Yuki was looking at the sky in his middle size box. He had his legs pressed against his chest and tail wrapped around his legs to keep the warmth. Yuki takes a blanket that a kind woman have given him for more warmth and puts it on top of his head, covering himself and closes his eyes with his ears flickering slightly.

Haru found himself walking down a calm street, thinking about how to get home the fastest. He usually didn't walk because his family had a driver. But that day was special. After all, it was his birthday. And like the spoiled man he was, Haru threw a fit and left the car. And that was how he ended up on foot in an unknown territory. Haru approached a box: not too big, not to small. Curious, he peered inside. Right in front of him, staring with glimmering blue eyes, sat a neko. Haru was a bit captivated… he was so not expecting that turn of events.

Yuki's ears twitch a little as he was listening to the footsteps walking by when he was neither fully asleep nor awake. Luckily it wasn't a cold day or Yuki would have to find a different location to have his box, somewhere warmer. Fortunately, Yuki met a nice woman he could spend the night with to have somewhere to sleep and have a decent meal, the same woman that gave him the blanket. She usually stopped by at Yuki's box, wondering how things were going and kept him company before she went to work. Yuki's ears start to flicker when footsteps were approaching him slowly, figuring it was just the woman to see how he was but to his surprise seeing blue eyes when her eyes were green. Yuki stares at the eyes and tilts his head with his ears flickering and tail swishing back and forth.

Haru raised an eyebrow. A… neko?

 

"Oi, are you okay?" Haru asked, looking at the neko in the box.

 

He made sure that his icy blue eyes were fixed on this neko. He wanted to make sure that he wasn't seeing things. This blue eyed neko… he seemed rather… how to put it? Cramped in that box, maybe? Regardless of space, the neko looked rather at home. Especially with that blanket. Haru, who had grown up with only luxury items, really never understood how people kept mementos. He only saw mementos as "useless old trash". Seeing the box, Haru sighed.

 

"Hm… why don't I bring you to my home? There, you can eat whatever you want." Haru had asked that question on a whim, only thinking of the neko in front of him. He usually didn't ask people to come to his house. But this neko… he was something that Haru found very… intriguing.

Yuki looks at the other person and flickers his ears, nodding his had slowly as he rests his head on his knees.

 

He starts to make soft purring noises and rubs against the blanket, feeling the nice warmth it was giving off along with the sun shining on the blanket. Yuki looks back at the other male and tilts his head, wondering why he was still here and slowly leans forward to sniff him to pick up his scent but pulls back once getting a scent and flickers his tail, ~w..why is he still here and why is he staring at me like that," he covers his eyes with his tail and pulls down the blanket a little.

 

Yuki looks at the male while resting on his knees and blinks a little, holding his tail, "b-but... I was told to wait here until my friend came back," in hoping she would come back and not forget him as he slowly perks his head up.

Haru watched in curiosity.

 

"You look cramped. Are you sure you want to wait for her in this box? Why don't I bring you to my place and you can eat. After that, we can find that friend of yours," he suggested, still glazing his icy eyes over Yuki's face.

 

Haru walked to the nearest light post, then strolled back, rather leisurely. He stretched and watched the neko, waiting for his answer. And Haru wouldn't take no for an answer. Never.

Yuki watches Haru and flickers his ears as he slowly pulls down the blanket from over his head. His ears and tail fully exposed, tilting his head, "you... really want me to go with you though?" Yuki stands up and shakes his legs out one at a time, stepping out of the box.

 

He watches Haru walk to the light post and holds onto the blanket. Yuki left the box since the store owner would put it away for him and slowly walks over to Haru, looking up at him with his big blue eyes, "so we are going to your house," he tilts his head.

Haru found himself successful in taking home the neko. Why he was taking him home? Not even Haru himself knew. But he had done it. Haru led Yuki to the large mansion that his family owned. Things were pretty quiet between them, and Haru knew that he'd have to come up with an explanation. He neared the back of his mansion and slid into his back veranda. After doing so, he led the neko up to his room and closed the door shut as soon as they walked in.

Yuki walks along side Haru, holding his tail and the blanket. He looks up at Haru while he was walking, wondering why he would want him to be in his house. He flickers his ears as he looks up at the mansion, tilting his head a little and walking along side Haru, looking around the area. As he followed Haru to his bedroom and his ears perk up, looking over his shoulder as the door closed and sits on the floor.

Haru watched the neko as he sat on his floor. Someone knocked on his door, so he inched to it and opened it a crack.

 

"What?" Haru spat coldly.

 

"Master, your dinner is ready," a servant said.

 

Haru grunted and shut the door. As he turned around, his eyes met the neko's. What was he going to do? Bring him down to the dining room table? That didn't seem too right. After all, his parents would question him and make a big fuss about it. He walked closer to the neko and leaned closer to him.

 

"I'm about to eat dinner. I'll bring you a plate as soon as I finish," he said, backing away and softly brushing Yuki's cheek.

 

He extended his hand to the boy and said, "Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Haru. This is my home. And what's your name?"

Yuki looks around the room as he spreads out his legs, with his arms in front of him and flickers his ears when hearing a knock on the door.

 

He crawls away from the door and sits near Haru's bed in the same position he was, sitting on his blanket.

 

Yuki watches Haru as he was at the door and he looks up at him, blinking his eyes innocently and looks at all the hanging objects in the room. He then looks down from the cieling as Haru was starting to approach him and look directly at Haru when he leanned in closer.

 

He tilts his head as he listen to Haru talking and nods his head, wagging his tail with a soft purr when his cheek was touched but lowers his ears when Haru moved away.

 

Yuki looks at Haru's hand and flickers his hears, sniffing it slightly and looks up at Haru, "H-Haru? My name ...is Yuki," he holds his tail to his chest.

Yuki… Haru let the brilliant name soak in for a while. He pet Yuki's head (and scratched his ear), then left the bedroom. In the dining room sat his mother and father, both austere and pompous. He sat a few seats away from them and looked at his parents' solemn faces. To him, it felt like someone had died.

 

"Mother, father. Good evening," he greeted.

 

They looked up from their potatoes and green beans and sighed in unison.

 

"Haru, where have you been?" his mother asked, her wrinkles clearly showing.

 

"Your driver came back without you!" his father exclaimed, not giving Haru a chance to answer.

 

Haru picked up his plate and sighed. "I apologize. I will be upstairs then." He turned to a servant. "Bring me an extra play of food. Add meat to it, as well. And once you have it, bring it to my bedroom."

 

"Why do you need extra food in your room?" his father asked.

 

Haru smirked. "I found a pet. It's a cat."

 

And with that, he left. He entered his room in silence, bringing the scent of hot food with him.

Yuki closes his eyes as Haru was petting his head, purring softly and wag his tail, swishing his tail side to side and watches Haru leave his room. He flickers his ears and paws at the tag on the blanket, laying down on his blanket.

 

His ears twitch a little and flickers his tail a little, pressing his ear to the floor as he was listening to the downstairs to listen to the conversation in the dining room.

 

He licks his paw a little and looks around the room, "what should I do...? I don't want to make a mess of his room or he might get angry," he lowers his ears a little.

 

Yuki looks up and crawls over to the yarn balls near the door. He tilts his head and pokes them with his paw. He wags his tail and paws at the ball, making it fall on the ground and starts to play with it.

 

As he was playing with the yarn ball, it slowly wraps around his foot to his leg as he was playing. Yuki looks down at his leg as the yarn wrapped around him, slowly wrapping around him.

 

His ears flicker when he heard the door open and seeing Haru come in, blinking his eyes as he squirms with the yarn bonded him.

Haru walked in and sighed at the sight he saw. Yuki was oddly enough, tangled in yarn. Haru set the food on his table and bent down next to Yuki. Seeing the neko in a bind… it made his sadistic side come out.

 

He sneered. "Oh? You're stuck? Need help? Well, I don't feel like helping you. I'll just sit here and watch you struggle at least, for now."

Yuki continue looking at Haru and wiggles a little as he starts to bite on the yarn. He looks as Haru was slowly approaching him with his ears slowly going up as he wags his tail and starts to roll.

 

He tilts his head and looks down at the yarn, biting it a little more, loosening the yarn a little but only a little. Yuki pouts a little and starts to roll along the floor, giggles softly and slowly unwraps the yarn. He sits up and looks at the yarn that was no longer wrapped around him, looking at Haru, wagging tail, "I-I got out of the yarn. Should I pick up my mess," he tilts his head slowly to the side.

Haru pointed at the yarn. "I advise you to clean it, unless you don't want to eat."

 

He walked to his bed and sat on edge and watched Yuki. Haru found this neck rather amusing, but he couldn't put his finger on why.

Yuki nods his head slowly and grabs the yarn, wrapping it around his hand as he was picking it up slowly.

 

By the time he was finish wrapping it around his hand and picking up all the yarn, he looks at his hand which was in a big ball of yarn. Yuki shakes his hand and tries to get the yarn ball off his hand. He crawls over to where he found the basket of yarn and places his other hand on the yarn ball, pushing it off as it comes off his hand and he falls on the floor. Yuki looks towards Haru and blinks his eyes a little, wagging his tail.

Haru watched the nejo in amusement. He didn't think or wonder why in the world this neko was doing what he was doing.

 

Someone knocked on the door, so he called out, "What?"

 

"It's the plate you requested, master," a servant answered.

 

Haru stretched out on his bed. "Bring it in then. And place it on the floor."

 

The door slid open and a servant walked on, then followed Haru's orders and placed the plate of hot food on the floor.

Yuki rolls over so he was bent over on his hands and knees, swishing his tail and lets out a yawn, licking his paws a little with his legs slightly spread.

 

His ears perk up after hearing a knock on the door and he runs to Haru's bed, hiding under Haru's bed with his fur slightly puff up.

 

Yuki looks from under the bed, only to see a person come into the room and tilts his head a little. He looks up slowly, seeing a tag and starts to paw at it.

 

He wags his tail, showing a motion as the covers where on his tail making it look like something moving from under the bed.

Haru sighed. What was that neko doing?

 

"Ok, Yuki. This food here is yours. So come on out and eat," he said, getting off of his bed and walking to his dresser.

Yuki flickers his ears while watching the servant by the doorway.

 

He tilts his head and comes out from under the bed, swishes his tail side to side. Yuki walks up to the food and paws it, sitting in front of the plate and watches Haru at the dresser.

At the dresser, Haru dug through some of his belongings to find his brush. He had a habit to brush his hair. After doing so, he went turned around to see Yuki watching him.

Haru walked closer and poked the neko right on the left cheek.

 

"Oi, you. Aren't you going to eat?"

Yuki watches his tail wag and tries to pounce it, flickering his ears. He picks up the fork and tilts his head, bites it softly and shakes his head from the metal taste. Yuki scoops the fork into the food and picks up the fork, bringing the fork to his mouth and puts the food in his mouth, starting to eat.

 

He blinks a little and looks at Haru while he was starting to eat.

Haru sat back down on his bed and watched Yuki. So what was he going to do next with the neko? Leave him be or trick him into staying?
