form a village of protectors where they could each contribute something and not have to suffer all alone. After a while of thought Lazaro finally spoke to the spirit, "Maybe we could find a new guardian...Or maybe have multiple spirits who could all live together in their own village all helping protect the forest. Then you won't have to suffer all alone anymore! You could live in a house and eat and sleep, all while protecting the forest with your friends!" Lazaro's words were hopeful, and he really did want the best for both Caddell and the forest.

[{｡^◕‿◕^｡}Ciel]

 

"I um...don't have friends, Lazaro..but that was a rather creative idea. Though, more than one spirit cannot access the same place...because there will be an over-surge of power... and I don't want to risk that..." muttered Caddell that softly before he closed his eyes, and asked, "Maybe... we can try to bring peace between elves and humans... and the elves can guard the forest, like they're supposed to, instead of me?"

[Atemluver]

Lazaro smiled brightly at the suggestion of uniting both the elves and the humans. "Yes! That's exactly what I want! Then there will be no more wars, or deaths for no reason!" He grabbed both of Caddells hands in joy. "You're a genius! Lets do it! Then you and the elves and the humans can all be happy! Imagine how great life would be! ....but how would we do this...I never planned this far ahead..."

[{｡^◕‿◕^｡}Ciel]

"I don't really know how we'll do this to be quite honest... maybe while we try to break my curse... maybe we'lll think of something." The young boy squeezed the other's hand back before quietly saying, "I was given this curse in the first place... because of the fact that I'm the only human and elf hybrid since the near extinction of man due to the elves..."

[Atemluver]

"H-huh? You mean they cursed you because of your birth that was beyond your control? That's stupid..how is that your fault. They sound like jerks, it's because of people like them that elves and humans can't live in peace. This world would be so much better if it wan't for the few bad apples that had to ruin it for everyone.." He looked down at his hands, remembering his elf friend who's village was destroyed by the few arrogant humans lurking in the forest. But the task of uniting these two races is a big feat, but it was Lazaros journey so he must give it his all. "Well there are worse kinds of hybrids out there..." he mumbled to himself, his mind seems to be somewhere else at the moment.

[{｡^◕‿◕^｡}Ciel]

Nuzzling his head softly against the other's chest, he made a soft noise before quietly saying, "Nobody's perfect... and if they didn't curse me... you wouldn't have met me, because I would have never been the guardian of this forest." Flicking his ears the slightest bit, the spirit hybrid glanced at the human and said, "Everything happens for a reason..." Turning around in his arms, he pulled his hands away from his, and then hooked his arms around his neck once he was facing him, "Oi, what are you thinking about?"

[Atemluver]

His mind was else where, until he heard the spirits bright voice interrupt his thoughts. "O-oh, n-nothing!" Lazaro chuckled nervously. "Although you are very wise. I think that you have grown quite a lot since I first saw you. I'm glad." He gave Caddell a soft smile before yawning. He had been up all night, and now it was catching up to him. He desperately rubbed his eyes trying to stay awake. The second he started yawning, he knew he couldn't stop. "Sorry I'm just a little tired...."

[{｡^◕‿◕^｡}Ciel]

Caddell pouted the slightest bit at what the other said, "You met me yesterday morning... I didn't just grow out of nowhere. If anything, I would have shrunk, especially due to one of my flowers dying..." He was referring to the one that had wilted off of his crown after being stabbed. Nestled his head against the other's chest, he murmured, "You should go to sleep...I want to have fun tomorrow! A lazy Lazaro isn't going to be fun to play with..."

[Atemluver]

"Mmm? Okay.." He said sleepily. He rubbed his eyes again and crawled under the covers, dragging Caddell underneath them with him. He hugged Caddell tightly before falling into a deep sleep.

 

The following morning Lazaro woke up to the birds chirping and a crisp dew coating the grass. When he woke he seemed to be tense about something, he gazed around the forest absentmindedly before pulling out his bag. From his bag he took out some jerky and bread and began to eat the two items in silence, still a little groggy from his sleep. Strangely enough, even though he had water bottles in his bag he neither pulled one out nor drank from one.

Caddell groaned when the other pulled away that morning. Coughing harshly, the tip of the young man's nose was a soft red, cold from the night. His nose felt stuffy, and it was rather uncomfortable. Rubbing an eye, he glanced at the other male, sitting up... he wanted to have something warm... like tea. Though they couldn't have tea without fire... and Caddell hated fire... but his throat also felt a bit scratchy. Groaning loudly, he sat up, his stomach hurting... he didn't feel hungry...

[Atemluver]

"Good morning sweetie." Lazaro said gently when he noticed that Caddell was awake. Upon closer inspection of the teen he noticed something wasn't quite right. "Caddell? Are you feeling okay? Do you have a fever?" He put his hand against Caddells forehead to try and measure the spirits body temperature. "Do you want anything? Food? Water?" He had a worried look in his eyes, he wanted to help Caddell, but he wasn't sure what to do about a sick spirit. Would you nurse a spirit like you would a human? Can spirits even get sick? A bunch of questions swirled around in Lazaros mind as he waited for Caddells response.

[{｡^◕‿◕^｡}Ciel]

"My throat feels itchy..." murmured the small spirit as he quietly said, "I want tea... but I don't want fire..." He rubbed one of his eyes as he coughed, "Do you have a spell that you ca use to heat up water?" The little druid didn't really know what the other was doing... though he enjoyed the touch. Pressing his head up into the other's hand, trying to get more out of the touch, he smiled lightly.

[Atemluver]

"Poor thing..I think you're sick. It's okay I can make some tea for you..I think I can use a spell..but I don't have a tea cup to heat it in...I have a tin cup though.." He rummages through his magical bag and pulls out a tin cup and fills the cup with water and takes out his spell book, searching for the right spell. "Ah there it is!" He studied the spell in silence, and when he felt confident enough he put the cup in his hand and chanted the spell. After chanting the magical words a small fire appeared around the cup, and for a second he thought he succeed, until he realized that fire is hot, and he is holding it in his hands. Lazaro cursed and threw the cup away in a panic. He was now drenched in water, and quickly hid his hands from Caddell. "I-I need to go find some cold water now..Stay here." He got up quickly before the spirit could object and ran towards the creek.

Caddell cocked his head in slight confusion as the other ran off towards the creek. With a small sigh, he looked at his belly, and saw the bloodstains on the bandages, and huffed, rather annoyed by the fact that he had a hole in his stomach. Quietly, he got undressed, not liking how constricting the clothing felt... he was much happier with the brown, blood-stained shirt. That would be much better than... pants. Pants were annoying. Stripping of them as well he laid on their sleeping bag, naked... it was warm out this morning, though cold out at night. This was rather relaxing...

[Atemluver]

Lazaro silently cursed himself as he ran his hands through the cold water of the creek. How could he be so careless? Not only about the tea but also about this. He stared into the water at his hands and as his eyes wandered found a few of the colored fish that call this creek their home. How nice it looked in that water, so cold and refreshing, he could just jump in and... He shook his head vigorously casting the thought from his head. He better finish this up soon, or else Caddell is going to worry. Plus Caddells ill, he should hurry back.

[{｡^◕‿◕^｡}Ciel]

Caddell wasn't particularly ill. He just had a scratchy throat, and he wanted some tea. Groaning softly, he rolled over into his side, nestling his head into the warmth of the sleeping bag, closing his eyes again, though not asleep. The man was taking a little while. Although it didn't really stress the druid out, he was curious as to where Lazaro was at the moment and what specifically was taking him so long...

[Atemluver]

After a few more moments Lazaro came back from the creek. "Sorry it took me so long, I burned myself pretty badly and you know how I am with healing spells." He laughed nervously, before grabbing the tin cup again and re-filling it with water and this time sets it on the ground before chanting the spell. After the water was finished boiling he put a few tea leaves in the cup before handing it over to Caddell. "Here's your tea sweetie." He bent down and lightly kissed him on the forehead. "Be careful it's kind of hot, don't burn your tongue."

[{｡^◕‿◕^｡}Ciel]

Caddell blinked a few times at the other as he handed him the hot tea and gave an explanation. Caddell was happy that the other wasn't complaining about him being stark naked in the sleeping bed... that was always good. Taking the cup in his hands, he tensed a bit, noticing that it was hot, but began to drink it anyways... it made his throat feel much better. The heat didn't really seem to bother the young druid... it didn't hurt him, given it wasn't a man-made weapon.... it was just hot water. Finishing up the herbal water, he murmured, "Thank you, Lazaro."

[Atemluver]

He smiled seeing that Caddell was happy to receive the tea. He hoped that at the very least it helped the teen to feel a little better. He slightly glanced down at the sleeping bag, where the spirit was nestled under, and realized that he wasn't wearing any clothes. A slight blush crept upon his face, and he looked away slightly, feeling as if it was a sin to look at the spirits adorable body. "I-I'm glad you like the tea...I hope its a flavor that you like.."

[{｡^◕‿◕^｡}Ciel]

The tiny male blinked a few times as the other looked away from him. Letting out a small sigh, the young druid got out from under the sleeping bad and crawled over towards the other, letting out a small huff of air, his breath hot from the tea. Crawling up into the other's lap, he rested his head on the other's shoulder, straddling him with a yawn, trying to rid himself of his tiredness. "Can we have fun today? Like..play some game? I haven't had someone to play games with in a few hundred years..."

[Atemluver]

His blush increased as the spirit crawled on his lap, still nude. "G-game? What kind of game? I don't have any board games if that's what you want to play..." Even though Lazaro could have guessed that by the implication of a 'game' that the spirit wanted some form of sex, he still wanted to give the spirit the benefit of the doubt. "Um...hide and seek maybe?" he suggested, looking nervously over at the teen.

[{｡^◕‿◕^｡}Ciel]

"Hide and seek sounds fun. We should play that! I'm really good at that game!" laughed the younger male softly as he ran a hand through his hair with a small sigh. "Though I warn you....I'm so good, that I'll doubt that you'll see me." It was because of his powers that he was able to say such a statement. He could blend into the forest at will when he wanted to.

[Atemluver]

A smug smirk spread across Lazaros face. Despite his typical pessimistic appearance, he was actually was pretty competitive. "Okay Caddell, I accept your challenge, but be warned, I'm not too shabby myself." He cleaned up around the space where they slept and packed everything in his bag. "Okay I'm ready. What are your rules at this game?"

[{｡^◕‿◕^｡}Ciel]

 

"Hmm...my rules? It's quite simple actually. You count to 100. You're allowed to use magic for this game. And...I think there should be a prize for the winner. What should be the prize? Also...who's hiding and who's seeking?" There was a bit of a sly look in the other's eyes. He felt pretty confident about this game. Actually, he was rather excited. He'd try to win!

[Atemluver]

"Prize?" Lazaro questioned as he scratched his head thinking of a good prize for the winner. "How about the looser has to do what ever the winner wants?" He nodded in agreement with his answer, it sounded fair enough. "I can seek if you want. It seems unfair for me to be the one hiding since you can see everything in the forest anyway. I already have a slight disadvantage, but that's okay. You get 100 seconds. Ready, go!" Lazaro turned around to face the tree covering his eyes. "1........2...........3......"
