themasterdances
Faolan hoped the other man's teasing wouldn't turn him permanently red! Still, he was glad to be told Drashi would rather keep Faolan to himself. He shrugged as the other princ burst into laughter. “My father's throne is made of stone. I don't think it'd be a comfortable place for canoodling.” Even with the other's humor it was a little to easy to picture the other's words. Flush, he shook his head that no, when put that way, it didn't sound so uncomfortable. He leaned affectionately into the other, promising, “I wouldn't dream of it.” Though he tried to remind himself they were still just getting to know each other, it felt true. He was alarmingly attached to Drashi in very little time. He chuckled, “We're very compatible when our tempers aren't clashing.” They seemed as quick to fight as get along, though that might have a lot to do with the artificial situation rather than their actual compatibility. Faolan listened attentively, glad for a little more insight into Drashi. It was easy to relate to the first bit- growing up Faolan had found many friends less reliable than they'd first appeared. Not being too trusting or open was a hard lesson. At least he could always take Cenric and Singh at their word. He smiled as Drashi described his relationship to Sapphire. “You've known each other all your life then. No wonder he came here with you.” He nodded, with a little grimace, at the end of it. “I know the feeling. My father let Cenric and Singh choose their partners, I always assumed I'd be allowed the same.” Fate? “I'm not sure.” He glanced up at the sky for a moment, before saying, “I think there are many powers at work, from men and from gods. I don't know how much of it all is Fate though.” He looked curiously at Drashi, “What do you believe?”
syaoran-puu
Drashi decided that Faolan was rather adorable when he blushed... and part of him really wanted to ensure that he remained in a red-faced state around him often, it seemed to brighten his face up with mirth and enjoyment. Both traits he enjoyed. He shrugged slightly, "My father once told me, that if you didn't fight at all then evidently you really don't care... though I suspect the situation he was referring to was rather different than ours." He admits slightly. With a nod he confirmed that he had known Sapphire all his life, "He isn't much older than me, it is a tradition that our servants are given jewelled names to identify their importance. Sapphire is more... family than slave to me." Slave wasn't really the right word, he'd never call or treat Sapphire as a slave. Servant seemed wrong too. Yet, friend wasn't adequate either. With a nod he frowned, "It's not too bad though.... could have done worst." He teased lightly, not wanting them to linger too much on things they couldn't change... and things that Drashi didn't want to change. Considering he replied, "I believe in fate. I believe that sometimes you are simply in the right place when you're suppose to be..... Gods, or man, or destiny... whatever you want to call it, there are..." He chose his words carefully; "...many things in this world that are hard to explain." He hinted lightly, wondering how well Faolan would take the news that Drashi wasn't completely.... human....? Background noise slowly start to flitter through the air towards his sensitive ears, it seemed they were all too soon returning to the palace. Not that he could really delay much longer. "Do you...." He considered, "....like living here?" After all, this was Drashi's home too now, though it seemed he had made less than an impression and he suspected several guards would gladly attempt to wipe the floor with him. He grinned, that would be interesting.
themasterdances
Faolan smiled, “Your father sounds wise.” Fighting wasn't so bad. Faolan would rather fight and make up, than be with someone that would just agree with him and never challenge him. “I think it applies here too.” “He's lucky you think of him that way.” Not everyone was kind to their servants. Faolan didn't like thinking how much worse that could be if the person with less power could be considered a slave. He smiled brightly at the other, teasing back, “It's not completely hopeless.” He urged Peaches to stop closer to Drashi and Duke so he could lightly bump the other's shoulder with a free hand. “I'm not unhappy with the way things are working out.” For all the anger and bluster over the entire thing, he was surprised by just how well their match worked out. Before Drashi came to court, he hadn't had much interest in romance, and now he had butterflies in his stomach every time he looked at the other man. “That's why I like the forest.” He glanced back into the thick of trees, a little dreamy, “The world is so much bigger than the royal court. There are strange and more interesting things just beyond reach.” He didn't know how much of their lives was Fate's hand, but it was nice to think some unseen force set things in the right direction. But the world, that was definitely full of unexplainable scary and wonderful things. He considered the question, trying to think of the clearest answer to convey complicated feelings. “I do. Its my home, my entire life. I just..” He waved a hand, “I feel restless sometimes by it. Like I'm not quite fitting in.” He shrugged, and gave Drashi another big smile, sincere as anything, “But I'm happy here, all the same. I want you to be happy here too.”
syaoran-puu
Drashi nodded softly, he thought rather highly of his father. He was a good king, and a man that Drashi wanted to make proud one day... eventually. Perhaps, this partnership would be the one way to see that happen? Either way, he knew he would stand by his mate..... all that was left was to tell the guy what he was! When Peaches and Faolan moved closer and bumped them he grinned and chuckled softly, "Who knew you were such a romantic Prince Faolan?" He winked at him, returning his gaze to the path as he considered and said softly, "remind me to write you a poem if I ever piss you off. Might help myself back into your good books." He half teased. "The forests here seems nice though.... I like anything outside, nature is so much more..... honest." Still, Drashi liked that his mate seemed open minded, that he already believed that there were things in the world..... "Do you believe in shapeshifters?" He asked offhandedly, his gaze appearing more interested in the trees around them than Faolan though that was so far from the truth.... he was watching Faolan carefully. Drashi wasn't going to tell him anything yet, he was just.... testing the water, so to speak. When Faolan said he wanted to Drashi to be happy here too he nodded, falling serious for a moment. "Thanks. I hope to be happy here too.... and hopefully not piss off anymore of your guards, or I will have to start sleeping with one eye open." themasterdances
He chuckled, “I don't think anyone's ever written me a poem before.” Faolan had never been the type to stay angry for long anyway; he needed little more plying than a kind hug. But it was probably better not reveal that he was quite so easy, since he'd rather have a poem and a hug if it ever came up. He looked up at the other prince, glad, “'Honest' is a good word for it.” “In Mingan we have stories that skirt between history and fiction, about how the forests used to be flush with fae. They say that witchcraft and similar magic is the result of humans and fairies having children way back then.” Faolan couldn't hide his affection for the topic- he had been raised on scary stories of fairies stealing bad children from their beds, and wonderful stories of great adventures with dragons and all sorts of amazing creatures. The younger prince dropped his gaze, looking bashful, “I've never seen anything. But you hear stories about the things other people encounter.. I hope you don't think it too childish. What do you believe?” Faolan smiled despite the other's serious expression. “I'm sure they'll forgive you. It's not as though you hurt me.” Thoughtfully, he added, “We could still go down to practice yard tomorrow. You can win them over.” In the end it would just take time. Drashi was very charming, and was familiar with military, he was sure things would smooth over.
syaoran-puu
"Then I will be honoured to be the first...." In something else, he mused, knowing he had been Faolan's first already. He would always cherish that gift.... and just make sure that he showed Faolan exactly what he'd been missing out on. Of course, his dragon was possessive and greedy and wanted to monopolise all of Faolan's firsts! "Fae huh?" He looked around, wondering how true those stories were.... probably once upon a time, but were they still here? Maybe he'd come and explore under a full moon and see, that was the always the best time to see the majestic fairy folks, they enjoyed dancing and playing under the moonlight. Dragons enjoyed the full moon too. There wasn't a compulsion to shift, it wasn't as if it controlled them, but they did enjoy being around their own kind during the full moon, a time of mates and fun and love and friendship. Deciding to hint at his secret, though not in a way that could be connected he said, "We have many legends about dragons, they are likely the most popular tales in Draconia. Even our name is close to the word Dragon really. My favourite was always about the guardian of the skies, the king of dragons, blue eyes so blue you could see straight to his soul....." He glanced at Faolan, a small flash of his own eye colour, inherited within his family from the very dragon of legend, the original, the first. "....he was said to love Sapphires and the people would leave them as offerings." He smirked, this was the reason for Sapphires name. All connected, a reminder of the past.... "I believe," he said carefully, "That there is truth in all tales, they might be a little twisted and warped from the original story... like a long line of Chinese whispers, but I think each holds a sliver of truth. I used to enjoy listening to them all." He chuckled, "We'd hold parties once a month, under the full moon, a time of magic apparently.... I'd sit around the fire and just listen in awe as the men all shared their stories and sightings." Of course, Drashi knew there was truth behind the stories, and it had made it all the more fascinating. He sighed, "Hopefully you're right... but yes, we can do that. I would be very interested to see what skills you have." He said with a touch of teasing but mostly sincerity.
themasterdances
“Mhmm.” He sounded, watching as the other's gaze went to the forest around them. “We have stories about shape changers and other things too.” His mind whirred with curiosity as Drashi shared that Draconia had similar stories, but with dragons as the focus. “A king of dragons must make for some very good stories.” Maybe Drashi would tell him some of his favorite Draconi stories. Looking up at the other prince, he wondered if stories of blue eyed dragons weren't popular specifically because of the royal families blue eyes. It was easy to imagine a bard being inspired by eyes as gorgeous as Drashi's. “I'm glad you think that way.” He smiled, feeling comfortable with the other man knowing he had a similar affection for such things. “If our parties were ever like that, I would like them much better.” He mused, before adding hopefully, “I'd like to spend some evening just swapping stories with you. I want to know all your favorite tales.” He laughed, good natured in the face of the other's teasing, “Maybe I'll surprise you. We should make a bet on who will win.” They were drawing closer to the road back to the castle. At least they were taking the long way back, but it was a shame they had to go back so soon in the first place.
syaoran-puu
"There are some very entertaining stories." He agreed with a chuckle. "I'll have to share them one day." Drashi would be happy to, maybe it would be an excuse to start dropping little hints, clues that Faolan can connect to him? Or not, Drashi wasn't sure how long he could hold back, already his gums tingles with the desire to bite his mate again. He shrugged softly, "Many people make assumptions about me. Self-centred, greedy, devious...." He shrugged, "But I am pretty open minded, good strategy dictates that you should be flexible and adaptable." He glanced at Faolan and considered his words before saying, "When I first came here, I had decided to see this as a challenge, just one big game that I needed to win...." He looked back to the path and frowned a little, "....I'm not sure I still think that way." He did still love a challenge, but the game had completely shifted now. A dragon mate, that took precedence over all else. But Faolan wasn't just any dragon mate.... he was Drashi's mate! His most precious gift. "I'd like to do that, share stories with you. It will help me become more familiar with your culture too... of course." He chuckles, "if my father ever retells you a tale... act as if its the first time you've ever heard it." He smirked fondly, "He likes entertaining guests with adventurous stories." "A bet?" He quirked a brow, "a gentleman never bets for money.... so what would you like to bet for?" He enquired, wiggling his brow playfully, "favours perhaps?"
themasterdances
Faolan visibly bristled, “They shouldn't make assumptions. You're nothing like that.” Admittedly, they'd both made a pretty bad first impression on each other. But it still wasn't right to prejudge people, and for the little time he'd known him, Drashi had been thoughtful and kind to him. He shifted his attention back to Drashi, “That's what you said when we were dancing.” He inclined his head to give Drashi a curious look, “What would 'winning' be, in this situation?” He wanted Drashi to be a real part of his life. So much for court was already a game. “Well, I understand the logic of thinking of it that way. But I'm glad if you change your mind, I don't want you to look at me and see a challenge.” The blonde smiled with his usual affection, “I look forward to it.” He laughed, shaking his head, “Oh no, I have a terrible poker face. He'll know right away if you've already told me.” But Faolan could never hear a story to many times. If the Draconi king was a story teller, they might actually get along. Faolan nodded, “Favours.” Betting for money was boring, they already had plenty of that.
syaoran-puu
Drashi shrugged, "I don't blame them.... stereotypes run high everywhere. I would rather have a few real friends rather than a hundred fake." He meant it too, of course, most might consider that having Sapphire, his man servant, as his friend was wrong... yet Drashi could never bring himself to think that way. He cherished the guy, would likely have gone insane by now without the slightly older man. He eyed his.... husband... for a moment before tugging slightly on Duke's reins and causing the graceful horse to gallop a few steps before slowing again. Slowly he turned back to the guy and smiled a little. "It means I like a challenge.... When in a situation that is new, or outside of my comfort zone, I twist it into a game, something I can conquer. I suppose it is simply a coping mechanism...." He sighed then looked away from the guy, "And this challenge isn't over yet...." He might not see Faolan as his challenge anymore, but the rest of the court and castle life was another thing... another thing entirely. Inclining his head he accepted the others praise, though his mind was wondering what the pieces of the court were.... and how he could manipulate them to his needs. Maybe the other prince might even help? "...hence Lord Henry Galafrey." He took a risk by admitting. Drashi smirks at the little tribit about the lack of a poker face, "I'll have to remember that." He said with a wink, "I see a game of strip poker in our future." He teased, but then he turned a little serious and said softly; "I'll have to help distract him so he doesn't notice then." Drashi winked at his mate. When the other agreed to have favours as their betting coinage he practically salivated, and the desire to rub his hands together in glee was almost too much! He moved his horse closer to the other and whispered. "Deal.... but be warned.... I can be rather... imaginative." He chuckled then straightened up. They were nearly back at the castle, and the stable was close. Sapphire was waiting, Lady already away by the look of it. While the horse was still in motion he tossed a leg over the horse's back before landing gracefully beside him as he clucked his tongue. Duke stopped instantly, he patted his rump softly and then looked over at Sapphire. The guy silently walked over, bowed his head and took Dukes reins before glancing at the other prince. "Prince Faolan, would you like me to take Peaches into the stable for you?"
themasterdances
Faolan nodded, before smiling gently at Drashi, “I want to be one of your real friends.” He wanted to get to know Drashi as well as the others closest friends did, and he wanted Drashi to trust him like he trusted them. The young prince hoped he wasn't getting ahead of himself, but once his heart was in something, it took all of him with it. He listened quietly, wanting and willing to understand the way Drashi thought. It did make sense as a way to cope with difficult situations, and court was by in large a game like this. Faolan knew other people saw a game of chess, but he had never had a knack for seeing things that way. He urged Peaches forward with a gentle squeeze of his legs, so Duke wouldn't get far ahead of them. “He's a powerful noble.” He conceded. “So are you setting pieces into place just in case you need them, or are you looking for political power..?” He trailed off, wondering what the goal of Drashi's game was. Different people in court found social, political, and economic power in different ways. At least if he could understand what Drashi wanted, he would understand the other man a little better. That made Faolan laugh. Poetry and strip poker, what an interesting thing relationships were. His smile and eyes softened at the assurance Drashi would help make sure his father didn't notice he was familiar with the stories already. “Thank you. I'm sure I won't enjoy the stories any less, no matter how many times I hear them. They'll be knew compared to stories I've grown up with all my life, anyway.” He leaned instinctively closer when Drashi brought his horse nearer to speak softly. His cheeks heated slightly, and he wondered if he should worry about what the other man would come up with. Still, he couldn't help but smile, “You're not the only one.” Far too soon, if you asked Faolan, their little forest adventure was over. He hesitated at Sapphire's offer. He enjoyed taking care of his horses, but considering how much time they'd already taken up, it was probably better this way. He swung down from Peaches, and offered his reigns to the other, “Yes. Thank you for that.” He stroked Peaches' neck for a moment, murmuring some appreciation, and apologizing for letting the stable hands rub her down instead of doing it himself. He turned back to Drashi, his mood bright even though they had a dinner to contend with. “Shall I walk you back to your room?” He asked, offering his arm to the other. Drashi smiled at the easy going nature of Faolan, "I would enjoy being your friend Faolan...." He paused a moment, looking the younger prince over, "....but know that I am aiming for much more with you." He decided then and there, given how their conversations had gone, that he wouldn't hide his intention, at least not in the privacy of the company between them. Drashi inclined his head at Faolan's observation, "I did notice that," he admitted, it was part of the reason he had approached the other man. That and it was obvious the guy was an untapped resource, at the edge of the current circle but obviously powerful enough to still receive an invitation. "I think he was rather surprised by my attentions." He smirked, remembering how he made the other man rather nervous. That wasn't unusual, some people could sense the beast lurking within his soul, others simply found his status intimidating. Either way, he was willing to take advantage of either. At Faolan's question he paused, considering his answer as he turned to glance at his husband. "My goal is selfish. To protect myself. I am in a foreign land, and to begin with my betrothed looked as if he wanted nothing to do with me. Many seem to tolerate a male.... bride..." he bit out the word with some force, "...but the looks of distain are not so easily hidden. Not everyone, but from some. I had aimed to ensure myself a sliver of political safety. After all, this match is political first Prince Faolan, the union between our people will have a great impact on both of our people. But that does not mean I shall allow myself to remain powerless and be seen as insignificant...." he paused a moment and added, "...even if I have to play dirty." Drashi didn't see anything wrong in his goal, but he knew it might be hard for the other prince to understand. These were his lands, he was welcomed and accepted here.... the same could not be said for Drashi. "Plus," he started, intending to soften his previous words and choices a little. "It would seem I shot myself in the foot by how I treated you.... it will take me a while, if not forever, to regain any measure of support from your guards. Perhaps if I let them kick my arse a time or two they will see reason." He winked and chuckled, he knew he wouldn't let them kick his arse, not on purpose at least, it went against everything in him to simply lay down his sword and play dead. He chuckled at the eagerness of the other prince in learning his stories, "I am starting to fear that you will be disappointed, maybe I will have to find a way of making the stories more colourful..." a lusty grin spread over his face, "like naked in our bed, with fruit and cream as I indulge you in stories and enjoy your body for myself...." Yes, Drashi rather liked that idea. He liked it a lot! A burst of laughter escaped him, "I will enjoy seeing your imagination first hand then...." And he would, he rather liked a creative partner, kept things interesting, and not just in the bedroom. He stretched his body and shook out his leg muscles after the ride while he waited for his mate and friend to finish their conversation, without another word Sapphire bowed and lead both horses away. "Do not fear, Sapphire will look after Peaches as if she is one of my horses." He smirks, "Which means he will spoil her." Sapphire had a soft spot for a beautiful horse. When Faolan mentioned his room, he growled, unable to stop himself snapping slightly. "Our room." He turned to look at the other prince, his blue eyes swirling as the dragon shifted below the surface, almost daring the other prince to deny his claim. Let him try.... but Drashi knew something Faolan didn't, in the end, Drashi would get his way. Taking a forced steady breath he said softly, "Sure, please lead me back to our rooms." He prepared himself to follow, his mind wondering what he should wear to dinner. "How.... " He paused a moment then continued, "...outrageous would you like me to dress?" He had yet to purchase any clothes in the style of this kingdom, something he was procrastinating on considering he rather enjoyed his own garments..... of course, he had brought some of his favourite outfits with him, and several were in bright colours that didn't seem to be worn here. He would stand out. Drashi didn't mind that, he didn't mind that at all.... in fact, part of him wanted everyone to notice him. To know he wasn't afraid, that he wasn't simply going to vanish because they were bored of him. Drashi was here to stay. Or, until he could talk his mate to return to dragon country with him. themasterdances
Faolan sat up a little straighter in the saddle, obviously pleased Drashi wanted to be friends as well. It would have stung to be rejected, or perhaps thought silly considering what they had already done. He glanced up at Drashi, reddening slightly but nodding. “Well, we're already married.” Somehow the older prince's directness put butterflies in his stomach. “He seemed a little flustered.” Who wouldn't be flustered beneath the other prince's bright blue eyes, though? He fell quiet to listen as Drashi explained the motivations behind his actions. “It was fairly selfless of you to come to a foreign country practically by yourself and marry a stranger, all for everyone else's safety. You're entitled to a little selfishness.” He bit his lip at the reminder that he'd been a bit less than welcoming their first night. He pursed his lips, unsure, “I don't think you're powerless. My family has gone on and on about how important it is that I get along with you. Singh says that if we don't appear united, other nobles might think they can use you to undermine me.” Faolan chuckled, “I'm sure they'll forgive you eventually. Everyone is a little extra tense when it comes to foreign royalty.” He smiled widely at the other, “I'd rather watch you kick their arses. Then I can brag that my partner is one of the best swordsmen in the castle~” He was quick to shake his head, already certain he'd enjoy anything Drashi had to tell him. “I just like listening to you talk, no matter the content.” He squirmed in the saddle, blushing at the other prince's suggestion. “That does sound.. lively.” Oh dear- what kind of expression would he have when Drashi's father retold him the stories, and he was remembering that sort of thing. Maybe really should work on improving his poker face. Reassured Sapphire would take good care of his horse, he turned his smile back towards Drashi. The expression quickly turned to a stubborn look at the snapped correction. “The rooms you are currently occupying.” He offered, heading back towards the castle halls. He tilted his head thoughtfully at the question, before asking curiously, “Can I see the clothes you brought? They're very pretty..” Realizing that might sound like an awkward request, he amended, “I'll help you pick something out.” It was just that they didn't have anything quite like Drashi's kimonos. syaoran-puu
"Well, we're already married." Those words ached a little. He knew all too well that being married didn't actually mean more. One of his friends was far closer to his friends than his wife.... he didn't want that. He wanted his mate. His partner. Someone he could turn to and talk to, someone to support him and who he could support back. A team. He wanted something even better than friendship. He held his tongue though, allowing the conversation to drop and flow to the next instead of pushing his point. After all, perhaps being married meant more to the other Prince than he had originally anticipated? Especially since the guy had said "This entire marriage is a laugh." Of course, he was willing to let the guy off since he had been more than a little forward after their marriage ceremony and emotions were running high. He rode in silence a moment then chuckled lightly, "I'll admit that I like knocking others off balance, watching them fluster and recover is very telling. You can tell a lot about a person, especially their inner strength, by how they collect themselves and continue." He looked at Faolan, seriousness flooding his expression. "I did it because I was told to. Not because I was trying to be selfless. Please do not confuse the two. I am, however, determined to do my best despite how I came to be here." He considered the thought of having power, of what Singh said. "She is right. To a degree at least. Their is more strength in a show of unity than there is with separation. Support and a strong bond both sooths others, and makes them more reluctant to attack." He turned to look at him and smiled a little, "Your sister seems nice, from the brief conversations we've had. She loves you very much, that much is abundantly clear." He laughed along with Faolan and smirked, "I will endeavour to do that then. If nothing else I am sure that I can show them a trick or three." He winked. Drashi rather enjoyed that his partner liked his voice. It helped to have a natural attraction and enjoyment. When his husband asked about seeing his clothing he smiled and nodded. "Of course." He eyed Faolan carefully before declaring, "I have one we might even be able to adapt so you could wear it. If you wanted of course." Now that would cause quite a stir at dinner. Drashi was sure his father would kill him if he learnt of his sons intention. When they reached their rooms he lead the way to his wardrobe, Diamond should have unpacked. Sure enough, everything was as it should be. He indicated that Faolan should join him. "Here." There were only about twenty outfits, he was told that he couldn't bring too many, and had probably brought more than his father had intended, but still.... he really did enjoy his own clothing. Pulling out one that was the same blue as his eyes he held it up to his partner. "It would certainly look nice with your hair." He chuckled and placed it on the bed before sitting down beside it. He had several other bright colours, each of them looked nice with his black hair. From gold, to turquoise, silver, red, even purple. "Which do you like?" themasterdances
Faolan huffed softly, “As good a reason as any other for marriage, I suppose.” But they'd both done it because they were ordered too, because it just had to be done. He reached for the other's hand, leaning into the taller prince's arm. “I know you will. You seem like the kind of person who accomplishes their goals.” It wasn't so much compliment as observation- Drashi was clearly a determined man in whatever he did. He gave a nod. “Regardless, you'll have plenty of the court interested in you, and there's power in that if you know how to wield it. And you have such a way of standing out, I don't think anyone could overlook you.” He smiled brightly at the compliment to his sister, “Yes. If you ever need someone to talk to besides me, or your servants, you can confide in her. She has out best interests at heart.” “Good.” He grinned up at the other. He'd really look forward to seeing that man in action. The offer to wear one of the beautiful robes surprised the young prince, but he found he very much liked the idea. Always one to be adventurous, he smiled and nodded gratefully. “I'd like that, I think. As long as you really don't mind.” He couldn't imagine how his family would react to that, but it seemed harmless enough, and he was curious about Draconia's culture. He followed Drashi to the wardrobe, delighting at the sight of those bright colors. He lightly touched some of the silky clothes, but turned away when Drashi selected one. He nodded his agreement, admitting, “That's really a lovely color.” His gaze lifted to Drashi's own blue eyes, before he quickly turned back to the wardrobe. His face was starting to flush just thinking about the way that cloth would have him match with the other man's eyes. “Perhaps we should go into the city sometime this week. There must be things you want to buy that you couldn't bring with you from home.” He suggested, noting that while every robe was gorgeous, there weren't many of them. “Of course, you can always ask the palace staff for anything you need. But sometimes its nice to choose for yourself.” After a few moments of letting the robes take up his attention, he finally selected a gold one, holding it out for Drashi to see. “What about this? The gold will complement your eyes, and I think the two will look good beside each other.”
syaoran-puu
He chuckled, "I assure you they will soon lose interest when it becomes obvious how devoted I am to you." He shrugged, "I told you before, I shall take our vow seriously, even if you decide that you do not wish to continue this with me." Still, when Faolan took his hand Drashi squeezed it gently. Faolan was his mate, Drashi would never walk away from him. Even if it meant living as his friend. This was his life now. Drashi smiled and nodded, he'd keep that in mind if he ever needed anyone but he found it hard to trust many others with his intimate thoughts. Even Diamond wasn't privy to most of the Princes thoughts. It didn't help that Drashi hadn't really know the other servant that long. Sapphire was his, not Diamond, back at home. "Thank you." He replied politely. "I do not mind." He said softly, chuckling a little, "I wouldn't have suggested it if I did." Drashi was amused at how Faolan took great interest in his clothing, he sat and watched silently, letting the other prince take his time. "I am glad you like them. The blue is one of my favourites actually." His grin increased, "As is the gold. You're right, they would look stunning together. The gold reminds me of your hair, so it is most fitting. If we do this though, we should ensure that I have a garment of your country to wear for the next dinner, or it will look as if I am politically attempting to corrupt you." He winked, "Maybe I am a little." He stood up and pulled the other prince into his arms, holding him like the most precious thing in the world; "My father insisted that I blend in with your people, become one of them, so I will. I will buy many outfits in the style of this land, I will even consider tying my hair as you do, though I will not cut it.... but know that I will always have a special place for my own culture, and I would appreciate it if I didn't completely have to abandon it." He spoke honestly, the voice of his heart shining true. He smiled once more, a full out smile that brightened his entire face. "Let us grab a quick shower and I will help dress you. I believe I even have a spare sword belt if we are required to wear our blades." Most wore them as a symbol rather than a weapon.
themasterdances
“All the better, I'll be able to dominate your attention more if they do.” Faolan smiled up at him. It frightened him a bit how quickly his feelings developed for Drashi, but he was already terribly attached. He didn't know what the future would bring, but it was hard to imagine changing his mind about their relationship. He lay the gold cloth down next to the blue one on the bed. The colors did compliment each other. “That sounds fair. I'm sure we can find something you'd look dashing in for next time.” He gave the other a playful grin, “Maybe I like being corrupted.” He welcomed being pulled into Drashi's arms, immediately cuddling up to the other with nothing but affection. The younger prince reached a hand up, soothingly stroking the taller man's shoulder. “I understand you have to listen to your father, but know that I won't ever expect you to be anyone but yourself. I don't need you to assimilate. And..” He tipped his head back, peering up at the other, “Since we're equals in this, our cultures are equally important.” Looking at that amazing smile, Faolan couldn't help but lift up onto his toes and press a kiss to the other's cheek. “Alright.” That was probably for the best. Faolan didn't think he could put the garment on properly if left to his own devices. He also needed to wash off sweat and dirt from their little romp in the forest. “You'd want it for a bigger dinner, but it's optional for an intimate dinner with my family.”
syaoran-puu
"Dashing huh?" He teased softly, contemplating the outfits he had seen yesterday. A rather neutral, earthy toned group really with a dash of colour to highlight and accentuate. "Can you recommend a good tailor?" He asked curiously, "Perhaps not even the most popular, I often find sometimes a less known name produces much grander work. Plus, I will need a lot of outfits, and quickly. For myself and my servants, it might not be possible for someone more highly sought after to fit such an order into their busy schedule." He laughed at the other princes teasing, "I just bet you do." Considering Drashi had taken the guys virginity only a day ago, and had fucked him outside today, he could most certainly claim corruption already. He nodded, "I'm glad. I was considering seeing if the tailor you suggest would be able to adapt or design a garment similar to my kimono, I would be happy to loan them one as a template. I have worn them all of my life, and if I am honest, I have always had a fondness for them." He shrugged, not seeing a need to hide his feelings on the matter. "Equals." He repeated, smiling wider. "I like the sound of that. I like the sound of that a lot." Gently he caressed the other princes cheek, the skin was so smooth and perfect. Baring any marks that Drashi himself had left, the guy was utterly flawless. He was proud to have such a stunning creature be his mate. After the kiss, which made Drashi smile once more, he led Faolan to the shower he had discovered earlier. Quite ingenious actually. A tank of warmed water with holes in that could be opened to allow the flow of water. It was something he would have to share with his father. Especially since the water was simply a bi-product from the heating system that ran near constantly to heat the palace. He had been informed of this by Sapphire, who had also told him it was called a shower. Made sense. Like a rain shower. "How intimate are we talking?" Opening the valve he tested the water before striping off his clothing and stretching slightly. He watched his mate like his prey for a moment before stepping into the tub that caught the falling water. He raised his face to the stream, sighing contently at the warmth that flowed over him. "Just like a waterfall." He commented quietly., shaking his head a little, sending stray water droplets drifting around him, as he glanced in Faolan's direction again. Reaching out Drashi offered his hand. "Let me help you my sweet."
themasterdances
“Quite.” The younger prince insisted. He nodded at the question, offering, “There's palace staff for that. They're quite good, but they get busy. I can think of a few good tailors in the city, too.” Certainly any tailor would be delighted by the promise of so much business from a prince. “Thats an idea.” Faolan tipped his head back, trying to remember what he could of the local tailors. “I think there is a tailor who used to travel before he set up shop here. I remember Rayen talking about getting a dress made by him, because she wanted something foreign. I think his shop is called Tip Top Tailor.” He hoped he had the name right.. But if he didn't Rayen would know it. He hummed, enjoying the other's touch. “Good. I wouldn't tolerate anything less.” He chuckled, and nuzzled at the other man's hand. He was a bit surprised when Drashi started leading him toward the other room where the shower lay. “Together?” He questioned, face already heating to a blush. Nonetheless, he followed the other into the room, answering, “My parents, Singh, her husband, my uncle and aunt, and probably my dad's adviser and his wife. Maybe a few more.” He sighed, “They'll be arranging little dinners or activities like this for a while, to get to know you better.” “Y-you're very confident.” He breathed, watching Drashi, not for the first time, discard his clothes without an ounce of hesitation. If he'd been starting to blush a moment about when he'd realized what his prince had in mind, he really turned red under the hot gaze turned his way now. He didn't start unfastening his clothes until Drashi stepped into the tub, and distracted himself with the spray. He chuckled softly at the other man's observation. “It's nice, isn't it? You should see the aqueducts that run under the city.” He was shucking off the last of his clothes when Drashi offered him a hand. Nervous as he felt, he smiled as he took the hand, and let Drashi help him step into the large tub. His muscles all but sighed underneath the hot spray of water. “Um.. Would you help me take my hair down?” He asked shyly, shifting slightly to gesture to the braid that'd been pinned in place. With his hair still up, the bite mark Drashi had left on the back of his neck was prominent, purple and red accompanying the indent of teeth against his light skin. syaoran-puu
"Yes together." He chuckled, wondering at Faolan's sudden shyness considering what they had done together already. Especially the sex in the woods only an hour earlier. "Indeed, I had expected something like that." He said softly, trying to reassure the guy that he was more than prepared for anything tossed his way. He had after all, endured training from the moment of his birth for what he would later encounter. He chuckled at his mates comment, the slight stammer was adorable! "Why would I be embarrassed?" He teased, winking at Faolan. In truth Drashi was used to stripping off in front of company to shift and fly, and it wasn't as if Drashi had been a virgin before last night. He understood the other man's resistance but he knew he would do everything he could to pull the guy out of his shell. "Maybe I'll have to see them another day?" Drashi thought that Prince Faolan was absolutely sexy in his birthday suit. He didn't comment, not yet at least, he would later explore to see how far down that blush could go. He smiled a little and nodded, "Of course." With gentle hands he undid what he could see of Faolan's hair, taking it little by little as he pulled out strange objects that seemed to keep everything in place.... by the end he had a handful of.... clips? He wasn't sure so he held them out to the other prince, surely he would know what to do with them. "It must be rather time consuming putting your hair up like that, huh?" He commented. Maybe this was the truth behind keeping it short? Reduce the time...? With his free hand he ran it gently over the others naked shoulder, leaning down to kiss the now wet and slippy skin. "You are so very sexy, I bet you don't even understand how much appeal you have." Drashi was utterly enthralled. Another kiss, then another.... the taste of sweat and water combined together to entice Drashi even more. He ignored his growing erection though, right now wasn't the time.... later, later he could pamper and ravage his mate like he deserved. "Is there anything you want me to avoid talking about tonight?" He asked quickly, nuzzling the guys neck.
themasterdances
“I suppose if I looked like you I wouldn't be bashful either.” He chuckled, watching Drashi for a moment. Faolan was fairly sure he just looked short, skinny and pink without his clothes on, but Drashi carried himself like it was nothing- the confidence just made it sexier. Faolan closed his eyes, enjoying the way it felt to have someone pick through his hair. Each hair pin removed left him feeling a little lighter. When Drashi was finished, he ran his fingers through the wavy locks with a pleased sigh. “Thank you.” Accepting the pins back from the other, he leaned out of the spray of water to leave them on the ground. He'd have to redo his hair before dinner anyway. “It only takes a long time when the servants do it, because they want every hair to be perfect.” “Hardly.” He protested, not sure if he should be more amused or more embarrassed. But Drashi was looking at him like he was someone to be desired, and that sent heat right through him. He took advantage of the way his lovely tall prince had to lean down to reach his shoulder, matching every kiss to his shoulder with a kiss to Drashi's cheek. He managed to blush and laugh at the same time, “Definitely avoid anything involving us naked.” He giggled, nuzzling back at the other, and slinging an arm wetly around Drashi's shoulders. “Otherwise the truth is fine. They just want us to be getting along, which we are.”
syaoran-puu
"See! You do underestimate yourself." He pulled Faolan in close for a moment, just breathing in the other guys scent. It was soothing and pleased his dragon on so many levels that he knew he would be happy to stay right here forever for even a glimpse of that scent. To be able to hold his mate too....? Nirvana! When the other prince once more seemed to argue about his own sexiness Drashi simply smirked and nuzzled him. Pleased at the easy going affection that seemed to be naturally blooming between them. Mate His dragon purred contently, brushing against his skin as if trying to brush against Faolan. Soon, he promised his inner beast, soon. Soon he would introduce the young prince to a world beyond his imagination! He chuckled happily at his conversation restriction, "Indeed, that isn't exactly normal table etiquette conversation." He winked, "Your modesty is safe with me.... mostly." He teased. He thought a moment then said, "I am unlikely to lie. If I do not wish to tell the full truth I often manipulate the conversation into a different direction instead...." He admits, washing Faolan carefully before deeming them both done. "There. We're presentable again." He smirked, stepping out and grabbing two towels before wrapping one around his waist and returning for his prince. "Come here mate." He said, not noticing his own slip. He was far too comfortable apparently, but he couldn't bring himself to care! Not when his mate shone as glorious as the sun!
themasterdances
Faolan just chuckled and let Drashi pull him close. It felt so good being close to the other prince. He sighed contentedly, “I have an overwhelming urge to just curl up with you on the bed and skip dinner entirely.” Maybe they'd ditch the next dinner. Just to make up for the time lost tonight. “From what you've told me about your homeland, I couldn't be sure.” He teased. Apparently Draconians were quite a bit more comfortable with sex and nudity than people in Mingan were. He smiled at the wink, adding honestly, “I trust you.” Washing together was surprisingly relaxing, if a little arousing, by the time Drashi was stepping out of the shower he was doubly reluctant for dinner. His eyes lingered over his foreign prince's naked form, enjoying the sight until the towel interrupted it and he looked quickly back up, coloring slightly. “Hm? Oh, yes.. Thank you.” He stepped out of the tub, and accepted the towel, wrapping it around his waist as well. After a moment, he gave the other man a curious look, “'Mate'?”
syaoran-puu
Drashi chuckled heartedly at Foalan's wit. "True, I can see why that would be a concern. I am pretty sure one of my fathers first questions will be how is the sex." He cleared his throat, a little embarrassed just thinking about it, "so you should brace yourself for that. It's mostly because we have to consummate for the marriage to be legal, but I'm pretty sure my father is just a nosey old git too." He winked at Faolan, hoping to sooth any stress. "I'll be there when he attacks you though, and you don't have to tell him anything." He reassured, though in truth he wasn't sure how hard his father might press the subject. He hoped not at all, or his father might find himself facing Drashi's dragon. It wouldn't appreciate watching someone else make their mate blush so prettily from such questions. That was his job, no one else was allowed the privilege! He smiled though, how could he not? "I'm glad you trust me though Prince Faolan, that will take us a long way...." And that wasn't an exaggeration, having trust and building on it was far easier than building up from nothing. Gaining trust was a hard thing to truly accomplish.... and he wanted no doubts to exist in the others mans mind. Drashi would give up everything to make him happy. Everything. He tenderly tended his mates needs, patting and drying him with the cloud soft towel, only to freeze for a moment at the other princes question. He recovered quickly though and smiled. "Yes, just something we say in my homeland in relation to our partners. I am sorry for using the term, I had promised myself to use colloquialism from this region so that my meaning is never misunderstood." That sounded reasonable right? Just in case, it was time for distraction tactics! "Let's get you dressed in my kimono. I like the idea of my clothing touching your skin all night." Just to add to his tease he leaned in and kissed Faolan's ear. "Just imagine that its my hands, caressing your sexy body, and then imagine all the naughty things I want to do to you when I finally get your back into our bed." Where you belong He mused to himself. He smiled; "but before that, you might have to save me from dessert. Think anyone would notice if I swap our dishes half way through?" He winked. Leading them back into the main chamber and gathering up the beautiful kimono they had picked out already for his husband. "This colour really will suit you...." He mused quietly to himself. themasterdances
Faolan groaned, and shook his head, but found himself chuckling as well after a moment, “At least we won't have to lie?” He smiled up at the other, “I'll do my best. It's not like being a little embarrassed will kill me.” It was a little intimidating to think about eventually going to a foreign land to meet Drashi's father, but of course the other prince had done as much and more for him already. And he wanted to meet the man that'd raised Drashi. “If you're with me, I'll be fine.” He smiled He wasn't sure whether to blush or preen under the other prince's pampering. He liked the care with which Drashi was touching him. He gave an easy smile at the other's explanation for the word choice, “So it's a term of endearment? I like it.” He nodded brightly, excited to try the beautiful new clothing out. “Yes, I.. ahh..” His voice trailed off as the other kissed his ear and whispered too him. He shivered as if he could already feel the other prince's hands ghosting over his naked skin, as sensitive to the man's voice and words as ever. “T-that's going to be a distracting thought all dinner, you know?” “Not if you're very sneaky.” He laughed as he followed back to the room. His eyes drifted over the kimono. It looked so pretty and delicate.. “Thank you. For letting me wear this.” He leaned closer to the other, giving him a light peck on the cheek.
