Hakuya was in a bad mood. It was way too early to be up and about in his opinion, but it couldn’t be helped since the woman whose place he’d been sleeping at for the last three nights had kicked him out. Without letting him have breakfast. To top it off Hakuya still smelled like her flowery perfume, which, combined with his long hair and slim build, had caused a stupid pervert to mistake him for a girl and fondle his rear in the train. Though the problem had been easy to take care of (by twisting the wandering hand rather painfully and informing the man of his mistake), it didn't do anything to improve Hakuya's mood.

When Hakuya was finally home, he opened the front door, kicked off his shoes and went straight to the kitchen in search of breakfast. It seemed there was none cooked, so he took out some things to make a sandwich. Might as well put off the hunger a bit and go back to sleep. Maybe then I can pretend this morning never happened.

  • 2 weeks later...

Koinu, as usual, at this time of day, was asleep in his bed, not even bothering to get up to get breakfast. He didn't really tend to eat until much later in the day. He was also rather tired because last night, it was thundering and lightening outside... and the brown-haired man wasn't particularly great at dealing with situations like that. It made him feel rather uncomfortable, honestly. Snoring quietly as he slept, he rolled over onto his side, bringing the sheets with him, encasing himself into a cocoon of comforter. This was the way that he enjoyed sleeping, honestly, because he enjoyed the warmth that it gave off. He could never sleep with his blanket off.. it just never worked well for him. It made him feel protected and safe... and it was the only comfortable way to sleep, really. Especially when it was cold outside...

No one was there to wake him up that morning, and given the fact that it was the weekend, he didn't really feel the need to set the alarm clock. Today was going to be one of those days where he slept in, got up, ate, made some dairy-free cookies and some tea, and watch some movies before he went back to sleep. That all sounded great to him... though he doubted that he could get all of that done in a day...

Takano let out a soft sigh as he looked back over at his clock. "Four AM already?" He gently rubbed his eyes and let out a yawn before giving his body a stretch. He had been accustomed to waking up early in the morning and now it didn't particularly bother him. He stood up and walked down to the kitchen before pouring a glass of green tea. In the back of his mind he wondered if his roommates were awake yet, seeing as how it stormed last night he figured that one roommate in particular must have had a rough night.

With his cup of tea ready he quietly headed back upstairs, being careful not to wake anyone up from their sleep. It was the weekend, and he never bothered his roommates too much. Some days they would ask him to wake them up but on weekends he always left them alone to do their own things. Takano gently sent his steaming cup of tea on the desk and opened his laptop and stared at the starting screen. Now that he was awake it would be best if he could get some work done.

After putting away the ingredients, Hakuya started walking towards his room while eating his sandwich. When he was at the door, he popped the last bite in his mouth, opened the portal and stepped in, only to shiver. It seemed like he'd left the window open. For three days. Walking in felt like a wall of chilly air wanted to keep him out. And it succeeded. Hakuya only stayed long enough to close the window before leaving for the noticeably warmer corridor. No way was he sleeping in that freezer! Nor would he want to sleep on the couch right now. He eyed the door to Koinu's room. It would be warm to lay next to the late sleeper, but he knew the man would be all rolled up in the covers and it would be a total pain to try to wriggle his way in. Which left Takano's room as the only option.

Now that he had a destination in mind, Hakuya went to the door and opened it without knocking. He saw the guy sitting in front of his computer and muttered a mornin' before getting on the bed and curling up under the comforter and sighing in content. He didn't care if Takano thought he was in the way or whatever, he just wanted to fall asleep and forget the morning's events.

Koinu let out a small groaned as he heard someone walking around the house... it was a pain, really. Why did people have to walk around so early in the day while he was sleeping? Having sensitive hearing, sounds as simple as that really tended to anger him. Rolling around in his bed, he hit his head against the bed-frame and let out a low growl, and sat up.

He visibly had dark circles under his eyes when he say up, obviously still exhausted and lacking sleep. Getting out of his bed in a rather ditzy manner, the older man made his way into the living room with a small sigh, his foot-work rather messy. He made his way to the coffee-machine, and started a fresh round of coffee. Really, it sucked because he couldnt put milk in his coffee due to his allergies. So instead he had to put almond milk in his coffee, and it tasted rather weird. Rubbing one of his eyes in a tired manner, he stretched against the counter.

Takano heard the soft patter of footsteps leading to his room. He turned around to see one of his roommates Hakuya, make cozy on his bed. "Good morning Hakuya, it's strange to see you up this early." He said as he continued to type away on his laptop. It never really bothered Takano when his roommates came into his room, rather he enjoyed the company. Although, he did prefer that his roommates not fall asleep on his bed at four in the morning. With a slight shrug he continued his work deciding to leave the younger male alone. Takano just figured that it wasn't his business if the other man wanted to sleep again.

After a while of working, he could hear footsteps heading downstairs, so that meant Koinu was up as well. Although from his experience Koinu wasn't as friendly as Hakuya when it came to mornings, plus he probably got very little sleep considering the storms from last night. "Hakuya please get up, it's already seven in the morning, you can't stay in bed all day." Takano gently nudged the male sleeping in his bed.

Hakuya woke up to Takano’s voice telling him it was seven o’clock. He popped his head out from under the covers and rubbed his eyes, before speaking with a voice that still sounded rough from sleep. “Do I really have to get up?” He glanced at the man next to the bed, let out a sigh and sat up. Both his hair and clothes were a complete mess. “If I get up now, will you make breakfast?” Without really waiting for an answer, Hakuya rose to his feet and walked silently towards his room. Once there, he grabbed a towel and a clean set of comfortable clothes, before going to take a short shower. He had to get rid of the feminine scent.

Five minutes of steaming hot water and vigorous scrubbing later, he dried himself halfheartedly and pulled on a loose pair of gray sweatpants and a black t-shirt. After that he headed to the kitchen while trying to dry his hair with a towel. When Hakuya lifted his gaze from his toes, he saw Koinu by the counter. “Mornin’. Is there enough coffee for me too?” He dropped the towel on the back of a chair and went to get a mug from the cupboard.

Koinu had nearly fallen asleep while standing next to the coffee-maker, his head in his arms and his rear sticking outwards ever so casually. He was still exhausted... he needed some legit sleep. He'd probably make sure that he'd get some later tonight. As he heard footsteps come into the kitchen... he figured by the rather dainty pitter-patter the other's feet made, it was probably Haku.

Not really bothering to lift his head, hoping that the other would just pass him and leave him be for the day... he nearly drifted to sleep. Though, when the other started talking to him, he let out a rather annoyed groan and lifted his head, blue eyes rather sleepy-looking. "Oi, there's enough for all three of us to have a mug." He always made coffee right after he made up, and surprisingly, he was considerate enough to make enough for the trio. Sniffing the air slightly, given he had a good sense of smell, he let out a huff, "You smell nice... but a little girly."

A small smile spread across Takanos face as he watched the groggy male try and get up out of his bed. "Yes, yes I'll make you breakfast. Just please wake up." He teasingly poked the younger male trying to coax him out of bed. Finally the male reluctantly got up and decided to take a shower. Takano could never understand people who took morning showers, he preferred showering at night so he could be clean when going to bed.

He walked down the stairs only to find Koinu hunched over the counter half-asleep. "Hey if you want to sleep you should do it on the couch." Takano made his way into the kitchen before getting out some eggs and bacon to make breakfast for the two. Both of his roommates were a little...odd. He liked to believe that Hakuya acted more like a cat, and Koinu more like a dog. It was a little strange to think about, but it didn't bother Takano at all. He hummed slighly as he cracked a few of the eggs open onto the frying pan.

Hakuya’s eyes snapped to Koinu when he heard the man’s comment about smelling nice. “What? Still?” He shook his head more astonished than annoyed by the information. “What the hell is that stupid perfume made of, to still linger after a shower…” The boy was muttering under his breath while pouring the coffee. “I’ll never spend a night at a woman’s place again.” Come to think of it, I don’t even remember her name... Bah, who cares, we obviously didn’t even have sex, so there’s no need to.

Hakuya scrunched his nose at the mere thought of doing it with a woman, took his mug and went to sit at the kitchen table to wait for the breakfast. He didn’t touch the coffee yet though, it was still too hot and he didn’t want to ruin it by adding milk. He was of the opinion that coffee should be coffee and milk should be milk.

“Any plans for today?” He didn’t really feel like going anywhere today, but if one of his roommates was going to do something interesting he might as well tag along. It’s not like he had anything else to do. And after the horrible morning he had before returning home, he felt like being pampered.

Koinu glanced at the other with a small sigh, his eyes holding a bit of drowsiness. Pouring himself a mug of coffee, he didn’t even bother putting milk into it. He was too lazy to do that today. Taking the pot, he put it back on the heater, a rather small smile lacing his lips. Even the smell of coffee… it was delightful to him… Letting out a rather delighted sigh, he sipped at his coffee, ignoring the burning feeling that slipped down his throat.,.. he ignored it. He really just needed to get the caffeine into his system. “Yeah, you still smell like a woman. I never knew that you slept around, Haku.” There was a bit of dry sarcasm in his tone.

Quietly, he followed the other into the living room and sat in a chair. He felt rather tired still as he continued to sip at the black coffee. When the other asked him the question, he pulled the mug away from his lips and murmured, “I think I might go food shopping or go to the café today. You can come with me if you want to.”

Takano let out a soft sigh when he heard Koinu complain about how Hakuya 'smelled like a woman'. What even was that supposed to mean? Was Koinu some kind of dog or something for having such a great sense of smell? He shrugged to himself before finishing up cooking the bacon and eggs he had on the stove. He then moved the contents of the pan to three different plates before setting them down on the table. "Here's breakfast you guys, I hope you like it." He gave both of them a soft smile and sat down before eating his own portion of his meal.

When he was finished he placed his own dishes into the sink, and began to wash them. He overheard his roommates talking about heading into town from the living room. "Are you two heading into town? Have fun you guys~! Oh, can you pick me up some coffee cake from the cafe in town if it isn't too much trouble?"

Hakuya rolled his eyes at Koinu’s comment. "Like I’d sleep with a woman; you know I like it up the ass. Besides, it’s easier to just come home and jump one of you instead of wandering around searching for a willing partner, so I don’t do it that much anymore…" When Takano put the plate down in front of him, Hakuya muttered a small ‘thanks’ under his breath before digging in.

When Koinu told of his plans for the day, he cocked his head. "Eeeh~ just that?" After thinking for a second he shrugged. "Fine. Not like there’s anything else to do anyway." Hakuya finished his food and started on his coffee before hearing Takano’s request for cake. "I guess we could if we’re going there anyway." He drained his mug, stood and brought his dishes next to the sink for his roommate to wash. He went to the living room, curled up on one end of the couch and turned on the TV, putting it to a music channel, while waiting for Koinu to finish his breakfast.

Koinu huffed slightly with a small smirk before he muttered, "Hmm, girls usually don't like it up the ass." He sniggered slightly, amused by his own comment before he mutter, "I'm sure that Takano and I would please you much better." He chuckled genuinely at the idea of Hakuyu actually... going all the way with a woman.

When he saw the food placed infront of him, a small smile came to his lips as he stared at the bacon and eggs. Koinu was a rather quick eater. Most people didn't even know if he tasted the food based on the way that he scarfed it down. Once he was finished, and basically cleaned the plate, and drank his mug of coffee, the dog-like man got up from the table and placed the dishes in the sink, rinsing them off, though not quite cleaning them.

Making his way towards the living room along with Hakuyu, he rested on one of the cushions on the couch, resting his head back against the comfortable seating. Really, Koinu was an easy person to please. Give him food, water, something to do, and a comfy place to sleep, and he'd be set for life.
